    Breakfast Burrito
    Thao V.

For such a small cafe it was surprising good. We had the French toast, breakfast burrito, chicken sausage sandwich and coconut coffee. They have 3 workers that were very kind and courteous. The fire place was nice and inviting. Overall it was a perfect small cafe at the best western.

This little cafe is located at the Best Western Premier Hotel. They serve breakfast and coffee, and early lunch, and dinner later after 5 PM. I came in for breakfast and had a breakfast burrito with ham, eggs, and some Pepper Jack Cheese that was in there somewhere. The breakfast burrito was okay. It could of been much better if they would not put more ham into it, or at the very least, chop it up and scramble it in with the eggs. There was just to much egg up front. Also, cheese was used quite sparingly. I could not even see it nor taste it. It should be melted through the burrito and visible to the naked eye. The flour tortilla needed to be warmed up better. I would recommend that they place it on the griddle to form a little crust on it. The fruit garnish was nice, and the drip coffee was good. Service was friendly, and if you are staying at the hotel, you receive a discount.

    Lox bagel sandwich

Located inside the Best Western in Del Mar. The cafe itself is super cute and small. There is seating outside which has a partial view of the ocean, which is very pretty. We only tried the breakfast items when we stayed at the Best Western. We got the veggie scramble with toast and the lox bagel sandwich along with a cappuccino. The lady serving was very sweet. The food itself was ok. The veggie scramble was a teeny bit dry and we would've liked some salt. The lox bagel sandwich was actually very good - cream cheese, onions, tomatoes, and salmon with capers is yum!! Cappuccino was interesting. Overall nice enough :)

Cafe Del Mar is a lovely little spot for breakfast and coffee. The food was excellent and the service was great. I'd highly recommend stopping in for a quick bite especially if you're staying at the hotel.

This was a super fun spot, especially if you're staying at the Hotel that is attached. The food was delicious, a little pricey but good.

It's the kind of place where you linger over coffee without feeling rushed. You order at a counter and they bring you your food at your table. The food is fairly standard café breakfast and lunch fare, but it is all done very well. I come here pretty often for weekend brunch and you can't go wrong with their breakfast sandwiches and scrambles! They give pretty generous portions without being heavy. The coffee drinks are all solid and service was friendly in that laid-back way. It can get pretty busy during weekend so be prepared for a long line to order. Because seating is all outside, be prepared in the winter since the shade can make it pretty cold!

That said, the service was great, the ambiance is really cool, and there is plenty of seating which made it a nice spot to hang out for a bit which is why I wanted to return. It's on a quiet side street and was really inviting. I came back again on a Saturday around 1pm, for lunch and it was a beautiful, busy afternoon. We managed to snag the last shaded table, which felt like a win. I ordered the Avocado BLT. It was really good overall. Simple, fresh ingredients, though I think it could have been even better with an extra flavorful spread. The pasta salad on the side was super fresh and honestly delicious. I also loved the tangerine juice. The prices are pretty high, but that's to be expected in a Del Mar. Big bonus points for the free iced tea by the water station. Such a nice touch. Overall a great neighborhood spot with a great vibe. Excited to come back and try more of the menu.

I really enjoyed the cinnamon roll made with croissant dough and to be honest, the pain eu chocolate wasn't the freshest I've had, but I still enjoyed it OK. I wouldn't order that again, but I would definitely get the cinnamon roll again. That was one of the best ones I've had. I loved that it was made from croissant dough, which made it lighter and more flaky than most cinnamon rolls. I have high standards for croissants as I've been to France many times. :) The view that I got to enjoy these watching while sitting outside, made it such a great experience. I balanced my sweets with a cold refreshing iced Americano, and I would like to come back to try the Nutella danish. The service was great. There was a sweet girl working that helped me and allowed me to take my time looking.

It has its own seating inside and outside and the outside seating has umbrellas just in case it gets a little too sunny. There is an abundance of parking on the street that's usually free up to two hours. I went on a Sunday where it wasn't really that busy so finding parking close by was pretty easy. I like this area because it's in between a lot of other small businesses and it's not right on the street. It's kind of tucked away a little bit. It has its own bathroom as well. We even saw a parrot whilst eating haha. I ordered the Italian grinder and my girlfriend ordered the turkey club. Both sandwiches were very tasty and make sure to get sauce with it because the sauce here is really good! Cons: due to the location, if it's busy parking will probably be slim. This is most likely due to it being close to the Del Mar fairgrounds. Verdict: If you want a quick bite to eat there or to go, this is the perfect place for you! Bored and brew is a staple in California and anybody who hasn't tried it should go now!

We each got to order a pot of tea, so we decided to order 5 different ones to try out more flavors together. The ones we picked were: -Jasmine orange oolong - Coconut milk green tea - Earl grey lavender - Vanilla cream -Strawberry rose champagne oolong tea My top two favorites were the jasmine orange oolong and the coconut milk green tea. The only flavor that none of us enjoyed was the strawberry rose champagne oolong tea, so when it came time for refills, we switched it to the rouge provence. For the food, there were four finger sandwiches: chicken breast, smoked salmon, cucumbers, and chopped spinach. We all liked the chicken breast one the most, and felt like the cucumbers and chopped spinach could have been combined into one sandwich for a more balanced flavor. For sweets, there was the seasonal scone, fruit tart, macaron, and donut. I loved the scone with the butter and fruit preserves, as well as the fruit tart. The service was polite, but a bit slow and we waited a while before our food arrived. There was only one person who was serving the entire afternoon tea area, so it's understandable that there's a longer wait. All in all, I would definitely come back for another afternoon tea experience!
