    Charcuterie and cheese
    Christina D.

I can't believe I've lived in the valley for over a year and I'm just now uncovering this roadside GEM. Stopped by on a beautiful summer afternoon and was greeted by two friendly, knowledgeable and endearing bartenders who provided a delightful wine tasting - this month they featured wines from Austria. I'm usually unimpressed and indifferent towards most white wines, but I was pleasantly surprised by all three. So much so that I even purchased the wiener gemischter satz that I'm looking forward to sharing with my partner. The reds were also delightful (I also purchased a Meinklang red.) I had already made dinner plans but did pair my wines with the charcuterie and cheese board. It was delicious - especially the goat cheese soaked in red wine and prosciutto. The presentation was exquisite yet not over the top. Equally as exciting was the wine and bottle shop - to my delight, they had SO many Belgian beers which is my absolute favorite! As an east coaster, I don't see many places around here with such a comprehensive variety of Belgians. I can't wait to come back for a full dining experience. Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon. I'll return soon!!!!

    Fantastic food and wine!

Besides the great wine and talented wine sommeliers, the food is off the charts! I've always had a great time and delicious experience with each visit.

Absolutely amazing. We came here for appetizers and wine before heading to the neighbors place for an anniversary dinner. Bad move on our part. We should have stayed here. The food here was much more elegant, tasty, and much more care and concern was taken by Will to prepare our dishes. There weren't many people here on a nice fall day, so I'm thinking we got more attention from the owner and Chef Will. But that being said, I believe we would have gotten the same love and yumminess if the place was full. Family owned and operated means love in everything they do. The escargot was awesome. The olives were incredible. Who knew that orange and lemon zest fixed my distaste for olives. I love how the menu changes every 2 weeks and that the menu is so incredibly limited, that the chef can take the best care and concern for the food that is deserved. The wine here is amazingly reasonable and then if you want to be extravagant you can. Ranging from $12-150 for a bottle of wine, there's something for everyone. We were also so incredibly happy with their love for Belgian beers like us. Chimay on tap. Yes please. The variety of bottles of Belgians was awesome. Most I had never heard of. I'm impressed that these guys have a liquor license and yet specialize in wine and beer. Sprinkle in some scotch tasting, and that's why they have the liquor license. Can't believe it. Classy-ness for sure. Will definitely return and not go to the neighbors place.

SIMPLY INCREDIBLE . Hands down one of the BEST places I've been to in the entire state of Montana. We called ahead since we had a large group and we were beyond thankful that they were able to accommodate us. The ambience is chic, classy yet comfortable and still inviting. The back patio is cozy and stunning with all the edible flowers and herbs growing up the cliff mountain. Several of the herbs and flowers are featured in their dishes. Love the farm to table touch! Every single person in our large party was BLOWN AWAY!! All the dishes were on point. Perfectly seared scallops, amazing steaks, fresh garden salads, flavor forward escargot and decadent desserts!! Another amazing detail about this place... They change their menus (food and wine tasting) every two weeks!! We've been needing a place like this in the Flathead Valley for some time now. I'm just sad I didn't find it sooner! To top it all off... the service here is top notch! I can honestly say that this place has some of the best customer service I've experienced while here in Montana. I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy this place more often!! Congratulations to the owners, chef and staff!! You guys are the bomb.com Can't wait to come back!!

Hidden gem. Absolute delicious cuisine. Great choice of wine and beer and priced very well for the quality. Escargot, zucchini salad, snapper and chocolate mousse.

It would normally have grapefruit vodka in it, but I'm not a fan of vodka or any of its flavoring. The kind bartender substituted the alcohol to gin with a splash of grapefruit at no extra charge. I believe the bartender is the owner as it seemed to be a one man show. The same guy was our server, a bus boy, bartender, and our host! He was probably the cook too! Talk about wearing many hats! I ordered the golden and red beets with goat cheese for $12 and this came to the table looking like a colorful masterpiece. Every bite was delicious. The huckleberry creme brûlée was great! The huckleberries are hiding at the bottom of the ramiken. I'm a tourist and was on a mission to eat everything huckleberry and this dessert did not disappoint! It's a must try! My boyfriend ordered the wild mushroom crepe $16 which was roasted wild mushrooms, prosciutto and swiss cheese with mornay sauce. I thought the crepe was a little undercooked, but he absolutely loved it. I also thought it was a bit salty for my taste, but the mushrooms were tasty! I ordered the $16 grilled salmon and andouille sausage over spinach with tomatoes, fresh orange and red onion. I never heard of these two proteins together, but they make a dynamic duo! I'd like to say it's a warm salad and it was so good! The charred salmon was the star of this dish!

We were seated within five minutes in a room with a view of the street. It was raining outside, and it felt nice and cozy inside the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and checked in on how we were doing regularly. We ordered the Tot-chos (half order to share among six people) and I also got a huckleberry soda for myself as well as the bison (classic) burger with sweet potato fries. For dessert, we shared two scoops of huckleberry ice cream (from Sweet Peaks), the bread pudding and the beignets. I loved the Tot-chos, and the half order was honestly a pretty big size already! The huckleberry soda was pretty sweet (I think it had 41 grams of sugar), but I don't regret trying it. The bison burger wasn't bad, it definitely tasted similar to beef, but it was a huge burger so I couldn't finish it. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. In terms of the dessert, I had gone to Sweet Peaks already and liked their huckleberry flavor a lot, so I was excited to see them on the menu. People at my table loved the bread pudding. I thought the beignets were not bad, but they weren't as good as the other desserts.

Now I have read some reviews with the pretentious tone of "it's not California wine", well... no dah!! You're in Montana! When we visit wineries in different parts of the country, don't expect it to be like some other place where the elevation, soil and environment is different. In stead, ask what they can grow? What does well and why. Will was fantastic and quite frankly why I would return. His knowledge and background, helped us gain a better understanding about the grapes and what was being presented. Will understands customer service and building relationships. This winery will do very well by being themselves and not conforming to people's uneducated pallet comments. Cheers to White Raven!!

Being from a wine county in California we were certainly looking forward to trying Montana wine. This is a great stop or hang out, they have events every week and stay open pretty late. It was exciting to our daughter to see all of the animals on the wall and see the bear skins. The woman who was the host was super friendly and very informative. We did a couple of wine flights to make sure we tasted a wide spread of their wines, from the Montana wines to the wines from the other states. Wine style was different from what we are used to, but pleasant nonetheless. I was expecting some to be a bit sweeter, but thankfully they were pretty dry. We ended up buying a couple of bottles to bring back with us. I wish we had bought more as their Marquette has really grown on me.
