We usually enjoy Tumble 22, but today's visit was disappointing. After placing our order, we waited for over 20 minutes while our waitress (who was also working the bar) ignored us, we gave up and walked out. Their food is usually really great, but we never found out today. There is another location in Cedar Park that is easier to access and has more seating available. I think we'll head there next time. read more

Let me start by saying that I've been to the Tumble 22 on Burnet and it feels like a completely different restaurant than this location in Round Rock. We ate outside on the patio and ordered drinks, deviled eggs, a salad, strips and chicken sandwich. The deviled eggs were awesome like always. The drinks were terrible and not drinkable. I didn't bring it to the attention of the server, instead focusing on the food. The Mac and Cheese and smothered fries were good. The salad was served on a plate with paper underneath. Of course this immediately soaked the paper so we asked for a bowl. Nope, no bowls. Ok a to go container is better than eating paper and salad. I don't understand the choice to offer salads but no bowls. The chicken sandwich was so over done that it was uneatable. It was basically a piece of cardboard with crust. I'm assuming this was the same for the bone in chicken because when I look at a table nearby, their bone in chicken was uneaten but lucked at as if they had the same issue of over cooked chicken. The positive, the chicken strips were cooked decently and the server was very nice. In short, I wouldn't recommend this location but would take a trip back to the Burnet location. read more

I have been to this location a few times this year and keep forgetting to leave a review. The hot chicken is really good, but be careful because their extra spicy is hard to handle. Everytime i have stopped here they have a special sandwich and i just usually order that. Never been disappointed. They do have little bar but Haven't ordered anything besides a beer. read more

Don't bother with this location. We love to try the monthly specials. But Tonight had the waitress not want to walk around to the head of our table so instead reached over the railing to have us distribute the drinks ourselves - guess how that went? Water all over the table, napkins etc. never did get new napkins. Ordered... waited.... Waited... watched every table in the room get food. Our waitress came back and said - so are you just waiting on your food? What else would we be waiting for? She never returned with an update. Flagged down someone else who checked and said oh your order is next to be filled. Pretty sure it wasn't submitted the first time. Food arrived.... Again with the over the rail...told waitress that might work better if she actually walked around to the table. Half the food was cold, sides were with wrong sandwiches....You only serve a handful of things... how can things go this wrong? Cherry on the top was getting charged $.50 for each half cup of watered down ranch dressing we got.Not again Round Rock... I'll drive farther next time. read more

DON'T go do this one - go to the one in Cedar Park. For the second time, a large Mac is TINY (ie the size of a small at the other location), they've neglected to give us dressing on a "large" salad. read more

Round Rock Location Not impressed. Probably a one and done -sorry tumble. Chicken tasted like chicken. Good, but pretty much KFC without some of the spices - maybe a bit drier Potato salad. Nope. Potato's were mushy and mealy. I'll stay with McAllisters for potato salad Collard greens. Hope you like vinegar Mac and cheese not bad but large side - only filled a bit more than 1/2 in the container so felt cheated. Fries were the highlight. Larger than shoestring but still nice thin fries. Very good flavor. Extra star for the fries - so up to 2. Expensive Surprised they are able to open so many sites. read more

The host was indifferent and rude. We asked for four people to be seated. He literally just walked away from us without saying a word but come to find out he was taking us to our table. He waved us down from the table at the end of the restaurant. The waiter was rushing us and didn't come back to the table to provide water or straws for a drinks. The chicken was bland not seasoned at all and the deviled eggs were expensive for only receiving five slices. We were not impressed. I will not return. read more

The wait was INSANE. They did not know how to handle a large party and it took much longer than it needed to for us to be seated and they had no where for us to wait. Once we were seated the food was EXCELLENT. So just don't go with a large group? read more

Really glad quality Austin places are coming to Round Rock. T22 isn't my favorite hot chicken in the Austin area, but it's certainly better than anything else we've got in Round Rock. I can also feed my whole family of 4 from here with their Picnic Dinner for $25. Hope this location sticks around! read more

I love Tumble22! 2 stars because you are delicious. Don't get me wrong. My complaint is that they won't allow us to order 2 heat levels on the 8 pc picnic. I asked if we could do 1/2 wimpy and 1/2 dang hot. I have kids that will not eat anything above wimpy, and I didn't come to tumble for basic fried chicken. I explained this to them and they straight up refused. No explanation other than "those are the rules". Something about it would "slow down service" and "corporate makes the rules we don't like it either". Whatever. I was already here so I got 8 PC wimpy. Dissatisfied and disappointed, Tumble22. Absolutely abysmal service received today at this tumble 22. I forgot my wallet and wanted to check if the to go people would accept Apple Pay. I go in and talk to the man working at the bar on 5/17/21 and he tells me that unfortunately they do not accept Apple Pay. Great no harm done. His coworker nicely reminds him that they do indeed accept Apple Pay. Nice! jackpot right? After his coworker leaves he tells me that he doesn't know how Apple Pay works and even if the machine does accept Apple Pay he doesn't want to really do it and sends me to go order online. At this point I don't want to argue with this guy and I just tell him I'll order online. Even though I do not have my wallet and you need a credit card to order online. Cool cool. I go outside call someone to get my wallet, get my card, and ask them to tell me my credit card number and I order online. Tried to order the chicken picnic which is a Monday-Tuesday deal only and for some reason it is an extra $2.75 online and you can't pick fries as a side for some reason? Very great. Very nice. So I order online and in order to try to get my fries I order two Mac and cheese and in the additional section I ask for it to be replaced with fries because they have the same additional $2 charge. Okay finally I've put in my order and the food came out in a reasonable timely manner, so big ups to tumble for that. When the food comes out I ask the man who delivers it to my car if my fries are in there since I unofficially asked for them but still paid for them and he says yes. Cool all done got my food and I'm about to grub. I get home and check on my food with my family and lo and behold the fries have somehow either gone missing on my 25 min drive back or they were never given to me. Also, the meal was missing my sauce for my tenders. I love me some dry tenders. Okay well now that my food is not here I'll call the restaurant to see if I can get some kind of compensation since part of my meal is missing. On to the call. I call the RR location and tell them my predicament and I get hung up on. I call them back, pretty annoyed at this point, and ask for a manager and who I was talking to. I was apparently talking to and was hung up on by an "Ezekiel". Not very cool of Ezekiel but finally got ahold of the manager, Ashley, and she was able to set it straight. I ordered the southern chicken sandwich. I only got maybe one good bite of chicken and had to throw out the rest. It was so much fat and tasted very gross. My boyfriends sandwich (OG) was a little better but he also wasn't impressed. Fries were very stale. We ordered delivery and it only took 20mins from us ordering to drop off. My family and I tried your round rock location. Our waiter was Matthew T. The food was great but it was the worst service experience I have ever had. All except one person at out tables order came out wrong. When we told the young lady delivering the food she went to correct it. Matthew came but out and said "Is there a problem?" And threw up his hands. We explained what was wrong with the orders. We switched as many items as we could with in the table to have to replace the least amount of things as possible. We got the bills and were charged for items that we never even got. On top of that everyone's side were rung out individually. Incredible... that's the only word that is necessary to describe our experience this evening. My wife and I are not the typical "fried chicken" people, we take it or leave it. We've been wanting to try this place since the day they opened but finally got around to it. Customer service goes a really long way with us so we were immediately impressed by the hostess that managed to seat us quickly despite what looked like a long wait ahead. Our waiter, Jared, had an awesome personality and great recommendations. Every time he stopped by he added something to the experience, whether it be a beer recommendation, information about the chicken on the menu or the dessert that my wife ended up loving (I'm not a sweets guy). We both ordered chicken salads, both were absolutely incredible. You rarely get a crispy chicken salad that perfectly balances the ingredients like this one did. Chicken was amazing, deviled eggs were amazing, dressing was note-worthy. Between Jared's great service and the above-average chicken options, we will most certainly make this our new weekly dine-in. The food was so good! Chicken was crispy and moist. We had beans, Mac N Cheese and fries for sides and they were all good. Good Mac N Cheese that isn't powdery tasting is hard to come by, but it was SO GOOD and didn't taste powdery at all. Seating was great there was no wait time. Food was ok..when we finally got it. Our waitress was not very pleasant did come by a couple of times but seemed to be more attentive to others around us... My daughters food was cold my fries were cold. It took FOREVER to get our simple order. We saw several tables around us have customers seat, eat and leave before we got our food a few times. Other waiters were more helpful than the one we got. I didn't get her name at that point, I didn't care to. all I knew is she had an accent and pig tails. We were excited to try this place but were very disappointed. The potato salad side doesn't even fill the container, it's a small scoop and the potatoes were very dry. Not good at all. Then they switched the chicken on our order, one with no pickles was supposed to be wimpy and the one with extra pickles should have been Mo Hot. The buns were a good sweet bun and very soft, the chicken was good but not great. Over priced for what you get. I Don't recommend. read more
