I hadn't been to this location and wanted to check it out. The parking lot was pretty packed. It just seemed a little messy and to not have quite the selection as other stores I've been to. It seemed to have carts of items that were going to be stocked but instead it made shopping difficult to get through the aisles. I was looking to see if they had any Angel jeans since they are my absolute favorite, so I asked a young girl working there. She looked at me like I had 2 heads and said I don't know, it's only my second day! Well, you could have taken some initiative and gone to ask someone that might know. Normally I can walk into a TJ Maxx and find everything I want but visiting two different locations in two different cities I still found nothing. All the shoes were plain and all looked the same but different sizes. There wasn't any types of shoes heels, nor flats that stood out uniquely to me. Not sure what's going on but I should've went to Plato's Closet or even Goodwill. I'll have to go back making online purchases like my daughter recommended me to do versus the driving all over Texas. read more

Just a very shoddy run place. The women's restroom was sealed off and the men's restroom reeked. It looked like nobody took any time to keep this place clean. Almost threw up being forced to use the restroom with the only "toilet paper" being those brown rolled up towels that was soaked on the floor. sold a broken product to me and didn't realize until I got home. the cashier didn't even see it. when I came back to return it was completely still in the packaging. I was told they didn't know what transpired between the time I bought and returned it. essentially calling me a liar. did not refund or take the return and threw it away in the trash can outside. ridiculous. start checking your products before you buy them because they clearly don't. I love going to this T J MAXX because 1) closest to me and 2) fantastic staff! The employees are always greeting me and working hard at their part. Although, some selection at this particular TJ MAXX is smaller than other locations, it is very convenient to quickly stop by for things you need or are looking for. It is across from another store that also has TJ acronym LOL; so, definitely need to stop by here when you are stopping by there. Back to TJ MAXX, you can find lots of great clothing and beauty selections are low price than the brand websites or other competitive markets. A lot of candles and other products are marked down each day. During the markdowns, the selection is limited; so, that's a downside for me. read more

I found this location to be a bit unorganized. Don't get me wrong, it's not like there was stuff all over the floor or anything like that, no no what I'm referring too is that the sizes were not where they should of been. Making my visit longer than it needed to bc of the wrong items being placed on the wrong size. I do like that they have been carrying a more versatile selection on face masks. The purses are nice and fairly priced. But for clothes, I would not come back to this location. read more

Store management is awesome. Store manager was on the floor working and interacting with customers. Store is clean, organized, and well run. Loved that they had carts in the middle of the store because I forgot to grab one at the front when I first walked in. Customer service was fabulous. You can tell employees are well trained. I contemplated writing a review about this certain TJ Maxx because I didn't want everyone to know about my hidden secret getaway that is filled with MANY hidden treasures and will suck you in. I always thought TJ Maxx was a hit or miss(most of the time miss) until I went to this particular location. They have everything from Michael Kors, Dooney & Bourke, Fossil, Guess, Lucky and everything from high to low brands at this store. You have to dig for it, and you will find something. I think their prices are reasonable, and it's the store I tend to go to if I want to find good stuff for cheaper. I love their home decor section, and I love the variety of stuff they have here. I have a friend that raves about TJ Maxx, how awesome it is, how she always finds good crap for cheap. I also see the commercials on tv where it looks like "their" buyers get legit looking goods for the store. Well, maybe I'm blind. I never see good stuff here. First of all, the store is a mess. I went to this TJ Maxx this weekend looking for a jacket, black candle, and tea kettle. I was looking for either a jean jacket or a black jacket with a hood. I had purchased a black candle at the TJ Maxx in Irving, so I thought that maybe I could find one here. This is a decent TJ Maxx, but it doesn't have to selection that I find if I go to the TJ Maxx in Frisco, Plano or Irving. I didn't find the black candle. I also did find the black jacket but did find a jean jacket. The tea kettles that they had were all more than I want to pay. I will go to another TJ Maxx to look for the black candle and more selection of tea kettles. read more

There is a whole grouping of stores like this one that make me picture people fighting over garments on the day after xmas... this one didn't impress me at all. Now I should disclose that I hate shopping in general... but this store didn't have much that appealed to me at all. Racks seem message and mixed up and the luggage section (which I came for) was SERIOUSLY lacking in choices. I dreaded going in here because the idea of a mess of clothing and having to dig through items stresses me out. My boyfriend forced me to go in here because he was on a mission to find tall glasses because ours are apparently too small. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in! No clothes on the floor, no piles and things were actually organized by category on shelves and racks! I was honestly excited to walk up and down isles! This place can be dangerous! This TJM has some nice things. It may be because its on Preston but I'm not complaining. The only time I ever see staff is at the register. So if you need assistance, good luck. TJM is a place you can get lost for hours looking at ransom stuff you do/don't need. You can find some good deals and somethings you can get elsewhere. Overall, brand name, good quality items are sold here. Usually you can find me in housewares. It's a mess back there but I like digging. Kinda fun. read more

I found a beautiful dress and the cashier, Lauren, was phenomenal, however, the manager on duty, Judith, was rude and dismissive! The dress that I loved was the last one but had a stain on the shoulder. I mentioned it to Lauren when I got to the front and she said she would ask her manager--Judith--if there was anything she could do for me. Judith didn't even come to speak to me and waved Lauren off saying that she doesn't give discounts for stains because I can just wash the dress. As if a quick wash will get this set in stain out of my WHITE dress. I was Irritated but I bought the dress and tried to wash it and this stain is NOT lifting. I'm extremely upset and Judith didn't even try to hear my concerns. The ONLY reason I'm giving this store 2 stars is because Lauren was exceptional. Went to scoop up some house decor items, ended buying socks, shoes, jewelry and a makeup brush too! Went to check out and saw what looked like a line at Disney World in the dead of summer. After about 5 minutes of waiting, a nice associate started walking up and down the line offering complementary pop and water for the wait. I had previously determined this TJ Maxx has the best selection of designer purses available out of any I've been to. I was having a difficult time finding a new purse to suit me, so I headed here. There were of course, lots of purses, but to me it looked like there were less designer names this time around. I did appreciate that the more expensive purses had a lock with an extension type cord so you could actually pull them out and look at them. I did have to ask an associate to unlock one to look at it in the mirror, but he was already in the purse section re-organizing so it was convenient. Alas, I left without a new purse which was pretty disappointing. I probably won't be back for a while given the current purse selection. read more

I'm a pretty big fan of TJMaxx. This location is pretty great, but if you can make it up to Frisco, that store has more to offer. This location is close for me, so I frequent it regularly. They carry several brand names. One of my favorite things to buy here are Kathy Van Zeeland purses, they cost half as much as they do at Macy's. If you're into high-end brands, there is a special section of the store with boutique buys. There is a beauty department where you can purchase everything from shampoo to face cream, a great shoe department, and I always find something in the home goods aisle. If you've been searching for the perfect something, you should check out TJ's. read more
