Would have been better if they actually greeted me when I walked into the shop and was looking around. They wouldn't take my order or asked me what I wanted. The person behind the counter seemed like they didn't even want to talk to me. Such a shame because I really wanted to try their items. We ended up just walking out. Waste of time. I haven't been treated like that in a long time. Definitely do not recommend and would never come back.

A fantastic little bakery in Del Mar with the spirit of France in every breath. The pastries were buttery and delicious with a nice crisp texture and delicious flavorings. The staff were friendly and helpful. While a small space, it doesn't hold back on its French patisserie charm. Whether it's a buttery croissant, sweet macaron, savory coffee or some French delicacy, Paris En Rose has something for you.

Chocolate croissant was perfect. Also had the seasonal danish with whipped marscipone. Yahoo! amazing. Cute store. Neat and tidy and elegantly simple. Service was outstanding. Latte and cappuccino were good.

Small amount of chocolate inside the croissant.

I was in the center for lunch and decided to pick up a sweet treat before heading home. Small shop located on the top level of the center with a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. During my midweek visit it was already slim pickings. I gravitate towards anything chocolate and the only chocolate treat I saw. Was the chocolate croissant. It looked appetizing and pretty. I asked the employee how much chocolate the croissant had inside since I prefer a lot of chocolate. She mentioned 3 bars. I took a chance and made the purchase for $6. I toasted my croissant when I got home, took a bite, and was disappointed with the amount of chocolate on the inside. It was a bare sliver. I was bummed.

A colleague of mine has a big sweet tooth, so I promised her she had no idea what surprise I had in store: a Tour de France pastry experience. I knew exactly who to reach out to and I was lucky enough to meet the owner herself. She is such a down-to-earth soul, and when I asked her to surprise me with her favorite pastries for a custom preorder, she set aside time to make the whole experience truly special. I've been here a few times before, but the consistency continues to amaze me. The staff are knowledgeable about ingredients and policy, something so refreshing in a world where too many places sell frozen, pre-packed food. For this order, I needed pastries to impress a production team at a business meeting, and I just knew Paris en Rose would deliver exactly what I envisioned. The pastries themselves looked like they belonged on the set of Bridgerton, with stunning presentation, delicate colors, perfect textures, and flavors that felt like a dream. Everyone at the meeting was taking photos of the desserts before even tasting them. The joy they brought to the table was priceless. Even the pickup process was thoughtful. Parking at LAX is never easy, but an employee helped me park safely on the side since he knew I'd be in and out quickly. Inside, I noticed even more giftable items and details I hadn't before. At sunset, the store glows with the most feminine ambiance, down to the pointed-toe heeled shoe door handle and perfectly complementary décor. From the kind service to the artistry of the pastries, Paris en Rose gave me an experience of a lifetime. My vision came to life without me even having to explain it. There truly aren't enough words to capture how special this place is.

Matcha and raspberry croissants

Came there to get few pastries and of course some coffee. Me and my wife both opted for a pistachio iced lattes and they were good. Maybe a little bit too sweet for my taste but still good. For pastries we got matcha, raspberry, and raspberry rose croissants. Kids loved the matcha one. Filling amount was great. As for texture and taste we had slight differences of opinion. Wife loved it as it is, I felt like I'd prefer it to be a little less buttery but still enjoyed it. It is a bit of a walk to get to the storefront And parking could be a little easier.

Delicious pastries, cakes and beverages! Attached to a parking garage (first hour free). Located on the top floor of the building, plenty of seating on the same floor.

Delicious pastries that are also beautifully made. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The overall feel as you walk in is very inviting. Highly recommend! The drinks are very good as well.

This was my first visit to Paris En Rose, and I had heard great things about their pastries. I stopped by with my mother and daughter for a little treat. While they don't offer indoor seating, there are a couple of small tables out front, and a nearby patio in the shopping center provides additional seating. The shop appears to offer a variety of pastries, but when we arrived, the selection was quite limited. I ordered the pistachio croissant, which unfortunately was dry, and my mother felt the same about her pastry. We were hoping for a more impressive experience, but overall, we were a bit disappointed.

Stumbled upon this shop randomly when I was craving for some good croissant and matcha. Unfortunately, the croissants tasted terrible despite looking super gorgeous. Ordered: pistachio croissant, matcha spiral croissant, and matcha latte. Both croissants are very stale. Pistachio is pistachio cream inside but barely any of that nutty flavor. Matcha croissant has matcha cream inside but again the flavor is very weak. Matcha latte is good (ceremonial grade and you can customize however you want, extra charge for oat milk). The entire order is $25

It flaked beautifully and was buttery. I was surprised to hear it was $6.50 because it's the same price I paid for a specialty latte here. I would have expected a croissant (chocolate or plain) to be in the $4.25-$5.50/$5.75 range. I guess everything in Sky Deck is a little more expensive than what you'd expect-- maybe because of the cost they have to pay to rent the space. The workers were kind to give me space and time to check over the menu. Like I mentioned last time, the font is a bit small. It would be nice to have printed & laminated menus at the counter space as well for people. I think next time I come I would love to order a crêpe-- the sucre au citron caught my eye because it's a classic! I was surprised to see that they didn't offer salted caramel crêpe though. That would be so delicious as a "fall special" ... it would be great with banana or pear or even apple! They have a lot of other choices for pastries, desserts, and food! Since it's located in Sky Deck they have an abundance of seating available right in front of the shop as well as outside and down below near other businesses.

The next time we went was after Pilates and I asked my friend if she wanted to share it and she agreed this time! I was so excited to try it! The owner was very sweet she let us try samples of the new marshmallow ice cream that they are testing out. It was so good! I ordered the sumptuous special with frozen hot chocolate. She made it aesthetically pleasing. They asked how I wanted it and I said picture perfect! Watching her make it was so fun and jaw dropping. I was in such awe! The marshmallow alone was so amazing to watch! It was so good and made with such good ingredients. I did share a bit with my friend, but boy I had basically the whole thing to myself and it was perfect. The frozen hot chocolate was bittersweet too. So it was balanced with the cookie, marshmallow, and cream. The perfect amount of sweetness for me. It was pricey, but it was worth it! Well worth it to try it at least once! The most imporant thing in any cookie is the actual dough and theirs is always the perfect balance of buttery and sweet! I despise dry crumbly cookies and these never even come close. I'm glad my friend told me about this French Café. Merci mon amie! It's located in the Cedros…read moreDesign District which is the heart of Solana Beach. I decided to have brunch there but when I arrived everyone was watching a soccer game...rooting for the French Team. It was pleasant to see the owners, staff, and guests so into the game. It created a welcoming and fun atmosphere...making my French experience more authentic. Just be aware, that majority of the seating is outside with an overhead shade. I looove eating outdoors so the setting was perrrfect. When it was time to order, I went inside to place it at the counter. Not too long afterwards, my warm latte came out then my breakfast...I didn't have to wait at all. Everything was sooo yummy. C'est vraiment bon!! I can't wait to go back to try the other menu items. I highly recommend Madeleine to the Yelp Community :-)

(editing to add this is a French-owned and Black-owned business, in case folks are looking!)…read more I usually come here when I'm doing errands on Cedros - and I usually just want to get my français on and order a café crème and a croissant. But today I needed a little extra je ne sais quoi because my morning was annoying, so I decided to splurge on lunch and not just a pastry here. I asked Steve, the (très beau et gentille!) co-owner what the quiche of the day was. There were two: one with jambon (ham) and one with épinards et fromage de chèvre (spinach and goat cheese). When I hesitated, he told me that the spinach one was amazing. Even though it's $20 for a quiche plate, I decided to go for it. I thought I was going to get a sad little quiche slice for that amount and might regret it. But OMG, it was more than worth it! Already they have a lovely patio on this pretty street in this fancy design district. But it was also a HUGE and exceptionally savory rectangular slice, alongside a DELECTEABLE petite salade. I asked Steve what mustard they use in the vinaigrette, and he said plain old Dijon - but the proportions and the seasoning were EXCELLENT. So it was salad perfection, not heavily dressed at all, just delightful. The patio was full on a Friday with ladies who lunch - but did that include me, as a solo diner, since I am a lady who had lunch? I'm not sure, but you can feel comfortable here no matter what. And now I know Madeleine Cafe is much too good to just come for coffee and for ordering in French from Steve or his co-owner Emmanuel. I don't want to spend that much for lunch every day - but I'll be back!
