Grilled salmon $29.95
Ellen M.

Delicious food and drinks. I always feel healthy when I dine here. Love their seasonal menus too. My favorite is the Asian wild caught shrimp, though pricey for lunch at $23.

Mediterranean hummus.

I have been to True Food Kitchen in two other states, this one in Columbus continued the great experiences. We had the hummus starter which was super tasty. I had the seasonal pizza and want to learn to make the vegan lemon ricotta at home. We had a very nice and attentive server, and would definitely be back for future nice dinners.

Chicken wrap and asian salad

We were shopping closeby and decided to cone here for lunch. Large dining room with comfortable booths or tables, lots of bar seating. Not a huge menu, but we all were happy with our choices. I had a quinoa bowl and my friend had a chicken wrap and soup. It was good choice if you are looking for a healthy meal. It was quite pricey with our lunch bill being $60 with no alcohol drinks.

Meatloaf

Pretty darn good! The only weirdness was the hostess Evening on a weeknight -do you have reservations? No.... Oh. I can make it work. Table directly in front of the door We felt like we were burdening her The restaurant was not even half full ‍ Nice variety on the menu of typical stuff. We all enjoyed our food, the meatloaf was a hit. Even with the missing mashed potato Pesto pasta yummmm Drinks were creative and tasty too!

Edamame Dumplings

A friend and I only had an hour or so to meet up but wanted good food that was healthy and delicious! True Food never disappoints! We sat at the bar and had top notch service! We started with cocktails - Crime of Passion was delish and the elderberry rhubarb foam was so silky smooth. Edamame dumplings were light and not too heavy for an appetizer. The broth they're served in was really flavorful and added a lot to the dish. Their teriyaki bowl is always delicious especially with the pickled mushrooms!

Burger and salad

Love the burger here! I've gotten it twice now! The vibe is nice too! The service has been pretty good when I've gone as well. I get a little sad that they don't have regular fries but the salad is pretty tasty. I wouldn't mind fries tho I took a friend here recently and they loved it too.

Tuna Poke Bowl

We ordered for delivery and got an assortment of things. Everyone really liked their salads and one person liked the Nashville chicken sandwich they got. The salmon that came with the salads/salmon entree was also delicious. We always get the edamame dumplings as a starter as they're our all time favorite! Unfortunately I got the tuna poke bowl and the tuna tasted really fishy (more so than normal, I always eat tuna sushi) so I didn't eat it. I don't know if it was actually bad or not but it was too fishy to eat.

Met some good friends here for brunch last Saturday. We were able to make a reservation on Open Table for the three of us. The dining room was bright and clean and it has an open concept kitchen where you can see the food being assembled and cooked. The server was prompt and we ordered our beverages. I got the iced lavender matcha latte. For my main, I got the Chinese Chicken Salad. All the food here is fresh and humanely sourced and therefore a little pricier although in my opinion it was worth it. Vegetables were absolutely delicious and the chicken in my salad was yummy as well. If you're moving into the new year with a goal of clean eating, this is your spot.

We went to True Food Kitchen for NYE dinner and it was the best idea! After a week of holiday foods, sweets, and drinks -- having a place to go that was clean eating was great. Our server was very kind and helpful. She even exchanged the kids drinks after the kids realized the fizzy water was not kid-approved (not sweet). It got pretty busy after 6p, so it was a little understandable that she got busy but there were spurts of time that seemed extremely long and we had to wait. The overall restaurant setting is really nice! The tables are spread out, so you don't feel like you're encroaching on someone's meal. Our kids did great, although they got a little crazy at points. The setting at True is a little more refined so not a great place for kids, but totally doable. If you're hungry, I would suggest going elsewhere. The portions are appropriately sized for servings size - not for the price. For example, the guac and hummus dip comes with approx 14 chips. There's way more dip, so if you ask for more chips, they will bring you a tiny plate with approx 7-14 chips. We eventually asked for 2 more servings then gave up. (Definitely not like a Mexican restaurant!). Another example is the kids meals had more food than the entrees. The cheese pizza was a 11" and the teriyaki bowl was jam packed with ingredients. The tuna bowl was smaller. Overall, it's REALLY tasty food, the setting is nice and clean, and it's a great place to go. But not if you're really hungry or have a large appetite.

Tried the squash pie and the cookie al mode. The squash pie I think was old because I have had this before and everything about the one at this location was off. I also couldn't eat the crust at all because it was rock hard. The cookie would have been better if warmed but it was pretty basic. The place was almost empty when we stopped but the space is large and there is a lot of natural lighting. There is a parking garage across the way or you can pay for parking right outside the building.

Quinoa bowl with chicken

Went for brunch this weekend. Service was great & food was amazing! We ordered the guacamole & pita chips for starter. For our lunch the Avocado toast & Quinoa bowl with chicken. They don't sell soda pop so a juice refresher, alcoholic drink or water are your only choices. We will return soon, I want to try the spaghetti squash next!

Grass-Fed Burger

Grass-fed burger was amazing! My wife had the Chinese Chicken Salad and said it was blah... Place is cool, service is good, bit pricey, will go back

Classic chicken sandwich

What a perfect lunch! Went in for the first time yesterday and loved every minute of our lunch. Our hostess was friendly and she sat us in Camden's section. He is such a great server! Super friendly, great conversation, great food recommendations. It was honestly so nice to know how much he loves his job and is valued. More businesses need to take care of their staff like this!! The space is bright and clean. It got super busy while we were there, so it was a bit loud but zero negatives really. It was nice to see a business so busy and everyone still smiling. This isn't fast food so it takes a bit longer to prepare. This is healthy, fresh, house-made, from-scratch food and it's worth the price and the wait. Camden suggested the ancient grains bowl with salmon and it was a favorite of the table. So many vegetarian options, too. SO good! The salmon was cooked just like it was asked for, too, which was appreciated. Loved my grilled chicken wrap and (especially) loved the simple salad's vinaigrette dressing. The pineapple spritzer was a favorite, too (liked it a bit better than the grapefruit but both were great). Might not get the classic chicken sandwich next time because the two chicken pieces weren't very big. Definitely not better than the grilled chicken wrap or the grains bowl. Still good but I suspect better alternatives on their big menu. Highly recommended for a great lunch if you're in the Easton area. They have the cutest covered/heated patio, too! Can't wait to come back.

Spring menu.... Which is odd, as it is summer.

Ask the Community - True Food Kitchen

Is the patio dog friendly?

Yes, I believe so but call to be sure

If we have a picky eater with us, can they make a plain cheese and red sauce pizza?

yes for sure. they do it for my daughter

Does True Food Kitchen serve coffee drinks or matcha lattes?

To my knowledge they do not offer an extensive menu of coffee drinks. They do have a few special teas. They mainly concentrate on hand made cocktails and craft beers.

Really well done. For dinner went with the steak and enchilada. Was a bit worried because they didn't ask for steak temp but wow, wow, wow great dish! Steak was fantastic and what a great combo with that cheesy enchilada. Had to get a cookie from what I over heard from others. Couldn't decide between praline peanut butter or the chocolate chip so got both, why not, I'm here a couple nights. Which one was better? Both were awesome, guess you will have to get both to decide.

The restaurant was very nice and huge with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I decided on their ricotta banana pancakes with a side of sausage and coffee. The coffee is self serve which was nice and they just give you a mug after you pay. So unlimited refills! Yes! Our food was brought over by our nice waiter which made sure we were taken care of so that was nice. The pancakes were very fluffy and light and were topped off with banana slices. The sausage on a side plate was super tasty. I could taste the pepper and rosemary seasoning and it was very juicy. The coffee was very good and I served myself another hot cup! I would definitely come back!

Our server Ava greeted us and took our drink orders. I got the Brunch Sangria. So good. Actually 3 of us got one. Things were moving along. She came back around we put our order in. That was probably around 12:20. Making great time. I got a side salad. A friend got the Wedge. That came out in good timing. It was pretty good. This is when things went left. Around 1:30pm.... The entrees came out. I got the chicken potstickers. The temp on them was ok. But the other meals were cold. Yall... their meals were inedible. We waited all that time for their food to be cold. Not only that there was no check-in being done from our server. Felt kind of neglected. The manager came over to apologize after it was asked if they could have food that was hot. He seemed sorry. But it kind of put a damper on the meal. This is not a cheap place. Expectations are high. They were busy. Totally understand. However to serve cold food is not cool at all. Like I said I ate my potstickers. They were delicious. Could have been a hotter temperature for sure. But it is what it is. Will I go back? Yes. Definitely with the hope of better.
