Came by and ordered myself a Pain Au Chocolat (Chocolate Croissant). He offered to warm it up for me and I thought that was kind! It def tasted much better warm and gooey. It flaked beautifully and was buttery. I was surprised to hear it was $6.50 because it's the same price I paid for a specialty latte here. I would have expected a croissant (chocolate or plain) to be in the $4.25-$5.50/$5.75 range. I guess everything in Sky Deck is a little more expensive than what you'd expect-- maybe because of the cost they have to pay to rent the space. The workers were kind to give me space and time to check over the menu. Like I mentioned last time, the font is a bit small. It would be nice to have printed & laminated menus at the counter space as well for people. I think next time I come I would love to order a crêpe-- the sucre au citron caught my eye because it's a classic! I was surprised to see that they didn't offer salted caramel crêpe though. I came to this establishment at around 9pm. A lot of items were sold out, but that's to be expected of a bakery open this late. We ordered a French pudding, and the cashier told us it was meant to be eaten heated, but did not heat it for us until we returned and specifically requested it be. He seemed slightly miffed both by that and when we asked for utensils as well. The dessert is good. The macaron is chewy in a nice way, and Earl grey is a very unique flavor for a macaron. The croissant my husband order was so ok I thought for 8 dollars it would be tasteful it was actually tasteless. What I loved was my brown sugar cinnamon iced coffee. We stopped by this place on our way out of the Skydeck Food Court after our dinner. We decided to take some sweets for on the road as we headed back to Los Angeles. We were not disappointed. It all tasted delicious! Latte was delicious! The pastries are also a good size for sharing if you want to. We took the French Pudding to go and were given the instructions on how to warm it up at home. Worked well. Yummy! The team members who helped us were courteous. So glad there is another location closer to us than in Gaslamp and Fashion Valley. We love going to Sky Deck for lunch/dinner and ending our meals with dessert/a sweet treat here at Parfait Paris. Now the reason I do love these locations is due to their exceptional macarons. They all have wonderful flavors that are actually poignant when consuming them. They always taste fresh and light. My favorite flavors have been the jasmine earl grey, the Sicilian pistachio, and the honey lavender. This location made them as perfect as expected! My husband and I ordered their Nutella crepe and their creme brûlée. The creme brûlée was okay. It wasn't too sweet but also tasted as if it had sat out for a while although the sugared top was freshly crisp. My husband loved his Nutella crepe though as he had a craving for one all day. I did enjoy the crepe although I prefer savory ones to sweet crepes. As soon as we placed our orders, the treats came out quite quickly. We easily found seating at their open picnic tables and bar tops. Plenty of options! This chain in San Diego is a popular spot for my daughter and I. We love the variety of pastries Parfait Paris has and the creative element of seasonal pastries. We have visited the Coronado and UTC mall locations and they are all tasty when it comes to pastries. That being said the drinks are ok and the service can be hit or miss because of how busy these small stalls/store front locations can be. I noticed that they don't take up a lot of real estate but they pack a lot of options in a delicious glass case. They have macaroons, cakes, pastries, and drinks. Ambiance here is great as it is in the Sky Deck Food Hall Drinks are OK Pastries are awesome and on par with the other locations. Hot tip is bring your own water to help with all the sweets. After taking a bite, it definitely did not taste "made that morning" quality. The hazelnuts were on the softer side, and the mousse inside and piped on the outside had that "sitting out" texture. Brilliantly made, the top is crunchy like knafeh and soft on the inside. This pastry is a take on the popular trending Dubai chocolate bar and they did a good job of turning it into a pastry. Beautifully designed cakes and desserts. I opted only for a iced white chocolate mocha. The drink is very smooth and more balanced in flavor than most cafes that offer this drink. This is my first visit to the Sky Deck with my friend. I was so blown away by the amazing atmosphere and was instantly drawn to Le Parfait Paris. The desserts are so beautifully displayed and there is such a lovely variety to choose from. We were helped by Demarco (hope I spelled that right) who provided the most friendly service. He truly made our first visit to this eatery a great experience and was so helpful in answering our questions and just providing the best service. This was my second time here, and both visits were disappointing. I ordered a hazelnut affogato. I was charged and then told I couldn't have it with hazelnut. For the price point was just not worth it. All it ended up being was nothing more than ice cream with shots of espresso in a paper cup--for $12. Definitely not worth it. The staff seemed more focused on the music they were playing than on customer service. It would be helpful if they were more knowledgeable about the menu or if the place had a picture menu so customers know what they're ordering. Overall, an underwhelming experience. Pretty French patisserie stand located inside Sky Deck, the vast majority of PP's goods are baked/created/composed off-site (so what you see in the display is what you get!) *except* crepes which are freshly made to order. Mace (yes, like the spray :) at the counter was so sweet and patient as my girlfriends and I oohed and aahed over what to try, and even offered to replace my Sucre Citron Crepe if I didn't like it - talk about awesome service! As it turns out, I probably should've taken Mace up on her offer, as my crepe was a bit too plain for me - I could've used much more lemony punch, perhaps through the addition of candied lemon rinds (hint to management ;)... I've been to the liberty station location several times and liked it and mostly liked the stuff here...I got a New York style vanilla cream filled croissant and six macarons (pistachio, vanilla, salted caramel, s'more, Oreo, and passion fruit something). My daughter loved the passion fruit and s'more macarons so much she demanded we save the Oreo one for her. I got a pistachio and the salted caramel. The caramel was the superior one by far. When my daughter ate the Oreo macaron she said it "tasted weird" and was "like sand". I chased her and made her let me test it to make sure it was ok and it was not spoiled or anything but it was gritty like eating sand. Maybe they used charcoal for color?? But still, no one likes eating sand. We tossed it in the trash. The croissant was very pretty and the lamination looked beautiful, but I did not like the texture of the vanilla cream filling. It tasted strange like they used condensed milk and I was told it would keep overnight without refrigeration. I liked the croissant part but scooped out the filling for my kid who enjoyed it. So yeah....not sure what they are doing for some of their ingredients but definitely some misses in my opinion. read more

This is a little food stand in the center of a shopping area, indoors, second floor. I came here due to the good reviews. I bought a macron and a little cake, both of which I enjoyed quite a lot. Presentation was good, there was some seating available around the food stand, and I sat and ate. Was not given a napkin though and by the time I was done my fingers were quite sticky. There is a restroom - I had to ask a security guy where it was and he gave me great instructions. There are a number of other establishments in this space, and a high-end grocery store on the first floor. I wouldn't mind stopping in again. Probably earlier in the day is better? I was a little bit disappointed by the way Fruitella crepe and Hot chocolate was done. Crepe was supposed to have Nutella in it which was not spread evenly and was a poor job done on the way it was fully made. The hot chocolate came with burnt marshmallow and the burnt taste was all over the hot chocolate. Given the price of it, I would not go back again. read more
