It has potential. Some things were great and some things were not great. We ordered two plate platters, one with ribs and brisket, the other with chicken and brisket, as well as a pork slider kids meal. The rib and brisket meat was not fresh. Tasted reheated and dry. The Mac & cheese was just okay and the baked beans had a mixture of different beans in them and were not a traditional baked bean. The platters were served with cornbread. While it was served cold, it did come with honey butter that was tasty. The smoked chicken was very good, but I wish it had been fresh as well. The brisket was tender and the smoke ring was noticeable. The BBQ sauce and horseradish in the sandwich just made a well rounded flavor. The piggyback BBQ is small restaurant located near Whitefish. The service is fast and the server was nice and attentive. The ambience is old fashioned with license plates, wood walls, metal signs and (you guessed it) pictures of pigs. I do have some qualms about the mac and cheese which if you're expecting cheese then you will be sorely disappointed, it isn't bad but it tastes a little strange. The fried pickles and okra are a little much and will be greasy. Other then that the brisket, pork and sausage are extremely tasty and you should 100% try them. Overall you should definitely pay them a visit but don't order the mac & cheese expecting mac & cheese. read more

We went for dinner and it was great! I had the baked potato with pulled pork- it was delicious. The pulled pork was lean and tender and perfectly cooked. My husband had the ribs and pulled pork. The ribs were really good as well, tender. The dry rub was so good my he bought some to take home with us. The coleslaw was good as well- it was a vinegar base not mayo, it was crunchy and tangy. We chatted with the waitstaff once the rush had slowed down and they were all personable and fun. The food was outstanding!!! Dare I say the best bbq I've ever had, and that's saying something coming from a southern girl. The hushpuppies were full of flavor, the wings were smoky and crispy (we had the Carolina mustard), the burger was a melting pot of complimentary flavors and the bbq mack bowl (with brisket) was saucy and HUGE! We also tried the cornbread and that was delicious - the only thing that would make it better was if it was served warm. Our server, Wes, was fun and laid back. He brought the energy and helped make it a great experience. The place had a fun, quirky vibe with its decorations, but was a little small. That being said, we only waited about 5 mins to be seated, and the food came out in an appropriate amount of time. Well, I finally found a good BBQ place in Whitefish! After spending a week in town and eating around, everything tasted "franchised" until, on our last day, one of the family said they're going to walk down the street and try Piggyback's. I said, let's get some BBQ to go and we'll make a dinner out of it at home, and what a great decision that was!! TBH as soon as I walked in, I knew it was going to be great.
