Autumn Drinks Menu is great. Sit at the Bar where the service is amazing with the old school daytime bartender Bill, he mixes great drinks. Serves up lunch and never misses a beat! Drinks we had: Fall in Durango purple Tom Collins Forbidden Pear Food: Pasta Chip Nachos-just Ok Spicy Cauliflower -Great Quesadilla -Great Great service makes all the difference, didn't receive it sitting at the tables. Fun night out with friends. I loves the cool old firehouse and all the pictures and memorabilia on the walls. Well poured Guinness and the house made pastrami on rye was perfect dinner on a cold night. Server was attentive and always near by with being intrusive. Lively atmosphere without being too loud

A couple of coworkers and I stopped in for a business lunch. It was my first time dining here. Cool atmosphere inside of an old firehouse. The service was fine and the food was just ok. Nothing was really memorable about the food or the experience. I got the Black and Blue salmon salad and some wings.

Service was awesome. Felt like a family run business where I felt well taken care of. Food was excellent. I didn't know I had a craving for pastrami or corn beef on rye until I came here. Ambiance was chill, being in a converted firehouse was cool. Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area.

So we just walked in, and the host was kind enough to let us sit at the little bar area near the window. I like their ordering system. You have many options --- go up to the cash register and order there, order from the server who comes by your table (or in our case, bar), or use your phone by scanning the QR code. And if you use your phone, each person in your party can do it themselves on their own phone. Regardless, it all gets added to the same order for the same table. Pretty slick. At the end, when it comes time to pay, the app lets you split the check however you want, and you can even see the name of the person that ordered each item. The food was incredible. It's not cheap, and the portions are a little smaller than some might expect at an Italian restaurant. But for us, it was filling enough. I personally had the raviolo, which was delicious. Little did I know that in Italian, "raviolo" is singular while "ravioli" is plural. So I got one giant raviolo on my plate (see picture). I didn't care much for the runny egg yolk on top, but it was as advertised on the menu. All the other food orders were amazing, especially the desserts. I'd definitely come back once my food budget resets.

I also asked for some marinara sauce to dip the crusts in. I'm a fan of kale salads and this is a really good one! Tender kale, carrots, onion, avocado with a light vinegar dressing. Ooooo. This is some serious pizza. The crust is house made and just delicious. We love the vegan style, the flavors are buttery and delicious! I'd put this pizza at the top of the list in the Dayton area! Despite being downtown, parking is easy with a large lot out front. The inside decor and atmosphere is awesome. They have vibrant artwork for sale lining the walls. The menu has a great variety, including some vegan options. I had trouble deciding on what to get given the mix of choices. Ultimately, I decided on the chicken parmesan sandwich with jojo fries and my wife got one of the spring specialty burgers. The food arrived pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the food was a bit of a miss for us. For the chicken parm, the focaccia bread was a bit soggy, and the jojo fries were just so-so. I did like the marinara and mozzarella, but overall it left a lot to be desired. My wife's burger was undercooked and quite messy. I'm thinking it may have just been an off day, and I look forward to giving Wheat Penny another shot.
