Stopped by Easton's Brassica. I got there about ten minutes before they opened. They have an outside patio so I sat there to wait for it to open. The manager must of saw me and she opened the shop up a little before 11 for me. I told her I didn't mind waiting but she insisted. That is excellent customer service right there. Obviously didn't have any delay or wait in front of me i ordered a bowl with chicken, rice, greens, cauliflower, eggplant hummus pickles. It was so delicious. I grabbed a carton of hummus to go from their grab and go area and asked for a side of carrots to eat later. I feel my meal was enough for two and a great value. Everything was fresh and delicious. A noisier location prominently in the Easton Mall. The food is still on point. I had the chicken this time and it was tender and moist. The toppings were excellent with marinated eggplant (my favorite), carrot salad and beets. One thing I will note is that the seating is limited so good luck finding a place to chow down. I went at 3 pm (I was still on PST) so I was able to find seats. It is very noisy and somewhat hard to hear the staff when they ask you what you want. We have only been a couples times however since we don't live in the area, we specifically seek out Brassica because it is one of our favorites. They are always busy however the line moves quickly since this is a build to order style restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We order salads and enjoy the hummus, crispy onions, falafel, chicken, and all of the pickled options. The cauliflower is delicious. I had a beef brisket pita sandwich, and my wife went with a felafel pita. First off, these pitas are sooooo good. It's hard to explain something this simple, but they were kind of like fresh bread crossed with proper pizza dough. The beef was also very good, and we enjoyed lots of the various toppings. I think a key to this place is to avoid the temptation of adding too many ingredients because they all look good but could create a muddled mess if overdone. The fries were also quite good. The service both times we gone has been slow. Seems like they don't have enough people at the assembly line and the fries came 5 mins or more later both times. It's also pretty pricey and the sandwiches, while pretty delicious, are pretty small. Brassica is an elevated, nuanced version of Cava (if you've ever been). If it were closer to me, I'd eat here constantly! Ordered the salad with the shawarma inspired chicken, all the picked sides, the roasted carrots, with special sauce, and a minty lemonade and tahini chocolate chip cookie. Salad: 9.5/10 - delicate flavors, fresh. Would have liked the hummus to have more body, it was pretty plain, but loved the ingredients. The roasted carrots were lovely (sumac? curry?) but would have been tastier warm. Minty pink lemonade: 9/10 - well balanced, but with how pricy the bill was, might be something to order every once in a while. Cookie: 7/10 - I was expected more tahini flavor! I am a tahini lover, really think they needed more of it. A very good cookie, but if I were to choose between spending money on the lemonade or the cookie, I'd choose the lemonade.
