Somehow I've never been in here; too many other options nearby, I guess. Today, with no service after seating at my first option, I came here to get something quick for lunch. There was a line but it moved along. Service was great from several people behind the counter. I went with a pick two, the curry soup and a bbq brisket sandwich. Both servings were bigger than I expected. Plus there was a roll and a chocolate-covered strawberry. The soup was great: lots of meat and veggies, good curry flavor with a hint of heat. The sandwich was on good bread, tender flavorful meat, pickles and other toppings worked in but it held together well and tasted great. The roll and strawberry could have been generic but were pretty darn good too. Fountain drinks, teas I think too, plus flavored syrups. Quick, good, reasonably priced. One of my absolute favorite guilt-free spots! I LOVE this place. It is my go-to option. So much better than Panera but has the same Panera concept. They have soup, salads, and sandwiches. You can do a you-pick-two. A piece of bread and chocolate covered strawberry comes with your meal. This place is fast and quick. You choose what you want and then pay. The food comes right out. My absolute favorite thing is the chipotle chicken salad. They have other salads too which are all good. Every time I recommend this salad to someone, they start ordering it regularly. The sandwiches are decent. I usually go for the honey bacon or turkey bacon avocado. They have either a wheat or white bread and the sandwiches can be panini style or club. I prefer the panini. The soups are good. I like the lobster bisque and clam chowder. I haven't tried to many because it always is hot when I go and I'm not in the mood for soup. read more

Cafe Zupas is my favorite soup and salad shop. I regularly visit the Easton location on my work days. My latest visit was to grab dinner after getting drinks at a nearby bar. There was no line when I entered and I was greeted by the worker. I ordered the mangoberry salad for myself. This is my usual order. I also ordered a brisket sandwich for my dad. The salad was delicious, as usual. The lettuce and fruit toppings were fresh. The salad dressing is my favorite. It is very sweet and pairs well with the ingredients. Great soup. Deep rich flavors with nice lasting after taste. When I walked in I just asked each staff person what is your favorite soup. Surprisedly, they all agreed on a favorite. It was two soups and one staff told me I can mix the two. I said really... Let's do it. Then they said I get a free chocolate covered strawberry however they were out and they would give me a chocolate covered Oreo. Winner winner chicken dinner in my book. I will only tell you one soup if the mix and it was lobster bisque. The other you will have to go and find out for yourself. I arrived late and was afraid that I wouldn't get good service and they would tell me they are closing in 30 minutes. Well they didn't . They allowed me to enjoy the food and the service. Loved it. Cafe Zupas has the freshest ingredients. I ordered the you pick 2 for $12.50. Half of a California Cobb salad that was dressed perfectly and had tons of fresh ingredients. Also the honey bacon club comes as a full sandwich with the you pick two. This sandwich melts in your mouth. The honey mustard, crunchy bacon, on fresh pressed bread round this sandwich out. Today was the perfect day to warm up with hot soup. My husband and I both ordered large bowls of the lobster bisque. It was a bisque but I would call it a red pepper bisque. Large crunchy chunks of red pepper and we think onion.absolutely no lobster - not even lobster flavor. Very disappointing and false advertising. It wasn't cheap either. Really great deal for the pick two! My husband and I split a pick two with the hot Turkey avocado sandwich and a half salad Nuts about berries. The salad was quite big, and the sandwich was somewhat small, but it was plenty of food. Our daughter got the grilled cheese and fruit cup. Out of the pure generosity of her heart, employee Courtney offered to cover the difference from her own paycheck. My husband introduced me to Café Zupas a couple months ago since he was getting it so much for lunch during the work week. I gave it a shot and tried it one day and my first sandwich was the steak and cheese with soup. It was so yummy. I couldn't believe a soup and sandwich would fill me up so fast. I couldn't even get to the best part of it all which is the chocolate covered strawberry. From then on I tried more items on the menu like the salads, bowls, etc. I need variety, don't like to just eat one favorite item constantly. Trying that salad made me realize I should stick to the sandwiches on the menu and of course with a side of soup. If you want a light and filling lunch or dinner looked no further than Café Zupas. I've been coming here often since it opened a few years ago and when my sister came in to town for the long weekend I knew I had to take her there for lunch. They have a pick two combo where you get a soup, full Sandwich, or salad (it's a great deal!) and I went with the Honey Bacon Club sandwich and the BBQ Chicken Salad, it also comes with a bread roll and a chocolate covered strawberry. The portions of the combo are pretty good as well, compared to their competitors in my opinion especially their salad sizes! The BBQ chicken was good, the veggies were fresh which was great. The sandwich was really good as well, but a little too sweet. Next time I go I'm going to change up on my sandwich. Cafe Zupas has never been a favorite of mine and after a few visits, I feel comfortable making this review. I'll preface this by saying it might just be me and if you're on the fence, give it a go. However, all the items I've had here have been on the saltine side of flavorless. The soups always come out with almost no flavor and need at least salt to bring the flavors out. The textures also seem off at times, especially the cauliflower soup which was mealy and the chicken noodle which was oily. As for the sandwiches, I've had a few different ones and they are all just okay. Pair this with the prices and it's a nonstarter for me, personally. I will say the restaurant is always clean and the employees are nice and helpful, especially with samples. read more

It comes with a baguette roll and a chocolate dipped strawberry all for $9.99. What a steal! Although their salad options looked amazing, I opted for the create your own salad. They have soooo many options of toppings for you to choose from for your salad. It's hard to choose. To pair with my salad I got the turkey bacon avocado. It does not seem like a lot of food, but I was full and was not able to finish my salad. I have also tried their tomato soup and it was delicious. A little heavier on the cheesey thick side, but still good. Overall, I have been here a few times and will continue to go! I truly found a place here that I love, unexpectedly! Looking at the outside, I didn't see much that would draw me in. Soup, salad, sandwiches? Did someone say Panera? It doesn't feel like a Panera when you walk in though. I really like the look and feel of a Panera in that it feels like more like a coffee shop or café. Café Zupas feels like more like what it is: a fast casual soup, salad, and sandwich shop. Though I didn't seek it out, I didn't notice coffee or those types of drinks on the menu, so it's more of a lunch spot, breakfast is not the intended meal here from all I could tell. I love all of the options! I could come here so many times and not get the exact same meal. Now, I don't usually need all of those options once I get comfortable with a place and I find what I like, but it's nice to know the first few times that I can explore the menu and find that perfect (to me) dish. I don't think they're trying anything fancy here. Sure, there are unexpected unique touches, such as the "Choose 2" meals coming with a dinner roll and chocolate-covered strawberry. But I think one of their goals is transparency in what they are and what they have, evidenced by the window-view through the walk-in refrigerator just behind the cashier and below the giant menu board. You can opt for a soup or a salad or a sandwich or even a protein bowl. The prices are reasonable. Or could pay a bit more and opt for the "Choose 2" which I found to be the better value and the closer I could get to trying more on the menu. Choosing 2 menu items is truly what it sounds like! $9.99 gets you two items that I listed above. Since I ordered a soup and a vegetarian sandwich (tofu with my veggies, nice touch!), I ate my entire meal. The coworker I went with ordered a salad and a protein bowl, neither of us understanding that "Choose 2" meant full sized menu items. So if you can't handle both items, you might just take one to go and have lunch for tomorrow! I am not sure if I'll be a regular, but I am already looking forward to going back and getting that veggie sandwich again.
