My…read moreissue is with a fitting room policy that makes absolutely no sense from a customer's perspective. I walked into the fitting room area with three shirts. The employee counted them which is completely reasonable. Then I was told I could not enter because they were not on hangers. I explained that I picked them up from the sales floor without hangers and asked for three hangers. They gave them to me but then told me I still had to place every shirt back onto the rack outside the fitting room before I could go in. So I had to hang the shirts on the rack outside the dressing room just so I could walk inside and immediately remove them again. There was no purpose to it other than creating extra work and slowing the process down. As I was leaving I watched another customer get stopped because she had not rehung her clothing before exiting. Customers are now expected to do work that fitting room attendants have always handled. Retail stores are competing with online shopping where convenience is everything. Policies like this make the in store experience slower more frustrating and less enjoyable. I hope someone at the corporate level reevaluates whether this policy is actually helping anyone because from a customer's perspective it only creates unnecessary inconvenience.

But it seems they have the same kind of deal as Macy's backstage! They also carry plenty of 13 size men's sneakers and dress shoes which sold me. Got a great pair of under armor sneakers. I love that convenience, and the employees were friendly. Definitely thinking of doing a real shop there soon for sneakers even, I like the deals and the fact Nordstrom understands average people are not going to pay the regular prices they were charging. Good stuff!

I bring along charcuterie and fruit trays to family gatherings that are square shaped instead of rectangular and they haven't fit in my current cooler. I happened to find a cooler that fit my criteria on the Target app! The price was less than any I could find on Amazon. I have documented my experience today from ordering and then picking up my Igloo 60 quart cooler on wheels at Target. I added the cooler to my cart and it was not available for pickup at my closest Target location. It is great that they list where your item is in stock and how many miles away it is. Once I checked out, it said it could take up to two hours before my order would be ready. Before I knew it, I received an email letting me know my order was ready. It asked that I let Target know when I was headed to the store so they would be ready for me when I got there. Then click on the "I'm Here" button. Enter your parking spot number and a brief description of your vehicle type & color. Then you are given a 4 digit code to show the Target associate bringing out your order. Everything was easy peasy and the young man bringing orders out to the cars in 100 degree heat was doing a wonderful job. I would certainly be a return customer. Service was right on target! pardon the pun! I was impressed with my brief look inside the store. The store is well lit and seems so light and airy. The ceilings look really high and the store is clean and welcoming.

The Summer I Turned Into a Homegoods Shopper…read more I've never been into a Homegoods in my life but recently became very intrigued. I was out for a walk and decided to stop in. I found some cute items for Fall (Football platters for Game Day snackies, Fall candles, cute Halloween decor and a cozy blanket that's really helped make my sofa feel a bit more homey). I came back a week later to purchase a couple of Fall candles to gift to my baristas because they are the sweetest. I wanted a thoughtful little surprise for them. They know I've been struggling with this "mild" Texas summer and can't wait until Fall. I thought the candles would be a nice little gesture for them being little beacons of light during my weekdays. This is a great store to pick up items for the house at reasonable prices or quick little gifts for someone. I'll definitely be returning to keep a pulse on what types of things I find. I'm big into seasonal items and have a feeling they'll always have a little something cute to add a touch here and there. .

At the end of what ended up being an 18 hour day, I found myself returning the TJ Max suitcase. But, as I showed the suitcase to the woman at checkout at Marshall's she informed me that I was at the wrong store, the tag on the case said TJ Max. We laughed, and I said "Oh no, where is the closest TJ Max?" Well it was 20 min away. I must have looked like I deflated into the floor. Then as I walked out Sadie called to me, "Sir, I can help you." I'm like, what do you mean?, this is Marshall's. Then she informed me that Marshall's and TJ Max are owned by the same parent company and that she knew how to do the return. What a random act of kindness, I was so grateful for that exceptional customer experience. A super special thanks to Sadie for letting me get home to see my kids and have some dinner instead of sending me on a trek to find the closest TJ Max. Thank you so much!

Super nice, normal and friendly staff who will do everything possible to ensure you have an ultimate experience. (No snobs on staff.) Today I drove 20 minutes from HP to go to this store specifically. (The Downtown and Northpark location are no where close in giving a great experience! Those employees are aloof, or on busy days - frazzled and can barely deal with 2 customers at the same time.) I was greated by a nice lady as I walked in who answered 2 questions I had. A few minutes later I passed her again and she offered to alert the cologne staff I was headed that way. Awesome VIP service to a unknown customer! (Nafise - you are fabulous!) At the cologne area, Geraldyne took 45 minutes to help me evaluate Tom Ford colognes. It was so fun - and there was a vendor rep who joined us and helped. I had a blast!!! So, they gave me 3 sample tubes of the Tom Fords I likes most. But then they pulled out 14 other samples of high end men's colognes!! They even included the #1 winner of the best cologne in the world too (it won the world wide FIFI cologne competition). Then I got to chat for 30 minutes with Nafise on my way out. Turns out she is on the management team and awesome to know. Personally, I've not had such a great Neimans experience in decades. I'll NEVER go to Northpark or Downtown again.
