The fact that this small mom-and-pop shop stays in business despite being situated in the same plaza as a mega donut chain speaks volumes about its quality and price point. We dropped in after a late-ish dinner, and were impressed that 1) it was still open, and 2) there was still plenty of selection available. Service was fast, as one would expect.

I came in here after a work dinner and drinks at the pub next door. I was wanting some dessert. I ended getting 12 little chocolate glazed donut holes. Let me tell you when I devoured half of the bag on the drive to my hotel and the other half laying in bed I was in heaven. They reminded me of TimBits from Tim Hortons in Canada. They were so yummy and the service was great. I loved that they were open late and actually had variety to choose from.

Came here because I saw all the high scores here in Yelp for this donut shop. When I arrived, I was happy that they had a lot of selection even in the afternoon. I decided to order two donuts to try. I got a maple bar which was average and I got a sesame, glazed doughnut , which I could not finish. The glazed donut had heavy glaze on it and wasn't cooked very well as it had oil seeping into the interior part of the donut and then the donut crumb was very dry. I doubt this was a fresh donut. I took a picture of the donut after I had a few bites. I decided to throw away over half of this donut. Cost in cash was $3.78. I paid in cash - ten dollar bill and the exact amount of change was listed on the screen: $6.22 cents. The lady handed me 6 dollars and some change. As I left the store, I looked in my hand and found she inexplicably gave me four pennies and a nickel for change which is 9 cents resulting in a 13 cents overcharge. How strange. If you come here and pay cash make sure you get the correct change.

So fluffy! My favorite is the sugar one because of the fluffiness. The seasonal pumpkin one is a delicious cake donut that is still pretty fluffy and enjoyable. Fast and friendly service, reasonable prices, convenient hours. An easy pass-by before work. Coworkers happy :)

This is a throwback little donut shop, the interior looks like it's from 50 years ago. There's even a fairly large counter inside to dine in. The donuts are old-fashioned high-quality. I have only gotten apple fritters here and they are really good, nice and crisp outside with lots of juicy apple bits inside. But all the donuts look good and I look forward to trying more of them.

The donut shop surviving being right next to a mega chain donut shop. Any OG resident living in the area would point you to this place if you are looking for some donuts. We picked and chose from their wide variety of donuts and they did not disappoint. We went around 10am on a Saturday and the donuts were still soft and sweet, not dry or oily. They have a wide variety to choose from so there will be something to satisfy you. The staff were friendly and the two worked fast. It is a small shop but big enough for a quick pickup and go.

Delicious glazed donut. Quick service. Cozy atmosphere and overall warm energy. AC just cool enough.

Excited to have seen a French Cruller! I was disappointed to find that it was super oily. I felt that maybe the oil was too cold when they fried it, causing it to soak up oil, giving it this texture that was soggy. There was oil left on my plate after eating it. I also had a sprinkle donut and that was done well. Wouldn't recommend the French Cruller from here.

Really quick service and delicious donut. Glazed is fairly simple but this one hit the spot. Melted in my mouth.

The sugar donuts are absolutely AMAZINGGGG here. It's the only donut I like on this earth. Sesame does them extra, extra fluffy. And each bite MELTS in my mouth. I came around 7pm at night and looked at the donut rack....and noticed that there were only 6 sugar donuts left!!! They must be pretty popular or ppl really wanted sugar that day. I highly suggest getting at least 1 sugar as one of your choices :) They were extremely fresh too! Had one for breakfast the next morning and it was STILL fluffy. Not the slightest bit of stale at all. Amazing donuts, I hope y'all grab a sugar donut like I said.

Best donut shop in town! Just had the BEST experience at Sesame Donuts in Carmel Mountain! Got a dozen mixed donuts--huge, moist, beautiful decorated, and sooo delicious. Also picked up 3 ham & cheese croissants and my work crew thought they were in heaven Shoutout to Josselin for her super friendly and outstanding service If you're craving donuts, this is the spot. You won't be disappointed! - Happy customer, Laura S.

This location is inside Bober Tea and Coffee. There is a glass casing with several flavors to choose from and they sell at $3 a piece. The one that stood out to me was the chocolate with sprinkles. Upon receiving it in a paper pocket bag, the icing was rubbing off on the bag. That immediately told me this is super fresh! I could already feel the softness of the donut. The little sectioned off ball looking segments of the donut are also a game changer when it comes to eating - easier to eat without making a mess! The texture was bouncy, soft, lightly chewy and a little stretchy... the texture was fun and I found myself wanting another afterwards. I do wish they had offer other flavors that don't sounds too sweet because the other flavors didn't really catch me. Until the next review...

The Chocolate Abuelita was definitely better and I liked the Mexican hot chocolate cream in the center. Oh Nomad Donuts how I love you. This place is a local gem that offers craft donuts, breakfast…read moresandwiches, and fun rotating drinks. My favorite part of the start of a new month is checking their monthly drink and donut specials. This month nothing really called my name but they did have a weekend special that really appealed to me. I have had some of their bagel style sandwiches before and ohhhh goodness they are good. This time it was my favorite style of sandwich, a bahn mi. I had high hopes because of the picture they posted on their social media and just the level of creativity they usually bring. Considering it's North Park, I knew ordering online would be the best option and picking up. My estimated time was 15-20 minutes but it only took them under 10. I got an order ready notification before I even left the house. I got there and it was dead, maybe one other person in and out. There's a lot of seating inside and some outside on their patio. They also have different counters for ordering and pick up which helps speed things up. My experience with service was very transactional, nothing bad just nothing to really highlight. Let's talk about this bahn mi. It's promoted as marinated and charred pork shoulder, house made sweet aioli, nuoc cham compound butter, pickled carrot and daikon, mint, cilantro, and jalapeño on a locally sourced Paris baguette. First off, nuoc cham compound butter?? YES. That is the kind of creativity I love to see. I got my sandwich and the wrapper was pretty oily so the sandwich itself looked kind of glossy. The whole thing felt a little rushed, like everything was just thrown on. I will say I wasn't expecting a generous amount of meat but they delivered in that aspect. I first wanted to try the compound butter on its own and it had a slight nuoc cham flavor, but in the sandwich it didn't really stand out past all the bolder flavors. Now if you've seen my other reviews, the best part of a bahn mi to me is the pickled daikon and carrots. These might be the best I have ever had anywhere. They are exactly how I prefer them, sweet with a slight acidity and THICK CUT. The crunch on these... please let me buy a whole jar. The bread was alright, they mention they source it locally so it's not made in house, but mine leaned a little old and I could tell through the texture. The pork was marinated really well, I do wish some of the pieces were more charred because you could see where some of it didn't hit direct flame. This also came with a side of what tasted like a hoisin vinaigrette. I liked the creativity but felt like the sandwich didn't need it. It was way too acidic and strong and there's not much need for that sharp vinegar hit here. I paired my bahn mi with a miso caramel matcha latte. This was expensive, a 12oz for $8 is steep even for matcha. It was good but not amazing. It leans more sweet than matcha forward. The miso caramel actually surprised me though. At other cafes it usually comes off more like a salted caramel, but here it had more depth, slightly savory, and when mixed with the milk it came out really creamy and smooth. The matcha was a little grainy though. Overall I will definitely be back and will keep my eye out for more specials because that's where they really shine. And seriously, if they ever let me buy those pickled carrots and daikon by the jar, I'm there immediately.

I'd probably try it with an add on of tomato the next time. The ice strawberry matcha is pretty good too. Overall, it's a pretty cool spot for a quick bite!
