Really nice spot, tucked off El Cajon next to some auto shops - just look for the coffee banner! Staff is warm, welcoming and aren't rushing customers. I paid about $10 for a cold brew old fashioned (orange is nicely present, bitter in the right way with a touch of sweetness) and a pork tamale (seasoned the whole way through, a touch of spice that's really pleasant. The salsa is more like a thick hot sauce, spicy and tomato-y). Would order both again! Found this cafe while browsing nearby coffee shops on Yelp. While we found a spot rather quickly, parking can be a challenge depending on the time of day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This space sort of feels like a open garage or like extension of a house. This is such a great spot to grab a little breakfast burrito treat and latte! We got hot almond milk lattes unsweetened. (So tasty!) the coffee was perfectly balanced! We also ordered the chorizo burritos. These are mini burritos (think about it like you're ordering a pastry with your coffee). Oh my gosh, the burritos were amazing! A little coffee spot right next to an auto repair shop. The owner said they've been open for a couple of months and what a cute spot they have! They have a couple of mini burrito options from Los Burritos de tu Madre. I had a beef chorizo and queso one which tasted delicious. It was an affordable price ($4.50) for a quick bite. I also had their vanilla latte; a flavorful classic. They have a few seats so you can sit down and enjoy yourself while here. To find this cafe, you can see a propped up sign on the main street, El Cajon Blvd. You'll also see a banner right outside its entrance when you look into the street that it's on. Nothing like a community spot to head to for coffee. Loved the vibes and style of Decorazon Coffee Bar. read more

This is a cool little small business coffee shop on McClintock St., right off El Cajon Blvd. in Normal Heights, between the The Boulavard Smog Test Center and O' Conners Church Supply & Gifts. I had a cortado and a Los Burritos de tu Madre breakfast burrito with sausage, eggs, and hash browns, not to mention some read salsa. The cortado was very good made from a blend of arabica and robusta. It was smooth, rich, and definitely robust. The breakfast burrito was bliss, but then again I didn't expect anything less from Los Burritos de tu Madre. They offer a great product and you can find it here at Decorazon Coffee Bar. The coffee bar offers a few tables on the patio and baked goods as well. The service was very friendly. read more

The service was exceptional! We walked here from an Airbnb stay just outside of North Park & did not regret it one bit. I did a quick google search to find a minority own coffee shop, since I was in the area. De corazon populated and I do not regret stopping here. The shop was a bit hidden, but there was signs pointing you to where it was at. I was immediately greeted by the owner and the person who does the baked goods, both who were nice and welcoming. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the breakfast items or baked goods but both sounded amazing and looked yummy. I got a mazapan latte and I got a horchata latte for my husband, both with almond milk, and they both did not disappoint. I will definitely be back to try the other things on the menu. read more

Tucked away next to an auto body shop, this unassuming coffee shop seemed to be a popular pit stop for locals. It had Mexican-inspired drinks and they were selling desserts like conchas. The location is a bit hidden. You must have had angels whispering in your ears. Me? Who knows what I was doing. Yet, I found myself there one morning, wondering what I got into. The gentleman at the espresso machine was attentive and accommodating. In actuality, I do not remember the drink I ordered. Yet, it was Hoovered in a mere couple of minutes due to exquisite deliciousness. Also, I had a tiny burrito that cost $4.50. I thought it was pricey. Once I bit into it, I shut the F up! This place opened right next to our apartment and I couldn't be more excited! It's located behind a smog check station so it is fully outdoors. It's a very cute little spot with lots of sunshine. I tried the Mexican Mocha Cold Brew and it was absolutely delicious and gave me the energy for the day. I also tried a burrito which was small but very affordable and was a perfect amount of food for breakfast. The service was amazing and attentive. I even got a cake pop from the barista! The flights come out in metal racks that were intended as candle holders. Creative use. I chose the ESPRESSO LATTE FLIGHT: The wife got the MATCHA FLIGHT with the same fruits. We sipped each other's flight for fun to share thoughts. STRAWBERRY: -- this one probably works the least ideal but still works -- they need thicker straws because the strawberry puree shrapnel gets stuck...so we sipped from the glass and used the straws intermittently -- the strawberry FOAM is bomb as are all the foams RATING = A- BLUEBERRY: -- a similar experience to strawberry but it works a touch better with blueberry morphing with bold coffee better RATING = A BANANA LATTE: -- banana chip on top nice touch -- the softness of the banana morphed perfectly with the espresso and the matcha for each set...these just worked together the best -- the wife does not even like banana but stated this fact RATING = A+ COCONUT LATTE: -- if you can handle the highest sweet factor of all it will pay dividends -- this was my favorite overall tasting one -- the toasted coconut flakes put it over the top -- sweetness is past medium and leaning high RATING = A+ Overall, I preferred the espresso flight, but I prefer coffee to tea typically anyway. The girl who took my order had a warm and friendly smile that brightened up the day. I ordered an iced Cafe De Olla Latte and was immediately impressed by the sweet flavor. The texture of the coffee was slightly thick but smooth. It reminded me of a tamer Vietnamese coffee. Sometimes, Vietnamese coffee can be a bit too strong so the Cafe de Olla is a nice respite from that. With my coffee thoroughly enjoyed, I looked forward to the rest of my day! Looking forward to coming back!

It was delicious and the matcha came through nicely. Great green coloring, always a good sign of a quality matcha. I thought it was really good, especially considering this area is slightly limited on great matcha lattes. Parking is tricky which makes running in and out tough. It's mostly metered.

Seating was available inside or outside under some canopied tables on the sidewalk. Two menu sheets, one for food and one for drinks, were posted at the counter. Vietnamese fare like banh mi and coffee were the main offerings. Egg rolls, egg souffles, and pastries were the other food categories. You could also get matcha, coconut clouds, and espressos for beverages. I selected the first of eight banh mi choices which was the House BBQ Cold Cut and a Matcha Mango for a drink. The sandwich toppings were listed as Vietnamese garlic aioli, pickled jalapenos, carrot, daikon, fresh sliced cucumbers, and minced cilantro. If you look at the photo of what I received, it was French bread with pork meat and spread inside. I don't believe any of the veggies were added so a mistake was made by the kitchen. It was also heated too which I have never experienced before for a "cold cut" banh mi. The matcha beverage was made by the barista at the counter. Whole milk was my choice of dairy. A mango puree was placed at the bottom of the cup followed by the layering of the latte and matcha powder. The blend was smooth with a solid matcha flavor. Between my sandwich and drink, I gave a 3.5 star rating for my experience at Hydout Cafe.

It looks like a living room (hence the name of the place) actual chairs, dining tables and different style of couches and they are all unique in their own way. They also have board games and you can use those to hangout with friends. Their inside closes at a certain time but you can go outside to their patio tables and chairs and continue to hangout there. I genuinely think this place is a hidden gem and probably one of the best coffees I've had in SD (purely based on taste).
