Seen 3/2026. Susie's Blueberry Cake

Very yummy donuts here! Huckleberry is our favorite. Tried their Susie Blueberry Cake (shape of a donut). Holy cow...It's darn good!! Great blueberry taste, and whole berries baked in. This might overtake our favorite Huckleberry on our ranking. Line starts on Left-side (look for sign). Choose your donuts with staff. Pay on Right-side. Service is quick. Small seating outside.

I like this location because I've personally never really had to wait! I think it's a cute little spot but not much seating besides outside or in the mall area a few steps away. As for the donuts themselves I do like but you have to like the cake style and dense because they have few fluffy style ones. Overall the best one is the og huckleberry and Saigon cinnamon crumb is a follow up.

I was in this shopping plaza and the name of the shop called out to me. I was surprised it was still open since it was closer to evening time. I do realize they serve coffee though. I have heard of these doughnuts before so I wanted to go inside and at least get 1 to try! I ended up getting 3. The flavors are pretty unique and each one sounded so delicious. These are not cheap donuts. 1. Maple Bacon- Raised doughnut topped with pure Vermont Maple Syrup glaze and crispy, all-natural bacon Donut itself was delicious. It had a crispier outside an softer in the middle. Glaze was delicious, bacon was ok. I tend to like less bacon in general as long as it's super crispy bacon. 4/5 2.Strawberry Buttermilk- Fruity, ripe strawberries folded into our buttermilk cake, dipped in our silky sweet & perfectly tart, house-made strawberry glaze! 5/5 3.Butter & Salt- Vanilla bean cake doughnut with brown butter glaze and fleur de sel. This was my favorite doughnut. So delicious. 5/5 This one I wanted to try but it was sold out: Crispy French Toast- Buttery brioche, dipped in a honey & whipped brown butter glaze, covered in crunchy caramelized corn flakes, filled with a sweet strawberry compote, and topped with a fresh whipped cream and strawberries. (sounds incredible and I don't even like French toast) They even have a savory one: Basil Egg Benedict-Our Malasada-style doughnut filled with poached egg, Benton's Country Ham, and a house made basil hollandaise sauce.(only until 11 am) I did not get any coffee this round. If I am in the neighborhood again, I will be stopping by. Service:5/5 Ambiance:4/5 Food: 5/5

My daughters and wife say they are the best they have ever had. The service was on point and friendly. Inside is just enough room to get your order and eat outside on a few tables that they have. They have an area inside to get a water.

We LOVE a sidecar doughnut as a little treat. Truly our favorite spot. Huckleberry and vanilla glaze is a must, and we always love the malasadas they come up with.

I stop here almost every other week! Their donuts are pretty fun, lots of different types of unique flavors and not many traditional ones. Their regular rotation includes mostly cake donuts as well. Those aren't my favorite so I usually stop on when they've got malasadas or special brioche options. Although pricey, they do have an app for points and coupons so it makes it worth it for the quality!

I love all the donuts here. They have a huge variety and rotate seasonal flavors. These truly aren't your ordinary donuts, they're high quality and extremely delicious! There hasn't been a flavor I didn't like. It's a small shop and there isn't normally a line so service is friendly and quick. The boxes they put them in are also fancy and presentable, so these make a perfect treat for any special occasion

Apple pie, banana nut, & matcha latte

Food, delicious! Really enjoyed the Banana Nut fresh from the fryer, ooey gooey soft center with regular chocolate chips inside while the outside is drizzled with white chocolate and walnuts. Apple pie was good too but I preferred the banana nut. Needless to say, I polished off BOTH, lol. Best was their ceremonial matcha latte. It's actually ceremonial grade! Definitely try this if you haven't already. I'm told it's even better with vanilla foam -can't wait to try that next time. Service is always nice but some are more helpful and welcoming than others. Inside is always clean and organized -and love that they carry Stevia as a sugar substitute. Bon appetit!

First timer!! Will definitely be back! The huckleberry doughnut is so freaking good! It's a very small shop, so it's not the type of place you sit and eat there, just go in, get your stuff, and get going. The display of donuts is so great, because you can see everything all at once. Sooooo dangerously good!

We've parked near this shop many times while shopping or eating at Del Mar Highlands Town Centre and noticed the steady stream of customers. Our daughter-in-law is a fan. So, we finally tried it. I understand that Sidecar makes its donuts on-site from scratch, and that there are fresh every donuts every hour. The donut display when you enter is impressive, and you can see donuts being made in the back of the shop. Ordering donuts for take-away is easy, and the service is terrific. There are patio tables in front of the shop, but we opted to take our goodies home. The donuts we enjoyed were an Apple Fritter (5/5 $7.19) and a Saigon Cinnamon Crumb (5/5 $5.95). Both were very large and shareable, but overpriced IMHO. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Basil Egg Benedict
Christine D.

The basil egg Benedict was a delicious savory treat. I was impressed at how well cooked the egg inside was and the basil forward sauce. I love a sweet doughnut, but I would absolutely get the basil egg Benedict again.

App order - fresh and still warm

We don't often use their mobile app to order (only to check what donuts are available that day). Today we used their mobile app to order donuts and it was a great experience. I'm usually nervous the donuts won't be freshly made but today proved me wrong . All the donuts were still slightly warm and packaged perfectly. Service was efficient and kind this afternoon as well . The soonest pickup option was 30min so it's not ideal if you need donuts asap. The experience has renewed my faith in the white chocolate banana donut as today's version was bomb . The white chocolate glaze was perfect and we loved the generous amount of toasted walnuts ! Kudos do whoever made this batch today . They have a fantastic Black Friday special until 1/2/26 (buy $25 gift card and get a free donut card ) so I've always gotten that for friends and family .

Included ratings of all the donuts, different colors are different people, my roommates all tried each

Went again for the raspberry malasada and a few others! Again, ordered online, but staff was very quick and friendly when I came to pick up. All the donuts have a higher quality to them than the typical pink box cheap donuts, normally I'd taste a lingering sugary flavor after eating donuts, but I don't get that with these. Festive celebration - heavy almond taste, cake like, sprinkles on the inside and icing on top is not super flavorful just sweet Saigon cinnamon crumb bites - huge compared to regular donut holes, but very good. The coating almost reminds me of the Costco churros but with more coating and denser, cake part inside was super good Butter and salt - tasted like a plain cake donut, wasn't super thrilled by it, but good Apple pie pan - very soft donut, the frosting on top was light but sweet, apple pieces inside were good and tasted like actual apple, not just the stuff you get from a can Cookies and creme - exactly what you would expect, chocolate donut with cookies and creme frosting Biscoff cookie butter - very good, the pieces of cookie on top were a nice touch and the frosting had actual cookie butter inside, the donut itself was almost gingerbread like Raspberry malasada - excellent but very tart! The filling was basically spilling out, if you like raspberry but not like the super sweet processed regular raspberry, you'll love this. I just wish there was a little more powdered sugar. Cinnamon roll - amazing, just like last time I got it, pecans on top add a nice texture and nuttiness, frosting has a hint of maple

Yes they have a one vegan option available daily. The flavor switches every 1st of the month.

When will you have the girls out flavors?

Where can I find nutritional information?

The FAQs on their site say they don't have any nutritional info on their products.

They're supposed to open tomorrow, the 16th! 😁

Any vegan donuts?

Hi! We DO have a vegan flavor now :) We are currently offering it once a week on Tuesdays (Vegan Tuesdays), but starting in June it will be offered every day. We'd love for you to come and give it a try!

FOR THE WIN!!! (4.75 stars)…read more I love donuts. And I tend to stick to basic classical donuts. And therefore I am late to the trend with the mochi donuts! This location is inside Bober Tea and Coffee. There is a glass casing with several flavors to choose from and they sell at $3 a piece. The one that stood out to me was the chocolate with sprinkles. Upon receiving it in a paper pocket bag, the icing was rubbing off on the bag. That immediately told me this is super fresh! I could already feel the softness of the donut. The little sectioned off ball looking segments of the donut are also a game changer when it comes to eating - easier to eat without making a mess! The texture was bouncy, soft, lightly chewy and a little stretchy... the texture was fun and I found myself wanting another afterwards. I do wish they had offer other flavors that don't sounds too sweet because the other flavors didn't really catch me. Until the next review...

The Chocolate Abuelita was definitely better and I liked the Mexican hot chocolate cream in the center. I would give this donut shop one more shot, just because of all the great things I've heard about it from people whose opinions I respect. Oh Nomad Donuts how I love you. This place is a local gem that offers craft donuts, breakfast…read moresandwiches, and fun rotating drinks. My favorite part of the start of a new month is checking their monthly drink and donut specials. This month nothing really called my name but they did have a weekend special that really appealed to me. I have had some of their bagel style sandwiches before and ohhhh goodness they are good. This time it was my favorite style of sandwich, a bahn mi. I had high hopes because of the picture they posted on their social media and just the level of creativity they usually bring. Considering it's North Park, I knew ordering online would be the best option and picking up. My estimated time was 15-20 minutes but it only took them under 10. I got an order ready notification before I even left the house. I got there and it was dead, maybe one other person in and out. There's a lot of seating inside and some outside on their patio. They also have different counters for ordering and pick up which helps speed things up. My experience with service was very transactional, nothing bad just nothing to really highlight. Let's talk about this bahn mi. It's promoted as marinated and charred pork shoulder, house made sweet aioli, nuoc cham compound butter, pickled carrot and daikon, mint, cilantro, and jalapeño on a locally sourced Paris baguette. First off, nuoc cham compound butter?? YES. That is the kind of creativity I love to see. I got my sandwich and the wrapper was pretty oily so the sandwich itself looked kind of glossy. The whole thing felt a little rushed, like everything was just thrown on. I will say I wasn't expecting a generous amount of meat but they delivered in that aspect. I first wanted to try the compound butter on its own and it had a slight nuoc cham flavor, but in the sandwich it didn't really stand out past all the bolder flavors. Now if you've seen my other reviews, the best part of a bahn mi to me is the pickled daikon and carrots. These might be the best I have ever had anywhere. They are exactly how I prefer them, sweet with a slight acidity and THICK CUT. The crunch on these... please let me buy a whole jar. The bread was alright, they mention they source it locally so it's not made in house, but mine leaned a little old and I could tell through the texture. The pork was marinated really well, I do wish some of the pieces were more charred because you could see where some of it didn't hit direct flame. This also came with a side of what tasted like a hoisin vinaigrette. I liked the creativity but felt like the sandwich didn't need it. It was way too acidic and strong and there's not much need for that sharp vinegar hit here. I paired my bahn mi with a miso caramel matcha latte. This was expensive, a 12oz for $8 is steep even for matcha. It was good but not amazing. It leans more sweet than matcha forward. The miso caramel actually surprised me though. At other cafes it usually comes off more like a salted caramel, but here it had more depth, slightly savory, and when mixed with the milk it came out really creamy and smooth. The matcha was a little grainy though. Overall I will definitely be back and will keep my eye out for more specials because that's where they really shine. And seriously, if they ever let me buy those pickled carrots and daikon by the jar, I'm there immediately.
