Lovely coffee shop with cute decor. Has plenty of seating so you can come grab a nice beverage and/or snack and work a little bit. Staff is friendly. Parking is only street parking and that can be a little tough but possible to find. Only thing I would not recommend is the Brie toast with walnuts and hot honey. Just did not work for me.

Breakfast burrito with barely any egg or sausage inside it was mostly just tortilla.

I'm so bummed to be leaving this review but I'm really disappointed after paying $11 for a breakfast burrito here. the burrito itself was actually pretty good, but it came out cold and there was barely any filling in it. It was mostly tortilla. That's why it was even more weird that they just tossed my avocado on top of the burrito versus putting it inside. There was plenty of space for it. I ended up having to shove the avocado in one by one by myself as I was eating it.. I hope it was just an off day, but it was definitely not worth what I paid

One of the main coffee shops I visit when I am in town. I love that there is ample seating for big groups or just if you need to get some work done. It is also dog friendly and nice customer service. Not only did I see the shop was decorated, but the employees were always dressed up too, which I think is so cute. Their coffees are good and I have done a few of their seasonal sandwiches and burritos. But what I absolutely love is all the food options they have for vegetarians. And I don't just mean a pastry. They have veggie OR soyrizo burritos! Even better, there is a $10 deal for a drip coffee and burrito. So not only is it tasty, it's affordable. Highly recommend a quick stop breakfast here or even just a chill place to catch up with friends!

I was in North Park, needing to get some coffee and breakfast before getting my hair done and I decided on this place after a Google search. I liked the aesthetic of the place based on the pics. It's open and airy and not busy on a Sunday. I was excited to try one of their flavored lattes, which was the Banana Bread Latte with oat milk I also got the Ultimate Bagel on an Everything bagel. The latte, tasted nothing like banana bread. To be honest, it tasted like a Vanilla Latte. There's nothing too special about it and I was super disappointed. It was watery and no distinct flavors stood out to me. I was so disappointed that I got another latte somewhere else later on. As for the bagel, it was pretty tasty and filling. The bagel was soft and ingredients were fresh. The place looked like a good place to study but there were a lot of flies when I was waiting. Hard to compete with Between Us across the street (which was packed by the way) and Saigon Coffee just a short walk away.

Lazy Eye Coffee feels like the perfect place for a neighborhood hang. Corner spot, big spacious interior, drinks and food to enjoy. The only downside, parking. Thus, best to come by if you're in walking distance. On a Friday afternoon, the place was half full. There were lots of folks working on their computers thanks to the free WiFi. My only challenge working here would be that it's pretty hot. It's all open aired so it can get really warm in here. They had a seasonal special of a rose lychee latte made with their homemade rose lychee syrup. I asked if I could swap the espresso for matcha. The rose lychee syrup was perfectly paired with matcha and the drink was delicious! It needed a little more ice but I appreciated that they didn't skimp on the actual drink to ensure it was full! Fun options in a great space!

Stumbled upon this inviting little café and really enjoyed the experience. I ordered an Iced Vanilla Bean Latte and their Drumstick Signature Latte(chocolate, vanilla, caramel, plus sea salt)both with breve. They were flavorful and creamy, the drumstick is a sweeter latte, which I like, Pricing is average for a coffee shop, and there's plenty of cozy indoor seating, which makes it a great spot to chill or get some work done. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The menu is surprisingly extensive--lattes, coffee, toasts, bowls, sandwiches, and more. I also loved that they offer a great selection of seasonal lattes, which keeps things fun and creative.

the bagel was so good ! i got the everything bagel and my friend got the jalapeño cheddar and they were both amazing . place was clean and employees were really nice :) i tried a seasonal drink and it was pretty good ( the yellow drink) and my friend got the tiramisu cold brew which was sooo good and ill def get it next time. Came on a sunday and got good seating , they closed at 4 !

Super friendly spot to grab a delicious coffee, some baked treats, hot sandwiches, and plenty of seating! The staff was welcoming and you can tell the customers enjoy the vibe with all the different dogs

People hype up the other coffee shops in the area but lowkey this might be the best one on 30th street and maybe the best one in North Park in general. First of all. It's a chill place to come and kick it. Open space. Good vibes. Plenty of spots to sit. Free wifi. Not sure if it's dog friendly but it looks so. Menu is affordable and has a lot of variety. I don't ever eat at cafe but there were several things that caught my eye that might change my mind. I got two coffees here. The Coconut Orange Blossom Water Americano for 6 dollars. Its coconut water, espresso and their house made orange blossom almond syrup with a dash of cream. And I also got the Pear Peach Pie coffee which had fresh peaches, pears and plums are stewed in a simple syrup of thyme, nutmeg and clove to create a pie like syrup added to espresso and oat milk. The orange blossom was for the win. Both were great and you could taste all the notes. It was well rounded. But the orange blossom had that little bit of umph that separated it from the other. Which is interesting because I typically wouldn't go for it. I did ask for the peach pie coffee to be made with one less pump because it just sounded super sweet. Service was quick and easy. Nice people all around. There were a handful of people there and I saw a worker go around and check in with each of them which I feel like doesn't really happen at a coffee shop and that was sweet. I'll be coming back for sure

3-4 stars. They were super crowded this morning, but handled the rush really well. Today, I believe the owner was here! The baristas were really friendly and kind. The fans were working much better than last time with a nice cool breeze. The space was well decorated with pretty vases and plants. Today, I sat in the front of the coffee shop and shared the rectangular table with a few strangers. I ordered my drink "for here!" I was deciding between a vanilla bean latte and the peach pear pie again. I decided to go with the ($6) iced peach pear pie latte, the smaller size, with regular milk. Compared to other coffee places, this one lacks the coffee strength. I think it was quite thin & milky today. I couldn't exactly taste all the flavors listed on the description for this latte (I wish it had more oomph! I know I said that last time too, but I figured it would be different today). I saw people with hot drinks, their "for here" mugs were so lovely! The ceramic glaze was a beautiful blueish purple which matched their Lazy Eye Coffee mural outside. A nice array of seasonal specials, coffee, teas, and food! Dog friendly and a great place to come with friends/family. Have conversations or people-watch outside the windows. They also have coffee merch: t shirts, jackets, tumblers, and more!

I placed a pickup order while I was dog sitting. The dog is not comfortable around other dogs, but after a long walk, which we did before picking up the coffee, he is chill. I went in, picked up my coffee and the sweetest young girl looked me in my eye and said Thank you and used my name which was a part of the order. So great customer service! Going back tomorrow with the dog! I try a different coffee each time I dogsit in this area, and i have never been disappointed.

Cute little place around the corner. Lots of seating options even during the weekends. Parking may be tricky, as it's in north park. I got a latte and a basic B bagel, they were both average.

Parking in North Park can be quite challenging, so keep that in mind when visiting. However, this shouldn't affect our review of Lazy Eye Coffee North Park. I decided to drop by after hearing friends rave about it. While I was impressed by the decor and variety of options, the service I received was not particularly welcoming--though I understand that everyone has their own style. I ordered the banana bread latte, which was enjoyable. The banana syrup (whether house-made or not) didn't taste artificial. However, I didn't notice any walnut bitters, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a nice treat for anyone looking for something sweeter and smoother. From what I've seen, their iced lattes have unique flavors and combinations. But - the espresso seems to be on the smoother end and not as bold one may like.

The bartenders in front of us were clearly having a conversation and I didn't want to interrupt. My friend claimed her Irish coffee was sour? And didn't realize cheese came on a side of eggs (she should've checked when she ordered but the server never clarified either). We weren't checked on during the meal until the bill came and by then we just wanted to leave. I ordered the fluffy pancakes and found an egg shell inside. The cracking of eggshells in my mouth made me loose my appetite. We paid (still tipped of course) and left. It was great the first time and mediocre the second time. We had spent most of the day around Bankers Hill and decided to grab an early dinner at Books & Records. Getting reservations was easy, but from the moment we walked in, the ambiance alone already had us sold. The place was still pretty quiet when we arrived, and to our surprise it was happy hour, so naturally we ordered a bunch of items off the menu along with drinks. Everything was ridiculously good. Not one miss. What really stood out though was the attention to detail. The host brought us a complimentary glass of champagne after hearing we were celebrating our anniversary. Small gesture, big impact. Stuff like that matters. As the night went on, the restaurant filled up, live music started playing, and the whole atmosphere just came alive. Our waiter never rushed us once, which made the experience feel even more intentional and relaxed. We were able to actually enjoy the moment instead of feeling pushed through dinner service. Good food is one thing. Great hospitality is another. This place gave us both. Next time we're in San Diego, we're absolutely making it a point to come back. Lovely spot. Lovely experience.

Mazapan Latte-10/10: A novelty menu item, both nostalgic and tasty. With a sweetened condensed milk rim and mazapan dust, this sweet coffee is a must order. Chilaquiles-10/10: Cocina 35 knows how to throw down the best Mexican breakfast item: the chilaquiles. The Verde was good but didn't pack much heat. The Salsa Secreta was our favorite; a creamy 3-chile salsa with an artichoke flavor, this one packs an enjoyable amount of heat. The Chipotle was another yummy and creamy option, making your nose run but still very enjoyable. Frijoles Puercos-7/10: They were pretty standard. I've definitely had better. They served their purpose as a good side. Concha Rellena-7.5/10: Another creative menu item. Whipped cream and whole strawberries sandwiched between two french toast-style concha halves and drenched in cajeta. It was sweet and warm, but would've been more enjoyable with fresher and/or sliced strawberries. Fun to order, but a regular concha is better suited for enjoying with your coffee. Service-6/10: Again, Cocina 35 gets packed, so service isn't as attentive. Our party had to order and wait for water, ask for refills, call the server over for more orders and again for the bill, and wouldn't speak to us in Spanish. I witnessed other tables be spoken to in Spanish, but upon ordering I'd only be responded to in English. I know I'm a white Mexican, but native tongue is nice when I make it clear I'd like to order in Spanish. Overall, a fun spot with solid menu items. The samplers are pricey but probably the best bang for your buck. They do the classics very well, and are very much worth your visit!

On top of the food, the service made the experience even more memorable. Sami was so kind and welcoming, and she even gave me one of their cups with the sheep logo, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in San Diego. The pot pie was hearty and delicious. It was full of a variety of vegetables and the fries were amazing. Would definitely go back if I am in the area
