Counter seating faces the street where there's lots of fun people/creature watching--moms with strollers, joggers with dogs of all sizes, seagulls perched on rooftops calling to each other. Large umbrellas and a thick broad canopy over the patio provide plentiful shade while allowing the lovely breezes to pass through (we're only a few blocks from the ocean). You can absolutely taste the difference. The pastry I had was incredibly moist, flavorful, and fresh and not dry at all like you often find at coffee shops (like the Coop) The gentleman working the register was also fantastic. I wasn't familiar with all of the baked goods, and he took the time to walk me through the options and explain what everything was without making me feel rushed. That kind of customer service goes a long way. Between the fresh pastries, great atmosphere, and genuinely friendly staff, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back.

He said the corned beef hash was not super salty, as most are, and appreciated that. Next time I will ask for the gravy that came with my chicken fried steak to be put on the side, as it covered about half of my waffle and I prefer syrup to gravy on waffles, but all was delicious.
