Located on the 3rd floor of the plaza is this cute little coffee stand. They specialize in matchas and chai but they have a wide range of different drinks. They also had sweet and savory pastries as well. I love its location because of how peaceful it is up there. There is plenty of seating area outdoor. Parking is easy since you can park in their lot. They charge you after an hour I believe. I came here with one other person and we both got their strawberry field matcha. I got mine less sweet with oat milk. The drink originally isn't that sweet to begin with. I found their matcha to be strong but alright. Not the best quality but not bad. The strawberry foam on top was whatever. I would come back but to try their chai.

Grabbed a chai and a hot chocolate on Sunday 11/2! Brooke was friendly and had great energy! It's cute and the drinks are delicious. Definitely recommend grabbing something from Brooke!
Adorable coffee shop at the plaza. I really love this Del Mar plaza and Kini Koffee is my favorite place to grab a cappuccino and sit with a friend at one of those comfy sofas enjoying the open air. The views of the wonderful sea and also people watching Kini Koffee is a small kiosk but delivering great drinks and service. I like the colors. I like the style and I make sure I always stop by and tell my friends to also go there better than nearby chain coffee shops.
I visited Kini Koffee for the first time while spending time in Del Mar. Kini Koffee is located on the rooftop of The Plaza. Parking is available on the street or there's a parking structure that you have to pay for. Kini Koffee has a small menu but has all the common coffee drinks and a seasonal menu. I ordered from the seasonal menu and loved my drink. It was a great combination of espresso flavor and peppermint. The other seasonal drinks sounded great. There were a few breakfast items available and a few pastries. We had the chocolate muffin and although it was very good, I don't think I would pay $7.70 for it again. The employee was very friendly. I enjoyed our visit and would recommend Kini Koffee!
Amazon rooftop coffee near Monarch in the heart of Del Mar. This is situated as a little kiosk near the outside tables and chairs above this shopping center. Fun speciality coffees and delicious espresso! Staff is efficient and a beautiful unique atmosphere to enjoy some caffeine by the ocean.
Stopped by for some coffee in the afternoon a few months ago and was kind of disappointed. This is a cute little coffee stand located in a fancy plaza by the beach. The vibes are nice and so are the workers. Super cute and delicious sounding lattes. Prices are comparable to small coffee shops. I ordered the Sweet Dreams and it was basically just a watered down cold brew. The chocolate cold foam was flavorless and didn't add anything to the drink. Also I couldn't really taste any notes of toffee in the cold brew. The barista said that this was her favorite drink from here so I was surprised that I really didn't like it. 2/5 Overall, the vibes and workers here are nice but the coffee was a miss for me. If I'm ever in the area again, I probably wouldn't come back.

If you want the view you can park and bring your own coffee as many locals seemed to do. Lastly the workers were a bit rude when asked for napkins/rags to clean a spill. They offered their pink napkins and when I asked if sure it's a large they said yes then stated not to take the pink napkins.

My holiday inspired iced matcha drink was delectable. Vanilla added for some sweetness, the cranberry cold foam offered a little tartness, and fun red sprinkles just because. Festive, pretty, and delicious. The barista was a sweetheart and the best part is you get to enjoy it while staring out at the ocean. The menu offers a lot of delicious coffee and tea creations and they always have seasonal options as well. Located on the top level of the Del Mar Plaza. Parking is free for I believe the first hour or two if you park in their garage. Check your ticket as I can't remember exactly. If you need more time here there's free parking behind the plaza in a residential area but you'll need to walk up and down a steep hillside.

Such a cute little coffee kiosk on top of the Del Mar plaza. I love this plaza and location, it's beautiful outside and overlooks the ocean. I got the hazelnut chai tea latte and it was so yummy! Perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side here, but it's Del Mar so I get it. Came on a Saturday morning at 9:15AM and got out drinks pretty quick! read more

My favorite coffee cart in Del Mar. location is great (top of Del Mar Plaza) . There's open seating with a view of the water. Service is great and they have the best drinks! The seasonal menu items are always fun and taste delicious too. read more

Gave it another shot since I was in the area. Ordered another strawberry matcha and it was the nastiest matcha ever. Paid $10 to throw it away after 2 sips, even after stirring it. Extremely powdery and 0 sweetness. Sucks because I love the location read more

Saw this on social media and had to come! It's a cute rooftop coffee shack with delicious drinks and a beautiful ocean view. There was only one woman working so there was a wait to order, which I completely understand, and she was sweet and helped me decide what to order! I decided on the iced white mocha with strawberry cream cold foam and it was delicious! It was a perfect amount of sweet and the strawberry foam wasn't too sweet or overpowering and paired nicely with the smooth coffee. There's plenty of rooftop seating with an ocean view. The parking garage gives 1 hour of free parking. I would definitely come back! read more

Saw this place on social media and the strawberry matcha looked divine! I got the strawberry fields - a honey vanilla matcha with strawberry cream cold foam and wow it was DELICIOUS! The strawberry cold foam wasn't too sweet or overpowering the matcha. The one woman working was kind and there was a bit of a wait for the drinks which I completely understand. Plenty of rooftop seating with an ocean view. Free 1 hr parking in the garage. I would definitely make the drive and come back! read more

The coffee? Always on point. My go-to is the Sweet Dreams -- smooth, dreamy, sweet, and perfectly balanced. Their cold brew is another standout -- crisp, refreshing, and just what you want on a sunny SoCal morning. But what really makes Kini special is the team behind the counter. Every single person is kind, thoughtful, and genuinely present. Gemma brings such depth and positivity -- she's real, grounded, and always leaves you feeling uplifted. Brooke is warm, outgoing, and full of life -- always quick to connect and brighten your day. Milan is equally lovely -- sweet, calm, a fun conversationalist, and consistently attentive. They're all skilled, intentional, and bring such good energy to the space. Even the owner, Jewel, who I've had the pleasure of meeting, is just as lovely -- warm, welcoming, and clearly pouring so much heart into what she's built. Kini Koffee isn't just a coffee stop. This cute coffee shop is at the top floor! Came here to hangout outside with a beautiful view of the ocean. There's lots of tables available to sit at and in a beautiful day, it's perfect! The server was kind & attentive making our drinks in a timely fashion. There was not much food options, but did see mini bags of chips! Now for the drink: Chai strawberry short cake 6.5/10: the strawberry Portion was okay, i wish there was more strawberry in the chia. There were breadcrumbs that personally I was not a huge fan of & make it hard to drink. I did enjoy the flavor of the chai! They had few drinks listen on their menu & also had a mango matcha which sounded interesting! Overall cute spot to hangout outside & enjoy a refreshment read more

Gosh, I love this cute pop up coffee shop! The vibes, the rooftop shops, the coast, the coffee is just everything you can imagine! If you're in the Del Mar area & want to try out delicious coffee, check out Kini Coffee! Coffee: 10/10 -I ordered the Strawberry Fields Matcha & Golden Girls. To say they might just be the best on the menu is an understatement! Both were perfect on the amount of bitter/sweet. If you're not a matcha loving person, definitely explore their coffee menu as they have wonderful flavors and options! (I attached their recent menu options as of 4/8/2025) Service: 10/10 -My barista was named Julie & she was the sweetest soul!! She had a very awesome attitude and was no stranger to their menu. She was fairly quick with the service & overall had a very nice vibe to her. Shoutout to Julie!! She's wonderful! Coffee Shop Vibes: 10/10 -This is such a nice location for this pop up shop. Incredible decor on the rooftop and a killer view of the ocean! It was nice and peaceful when I went. Everything about this rooftop is beautiful and well put together! Good news! Kini Koffee opens at 9am! I came around 11:45am and misheard the lady and thought I came before opening time. I felt so bad! The prices for espresso based drinks and cold brews are between $7-8. She mentioned that cash is accepted as long as it's under a $20 bill / you have exact change. Hearing exact change got me a bit nervous because I left my coin pouch at home today! My small iced honey bun latte came out to be $7. That's about the same price that I would pay at BRCR for an iced honey b. The iced honey bun consists of a vanilla honey latte with a dash of cinnamon and a drizzle of honey. I like that they use crush ice in their drinks because it makes it more refreshing when you get little pieces of ice up your straw. The best way to describe this drink is: you're eating a churro and drinking espresso at the exact same time. It can get sweet when you're half way done with the drink, maybe grab a pastry somewhere to balance it. The woman working is really nice and service was fast. There's plenty of seating available and it's really nice because you get that beautiful ocean view. It's so serene. You can even walk down to Seagrove Park to enjoy your coffee. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by for some coffee, cold brew, açaí bowl, etc. read more

Super cute coffee shop with the super perfect location. I actually had no plans to visit any coffee shop the day I visited as I only planned to go to the bakery in the plaza. However, I saw this place and saw the photos and decided I had to try it! It's located in the plaza which has garage parking. It's free the first 30 min and then $5 every extra 30 min or portion of it! We ordered the strawberry fields and the zebra! Both were super good. They're really creative drinks that match the flavors appropriately! The presentation is also beautiful! I love the location as well as there's plenty of seating outside where you can overview the beach! Overall highly recommend! Service was super friendly as well! read more

Very tasty coffee, in a good location. Sure it's $6 for a latte and they don't have dedicated seating - you're competing with everyone else who wants to use the public seating on this gorgeous roof of the Plaza. It would be nice too to have some sweets. BUT the coffee was super tasty and the view is great. Glad to know this is here especially when Pacifica breeze is closed! read more

Cute little coffee shop with lots of seating outside and great views of the beach. Apparently they change their menu but I'm not sure how frequently. Service was quick even though they had a lot of orders. The cold brews were really good, but the flavors tasted similar. Strong chocolate flavor for both. read more
