They are so...... dang....... slow...... Now I know why it's called Tumble 22, because it takes EXACTLY 22 mins to get a crispy chicken sandwich even when there is only ONE other person waiting in front of you in the drive thru. Sandwiches are good, so are the deviled eggs. People are nice but it's so....... slow. read more

Had the pleasure of stopping in today for lunch at this little gem. The service was amazing, they brought out a tasting tray since it was our first time. Everyone we dealt with from start to finish was extremely pleasant and informative. The food was delicious! From the Mac & cheese to the greens and the incredibly juicy and flavorful chicken, it did not disappoint! It didn't break the bank either, like so many establishments these days. If this is the standard, then they'd definitely get a regular out of me read more

I Ubereats this place. It's one of the better restaurants in Austin, so I'm surprised at the low reviews- I'm guessing it got review bombed at one point? They definitely understand spicy- I never get surprised by spice and I was (clucking hot and stupid hot)! Chicken sandwich was super juicy; Mac and cheese was super cheesy and delicious; chicken nuggets were great. Id order again. read more

Crispy, juicy, hot and freaking delicious! T22 Burnet is one of our regular spot for fried chicken aS my sons loves it, but it's way too far, we were happy when we knew it's coming up in cedar park. Went Friday around 8ish, drive through, person who took our order was wearing mask, gloves, we ordered 8pc mixed cHicken and fries, then we waited in a parking space where they have nos, they'll tell on which no we have to park, then a guy came and dRoped off, it took 50is mins once we entered the drive thru to get our food. Everything was nicely packed, chicken was good, it was fresh, crispy outside, juicy Inside, chicken pieces are huge, 4pcs was enough for 2adults and a kid, we usually go for dang hot spice level, there chicken is bit oily but we don't mind once in a while:) family pack chicken comes with Cole slaw, Fries was good too, it was crispy not too greasy, pErfectly seasoned with salt. And don't forget to order their comeback sauce, it's goooood. Should see if they're consistent, we like T22, and recommend it! read more

Drive thru during Covid. 6:30pm pull in, 6:45 got order. Friendly service, efficient and timely. The food is absolutely fantastic! It hit the spot! I paid $60 + $12 tip for 6 pc wimpy tenders, 3 pc jumbo wimpy tenders (with comeback sauce is made with horse radish & the ranch is flippin delicious), LG mac'n cheese, individual sides of beans, greens and kale slaw. I also got the blueberry crumble pie and the pecan pie. Tenders, Ranch, Mac'n cheese, Greens, Pies are super delicious! Beans are ranch style with good flavor. Slaw is mild. Sweet tea is really good! I will be back for sure!!!! read more

I was in the area on their second day of opening so I pulled up to the drive through window. I was second in line for lunch. The order taker was wearing a mask and gloves. As quickly as possible I read the menu and decide after a few questions, to order the bone in four piece family pack. Moved up to the pick up window but waited for the truck in front of me to get his food. Except he didn't so he pulled over to the side parking spaces to wait. I confirmed my order and was told to pull into the same parking area. The truck behind was told the same. It takes time to cook the chicken and I had no problem waiting. It was maybe 12 minutes and a guy came out and gave the first truck his food. Then he came to my car and delivered mine. Off I went to get home and eat. Unpacking my goodies and found they forgot the slaw that was to come with it. (This is the reason for 4 stars). The chicken was delicious. Outside crunchy. Inside moist. I ended up eating two pieces and saving two for later. I warmed them up in the oven and still have crunch. I planned on going again but think I'll wait until the lines aren't around the building. read more

The food is always amazing but the service is always terrible. I finished my food and waited for my server for like 15 minutes. My server gave a girl her take out order then proceeded to flirt with her for a while before coming to give me my bill. I like to come here and eat then leave. This happens every time I go there. I finish, then I wait for a long time before my server comes to check on me and check me out. Need better servers not these kids who don't care. read more

In Cedar Park, at the intersection of the 183A Frontage road and Whitestone, a new restaurant replaced PDQ. "Tumble 22 Hot Chicken" is a new Fried Chicken experience. Hot Chicken is very popular in the South/MidWest and gaining popularity all over. The spice levels are cooked into the chicken (no dipping sauce) and can cause severe sweating as you advance through the choices. But don't worry, you can have the wimpy style if you can't take the heat The flavor is exceptional. I specifically love the crunchy crust with the tender juicy meat. The breast is always a challenging piece to cook for any restaurant. T22 still manages to prepare nice and juicy breast meat with a tasty crunchy batter. I ordered the 8 piece for the family and a "OG Sandwich" spice level 2. The Sandwich had a nice heat to it and the coleslaw on top help to calm the flavor. Nice big chunks of meat. The sides can use a little work. I tried the greens, tender but not much flavor. The Mac and Cheese was nice, the white cheese sauce got very thick by the time I arrived home. packaging). Don't mind the line or the wait time. This is the norm for Hot Chicken resturants. I've waited 60-90 mins on the West Coast for similar spots. The drive thru experience is quite organized, But poor directional signage. Enter behind "LUPES". You order and pay at the first tent. Drive around for your drinks then the last window assigns you a stall to wait. Food came up in about 10 mins after ordering. Price is a little higher than your average Fried Chicken choices, but the flavor is exceptional. Try them out and sample the spice choices Michael Cummings Georgetown, Texas read more

Garbage over priced trash booty. The food was drenched in sauce and it was Soggy. I'd rather eat at the Chum Bucket. 0/1,000 worst food I've ever had. read more

When I took the first bite of this sandwich, I knew it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I had ever had. Great potato salad and Mac and cheese too. But yeah, just a terrific Nashville-style chicken. House-made coleslaw, great sauce, and a good level of heat at "Cluckin' Hot." Moist chicken, crisp fried layer... Very poor and slow service. I watched as 6 vehicles after me got their food... and they also serve high fructose corn syrup ketchup so that's sad as well. No utensils for my salad through the drive thru. Very VERY poor!! This is the second time it's been poor!!! Bad management!!! read more

Before you head out to dine, make sure you have masks with you. They are not allowing customers without masks. We went in for lunch. This was our first time dining at Tumble22. We ordered the "Mo hot" spice levels for our chicken. The spice level was just right for us. The Cobb salad was great too and we ordered the chocolate cream pie for dessert, the quantity was too much even for three of us to finish after the chicken and salad. It was a good experience. Just a couple things, we had to wait quiet a long time for our food to arrive. And, also the servers don't ask for refills, you'll have to call them to get a refill of soda/iced tea. read more

Always like tumble 22 the other day I called in a to go order picked it up got all the way home didn't get my pie, beans, or Mac and cheese. Had to drive all the way back to get them and then back home resulting in us having to eat cold sandwiches. Just don't understand how you could blatantly forget or not check if the order is proper before handing it out. read more

Change the way you make orders. I can't believe how many steps there are just to ordee online.

T 22 is still putting out wonderful fare. I recently ordered the chicken cobb salad. Hopefully, you are hungry as this salad is more than plenty for 1 or 2. You receive two large pieces of hot chicken, a deviled egg, avocado, and the rest of the usual suspects that Inhabit a salad. After reading about their Mac n Cheese I had to order a side. This side was pretty darn good. Thick and creamy and the pasta was not overcooked. One nit the chicken was mildly spicy but a dab or two of hot sauce and perfecto. read more

The service was great. Our waitress was really nice. The restaurant was very clean. The food, however, was severely lacking. This restaurant seems like the product of a research firm recognizing hot chicken is an underserved market with an opportunity for growth. It definitely is not the product of someone who has vision and passion for their food. The fries were stale and under salted, the chicken was not juicy and fresh. It tasted like basic Cisco food with little to no flavor. read more

I was hoping to receive a free Bloody Mary or drink of your choice, or a meal on us deal but never did. But despite my last dine in catastrophe, I gave in !! LOL !! Like I said, I love their chicken but I'm still PO'd over the Undrinkable Bloody Mary and 50¢ for two pickles !!! See my recent Golden Chick picture !!! Got 10 extra pickles for 20¢, now that's a deal !!! I ordered on line and got the 8 piece bites Dang Hot which are Dang Delicious. I also got a side of greens which are very good. For now, I'm keeping them at two stars solely over my frustration from my last dine in experience. read more

We've tried a few different tumble 22 locations and this was our first time trying the cedar park location. The food came out practically in seconds which we were shocked by. The chicken was delicious, hot, and crispy. I'm a big fan of tumble 22 fries but this location seemed to have different fries that reminded me of McDonald's fries. We also came during happy hour which wasn't really advertised. We had to ask about happy hour and ask for the happy hour menu which was through a QR code not readily accessible to us. We also got the hot spice level on our chicken and didn't feel like it was spicy at all. read more

Ordered online, showed up at the expected time, still waited 15-20 minutes. Ordered 2 sandwiches, different heat levels-they weren't marked. The chicken breast in my 1/2 order was SO DRY it was a choking hazard! Usually love this place, but this time was a total miss for $70! read more

Great spot for some fried chicken. The ranch they serve with the chicken is to die for. Seriously the best ranch I've ever had! We usually order the chicken tenders and they are large-do not underestimate the size. The chicken is tender and juicy, and I always order it whimpy. I can't handle any spice at all! Curbside and drive through service is really quick, and staff has been friendly. Take advantage of the chicken picnic special on Monday's and Tuesday's! It's an absolute bargain with all the food you get. read more

Tumble 22 - Chicken Picnic Special! Monday and Tuesday all day. - Chicken Shop Near Me - Cedar Park, Texas

The standout items are the Dirty Fries and the Dirty Mac and Cheese. The beer cheese nicely offsets the spice in the chicken. The chicken sandwich is huge. Very soft bun goes well with the sandwich. We also enjoyed the bites. We got them in Mo' Hot spice level and cannot imagine what the higher spice levels must be like! The chicken seems high quality and is juicy. The servers are super friendly, but the restaurant seems a bit understaffed. I'd also recommend they turn the thermostat up a couple degrees. We ended up moving outside because it was so cold and the table next to us did the same. read more

Solid food, probably a personal favorite for fried chicken spots! Didn't know they had one in cedar park. My group of 4 friends ordered the 12 Piece Family for $32 and it was a lot of food. We also got many sides, here's my review for each of them: Chicken: got the mo' hot level, and it was so hot that my lips started tingling! Solid chicken, pretty oily but sometimes you just gotta eat it. 4/5 maybe a bit too spicy for me and oily. Mac and Cheese: they used cavatappi noodles and pepper jack cheese, very unique and creamy! Nothing wrong but I didn't find myself gravitating towards it. 4/5 Dirty fries: these were good but presentation was honestly underwhelming. Looks like fries with melted cheese and some chicken nuggets thrown on top. Still good and crunchy. 4/5 Chocolate Creme pie: first bite was good but I think it was overhyped for me. The whipped cream was WAYYY too overwhelming and overpowering in flavor. After I ate the other pie and came back to this one, this tasted literally flavorless. Also the crust was salty...what??? 3/5 Pecan Pie: mmmmm! Favorite thing. Loved the pecans and the caramel filling flavor. Crust complemented well. I really enjoyed this and thought it was perfectly sweet. 4.5/5 read more

Yummmmmmmmmmmeeeehhhh!!! I mean... 2 adults & a kid ate on the Chicken Picnic family meal with enough leftovers to feed all of us a 2nd time! Server was punctual, covid guidelines seemed to be on point too. Nice glass separators between booths. Drinks (Paloma & Big Eddie Margarita) were delicious! Our "big family order" was on the table in about 10 minutes & the macaroni was surprisingly decadent & savory... I equate it to adult Mac n cheese... and my 5-year-old loved it, too! Collards & pinto were as I'd make them at home... well done, tender & full of flavor! And the apple crumble pie was quite flavorful and crumbly too. Beginning to end 10/10 experience! I'd definitely eat here again if just to try the other homemade pie dessert options and I wanna try cluckin hot but you can only get one spice level per order, even on big family packs. Not a reason to drop the score based on what we got and how good it all was! ...and the kid ate some "hot" tenders. Oh... also, GET THE COMEBACK SAUCE! It's like a horseradishy-spicy Russian style dressing, and it was most surprisingly delicious!!! read more

Yes to Tumble 22!!! Are you looking for amazing fried chicken with a range of choice for level of spice? Look no further. They have nailed it for crispy perfectly fried chicken. First of all their batter on the chicken is perfect to the crunch on the outside and after eating here on multiple occasions it always tastes like they use fresh oil to fry. The chicken sandwich is in my opinion the best chicken sandwich you'll ever eat. Topped with Coleslaw, pickles, Mayo- you get to pick your level of spice for the chicken. Its 100% what you need in your life if you are looking for the most delicious chicken sandwich ever. The mac and cheese is equally delicious, creamy, a little bit of spice. The greens are wonderfully tasty. The fries- dirty style are excellent. This is a perfect spot for a super filling meal. Best chicken I have had since I lost my mom. No one can fry chicken like a momma can to most of us, so if you are looking for the next best thing to rock your taste buds you should give them a try! This was my second visit and I took the time to go in and I'm glad I did. I enjoyed a glass of Austin's own Blackberry Meridian Hive meade with a 3 piece chicken, side of potato salad and beans. I got one piece original wimpy and two pieces hot. Both were outstanding, but hot was the winner. Perfect flavor and not really hot to where your mouth was in need of Lonestar 911 to save it (well Rob Lowe can save me any day but that's besides the point). About that . Two thumbs up, hats off and a handshake to the mastermind behind some good eats. Sides..well I'm not a fan of egg in potato salad but besides that, it was a little bland. Beans just average for me but absolutely still enjoyable. Overall I think they both need a little more south texas swag mixed in to elevate flavor. Mac n cheese is on the list to try next. I think I'm hitting the drive thru today for another savoring day of deliciousness so I'll be knowing soon enough. Last but not least...who can leave out the people who make it happen?? The wait staff was awesome, helpful, accomodating and very welcoming while serving through this pandemic. I can tell establishment stays clean and is well managed and organized. Keep up the great work! read more

Had heard a lot about Tumble 22 but hadn't had a chance to visit until yesterday. I was not disappointed, great crispy chicken sandwich. The Mac N Cheese is some of the best I've had. Coleslaw was ok, nothing crazy, but that's just my opinion. They have heat levels to their sauce, I got the hot (second lowest) and honestly forgot because I never tasted any heat. If you want something spicy maybe go up a level. Definitely get a buttermilk pie before you leave! read more

Just went through and attempted to order based off the menu posted here on yelp. The L.G chicken sandwich is supposed to be 2/7.50. Order totals $22+ for two sandwiches and one fry - nothing else. As we attempt to clarify, we are told they don't sell the LG sandwich at the Cedar Park location. Well, okay then you might consider removing that incorrect menu/item from your yelp photos, please. I was trying to make things quick and simple. I won't hesitate to pay high dollar for quality food and service, but today I wasn't feeling a $9 chicken sandwich. Two stars for the polite service, regardless. The ladies outside were very nice about it all. read more

Great place for fried chicken! Texture and taste were unbelievably delicious. Close to Costco for quick grocery run

Holy smokes. The chicken here is FIRE! Different spice levels are available to you, and the plain is also delicious if you are sensitive to spice. Now that we live in CA, whenever I see fried chicken, I instantly long for Tumble 22. If you need chicken in a hurry, DO NOT go to canes or other fast food places. Disgusting. Trust me. Go to one of the Tumble 22 locations and let yourself in on some love. Nuggets, Strips, and Sandwich are all so incredible. There have been times the nuggets didn't even last the 10 minutes it took for me to get home. Oh, and the fries! So so good. Let's just say the crew at Tumble 22 knows what they are doing, and I will keep manifesting that they take their glorious business national! read more

As a new business in Cedar Park I wanted to give this place a try, especially since it's been packed every time I've driven by. Drive thru line took about 30 minutes, but the staff would come check and make sure you weren't waiting in the wrong line. Once ordering the employee taking orders was extremely friendly, and helpful. I ordered 12 piece tender bites & side of fries to share with my sister. I also ordered a vanilla cream soda. I read a previous review about the small cups, but wow they weren't kidding. Very flimsy, the lid popped off in the car many times. My total was about $18 +$4 tip. Pretty pricy if you ask me. This won't be my weekly choice due to price but the occasional pick me up. Chicken - Hot : Quality chicken, great breading and super flavorful. I love spicy and feel the hot was pretty mild, my sister has a weak mouth and said the "hot" was perfect level of heat. We started with "hot" on our first try and I will be going up the next visit. Great starting point for their heat gauge. Fries- They are similar to the Freddy's fries, thin, crispy, and have a great seasoning. My only advice would be to get better Togo cup options, and also offer dill pickles. Make no mistake, this was a great chicken option in Cedar Park! I left a detailed review because as a new business when people are trying to choose if it is worth it I personally had many questions. Hoping this helps others looking to try something new, and local. read more
