The coffee is self serve which was nice and they just give you a mug after you pay. So unlimited refills! Yes! Our food was brought over by our nice waiter which made sure we were taken care of so that was nice. The pancakes were very fluffy and light and were topped off with banana slices. The sausage on a side plate was super tasty. I could taste the pepper and rosemary seasoning and it was very juicy. The coffee was very good and I served myself another hot cup! I would definitely come back!

I have been a pulp lover for years. I am allergic to dairy so I have always removed or swapped out…read moreany dairy ingredients with little to no issue. In this most recent online order I (as instructed) placed my allergy restrictions and modification in the special instructions area because I was informed that allergy substitutions are not add-ins, so there is no additional charge. For my specific order I removed the Bananas and substituted blueberries for orange sherbet and for my children I substituted the pineapple sorbet for yogurt in one and oat milk/extra banana for yogurt in the other. These are substitutions that I have made over 20 times because we go to a pulp anytime we are near a location and have the time. On this particular visit we walked into an empty store at the estimated pickup time and saw workers that we had never seen at the store. I asked if they were working on an order for Ellen West and (as I always do) asked if they were able to see the allergy modifications and they stated yes. They continued to work on the order and I asked if I could also purchase a gift card when they got a chance. I could tell there was a little frustration but I assumed it was because they were running behind. They explained that they did not know how to sell the gift cards because the system had changed and that they would have to look up the instructions. I said that was fine and waited patiently. Once our smoothies were done I realized that one of the smoothies was supposed to be a double order and somehow I only ordered 1. There was no one in line or in the store so I asked for another of that same smoothie. When I went to pay for it there was an up charge. When I asked why she explained that I had pineapple sorbet in the smoothie. When I explained that it was a substitute for the yogurt, she rudely stated that there is an up charge for the pineapple sorbet and with irritation stated that she should have charged me for all of the modifications. I explained that I had spoken to a manager previously and was told that there were no up charges for swapping ingredients due to an allergies . She stated that she was the owner and there was an up charge. I explained that I have ordered from many locations and never had this issue. She asked where and I told her the locations throughout the Columbus Metropolitan area and in Akron, Ohio. Her response was that she would ask corporate. I paid but I will not return to the Gahanna, Ohio Pulp location. I have recommended Pulp to many people. We love Pulp and we appreciate that they are able to accommodate my allergy and my children's lactose intolerance, however she and her partner seemed to have some sort of animosity towards either me or people with allergies in general. I was in a great mood when I entered, lead with a smile, ordered almost $50 worth of smoothies, bought a gift card, and went ahead and paid the up charge. I left very irritated and upset.
