Parking can be an issue but wasn't I went on. Saturday morning and was able to find parking nearby. The burritos are delish. Remind me of my mommas. Had the elote matcha. I love anything corn and we got a concha too. Plus strawberry matcha. Great service. Totally going to go back.

De Corazon is a great semi-hidden coffee shop located off El Cajon blvd. There's an outside seating area and they have DJs on some days. I tried the iced horchata latte and a mini breakfast burrito. Both were delicious and it was under $10. The service is friendly. Parking is a little difficult but not too bad if you don't mind walking a block.

Cool little coffee shop with unique and flavorful drinks. The service was super fast and friendly. I got the Chelado, not something I would normally go for but I wanted to try something new and I was not disappointed. It has great lemon and salt flavor with the right amount of cold brew to balance things out.

10/10 the mini burritos are a perfect size and FINALLY someone knows that flour tortillas are meant to be cooked, not eaten raw like every other place. wooops burritos de harina al vapor, just like my grandma made them.

This is such a great spot to grab a little breakfast burrito treat and latte! We got hot almond milk lattes unsweetened. (So tasty!) the coffee was perfectly balanced! We also ordered the chorizo burritos. These are mini burritos (think about it like you're ordering a pastry with your coffee). Oh my gosh, the burritos were amazing! Tortillas were FRESH, beans were yummy. I would definitely come again for a coffee and lil burrito! Solid prices as well. Service was quick.

A little coffee spot right next to an auto repair shop. The owner said they've been open for a couple of months and what a cute spot they have! They have a couple of mini burrito options from Los Burritos de tu Madre. I had a beef chorizo and queso one which tasted delicious. It was an affordable price ($4.50) for a quick bite. I also had their vanilla latte; a flavorful classic. They have a few seats so you can sit down and enjoy yourself while here. To find this cafe, you can see a propped up sign on the main street, El Cajon Blvd. You'll also see a banner right outside its entrance when you look into the street that it's on. Nothing like a community spot to head to for coffee. Loved the vibes and style of Decorazon Coffee Bar.

I really love this place. It's out doors, has a great vibe, and the people are always very kind and welcoming. They greeted my dog and I and gave him a treat which we both appreciated. My dog and I shared a chorizo and bean burrito with a cafe de olla late and it really felt like what a Saturday morning is supposed to feel like. Support your local owned businesses. Thank you guys :-) I hope to come for one of your events soon.

The service was exceptional! We walked here from an Airbnb stay just outside of North Park & did not regret it one bit. We got our drinks & concha just as a DJ came to setup & we ended up sitting and enjoying our yummy drinks while he started. We tried the cold brew & choco banana latte, both were delicious! :)

Cortado & Breakfast Burrito

This is a cool little small business coffee shop on McClintock St., right off El Cajon Blvd. in Normal Heights, between the The Boulavard Smog Test Center and O' Conners Church Supply & Gifts. I had a cortado and a Los Burritos de tu Madre breakfast burrito with sausage, eggs, and hash browns, not to mention some read salsa. The cortado was very good made from a blend of arabica and robusta. It was smooth, rich, and definitely robust. The breakfast burrito was bliss, but then again I didn't expect anything less from Los Burritos de tu Madre. They offer a great product and you can find it here at Decorazon Coffee Bar. The coffee bar offers a few tables on the patio and baked goods as well. The service was very friendly.

I did a quick google search to find a minority own coffee shop, since I was in the area. De corazon populated and I do not regret stopping here. The shop was a bit hidden, but there was signs pointing you to where it was at. I was immediately greeted by the owner and the person who does the baked goods, both who were nice and welcoming. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the breakfast items or baked goods but both sounded amazing and looked yummy. I got a mazapan latte and I got a horchata latte for my husband, both with almond milk, and they both did not disappoint. I will definitely be back to try the other things on the menu.

I'm bummed I haven't known about this coffee shop sooner! Very nice and welcoming upon arrival with a great amount of seating. We tried the Cafe De Olla Latte and Iced Pumpkin Horchata Latte. Both very flavorful and the pumpkin flavor was subtle which is perfect for me. Also tried the Chocolate Concha which was extremely fresh and soft. Highly recommend this coffee shop!

2nd time here and I tried the Mexican Mocha with oatmilk. SERIOUSLY sooooo good!! I love the expresso they use, it has such an amazing toasty flavor that I personally love. And of course prices are amazing!!!! My favorite coffee shop.

I discovered this cafe about 2 weeks ago and I've been going in almost every day for breakfast! The barista is a sweet guy and the vibes are always friendly. The drinks have all been delicious, same with the burritos!

I told my friend the food was worth the wait. After an hour we got sat at the bar and our first server was friendly. There was a transition of servers (not sure if he left for the day or went on lunch) and the new server would check on everyone at the bar except us. My water remained empty for most of the meal. The bartenders in front of us were clearly having a conversation and I didn't want to interrupt. My friend claimed her Irish coffee was sour? And didn't realize cheese came on a side of eggs (she should've checked when she ordered but the server never clarified either). We weren't checked on during the meal until the bill came and by then we just wanted to leave. I ordered the fluffy pancakes and found an egg shell inside. The cracking of eggshells in my mouth made me loose my appetite. We paid (still tipped of course) and left. It was great the first time and mediocre the second time. I prefer consistently in service, especially if I'm waiting an hour to be seated.

We had spent most of the day around Bankers Hill and decided to grab an early dinner at Books & Records. Getting reservations was easy, but from the moment we walked in, the ambiance alone already had us sold. The place was still pretty quiet when we arrived, and to our surprise it was happy hour, so naturally we ordered a bunch of items off the menu along with drinks. Everything was ridiculously good. Not one miss. What really stood out though was the attention to detail. The host brought us a complimentary glass of champagne after hearing we were celebrating our anniversary. Small gesture, big impact. Stuff like that matters. As the night went on, the restaurant filled up, live music started playing, and the whole atmosphere just came alive. Our waiter never rushed us once, which made the experience feel even more intentional and relaxed. We were able to actually enjoy the moment instead of feeling pushed through dinner service. Good food is one thing. Great hospitality is another. This place gave us both. Next time we're in San Diego, we're absolutely making it a point to come back. Lovely spot. Lovely experience.

Dennise seated us and was so kind, she even shared a few of her favorite menu items since it was our first visit. Our server Anelle was great as well. She was friendly, attentive, and helped us pick some really good dishes. We tried the Tacos Dorados de Papa, El Sampler de la Abuela, and La Bomba, and for appetizers the Burrito de Machaca con Frijoles Puercos and the sweet corn tamal (which ended up being my favorite). Cramped and loud, but nicely decorated and serving solid authentic meals. Mexican Latte-9/10: Pretty straightforward. A solid, nostalgic spiced coffee. Mazapan Latte-10/10: A novelty menu item, both nostalgic and tasty. With a sweetened condensed milk rim and mazapan dust, this sweet coffee is a must order. Chilaquiles-10/10: Cocina 35 knows how to throw down the best Mexican breakfast item: the chilaquiles. The Verde was good but didn't pack much heat. The Salsa Secreta was our favorite; a creamy 3-chile salsa with an artichoke flavor, this one packs an enjoyable amount of heat. The Chipotle was another yummy and creamy option, making your nose run but still very enjoyable. Frijoles Puercos-7/10: They were pretty standard. I've definitely had better. They served their purpose as a good side. Concha Rellena-7.5/10: Another creative menu item. Whipped cream and whole strawberries sandwiched between two french toast-style concha halves and drenched in cajeta. It was sweet and warm, but would've been more enjoyable with fresher and/or sliced strawberries. Fun to order, but a regular concha is better suited for enjoying with your coffee. Service-6/10: Again, Cocina 35 gets packed, so service isn't as attentive. Our party had to order and wait for water, ask for refills, call the server over for more orders and again for the bill, and wouldn't speak to us in Spanish. I witnessed other tables be spoken to in Spanish, but upon ordering I'd only be responded to in English. I know I'm a white Mexican, but native tongue is nice when I make it clear I'd like to order in Spanish. Overall, a fun spot with solid menu items. The samplers are pricey but probably the best bang for your buck. They do the classics very well, and are very much worth your visit!

"Over medium" eggs came barely cooked, still had clear egg gel floating around. The table next to us had the same issue. The fried chicken, which is beautiful looking, was strangely flavorless. Another table was also talking about this issue. Bacon was way overcooked as well. I also really dislike when food timing for a table is way off. I rather it stay in the kitchen under a heat lamp and come together rather that spend 5 minutes staring at my food being polite. So, for a fun "wow that's a ton of food" experience this is it. But I much prefer quality ingredients and attention to detail and flavor over unfinishable portions at a premium price point ($100 after tip for 2 ppl).
