This place is phenomenal, a hidden gem and probably the best cafe around that area. The horchata latte was perfect, not too sweet or too bitter. I got the turkey chipotle and my bf got the breakfast panini and added ham. Both were delicious and not skimpy at all, we could've shared one tbh. The employees were kind and the atmosphere is cute! Oh and the music was great too, I was definitely jamming while eating my delicious panini. 10/10 you should try this place out!
Cute little coffee spot right near Vons where I was charging my car. Dog friendly, and very casual but with a great menu. Service was friendly and fast, and there was only one guy working. I recommend the panini with zucchini, it was light and exactly what I needed on the quick stop!
I don't know when the last time is that I had a breakfast sandwich but this was a really really lovely one! Just happened to come here for for breakfast because another place we wanted had too long a wait. Service took really long here but maybe they were just busy on a Saturday morning. Our friend who usually came here said they are really good with the service so we were surprised when all breakfast sandwiches took almost 30 minutes to come out. Sandwiches were really delicious though! Perfectly crispy crusty bread. That was the right amount of grilled and will get a large amount of the fillings! Usually one would expect a thin sandwich with largely bread, but this had the perfect balance with a large amount of filling - something I actually love! Beware that you up might end up with a little bit of a cut feeling in the mouth because that bread does get pretty crispy, haha. Also - lovely seating area outside. Breakfast Panini (Scrambled egg, turkey, pepperjack cheese, avocado, organic greens, tomatoes, red onion) Really lovely condomination. Didn't feel greasy at all. Just the perfect amount of cheese and egg and turkey and everything in there. Avocado was a really nice touch! Veggie Panini + Turkey (grilled zucchini, roasted red peppers, provolone, avocado, greens, tomatoes, red onion, chipotle aioli) + Turkey Really love how loaded this one was. I was expecting there to be greens inside so I asked for extra greens and they really piled it up! The turkey really went well with the vegetables and the Chipotle sauce and there was really nice as well to bring it all together It felt a little big at times where things were just falling apart but it was a beautiful mess! Mexican mocha was unbelievably phenomenally good! Rich and chocolaty with the perfect amount of spice in it. Husband also got the whole charter I slate and that had all the proper cinnamon goodness that you would like.

The restaurant itself is super small but there is plenty of seating outdoor and on the front patio. Service was quick and everyone was friendly! Great house brew, awesome paninis that are large portions, and 2 friendly ladies behind the counter! Indoor and outdoor seating, outlets for laptop inside while you work. Will definitely be back.

I was kind of expecting a longer wait due to reading some other reviews but dang, 35 minutes?! We opted for the Italian and turkey chipotle. Besides the wait the sandwiches were very tasty with crunchy bread, fresh ingredients, and PACKED. I was so stuffed after finishing it. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to return or most definitely not when I'm in a rush to get somewhere.

There was only one gentlemen making food, so not sure if that's the cause of the long wait, but they definitely need to find a better solution. We tried their zesty Italian panini and their turkey chipotle. The zesty Italian was really good, full of flavor from their meat selection along with the pepperoncinis and Italian dressing. The turkey chipotle was well balanced, the chipotle sauce tasted homemade and both were very filling!

Why do people go to Cafe's? I go to enjoy fresh local food and good coffee, while not paying full sit down brunch prices No trendy millennial over-priced coffees here. You get well priced, fresh, amazing breakfast food and coffee served by friendly staff. Enjoy your food in their cozy backyard patio. Try out one of their 50+ hot sauces. Add bacon to your sandwich. This is what a cafe should be. My new favorite breakfast spot in town.
We got Horchata Lattes with oatmilk and then the açaí bowls. The lattes were good and the açaí bowl was okay. The actual açaí part had a little bit of freezer burn and were a little icy instead of a smooth blend. Overall, a decent coffee place and the employees were nice

Read great reviews and decided to get their breakfast panini (vegetarian). It was subpar and lacked flavor. Their orange juice was delicious - but a tad bit expensive ($8+) Ambience is great, staff was friendly. Service was fairly quick.
reviewing coffee, service and ambiance -- dos palmas is 10/10 i've tried a LOT of coffee shops and this one is amazing. they have fancier and unique roasts also if you're into that. they're dog friendly and so nice to your puppers, and the back seating area is the best on a lazy weekend morning. will definitely be coming back to try their sandwiches.

Stumbled into Dos Palmas Cafe when I was in the mood for a sandwich and discovered such a hidden gem! This spot is unassuming from the outside, but has some great vibes. My friend and I split the breakfast panini and the turkey pesto panini and both were super good and stuffed to the brim. I preferred the breakfast one, but I would order both of them again. The food did take a while to be ready, but I didn't even mind because I was enjoying the sunshine on their back patio! They have a selection of seating, from tables to Adirondacks, and they're all within this cozy enclosed backyard space. If you're looking for a casual spot where you can get some fresh air and good food, definitely give Dos Palmas a try. read more

I'm not a regular at Dos Palmas, but from time to time I find myself in the area, and I have yet to be disappointed. My go-to is their breakfast panini. I love an egg and cheese sandwich, but the one here has spinach, avocado, and tomato as well. Great to get some veggies in and make it a full breakfast. Prices aren't exactly cheap, but feel much more reasonable than most places these days. When I was here most recently I also got a chai, which was a great drink. Good milk choices too. The store is very small and they have some stools at a high counter inside. But on nice days you can sit in their pleasant outside area. And big plus: they're open early so you can get some nice food and drink before most other places are open. read more

I ordered a breakfast panini and a cold latte at 11:am. I got it at 11:45. Even though the sandwich was amazing I was a bit disappointed it took so long . But overall the place is really cool and friendly. read more
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great food and coffee, with friendly service. I was in town for the weekend visiting some friends and I needed some early morning coffee and nosh. This place came highly recommended on Yelp so off I went. It had a nice local lived-in vibe, judging from the interaction between the barista and some regulars. I went with my customary Americano with cream (very good), and decided on the breakfast panini on sourdough, which is vegetarian by default. It was generously sized and delicious, with a nice crispy exterior. Their prices were reasonable, too. Definitely a worthwhile visit, and I'm sure not my last. read more

Never noticed this little spot tucked away between normal heights and Kensington. It's a small coffee shop with smootiehes and paninis inside a Spanish style art deco building with an outside veranda and a pleasant courtyard. Little deck with deck chairs under a pomegranate tree, pleasant succulent garden, relaxing music while you have your morning coffee and catchup on emails. Friendly staff, fast service, good panini, I tried the Italian and half of it filled me up so I got to take the rest home. Highly recommended. I'll be back! read more

Amazing little spot for some coffee, paninis, and working time. The back patio area has a lot of seating with tables and was perfect for getting some work done while eating. Service was great and the food was delicious. My friend had the pesto turkey and she gives it a 9/10, generous on the pesto and a solid sandwich. I had the breakfast with bacon and it was yummmmmm. Very filling so I didn't finish it but I would def come back here and takeout the leftovers. Also 9/10 read more

This place surprised me with how much outside seating they had, they had some on the front and on the side of the building which was covered from the sun which was really nice! You order and they start making it right away. I always like it when sandwich places have Miss Vickies chips because they're the best chips to go with a sandwich in my opinion. I was also surprised by how much I liked their iced caramel latte. The panini was well toasted and warm also. I'd come back here again!! read more

Tried: Mexican mocha, Turkey Pesto Panini, Turkey Chipotle Panini Lives up to the reviews! I'm a skeptic at heart but really wanted to give Dos Palmas a try after seeing the great rating (my friend who lives nearby also recommended it). I was interested in the Mexican Mocha but was persuaded into coming for the paninis - and I couldn't be happier. The Mexican mochas are definitely on the sweet side for me (I usually go for about 25% sugar in drinks) but it was absolutely delicious and tasted exactly how I imagined it would. I love Mexican hot chocolate, so would definitely recommend trying it if you do too! I tried both the Turkey Chipotle and the Turkey Pesto and they were both so good. I usually avoid chipotle as a flavor because a lot of the time it tends to taste artificial/not authentic, but this sauce was amazing, distinct, and had depth to it. It was smoky and had a real unctuous quality to it - it tasted like I was eating bacon without there actually being any bacon in the sandwich. I thought that the other ingredients really complimented it well. Both sandwiches were toasted the perfect amount and were warm and soft on the inside. We came in on a Wednesday for lunch to go and the owners/cashier were so friendly despite us being extremely indecisive about what to order. I loved the open air layout of the store and felt like it would've been a nice place to sit and eat. Also some super cool art inside! read more

I typically come here for their coffee but decided to try a panini today for breakfast. I'm not a huge sandwich person, but WOW. They do not skimp on anything here and the ingredients tasted super fresh. I had an oat milk dirty chai to go with my sandwich which was delicious. I've also had their horchata cold brew and banana bread which were both tasty. Service is always very friendly here and they are always very kind to my dog. Love the outdoor seating area where I can relax with my pup and they even have free dog treats up front! read more

This is honestly the only place I come when I am craving a sandwich. I love veggies and the gluten free bread is top notch! I highly recommend the veggie sandwich and I added bacon to mine, yum yummy good good! I always call in my order and one time I forgot to ask for gluten free and the lovely person who's name I can't recall asked if my allergy had changed and if I wanted gluten free bread, who does that? They do! Absolutely amazing. Plenty of open park like seating out back in the patio area. This is truly one of my happy places for my belly. read more

We stopped by Dos Palmas on our way to the airport for our morning flight. It was small, so we took a seat outside. The only downside is the seating was pretty high and not easy for short people to get on. The atmosphere was really calm and quiet, despite being right on the street. My boyfriend had the avocado toast, and I got the açaí bowl. It was a little small, but the açaí itself was really flavorful, and the fruit was fresh! read more
