Iced John Wick, Lavender Honey Latte, $7. Need another shot, it was weak :(
Caitlin D.

Came here with friends on Sunday and it was packed. The worker was kind and they had a large menu of specialty drinks with fun names. I was going to get the hazelnut + banana aka Valkyrie but then I saw they had lavender honey latte. I went with that, they call it John Wick, I ordered it iced with regular milk-- $7. I was waiting for my name to be called, but it was hard to hear. I'm unsure how long it was sitting at the bar for & so, the drink was a bit light. I wonder how many shots they used in this size cup (it looked like a 16 oz). I think with another shot added it would be better. I don't think they make their own syrup, it's .75 cents more than other coffee shops. Not a super big deal if you're getting quality, but it wasn't a strong latte so I was a little sad. I'll order a different drink next time! There's a few inside seating and several outdoor tables. There's a little library posted nearby as well. And a bathroom, if you need it. Never been to this area of University Heights before so it's a nice spot to adventure around. Menu is big with different drinks and even breakfast items.

Cute little spot in university heights neighborhood. Always has a great selection of mochas and lattes. Highly recommend the breakfast sando, I usually get the chicken one which is legit. The bread is always fresh. The baristas who work there are always helpful and quick with service. Expect a line if you show up after 9, be patient it's worth it! Come out to this place!

I ordered a chai latte here, and it was solid with a good balance of spices and tea flavor. The bartender was excellent and and skilled. They did the best foam of the oat milk I've ever had!! A nice perk was that milk substitutes are free, which I always appreciate. For the location, it's located in a corner with limited parking, but the roads around it are relatively quiet which is nice if you want to enjoy the seating outside.

The coffee here is bomb! I really like all the unique syrups. I went with the Valkyrie mostly due to curiosity because it was banana and hazelnut flavoring which I've never tried before. It was delicious!

This is a cute little spot! I got the avocado bagel with tomato and truffle balsamic. It was good, but nothing special. I also got the honey lavender coffee which was simple, but tasty. The service was kind and quick with my food and drink. The interior is smaller, but a nice coffee shop. Parking can be rough.

An amazing, welcoming spot in University Heights. The neighbors just adore this sweet spot for brunchie items, coffee menu, and sweet treats. At 7:00 a.m. some locals are already placing their orders, reading the paper and settling in to a cozy seat inside. 4-legged companions and their sidekicks are hanging at tables outside greeting customers. Dog friendly with treats and photos of our beloved dogs (and cats). Breakfast sandwiches, vegan tamales, chilaquiles and more! Be sure to get your Mystic Mocha T-shirt and don't forget the coffee punch card for a freebie. Walk, bike, street parking.

UNIQUE AND DELICIOUS! I cannot say enough about the jackfruit tamale with green sauce! DID NOT DISAPPOINT! . Cute unique corner hole in the wall. The name matches the vibe. The staff was helpful and kind. The food.... DELICIOUS! Especially for being a coffee joint, the food was very well made and high quality! I got the tamale and the avocado bagel my friend got a sando (sandwich) next time I'll try a sandwich! I have to say I am not a fan of the moon and star mystical stuff however I'd come back for the food and coffee! I

Decided to try this coffee shop while in the area. After finding parking fairly quickly we went in and order a John Whick (honey+lavender latte) and the Valkyerie (banana + hazelnut latte). The JW was tasty, but I did think the honey and lavender were a bit subtle; whereas, with the Valkyerie the banana flavor was strong but definitely tasted of artificial syrup which isn't to my taste. For the space and service itself, since it wasn't very busy we got our drinks within minutes and sat down on one of the benches outside to enjoy our drinks. The spot was very chill and the shade was great during the hot weather. The staff were very friendly and put a smile on our faces, would definitely recommend trying it out.

Unfortunately, there is NO DANCEFLOOR :,( The bar lines are INSANE and can be hard to follow. But the bartneders are patient and helpful when it's finally your turn. While I warn about the crowds, this place is awesome. 10/10 one of the best spots in San Diego, the staple of North Park.

But you have to be patient as they are often quite busy. The record store and records theme is what they present online but to be honest that is only a minute section of the establishment. It definitely doesn't describe the theme of the place neither. The worker in the record section simply ignored me when I tried to purchase a record and after a minute I had to ask for him to please ring me up. No apology from him. No biggie, I still had a decent time drinking here.

After ordering we got our food pretty soon after. It's dimly lit inside but you can still see one another across the tables. Some clumps had way too much honey and I felt like I was just getting a spoonful of sweetness. Wings: Standard chicken wings, but the Lemon Pepper Seasoning was way too heavy, so it was pretty salty for some bites. Fried Chicken Sandwich: Loved the tater tots - super crispy just like I like them! The chicken sandwich was just OK for me - the chicken itself was a little dry, but the seasonings were good. - OVERALL - Just an OK spot for bites and drinks. Being a sober girlie, I've heard about this place for years and was thrilled to finally try it so we had to order a few drinks. There's nothing quite like being able to look at a drink menu and know you can order anything from it because it's all sober friendly. They have a CBD infused drink part of the menu, a kava section and a mocktail drink section along with a food menu. The food looked delicious but we came here for a night cap after eating dinner nearby. We snagged 3 drinks- I need to check my notes on which ones we got but they were all so good. This is the type of place you can come here for a first date, date night worh your partner or co-work with your laptop. I saw all varieties of people who were doing their thang and it felt comfortable. The theme is inspired by Mac Miller and the decor is intentional and classic. Word on the street is that the 2 female owners had some disagreements with their investor so there's somewhat bad blood and that's always a bummer to hear people especially those in the sober community not be able to resolve their differences after they've made such an incredibly safe haven for us to enjoy. I get it though, some business partners are bad choices but y'all have made a beautiful experience here and I'm so grateful for it. I really like the growing NA trend, and even though I drink, it's great to have an alternative, safer-feeling, and more inclusive nightlife option. I came with a couple friends on a Sunday night, about a week ago. We all drink alcohol, but we've all been drinking less lately. The place was almost empty around 8pm, which we found concerning for its prospective longevity. We also thought the prices were pretty steep -- maybe I'm biased as someone who drinks alcohol, but if I'm getting a mocktail or other NA drink, I'd like to pay less than $15+ for it. Still, I ordered the Ave Maria and thought it was one of the best mocktails I've ever had. One of my friends got the Malibu (he liked it but did complain about the price), and I don't remember what my other friend got. We sat for a while and played Connect4 using the fanciest set I'd ever seen. Some more people came in, so it didn't feel nearly as empty by the time I left. I'd probably come back, but only if I was with someone who doesn't drink and/or really wanted to try this bar. I hope they make it!
