Brunch on Saturday was busy but service was good and so was the food. We ordered corned beef hash Bennie and banana waffle. Very chill vibe with easy parking.

Food is great! I enjoyed the chicken salad. They have live music often. Nice to sit outside and people watch. They have a lot of outside seating so bring your dog. They will get your dog water. Service was great! Would like to see more beer choices.

Went to high school in Solana Beach and can honestly say that T's has been consistently good for a long time. I like it better than Sunnyside down the street and feel it is a solid breakfast option in small, sleepy Solana Beach. They have a fairly small menu, but it is full of great options and a lot of breakfast classics. Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast dish so I loved seeing many different types of Benedict options on the menu. Parking is extremely easy and service is always fast. Our server today was especially polite and everything that we ordered came out quickly and was cooked to our order. For this most recent visit, I chose to order the Surf Side Crabcake Benedict and thought it was actually very good. I had a Crabcake Benedict the previous week and this version was much better. The coffee is also strong and the pricing is fair and it's honestly a great option on the beautiful 101. They have indoor and outdoor seating and I would just highly recommend to anyone searching for a great breakfast spot in Solana Beach.

T's Cafe is ok. Their food is pretty good, the service is just ok. I would go back and most certainly will. But I wouldn't bring out of town guests here. I wouldn't come here expecting a great experience. The Great - They have specials that are fun! (just make sure you look at the front, because a server isn't going to tell you about them.) The Good - Plentiful Coffee The Bad - Service is good enough, just not very friendly or attentive The Ugly - The restrooms are pretty gross. Not waste everywhere, but no one is cleaning the the baseboards, walls or floor I don't think. T's is a nice place to go if your in the area. Sit outside, enjoy the sites, expect decent food, but don't expect much more.

Friendly service, yummy food, ample amount of indoor/outdoor seating. We sat at the bar (there was a 10 minute wait for a table) which was perfect. The bartender/server Uzbek was attentive, helpful and friendly. We put in our orders fairly quick, but they did take a while to come out- id say 20-30 min. Both dishes were yummy, except for my biscuits - they felt overdone and hard, not that edible. The coffee was good and so was the OJ. *on a Sunday, they were pretty slow until about 10:30 - that's when we saw a line start to form :) Enjoy!

Was deciding between this and another place. Ended up going here, based on the menu. Arrived a little after opening. Similar to another review, I was standing at the host area for a few minutes. I think one gentleman was handling everything until I left when another server came in. I got seated in a booth. The sun initially was a little bothersome, as it was right in the eyes. But, it adjusted enough. I went with the T's Country Benny (country fried steak), which came on a biscuit and not an english m7ffin. This was excellent! The breading on the steak was crispy and flavored well. Tender, too. The biscuits were soft and did a great job at soaking up the egg yolk and gravy. The gravy had an excellent flavor, as well. I got a side of hashbrowns. These were your typical hashbrowns. Cooked perfectly. Coffee was OK, too. I was a satisfied diner.

Cute little cafe right by the beach and lots of outdoor and indoor seating. We only waited about 15 minutes to get seated outside (no wait for inside) and ordered a caramel iced coffee, OJ, and Bloody Mary to drink while we waited for the food to come out. Service was very sweet and all the food we saw coming out, especially the sandwiches and French toast, looked SO GOOD and also huge! I got their seasonal special carnitas benny which was packed full of flavor and my friend got a more traditional breakfast with the fluffiest pancakes. Prices were also not bad for a restaurant by the water. So happy to have found a great brunch spot next time I'm in Solana beach.

At T cafe .... Waiting patiently for food.

We each got to order a pot of tea, so we decided to order 5 different ones to try out more flavors together. The ones we picked were: -Jasmine orange oolong - Coconut milk green tea - Earl grey lavender - Vanilla cream -Strawberry rose champagne oolong tea My top two favorites were the jasmine orange oolong and the coconut milk green tea. The only flavor that none of us enjoyed was the strawberry rose champagne oolong tea, so when it came time for refills, we switched it to the rouge provence. For the food, there were four finger sandwiches: chicken breast, smoked salmon, cucumbers, and chopped spinach. We all liked the chicken breast one the most, and felt like the cucumbers and chopped spinach could have been combined into one sandwich for a more balanced flavor. For sweets, there was the seasonal scone, fruit tart, macaron, and donut. I loved the scone with the butter and fruit preserves, as well as the fruit tart. The service was polite, but a bit slow and we waited a while before our food arrived. There was only one person who was serving the entire afternoon tea area, so it's understandable that there's a longer wait. All in all, I would definitely come back for another afternoon tea experience!

Instead of treating customers with even basic courtesy, she was annoyed that anyone was there. A simple question was met with a nasty attitude, and the interaction left us feeling completely unwelcome. I saw her speak to other customers in the same manner, so it wasn't just us. Unfortunately, the coffee wasn't any better. It was poorly made, tasted burnt and bitter, and wasn't worth finishing. For a coffee shop, that's the one thing that should be done well. There are plenty of other local cafés where you'll be treated with respect and get a much better cup of coffee. Only draw is the bunnies, who I really hope Samantha treats with more care and kindness than she does her customers; I honestly am concerned for their wellbeing after experiencing how Samantha treats people.

We ordered the Triple Coconut and Banana Split and both were excellent. The Triple Coconut was smooth, creamy, and packed with coconut flavor without overpowering the espresso. The Banana Split was the more adventurous of the two, with banana cream foam and those dessert-inspired flavors somehow working surprisingly well with coffee. This Achilles Coffee is tucked smack dab in the middle of a health-centric mall surrounded by wellness centers, nutritional experts, and yoga studios. The decent sized parking lot is typically busy but has a good churn throughout the day. There's street parking too and the commuter rail nearby for those looking for a light walk. With seating outside on both the ground level and up on the roof, it's a perfect spot to soak in some sun, breathe in the ocean air, and have a sip and a bite in this quiet part of town. The menu here is comprehensive with coffee (espresso, pour overs, cold brew), teas, specialty drinks, as well as breakfast and light bites to pair with a good start to the morning. We primarily came for a coffee run but a few of our team members decided to visit for breakfast the following day and from what I've heard, they're solid with the food! I look forward to coming back to give their bites a try. In theme for Saint Patrick's Day, they had a few special drinks but I opted for a traditional flat white this time. They had milk options but as a traditionalist, I went with whole milk. The coffee had great flavor and balance. The richness was bold and rounded out after every sip. I was tempted to grab a couple bags on my way out but seeing they had free shipping for online orders over $40 (about two bags), I decided to save some luggage space and order some when I was back home. The staff were friendly and efficient. I was impressed how many of them they were able to fit behind the small work area but they were experienced and worked collectively as a team. The drinks were prepared quick and for those liking them hot, you will be pleased with the freshness of that first sip. Overall, Achilles Coffee is a perfect small batch roaster to visit while you're in San Diego to get a great cup of coffee, a breakfast to go with it, and some bags of single origin or blend to bring back home for your own brew. And if you're interested in trying them out before you visit or just looking to restock, consider checking out their website and order from there. They even have a sampler to try their in-season batches. I guess their only Achilles' heel is that there aren't more of them but with five spots all across San Diego county, at least a San Diegan (or visitor) can get a taste of the sweet nectar marketed under this Greek warrior's moniker.
