Parlor Donuts, located in North Park, serves some of the most amazing donuts in town! Parking absolutely sucks as there is only street parking on the busy streets of North Park! If in the area though...so worth the trouble of having to find parking to get to these delicious treats! Beautiful open, clean venue with amazing customer service! Donuts are pricey but, you are paying for Quality not Quantity at this location! Let me tell you...the Quality is Top Tier! We had the pleasure of tasting their Bourbon Caramel donut. Super soft, airy, not too sweet, and is Vegan/Gluten friendly to boot! Look at me eating healthy without even trying...LOL Now, I DON'T DO Vegan, gluten free, diet, fat free ANYTHING! LOL So for me to express how amazing this place speaks volume!

Parlor Donuts in North Park is a beacon of deliciousness in a neighborhood drowning in bougie doughnut saturation. While other spots chase symmetry and glossy photo ops, Parlor feels like a flavor laboratory where the only thing that matters is how good the bite is, not how pretty it looks on a feed. They are making doughnuts all day long which means the one you get is fresh with that perfect mix of crisp on the outside and soft and billowy on the inside. It is the kind of texture that makes you pause mid chew and reconsider your entire ranking of doughnut shops. I went for the raspberry pistachio and let me tell you it did not have the perfect doughnut shape o textbook contours. I could not care less. The flavors were on point. Bright raspberry. Nutty pistachio. A reimagined PB&J.. A dough that tasted like someone actually cared about it, nursed it and loved it like a fragile baby bird. It was messy and imperfect in the best way. Parlor Donuts is not here to impress your camera with the quintessential doughnut. They are here to impress your mouth with flavor and texture. I will be returning to work my way through more of their Willy Wonka style creations because any place that prioritizes flavor over vanity is a place worth my caloric excess. Five stars. Zero regrets. Zero interest in perfect circles.

Sandy Beach, Campfire, Strawberry Shortcake, Peanut Butter Cup

Went again to try again and get roommates thoughts. We ordered the campfire, strawberry shortcake, peanut butter cup, and sandy beach. The clear winners were the peanut butter cup and strawberry shortcake. The chocolate and peanut butter combo was rich and delicious. Strawberry shortcake was refreshing and I loved the addition of the strawberries on top. However, the sandy beach and campfire were kind of disappointing. Barely got a cinnamon taste from the sandy beach, and the campfire just tasted liked a less impressive chocolate donut compared to the peanut butter cup, didn't get any hints of graham cracker and marshmallows I couldn't really taste.

This is one of my favorite donut shoppes in the state. I love swinging by the SoCal locations on the way to the beach and picking up a few for a leisurely snacking session by the seaside. I love the airy, chewy texture of the freshly fried donuts here. The flavors are pretty interesting without being too egregious. You don't always (or ever) want a donut that's piled up with random stuff like gummy worms and all that. Parlor seems pretty conscientious about that, since the flavors, while bold, are relatively normal, and the toppings don't make it too difficult to take a bite without unhinging your jaw either. I highly recommend the French toast flavor, but they're honestly all equally delicious. If I can't finish, they still taste just as fresh in a day or two!

Stopped in on this Presidents early morning for donuts and coffee. We were greeted by Faith and Jayden. First impression was the experience. When the customer service is EXCELLENT it just makes the restaurant stand out even more for me. Personality and food together make the food taste even better. You must LOVE what you do, it shows. Faith's warm spirit made the donuts even better. Jayden helped us place our order whoch initially was supposed to be 5 donuts.. We bought a dozen we ordered coffee and Faith gave her favorite which is what I ordered, Honey Cinnamon Cold Brew. So good.. We also ordered the Carmel Macchiato, and the Vanilla Bean Cream. All were so good. Overall we ordered the french toast, strawberry shortcake, maple bacon, sandy beach, campfire, turtle, honey glazed. All were so good!! Definitely worth the drive. Thanks Faith and Jayden for making our first visit an experience that will bring us back.

I walked by on my way to George's Camera. I had read about them and wanted to try. So on my way back to my car, I stopped in. The place was empty, there was a "hello, I'll be with you in a minute" that came from behind the espresso machine. This gave me time to look at what they had. Quite a number of flavors to choose from. I seriously didn't know what to get. She: What can I get you? Me: I don't know...they all look good... She: (looked blankly at me with a hint of a smile) Me: What do you think? Sandy Beach or French Toast? She: Sandy Beach I also ordered a latte, iced. Paid and didn't have to wait long. I took it back to work with me. The display case said "tastes like a cinnamon roll"...tasted more like a plain glazed donut with powdered sugar. Maybe if I ate deeper in, I'd get to the cinnamon...but nope...just glaze and donut. My first time experience could've been better. I doubt I'll be back. With the number of creative donut places around San Diego, first impressions really make a difference.

This place is located on the main road, so super busy and can be tough to find parking. The place is pretty roomy so you can enjoy your food and drink inside if you want. The staff is super friendly and patient, especially for the first timers. The donuts are AMAZING! It's pretty much a cronut. I have tried a few flavors and they're all perfect. So flavorful with great texture. Would not hesitate to go here again. The size of the donuts are huge, but you'll scarf it down so fast.

I'm honestly obsessed with this place and usually I knock off a star due to price, but I just love these donuts so much I have to give it the 5 star. I consider these more of a dessert, than a grab n go donut. They have this chewy, almost croissant like texture to the bread. I always get the French toast and sandy beach. Every variation of those are really good. If you want something really heavy and decadent you can go for one of the chocolate coated ones. This location is super cute and actually has plenty of seats to sit down! It has a cute coffee donut shop vibe, seems like you could go in and work there. Service was very friendly and quick. They have plenty of donuts of each flavor all day long. Will definitely be back!

There's a big difference between donuts and doughnuts, and Parlor proves it in every bite. Dense yet fluffy, layered, and packed with flavor making them next level. The vibe is just as good as the food. You can tell the owners take pride in everything as they give friendly, high-energy service and an attention to detail that makes you want to stick around. I even got to chat with one of the owners and she was awesome. This time I only left with four doughnuts and a butterscotch latte. Both were excellent, and I'm already planning my return for the rest of the menu. I see you breakfast tacos :) Welp! Onto the next!

Always love finding new gluten free treats and was excited to try Parlor's gf options. These were decent - the gf base is super dense and more reminiscent of a truffle-esque dense cake. There are only two base flavors of chocolate and vanilla and then some different icing options. The French toast and sandy beach were two of my favorites, but given the base was the same they all taste pretty similar since it's so dense and a bit overpowering.

Overall not to overwhelmingly sweet and dough was very fluffy! My favorite was the raspberry pistachio and blueberry hill. Service is fine and nice workers. The ambiance is cute and a good place to chill with friends and family!

Yummy - the food was pretty good. I had the sausage biscuit. The biscuit was light and flakey. The sausage was savory and paired well with the fig jam and egg. I added gouda cheese, I also had a hot Americano which was strong, smooth and not bitter. I got the blueberry filled donut to go and also enjoyed this. It wasn't overly sweet and the bread was fresh. The place is cute and clean. I was greeted warmly and service was quick on a a Friday morning.

If you're a donut snob, do check out Parlor Doughnuts. They have all kinds of gourmet flavors that is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! The owner of the shop is also super sweet! The space is very roomy, with plenty of tables and chairs. It's the perfect spot to crab your morning coffee and get charged up with a scrumptious donut!

Oh Nomad Donuts how I love you. This place is a local gem that offers craft donuts, breakfast…read moresandwiches, and fun rotating drinks. My favorite part of the start of a new month is checking their monthly drink and donut specials. This month nothing really called my name but they did have a weekend special that really appealed to me. I have had some of their bagel style sandwiches before and ohhhh goodness they are good. This time it was my favorite style of sandwich, a bahn mi. I had high hopes because of the picture they posted on their social media and just the level of creativity they usually bring. Considering it's North Park, I knew ordering online would be the best option and picking up. My estimated time was 15-20 minutes but it only took them under 10. I got an order ready notification before I even left the house. I got there and it was dead, maybe one other person in and out. There's a lot of seating inside and some outside on their patio. They also have different counters for ordering and pick up which helps speed things up. My experience with service was very transactional, nothing bad just nothing to really highlight. Let's talk about this bahn mi. It's promoted as marinated and charred pork shoulder, house made sweet aioli, nuoc cham compound butter, pickled carrot and daikon, mint, cilantro, and jalapeño on a locally sourced Paris baguette. First off, nuoc cham compound butter?? YES. That is the kind of creativity I love to see. I got my sandwich and the wrapper was pretty oily so the sandwich itself looked kind of glossy. The whole thing felt a little rushed, like everything was just thrown on. I will say I wasn't expecting a generous amount of meat but they delivered in that aspect. I first wanted to try the compound butter on its own and it had a slight nuoc cham flavor, but in the sandwich it didn't really stand out past all the bolder flavors. Now if you've seen my other reviews, the best part of a bahn mi to me is the pickled daikon and carrots. These might be the best I have ever had anywhere. They are exactly how I prefer them, sweet with a slight acidity and THICK CUT. The crunch on these... please let me buy a whole jar. The bread was alright, they mention they source it locally so it's not made in house, but mine leaned a little old and I could tell through the texture. The pork was marinated really well, I do wish some of the pieces were more charred because you could see where some of it didn't hit direct flame. This also came with a side of what tasted like a hoisin vinaigrette. I liked the creativity but felt like the sandwich didn't need it. It was way too acidic and strong and there's not much need for that sharp vinegar hit here. I paired my bahn mi with a miso caramel matcha latte. This was expensive, a 12oz for $8 is steep even for matcha. It was good but not amazing. It leans more sweet than matcha forward. The miso caramel actually surprised me though. At other cafes it usually comes off more like a salted caramel, but here it had more depth, slightly savory, and when mixed with the milk it came out really creamy and smooth. The matcha was a little grainy though. Overall I will definitely be back and will keep my eye out for more specials because that's where they really shine. And seriously, if they ever let me buy those pickled carrots and daikon by the jar, I'm there immediately.
