Hot dog !

We were going to eat outside. Decided to leave...staff seemed nice. The brunch menu looks pretty good. Beer prices seem to be okay. I just don't like dogs standing and sitting on the table I may eat off of !!

Trolley Stop is a total vibe for weekend brunch. Not only do they have adorable (and extensive) patio seating - but they also have a Bloody Mary & Mimosa Bar with every topping you could ever imagine. They weren't terribly busy around noon on a Saturday morning - and it was quick and easy for our group of four to walk in and find a table outside. The other three members of my party went with a breakfast dish - but once I saw the Black Bean burger on the menu, I knew that was the dish for me. I opted for a side of their crispy potatoes (with a small upcharge) to really lean into the brunch theme, and that was definitely a solid choice. The burger itself was delicious as well - sometimes veggie burgers don't hold together well, but this one wasn't crumbly at all, and seasoned and cooked perfectly. I also partook in their Bloody Mary bar - and I have to say I've never seen such a variety of hot sauces. The only warning I have for folks mixing their own drinks is to be sure you know your palette ... because if you add in too much hot sauce or horseradish, you kind of just have to live with yourself. I would definitely return to Trolley Stop the next time I'm visiting family in Dayton! If the weather is nice, do yourself a favor and walk around the Oregon District after your meal to take in some of the history and cute shops.

Definitely a neighborhood bar, and a popular one at that. The bar fills up fast and then the non regulars are left to fill the smattering of tables. The space is large and the tables are scattered around making the seating feel awkward. My friend ordered potato soup at about 8 pm and the soup was cold and the potatoes were raw- back to the kitchen it went. We did drink our fill of Irish Gingers. Our server was friendly and took the time to joke around with us and give us some pointers to the neighborhood. The restrooms are located upstairs. Not ADA compliant!! There was an older man who said he had bad knees and couldn't go up the stairs anymore. (Where does he go then???)

Everything was great!!! I'll be going back for sure!!! I haven't been to the Oregon district in almost 20 years...this wasn't a disappointing experience. The ambiance was chill and service was great. We had a lot of food come home, those pancakes

I love the Tex Mex bowl! It's the absolute best lunch. Make sure to dine on the patio if the weather is good :) Also: check them out Friday and Saturday nights for live music!

Hippie stacker full meal

As the summer days get hotter and hotter it's really nice to find a lovely spot to go to lunch and cool off. My partner and I recently went on a date and the spot we went to was The Trolly Stop in the perpetually pleasant Oregon District in Dayton, OH. The restaurant had a quite chill environment and incredibly friendly staff. It was fantastic place for late lunch on a scalding hot day. I had their blueberry mule and their hippie stacker sandwich and my partner has a drink version of their raspberry lemon drop shot with a jalapeño popper grilled cheese and we were both quite satisfied. The blueberry mule was simple call to a legendary drink (and my personal fave cocktail) where the blueberry shines and compliments the lime and ginger without being overly strong. Harmony in liquid. Absolutely lovely. My sandwich, the hippie stacker, was a nice summer/spring fair, all the ingredients meshed well and made for a lovely sandwich. Not much to write home about but I think that's ok. Not every sandwhich needs to be the next greatest thing, sometimes it's good to have something that's just right at the right time at the right place. My partners drink, the raspberry lemon drop, was a very bright and sweet but joyously sour, a quite sunny drink perfect for scorching days but potentially dangerous to how tasty it is. Her sandwich, the jalapeño grilled cheese, In her words was "pretty good. I like it. It's exactly what it says on the tin". We quite enjoyed our date and our meal at the trolley stop and recommend giving it a visit, maybe not the best thing around, but well worth the time and money.

Our waiter was new - at least he said he was - but he seemed to be knowledgeable. The place was extremely busy. We came to celebrate our son's birthday. I got one of the salads for lunch, my husband got the burger. Both were good. Our son got the grilled cheese with soup and his boyfriend got the wrap. It was all served warm. The chocolate flourless cake was the best part! I could have skipped the lunch and just had dessert.

Seriously disappointing. I didn't think we would be able to find anything we would want to eat or be interested in trying. The menu is HEAVILY vegan and gluten free. We got the grilled cheese and macho not-Cho's. There's no interest in returning--price:quality comparison we can just stay home and make better food for ourselves.

Cobb salad, taste was pretty good with everything except for the chicken that was way off for me
Joel B.

Definitely a nice courtyard outdoor place, friendly service, and a decent selection of bar food. Tryed a few things and wasn't blown away but would definitely go back. The Cobb salad was what you would expect in a Cobb salad, but the chicken tasted like it was out of a bag. Otherwise the appetizers and whateverbody else ordered seem pretty good.

I have been three times. Came once for the opening, I had the burger, my fiancé had a steak dish and we shared the hummus. The burger was good, but frites were dry and my meal was so greasy. My fiancé didn't love the steak. The hummus was good but served with spiced tortilla chips like Doritos. Would have been much better with pita bread or more veggies. The next time I came with a group of girl friends. We shared several small plates, including the corndog shrimp and the pimento cheese. I also got the Chopped salad for my main. Appetizers were very good, salad was just meh. Third time we came for an early dinner. I got the BBQ Bacon Ranch Salad and fiancé got the burger. Salad was not very good, just an odd mix of flavors. Fiancé said burger was good. They changed the fries but he wasn't impressed with these either. The drinks and wine list are excellent. Would love it if the bar stayed open later Thurs- Saturday and offered more small plates and appetizers. I really hope they figure out the menu and execution because it could be such a great restaurant.

First impression? It definitely gives off biker bar vibes from the outside, but once you step inside, it's way more welcoming and laid back than you'd expect. Good atmosphere, friendly people, and the kind of place that feels like a hidden local favorite. I ordered the Biker Burger, and it absolutely delivered. The burger was juicy, flavorful, cooked perfectly, and packed with great taste in every bite. You can tell they care more about making good food than trying to be fancy. If you're making the trip to Buc-ee's and want something local instead of chain fast food, Rip Rap Roadhouse is definitely worth the stop. Great burger, cool atmosphere, and one of those places you're happy you discovered by accident.

Classic tavern setting but great outside deck & patio. Room for live music and both bar & restaurant seating. Service is casual and friendly but efficient and smooth. When I am going from west to east or north to south, this and the Buckhorn Tavern are my two must haves! Highly recommend!

This weekend we went to the Cellarbration 2026 held at this location. Every couple of years, they crack open a few treasures and share some special releases. This year, they had 22 choices, including my husband's favorite Warped Wing beer of all time, the 2019 Baltic Porter, aged in port wine barrels. We split a trio of sliders and a specialty flavor of wings, Honey Butter Buffalo, which were especially good. We liked all 3 sliders, but the stand out was the pulled pork...absolutely delicious! Because of the event, it was pretty busy at noon but the staff kept things cleared and cleaned. The bathrooms were clean but bare bones.
