Very easy ordering, lots of variety on the menu. Attentive staff. I personally prefer my smoothies with less sugar and more vitamins. There is a great variety and you can get a 900 calorie smoothie if you like. Lots of add-ins available as well i.e. protein etc. I also liked that they had a seasonal hurricane option during Mardi gras season. I'll be interested to try that. Eeeeek! This experience is painful to relive, even as a Yelp review. My friend and I stopped by when we were in the area and wanted a somewhat healthy snack. We walked in, got in line, and grabbed a menu. From that point at least ten minutes passed before any of the staff recognized us or the two people in front of us. I just stood there in awe. I almost left but then it got comical. Even when it was our time to order, there was no "hello" or "sorry for the wait." We each got a smoothie, mine was the acai berry blast and I will say that they are giant and really good. This is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. As we were waiting for our smoothies to be made, a giant group of guys walked in and went behind the counter and backroom. It was really odd. Where were they as we waited ten minutes to order? I have traveled by Tropical Smoothie Cafe many times. I finally stopped in to try it when I found out they had food options in addition to smoothies. I tried the chipotle chicken flatbread. It was decent. They also offer wraps, sandwiches, and quesadillas. The quesadillas looked really good. I may have to try one of those sometime. I also got the peanut butter cup smoothie. I wasn't really a fan of this one. I am used to some great protein smoothies from Grove City so this one let me down a bit. I think I would have been better off on getting a fruitier flavor. They also offer a rewards program that looks pretty easy to sign up for. I like that they have food options. read more

Not worth the price. There are no size options. If I'm paying $6 for a smoothie I'm expecting a very tasty treat. Did not get that. I got a blueberry bliz and a peanut butter cup smoothie. Neither one was good. It's all ice no ingredients. I ended up adding some banana and yogurt to mine when I got home to make to it drinkable,but I shouldn't have to at this price point. They can be busy at times, but the smoothies are great. My sons love the smoothies here! My only concern, and this is a big one, I'm 100% positive these employees are experiencing workplace abuse. In the 15+ times my wife and I shopped here, we have witnessed several times the manager (older man) yelling at or scolding their young employees. This happened on Sunday, March 6, 2022. My family (me+wife+two boys under 11) witness first hand this manager yelling at one of his clearly teenage girl employees. It shocked EVERYONE in the store, so much so that we all practically went silent for a few seconds. I'm not interested in being contacted to atone for our experience; however, please talk to your employees about their experience with management here. It reeks of toxicity. Just a reminder, workplace abuse is illegal and it is very important that every business store owner protects the safety of their employees. Please do better. read more

Their smoothies were pretty good but unfortunately the food didn't meet my expectations as they didn't have many vegan/vegetarian protein options and if they did they were more towards the imitation meat side which doesn't cater towards those who have been vegetarian or vegan their entire life. low key trashy place! Walk in and they are busy, but that is no excuse for dirty counters and disrespectful employees. I wait in line and get to the front and wait my turn and this woman cuts me in line, and I see the woman at the counter saw this and she proceeds to take her order. I speak up and say I was next in line, and the employee told me to "WAIT QUIETLY"! I'm sorry that was the wrong answer TINKER BELL! My advice go to smoothie king. Ordered 2 smoothies online, paid for them walked in to pick up and no one looked up to acknowledge I was standing at register. I was the only one in store. Okay so I had a receipt from the New Albany Tropical Smoothie where if I completed a survey I could get a smoothie for $1.99 with purchase. I was near this tropical smoothie so I decided to stop by assuming my code would be honored here as well. The employees tried to help and didn't know how to enter the code so they asked the manager. The manager tries then all of a sudden shows me one of this locations receipts saying they don't honor those types of codes at this Tropical Smoothie and I had to go back where I came from. I decide to just get a wrap. Why when I got my receipt the same questionnaire was at the bottom of the receipt?? If you don't honor that questionnaire why is it on my receipt?? He was so rude and lying right to my face. And it says it is accepted at any location. Whoever the manger was today 3/16/2022 at 5pm needs to be fired. This was out first time ordering from them. They were pretty busy on a Saturday. We ordered bowls but they were underwhelming. There was about a spoonful of rice in each bowl. It was mostly just lettuce. There was sauce that was included but we had no idea of the flavor or which bowl it was for. One tasted more like a barbecue sauce and neither of us wanted that flavor on our bowls. The other sauce was better, a bit more spicy so we shared it. My smoothie was quite watered down. With all of the ingredients I would have thought one of them would have stood out but, it didn't. I order smoothies all the time from other places. This was not a real smoothie to me. I went to this location today and ordered a smoothie and a flatbread. I got my flatbread about 5 mins later and told the employee I was still waiting on my smoothie. as usual there were only teenagers in the establishment and NO supervision or manager. People were coming in ordering and getting their food within 5-10 minutes by this time I had been waiting about 20 mins so I asked if my smoothie was almost ready the male employee said yes it's up next, after about 5 more smoothies were made and everyone who had came in after me were gone I said ok now what's the hold up? He began to become agitated and tell me to come behind here and make it myself bitch! He began to yell and slam things and another employee had to pull him to the back. While he was still calling me out my name. I called the owner who didn't seem like he cared much at all. I will be calling corporate on Monday and don't recommend you buy from this location!
