Visited this location on 7/27 at 2:00pm. No one was at the register so I found an employee by the name of Madi who was stocking shelves. I asked her if there was someone who could check me out. Madi immediately got annoyed and said, "Yeah, they're at the front". I then advised her that they were not that is why I am asking. She then told me someone should be in the food aisle and to call their name (as if I knew their name). I finally found someone who was also annoyed that I took him away from stocking shelves. A younger gentleman with short dreadlocks came to help me. Madi said out loud, "I don't know why she came to get me from here when y'all were right here in front!" I didn't say anything back to her as I wasn't going to stoop to her ignorance, instead I just asked the gentleman what her name was so I could write this in hopes a manager above her would give her proper customer service training. In this day and age, she's lucky to have employment. Do better with hiring these type of people who don't like interacting with other people. read more

Two days in a row I go into this store. The gentleman greets me and welcomes me with a smile. The lady working the register doesn't even give me a hello. I say good morning. Nothing. I say have a nice day. Nothing. what happened to basic customer service? What about thank you for your business or please come back again. So disappointed that our culture has moved away from this. I really don't blame the associate but Dollar Tree should ensure that their team members are empowered to ensure the best possible customer experience and it starts with the right employee in the right position with fair pay and benefits. Their door flat out says service animals welcome on it. I go about my shopping go to the check out and the woman at the counter with a attitude says "for the future we don't allow animals" in a normal situation I would have just responded with she is a service animal. However the woman was very nasty from the first second she opened her mouth. I said that's fine in the future I won't bother to shop here then. She of course had a attitude about that as well. So I said in fact I won't bother to shop here now and walked away. Upon which she continued to go on. Not allowing pets is fine however when you are going to speak to a customer to do so as this woman did is unacceptable. Nor did she ever ask of the dog was or was not a service animal. Said dogs also weighs 3 pounds and was carried the entire time. Store front also does not have a policy on it regarding actual pets either read more

I love Dollar Tree. Great place to get helium balloons (seriously...compare them at a dollar to Party City!) and lots of other really great finds. I've found nice selections of Halloween candy and we always get party supplies from here. As far as the whole fear of getting to your car, I believe the poster was referring to the fact that the traffic here can be frightful; many times I've had to dart across because cars going to Kohls or Albertsons simply won't stop. I really can't think of a reason to complain, but i would say one thing, when you go to a dollar store keep your expectations in the same range :) Well, I wasn't much of a dollar tree shopper before but things have changed, it's my 3'rd visit in this store within a month! You can always find cool things in the store. I bought their baskets and bins for my pantry organization, i think a basket for $1 is a great deal. They also have so many glass jars, vases, office supplies..... Plus, i think this is the best place to get gift bags and wrapping papers :) :) read more

Literally in line , understand that it's a busy season but I accidentally picked up a space divider and the cashier Makayla snapped at me grabbed it back and stated " I need that !" I apologized look at the gentleman behind me who's arms were full ( hence - pls. place your things on the conveyor belt to assist with your long wait..) I proceeded to wait my turn but noticed the separation bar just sat in its same place so I finally turned around to the gentleman with his arms full and insisted he just set them down next to my 3 items and we can let her know which is which .... but literally at some point he just threw his items back on a rack & left stating " this is ridiculous " as I inches closer she lifted the bar separating my items from the customer in front of me ... and throwing it between my things and the customer behind me yet there sat the other bar NEVER ever being used and the poor gal behind me was smart enough to keep her things in a basket on the conveyor belt for Makayla to unpack .. Why waste my day posting this ?? Because I just need to ask AGAIN Makayla.. what purpose did that extra separator do thrown next to you? I realize it's Dollar Tree... so don't expect much but seriously.. next time I will skip saving a few bucks and the PURE lack of customer service... and go to Target read more

Location is ideal. It is right on US-75 (Central Expressway). parking is plenty! The best part of Dollar Tree is the balloon section - different kinds, all super cheap and can be filled immediately. Cant complain at all. Dollar Tree is great for the seasonal stuff - things like Halloween decorations, St Patty's green hats and posters...all for $1 and you need for a day. Another thing that gets overlooked at Dollar Tree is the travel items - toothpaste, shaving cream and other items that you need for your travel (all branded items!) and other grocery shops/pharmacies charge you much more! Its a must buy. This particular location serves the greater Mckinney / Allen area and is very convenient. Only thing that can be improved at this location are more cashier counters as there is always a long line. read more

I'm not sure why Christopher was in fear of his life leaving this place. It is in a decent neighborhood. Some of the Riff Raff from the nearby Apartments may have been hanging in the parking lot. The Albertson's next door used to have an armed guard patrolling the exits. Haven't seen the cop in a while. I was glad they had him there to stop the shoplifters. All the Dollar Tree stores have some really great values on SOME of the things they sell. Great bargains on perfume and colognes, candies, tools, teacher supplies, toiletries, combs, brushes, pooch items, cheap kitchen stuff for kids going off to College, party supplies, gift wrap, helium balloons, and many many more items. read more

Dollar tree is always awesome. You can get so many things in here for so much cheaper than other stores like walmart which is already cheap. I got all of my shower party supplies here for like 30 bucks! I know, its insane, but it happened. And this location is pretty decent, right next to tom thumb so if you need groceries its a one stop shop amigos! read more
