As always, I've had another 5 star experience at Nordstroms! As a long time customer at Nordstroms since 1996, I've shopped almost exclusively at Nordstroms-- first in the Chicago area and continuing to Dallas 3 years ago! Let me tell you, I haven't been disappointed in the level of quality service and care in all Nordstrom stores I've shopped in, but for now I must give a shout out to Brenna who is a manager in Bazille, the 3rd floor restaurant. Brenna has a sixth sense about her and can feel when someone is in need of assistance. The other day I was having lunch after being home and hospital bound for 3 months. To say I was anxious is an understatement! Her familiar face made me feel like everything would be okay. After having a most delicious lunch, I was ready to leave.... And who do you think was right beside me? Brenna was there walking me to my car, helping to get my walker folded, and giving me a "you'll be just fine hug"! Let me say that the bonus to my story is not just the excellent shopping I have available with every Nordy's experience, I have made a new friend! As a "newbie" here, I'm back in my comfort zone!! I came here in search of boots, which I knew might be a lost cause because it's already March and boots are being phased out of stores to make room for Spring and Summer items. They had a few sales racks but nothing in my size. Nordstrom is always a beautiful department store and I appreciate how the sales reps are helpful and available without breathing down your necks you really are never bothered. While I was there the gentleman offered to measure my foot because I mentioned that my size seems to go up an down all the time ever since Covid. I assumed it was because I was barefoot a lot more due to being home more. He said that could be it, but that shoe makers are starting to come up with their own sizing (like vanity sizes in women's clothing). He did he often wears a different size depending on the shoe maker. That was a nice tip to keep in mind. read more

I went in today prepared to purchase fragrance for myself and came out withore than just a product. Today I had intentions on purchasing from a major fragrance house Maison Francis Kurkdijan . I was greeted by an amazing fragrance customer service representative Shanda. I've titled her my"Fragrance Fairy God Mother." I knew coming in I wanted 724. But she introduced me to a couple of other fragrances just to try something out of the norm. I'm beyond grateful she did. Almost everything I smelled was delicious with the exception of 2 fragrances , yet again everything will not be for everyone. Customer service was taken to a whole new level, with all thanks to Bird, who helped me in Ladies Contemporary. I told her what I was looking for, and Bird found exactly the fit and style of denim I had been looking for. So great not to have to spend a lot of time shopping for the "right fit," and Bird selected three great options. I purchased one pair, and Bird ordered the other for home delivery. Bird knows not only how to guide a customer, she is also so knowledgeable about the lines in this department. "Thank you, thank you," Bird. What a great, easy experience, having a truly helpful associate! It is employees like that make Nordstrom my first choice when shopping. The sales ladies up there know me because I visit often. I love their bralette collection and last time insisted I look at the pants and tops. I'm glad I agreed! I got a black pair of high waisted jeans with a cute belt and a powder blue scoop neck top. I said, I would think a white top would go better, she said, "But look at this!" and showed me a perfectly matching powder blue purse to match my top. I fell in love with the outfit immediately. Then she asked, Still thinking white?" I said yes and she me a size 12 slim Jean that fit perfectly and looked adorable with my white scoop neck. Since then I've seen that my straps show from time-to time but doesn't everyone's? I do not care. I am an "A"cup and have every right to wear a bra as any other woman. I never leave Yelp reviews but the last few times at Nordstrom have been disappointing. Aggressive older lady in the kids' section who kept pushing clothes at my daughter and wouldn't leave us alone after we repeatedly said thanks and walked away from her. It was like she wouldn't leave us alone until I bought all the things. Today I had a weird interaction with someone in the women's section. She seemed to have a really negative attitude as soon as I approached the counter to pay. Laughed in a derogatory tone when I said I couldn't remember the name of the person helping me, had an overall disrespectful disposition, and quite literally threw my purchase at me. Oh, she also left the security tag on my purchase. I only found out when leaving the mall, and because of the way she talked to me I feel as though it was intentional. Nordie's used to be known for excellent customer service. But I don't think so anymore. I'd rather shop online or drive to the Galleria than deal with NP employees. read more

Shoe Dept: John helped us yesterday & went above & beyond searching the other floor to get a shoe model so my daughter could take her shoes home! Then had all the patience in the world as she changed her mind because she fell in love with a different pair while he was on the shoe hunt! Then we found a an amazing treasure on clearance as we were checking out & he ran & got those! All while providing us tips on how to care for our shoes & what shades to avoid! His attention, patience & customer service was everything we needed & his AMAZING attitude as he provided it all was something rarely seen these days! Update 4/20/24 I went in to see about my online order and noticed that they listened to my concerns. The store looked totally different. It was organized and clean. Even the staff was more attentive and professional. This is how I remembered it. I do wish there were more plus sizes 14+ sizes in the store. I usually have to order and come in to pick up so that I can try it on and see how it looks. I love the style, quality, and labels but I hate the inconvenience of buying an outfit first before I know how it feels or fits. I am a person that likes to touch the fabrics. Extremely grateful for the safety precautions, clean layout, and kind customer service at the Nordstrom's at NP. I needed to get some measurements taken for a dress I'm ordering and Nordstrom's was the only place I called to let me know they were gladly taking walk-ins. The in-house tailor, I believe her name was Ramona, was so sweet and quickly took my measurements with no problems. I even tried handing her a tip but she insisted it was her pleasure! So odd that most alterations places I called in the area were quick to say no when I asked if they could take my measurements. Thank you Nordstrom's for the professionalism and efficiency! I shop at Nordstrom for the free alterations. Everytime I take something to alterations, they always tell me they can't do it. The simplest sewing requirement and they tell me they can't do it. I'm thinking what can you do? Because you guys always seems so busy but can't do anything. I took a dress to be alter into a skirt, minoosh was the alteration specialist and she let my dress sit for two weeks. I came by to pick it up today and it was still in a dress. Only purchase what Nordstrom has in-store do not place an order for an out of stock or online only item. In the last few years Nordstrom has moved from UPS to shipping via several less than reputable carriers. When you complain, their solution is for you to ship to store and go through the inconvenience of picking up your order in store. It can 30-45 minutes to pick up an order at the store, not to mention drive time to/from store. Nordstrom's renowned customer service is clearly no more. read more

Enthusiastic and helpful is the staff. Lovely to be treated nicely. Yet, not so in their shoe department. Nonchalant and unknowledgeable of the fit is their recent sales staff. Associate Trenton (BP/Upper level) went above and beyond for me today. I was having issues with my card due to restrictions due to me being a victim of identity theft and fraud so I wasn't able to complete my transaction. Trenton was understanding, calm, pleasant, and accommodating. I returned to the store a few hours later and he was even more welcoming and understanding. I still encountered some issues but he never wavered and was so pleasant. You need more people like him in retail and customer facing environments. It made all the difference due to me already in a terrible situation. Please let him know that he has a forever customer with me. read more

I would stay away from online ordering. We ordered a pair of car seats that were never delivered and still having issues with my credit card company because Nordstrom didn't deliver to correct address so I'm out the cost, still disputing it and having to deal with it. Alterations were ridiculous; took a week to have $150 dress altered which cost $40 and had to have it redone twice and still not right.

I have been here several times and most of the time it is because I am buying a pair of salon shoes. I am never disappointed by the service and attentiveness to my shoe designer needs. However, sometime last year over the summer I did feel that my needs were not well taken care off (just one star off for that one occurrence). One time is somewhat okay, but this is my go to place for my salon shoe brands. It still won't stop me from getting my shoes in this particular location. Today, I decided to stop by to try on some Christian Louboutin pumps. I thought I would walk away with nothing, nope! I ended up ordering what I tried on. Needless to say, I am one happy customer. Alex helped me out and was fabulous. I was so surprised with his knowledge about the shoes and the brand itself, Christian Louboutin. I have a Nordstrom card. I kind of exclusively buy my clothes (and sheets and gifts and handbags and shoes and jewelry and phone chargers) from Nordstrom. This Nordstrom is pretty impressive solely because it has a Nordstrom SPA! What!!? In addition to all the shopping (from clothes, shoes, makeup, jewelry, men's, athletic wear, handbags, baby stuff to home decor, Bose earphones, lingerie), you can take a rest at the Nordstrom spa and get a massage or facial or mani/pedi. You don't even have to venture into NorthPark! It's a cool mall though! read more

She saw me shopping did not greet me. I gathered several items to try on.I had to go up to her and disturb her from her social media on her phone to get a dressing room. She opened up the door and didn't say a word to me! I came out of the dressing room again nose down in her phone, then went down to first floor to look at sunglasses finally picked out a pair and again nobody could be bothered to help me so I left without purchasing anything! Just moved to Dallas and this is my favorite Nordstrom in the area by far. I am a little biased because I decided to book a (free) personal shopping experience and had a blast! If Leila is available, I highly recommend her. Compared to the recent experience I had at Nieman Marcus, I was very impressed by the staff at this location. Still wish they carried a few more shoe options in my size (I unfortunately have very small feet) but otherwise this store is great! read more

Jeff in the suit dept deserves a grand shout out for his superior commitment to customer service. He was helpful and very welcoming. I asked him to fit me for something that I could attend a funeral in and then a wedding a month later. Certainly up to the task he presented me with a plethora of charming options. Didn't go for the blazer but opted for a pair of pants and a button down that he's getting pressed for me. Inquired about what color shoes and he was confident in brown so I perused the shoes and he didn't bother, loom, hover and of those qualities we and consumers find distasteful. I ultimately returned the jeans I had driven all the way from Fort Worth to have cut and left. Everything you expect a Nordstrom to be, and then some. Maybe it's because I'm not from Dallas, but everyone was uber nice! Every department I strolled through stopped to say hi and dote on my little guy. I already love Nordstrom, but the friendly service was icing on the cake. The children's department was a great size, with plenty of space to navigate a stroller. They also carry Honest Co diapers - a major plus for me! The women's lounge offered a space with comfy chairs where I could nurse my little one and a dedicated changing space to get him all clean. Very child friendly! They also offer a spa/salon on the top floor. Where else can you get your nails done, have a 5 star lunch AND have your newly purchased jeans hemmed all on your lunch break?! I was in Nordstrom at NORTHPARK center this past Saturday and purchased three black sweaters. I requested my invoice be emailed to me. When I got home and looked at my email invoice, I realized I had been charged for a $300 dress that I did not purchase. I have called them three times in two days and they have either 1) assured me that someone would call me back or 2) not answered my call! I just want someone to call me back so we can resolve the issue. I can assure you if I charged one of my clients $300 for a service they did not receive, I would attend to the situation immediately! I came with my mom and best friend to look at wedding dresses at the sample sale Sunday at 5pm, and was told the staff could not help me in the room (understandable with Covid), so I didn't blink an eye. What I didn't appreciate is the lack of any form of attention or aid. Another bride had an entourage and the sales lady was occupied with her, pulling dresses for her, standing with her. When I was looking through dresses another lady walked up, and the sales lady asked how she was doing, what style she wants, etc. To only be told Hi, we can't help, is so sad. I was looking for my wedding dress. Nordstrom, will never be getting my business. As we walked out, the sales lady said, "Thank you!". I'm still trying to understand why she even bothered. read more

This is specifically about the shoe department at NorthPark. I have shopped there for 30 years. The store used to employ seasoned shoe salespersons who were know for professionalism. I walked in during the post Xmas holiday week. Maybe the good people were on vacation, but I had two young male associates who tried to help me that were so pushy. I told the associate I was only looking. In fact they did not have the color or material I wanted so I was only trying for size. So young male gets the shoe, and doesn't even help me with it but wanders off. Then he comes back and asks if I want it to which I said no thank you and I really couldn't afford it right now ($265!). Young male went into this weird used car low class salesman spiel about why couldn't I use a credit card? Seriously? Duh, you don't put more stuff on your credit card. And regardless as a senior three times his age, I darn well know what I can afford. I would have said something but I kind of felt bad for him he was so clueless. Regardless, if he continues to do that with this class of customers, he won't be there long. Nordstrom is not what it used to be. read more

Who doesn't love Nordstrom? Their amazing return policy got people coming back. Not to mention they always have a good sales. The customer service also good most of the time and not all. They do have some not as friendly employees but hey it's hard to find all good people. No one is Chick-a-fil. I love shopping online here the most that I downloaded the app. Since I don't get to try the items until they arrived, half of the time it doesn't work out so I'd have to return it at the store. I love how they have a designated area for just returns so it speeds up the process and I don't have to bother the sales people about it. read more
