I have been to True Food Kitchen in two other states, this one in Columbus continued the great experiences. We had the hummus starter which was super tasty. I had the seasonal pizza and want to learn to make the vegan lemon ricotta at home. We had a very nice and attentive server, and would definitely be back for future nice dinners.

Grass-fed burger was amazing! My wife had the Chinese Chicken Salad and said it was blah... Place is cool, service is good, bit pricey, will go back

We were shopping closeby and decided to cone here for lunch. Large dining room with comfortable booths or tables, lots of bar seating. Not a huge menu, but we all were happy with our choices. I had a quinoa bowl and my friend had a chicken wrap and soup. It was good choice if you are looking for a healthy meal. It was quite pricey with our lunch bill being $60 with no alcohol drinks.

Pretty darn good! The only weirdness was the hostess Evening on a weeknight -do you have reservations? No.... Oh. I can make it work. Table directly in front of the door We felt like we were burdening her The restaurant was not even half full ‍ Nice variety on the menu of typical stuff. We all enjoyed our food, the meatloaf was a hit. Even with the missing mashed potato Pesto pasta yummmm Drinks were creative and tasty too!

A friend and I only had an hour or so to meet up but wanted good food that was healthy and delicious! True Food never disappoints! We sat at the bar and had top notch service! We started with cocktails - Crime of Passion was delish and the elderberry rhubarb foam was so silky smooth. Edamame dumplings were light and not too heavy for an appetizer. The broth they're served in was really flavorful and added a lot to the dish. Their teriyaki bowl is always delicious especially with the pickled mushrooms!

Love the burger here! I've gotten it twice now! The vibe is nice too! The service has been pretty good when I've gone as well. I get a little sad that they don't have regular fries but the salad is pretty tasty. I wouldn't mind fries tho I took a friend here recently and they loved it too.

We ordered for delivery and got an assortment of things. Everyone really liked their salads and one person liked the Nashville chicken sandwich they got. The salmon that came with the salads/salmon entree was also delicious. We always get the edamame dumplings as a starter as they're our all time favorite! Unfortunately I got the tuna poke bowl and the tuna tasted really fishy (more so than normal, I always eat tuna sushi) so I didn't eat it. I don't know if it was actually bad or not but it was too fishy to eat.

Met some good friends here for brunch last Saturday. We were able to make a reservation on Open Table for the three of us. The dining room was bright and clean and it has an open concept kitchen where you can see the food being assembled and cooked. The server was prompt and we ordered our beverages. I got the iced lavender matcha latte. For my main, I got the Chinese Chicken Salad. All the food here is fresh and humanely sourced and therefore a little pricier although in my opinion it was worth it. Vegetables were absolutely delicious and the chicken in my salad was yummy as well. If you're moving into the new year with a goal of clean eating, this is your spot.

We went to True Food Kitchen for NYE dinner and it was the best idea! After a week of holiday foods, sweets, and drinks -- having a place to go that was clean eating was great. Our server was very kind and helpful. She even exchanged the kids drinks after the kids realized the fizzy water was not kid-approved (not sweet). It got pretty busy after 6p, so it was a little understandable that she got busy but there were spurts of time that seemed extremely long and we had to wait. The overall restaurant setting is really nice! The tables are spread out, so you don't feel like you're encroaching on someone's meal. Our kids did great, although they got a little crazy at points. The setting at True is a little more refined so not a great place for kids, but totally doable. If you're hungry, I would suggest going elsewhere. The portions are appropriately sized for servings size - not for the price. For example, the guac and hummus dip comes with approx 14 chips. There's way more dip, so if you ask for more chips, they will bring you a tiny plate with approx 7-14 chips. We eventually asked for 2 more servings then gave up. (Definitely not like a Mexican restaurant!). Another example is the kids meals had more food than the entrees. The cheese pizza was a 11" and the teriyaki bowl was jam packed with ingredients. The tuna bowl was smaller. Overall, it's REALLY tasty food, the setting is nice and clean, and it's a great place to go. But not if you're really hungry or have a large appetite.

Tried the squash pie and the cookie al mode. The squash pie I think was old because I have had this before and everything about the one at this location was off. I also couldn't eat the crust at all because it was rock hard. The cookie would have been better if warmed but it was pretty basic. The place was almost empty when we stopped but the space is large and there is a lot of natural lighting. There is a parking garage across the way or you can pay for parking right outside the building.

Went for brunch this weekend. Service was great & food was amazing! We ordered the guacamole & pita chips for starter. For our lunch the Avocado toast & Quinoa bowl with chicken. They don't sell soda pop so a juice refresher, alcoholic drink or water are your only choices. We will return soon, I want to try the spaghetti squash next!

Service was great the food was fine. Not really worth the price. When we walked in a friend said the place reminded him of Hello Fresh.

Ask the Community - True Food Kitchen

    Is the patio dog friendly?

Yes, I believe so but call to be sure

If we have a picky eater with us, can they make a plain cheese and red sauce pizza?

yes for sure. they do it for my daughter

Does True Food Kitchen serve coffee drinks or matcha lattes?

To my knowledge they do not offer an extensive menu of coffee drinks. They do have a few special teas. They mainly concentrate on hand made cocktails and craft beers.

There were a lot of bodies waiting in the small area near the host desk and it was a little chaotic. Our server kept trying to bring us the wrong bottle of wine (we ordered a bottle of French bubbly and she kept coming back with a Riesling) so I am not sure if it was a disconnect or what. Eventually we received the correct bottle after taking the toast tab and pointing to the appropriate one on the POS. Our group enjoyed some small plates; the ceviche and the beet salad and hummus were all lovely. However, I ordered the kind of already overpriced lobster scramble. The portion was CRAZY. What I received was a 1.5" piece of lobster meat on top of what seemed to be less than one eggs' worth of pre blended egg. There was still liquid egg that hadn't been cooked in the pan and it was accompanied by three wedges of a Roma tomato with a handful of dressed arugula. For $29. I would hope at that price point, I would at least get 2 eggs worth. WILD. All in all, enjoyable experience but Cameron Mitchell should probably revise some of the portion sizes/menu items. And please, please, nobody order the lobster scramble and experience the same fate that I did.

They didn't look too bummed when a few of our original group of 15 couldn't make it because of the horrible weather. They didn't get any orders wrong, even checking a couple of them to make sure they got them right. The food came out sooner than we expected. They split the bill happily and with ease, without mistakes. Even though they added an automatic 18% gratuity because our group was larger than six, I felt the service was worth a few extra bucks, and I tipped some additional. Great, all y'all. The food was very good. Great? Not quite. Very good, though. I had the Curry Chicken. It was tasty, with delicious chicken chunks and yummy French bread to soak up the soup. Could have used a fork and knife because they impolitely large, but yum. The onions were varied, with some strident and some smooth. I prefer smooth in curries. And they were kind of big, too. As were the potatoes. Big. Nevertheless: get that. And a knife and fork. My wife got Rice with Grilled Beef and Egg. I think she won, except for the daikon. I don't understand daikon, which doesn't seem like food to me, which is why I didn't order it - though I would have gotten it with tofu. But the beef was perfectly spiced and perfectly done, and the rice was good. A bit more fat and gristle than she prefers, but this IS a Vietnamese restaurant. And the portion was plenty big enough that sorting these annoyances out didn't short her meal in any way - plenty left for lunch next day. Get that. We got Fried Egg Rolls as an appetizer. Very tasty, flaky, with good sauce accompaniments. The red one is reported by my wife to be hot, though I didn't think so. The clear one is vaguely, pleasantly sweet. Get that. I'm going to try to talk her into the steamed variety next time, though, which is my preference and raved about at the other end of the table. The table got saki for dessert. It wasn't outstanding. Some wished it had come out hot, but I like cool saki better. Each to their own. I got a mango bobo, which was fine. It had mango chunks along with the requisite mysterious yummy spheres. It also had a lot of ice, which hampered chasing down any goodies with either the straw or the spoon. I gave up, particularly because the ice watered it down to a disrespectful level after several minutes. The store is very pretty and comfortable. The staff seems to like each other a lot, and worked together well, joshing lightly. We didn't check out the bathrooms. Parking is right across the street. Go there.

We ordered the APPLEWOOD SMOKED BACON PIZZA, CANDIED BACON BLT, and the EGGS ANY WAY. My friends enjoyed both the pizza and BLT and said they would order again. Eggs any way feels misleading as I ordered scrambled egg whites and they came back and said they don't have egg whites and if normal eggs that have milk mixed in are okay instead. I am confused if they can make fried eggs why they can't separate the yolks for egg whites? For a restaurant at this price point and prestige, I was disappointed and will defer me from going there for brunch in the future. Instead I got three sides - applewood bacon, potatoes and oven roasted vegetables. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed with the potatoes and oven roasted vegetables. The potatoes had a sauce on them that felt heavy and was unexpected - I wouldn't order them again (my friends who also had them with the bacon BLT said the same and in the future would ask for a different side) and the oven veggies were a bit saucy and tangy.
