Today was my first time trying the Red Carpet Tavern and I absolutely loved my lunch and experience! What an awesome little tavern with great service and food. They scored high when upon my arrival I learned that they have Boat Show IPA. Love it! I then ordered the Chicken and Waffle which is not something I'd normally order but the table next to me recommended it. So so so good!! The waffle is definitely different from others that I've had but was delicious. The chicken was perfect little chucks of perfection! Lightly battered and juicy. So good! I also loved that the chef took the time to come out and greet customers and wanted to know feedback. She even let us try something that she's working on for the menu. Cool extra touch!! I got a takeout order from here recently. I ordered the Cheesesteak sandwich without green peppers, onions, or banana peppers. I also ordered the loaded fries. The Cheesesteak sandwich came on a nice roll with tomatoes, lettuce, and mayonnaise. The steak was seasoned really well and the roll was sliced in half. The loaded fries had cheese, bacon bits, jalapeño peppers, sliced scallions and diced onions. The fries were very tasty and fried good. Not sure what the hype over their food is all about. Went there on a Saturday night, the place was not busy. We ordered wings, onion rings and macaroni & cheese bites. The onion rings and macaroni bites were not good...breading was flavorless and the grease was dripping. The wings were small and the sauce sporadic. I've re-visited the RCT on Karaoke night a couple of times and I have to say he has improved greatly since my last review. Way to go, Bear Claw!! we went in on a Saturday evening about 7. The place seemed cool, the music was cool, we ordered drinks, then food. One of the regulars thought it would be funny to play the most vulgar rap on the jukebox. I am tolerant but I do not want to hear 2 songs about "fucking pussy and licking dick" There was a family with a child that also found it less than funny. We got our greasy cold food to go and basically threw it away. The barmaid sort of apologized. She could have shut it off but must have also found it funny to offend patrons. I have been coming to the Red Carpet since it was, well...red. I have always had a good time here. A friend and I decided to start going there on Monday nights for music bingo, we got to play one time, and I dont think they are doing it anymore because only a handful of people showed up. *if you've never been to music bingo, you are missing so much fun, but go to the Red Carpet on Mondays, so hopefully it'll come back!* Now on to the important part-the food. Oh my. My friend got chicken wings, and they were the biggest juiciest wings I have ever seen. She loved them and said they were the best wings she's ever had. She took some home to her son, and he said the same thing. Everything we had was delicious. The beers are super cold, there are sports on the tv's, pool tables, darts and a couple of video games. You can play Keno, and of course the jukebox too. The bartender is probably one of the nicest people I've ever met. He's attentive, knows when your drinks are almost empty, and brings another cold one. He will come to your table to check on you, and talk if you want. He's just an all around nice guy. So, get on to the Red Carpet, and have some yummy food and cold beers. You'll thank me!! read more

My fellow employees and I like to order out on Friday's. This week we decided to go to the Red Carpet Tavern. We could not call our order in-----the phone number kept saying that the voice mail was full. NO ONE ever answered the phone. We tried to order online, but that did not work either. This was a WRAP!!! We said to forget this place. It looked great, but if you cannot order food-----what is the point??? The Marketing Dept. better do something about this, or they are going to continue to lose business. When you are at work and only have a certain amount of time, you cannot wait around to find out what is going on with a restaurant. We wasted a lot of precious time dealing with this mess. Every year during Lent we travel the area looking for the best fish sandwich or fish and chips . Tonight we tried The Red Carpet Tavern. It was outstanding! The service was excellent and the fish and chips were delicious. Sandy waited on us and could not have been more personable and helpful. Great neighborhood bar, lots of TV's and friendly people. This was my first time to the Red Carpet Tavern, and it was an excellent one. It has the exact kind of atmosphere I look for in a bar. They didn't waste money on remodeling their bar every year, so their prices were quite good. I got a 22oz of Bud Light for $2, which is a nice change from the prices at places like the Greene. I went on a Thursday night, and the bar was literally dead. Besides my friend and myself, there was only one other patron there when we entered. By midnight though, there was about 7 of us. The bartenders were very friendly and made me feel welcome. I'll definitely be returning. read more

Really good food and excellent service. The bartender took our orders and did an excellent job getting us what we wanted. We tried the onion rings and mac n cheese bites, both were good.. The burgers were obviously fresh, not frozen meat. They had a caramelized onion dip with chips that was very good, was also great on the burgers. I would have preferred the fries to be a bit crisper. Red Carpet is a great place to go. I've been here twice now with friends from work but chose to review after my last trip last week. A couple friends and I decided to go out for a few drinks after a stressful week at work. It was pretty slow when we got there at 4, but Tammy treated us like we were the only people in the house. She was amazing and mixed perfect drinks. As we stayed well past the time we ordered food just drinking and chatting away, no one cared that we took up a table or laughed too loudly. Very Hostile environment...food was good, but bar prices are way to high for a quaint neighborhood pub. It seems that there are mostly regulars who go in there and they don't take kindly to New faces...the Proprietor was very much into himself. We stopped here Saturday after the Women's Rally in Dayton and are soooo happy we did. We were treated like regulars by Tammy, the cook/server of their early hours (3:30 pm) and loved every minute we were there. The Cod Sandwich was THE BEST COD we've ever tasted, and at almost 2" thick I mean the BEST! Everything else was wonderful. Especially Tammy. We will be back as often as we get back to Dayton. Best fish sandwich in town no doubt. Fish is made to order, hot and fresh. Try it on rye and their tartar sauce which is homemade and my favorite is their cocktail sauce. Chili is great, fries are very good. Prices are more than reasonable. read more

I drive by this place all the time. They have a sign out that says 39 cent wings on Mondays. So I go to the place and they tell me they are 55 cents a wing. I told the owner or manager that I came there for the wing offer. He was rude and said he didn't want my business. I'd stay away from that place. read more
