i have just ventured into my journey with triana tailors, but so far i am very impressed. the ladies who work with triana are very professional and courteous. i brought in 3 pairs of jeans and a pair of shoes i would likely wear with them (recommended); after each measurement, they made certain i was happy with the proposed length. i brought in 2 dresses, both vintage (which triana noticed & clearly wanted to make sure alterations were carefully thought out). i was moving the sleeves on one dress because it's basically too large, but i love it & will wear it baggy as long as the sleeves fit. that was the most expensive alteration. i had several other items, i'd been saving garments for tailoring for a while and finally got to that part of the to-do list. i have never had many items tailored. i am expecting great things from triana's. not only does she come highly recommended by a few people i know, i just had the easiest, most genuine, experience you could have in that type of business situation. read more

I've been here a few times to have several pairs of pants hemmed. They've been quick, cheap, and helpful each time. I've been happy with all the results (and I'm somewhat picky, I'm not happy with many places). read more

Our first time using Triana Tailors and we couldn't be more pleased with the results! Had two tuxedos perfectly tailored and already dropped of another suit! We will keep coming back! read more

I chose to try Triana Tailors because of their great reviews. I took a pair of work pants for alterations. When I picked them up I left without trying them on (my mistake). They were too short for my liking. I called to ask if I could bring them back and they were so gracious and accommodating, they didn't make me feel like an inconvenience in any way. I brought the pants back and they fixed them to my liking right on the spot. They were so sweet, I would definitely come back. read more

My gf took my jacket to replace the zipper (had tried 3 places before) and she did an awesome job!

Got the armholes on a really scratchy annoying sequined dress widened here. Customer service was top notch, the work was great and speedy, and the price seemed about right. Will definitely be back. read more

They reattached a loose button on a nice blazer of mine - it literally took them only two minutes from when I walked into the store, and they didn't charge me! Will definitely come back here in the future. read more

I've been here many times to have skirts and pants hemmed. As a petite woman, I constantly have to alter things to fit my frame and I've always been happy with the work here. They are always on time, economical and very friendly. I will continue to use their services. read more

These folks did a great job on my suit pants. I came in here and needed my pants hemmed ASAP, and they nailed it. The suit pants were a tiny bit short (according to my fiance) so I had to bring these in last minute and they lengthened them in about 7 minutes! Really appreciate the fast service. thanks Triana! read more

AMAZING experiences here. Customer service is top notch, they are incredibly fair, and really good at what they do! Would recommend to anyone in Austin area. read more

I arrived around 11 am on Saturday. They were courteous and said I had to wait 10 minutes until the lone changing room became available. I had a pair of Lucky Brand jeans that needed alterations to its waist and length. Also had a canvas belt that needed shortening. The cost of the belt shortening was six fifty. Very reasonable. The length alteration of the jeans was 16.50. However, the cost of altering the waist of the jeans was ninety eight dollars. In my opinion that is too much money so I left with my items. read more

I have been once. Everyone was nice and courteous. The reason for the 1 star is that I took a pair of jeans to get hemmed as they were too long. Well, they hemmed them too short. I never got to wear those pair of jeans - ruined as too short. Learn from my mistake and request an inch or two longer when it comes to jeans. read more

I brought my wedding dress to Elizabeth for two minor alterations - shorten the length and alter the off the shoulder sleeves. She was able to do the length just fine and in fact guided me in the right direction about how short I should go. However, I was disappointed about her work with the sleeves. I am not sure if my message was lost in translation, the way that one message can mean the same thing to two different people, but what I ended up with was technically fine (the dress fit and I looked great) it was not what I wanted. So be clear on your message and make sure she understands and you understand exactly what you want. read more

Just called to get a range on prices to hem a skirt and they wouldn't even give a price range. Really?!? I wouldn't waste my gas if that is their way of doing business. Perhaps, if they can simply state a range and say that prices aren't established until we see them it might help. read more

I've been here many times and have received excellent service. Today though was superb. I had a blazer with a loose button. I want to wear it this evening so I stopped by first thing this morning hoping I could get it back by 5p. She told me to wait 5 minutes. Tighten the button up and sent me on my way. When I ask how much I owed she said nothing. She has gotten my business before and will continue to get it! Top notch service! read more

Great service and alterations all the time. Family run business. Very professional and knowledgeable about fabrics too. Wedding designs too.

The ladies at Triana were very nice and easy to work with. I got my wedding dress altered. It came out perfect. Price was a little steep for me, but I am a cheap person. Great work read more

I had a suit tailored here and was very satisfied. I've never had a suit tailored before, so I have no frame of reference for the price. They shortened my sleeves, hemmed the pants, took in the sides for a better fit and made sure there was no bunching in the back, and the total was $130. Friendly, professional, and they do good work. read more

I was so impressed with the customer service here. I brought in several pairs of pants to be hemmed just before moving, forgetting my departure date. When I called to get them sooner, it was no problem. I came in shortly after close Saturday, and the staff let me in and finished my pants while I waited. So grateful for their friendly, above-and-beyond service. read more

Read the other reviews on Yelp and decided to try Ms. Triana's services for several small, uncomplicated tailoring jobs (hemming a pair of pants, taking in another pair, restoring the seam in yet another). I can't vouch for her work on really complex tailoring jobs, but she did great work for us on several small tasks. She did a couple of the jobs right on the spot, which was nice. I especially appreciated her advice on the most complicated job I presented (redoing the lining in a pair of dress slacks). She looked at the pants and told me it would cost $80 to redo the lining. She suggested that it would probably be more cost-effective to merely remove the lining altogether, as the pants would wear well without it. Considering that the pants cost almost that much to begin with and didn't have infinite wear left in them, it was a very sensible suggestion which saved me a lot of money. She took the lining out for me right there. Her prices are reasonable; she and her staff are very courteous and friendly; and they delivered the work on time. Works for me! read more

I had an amazing experience getting my wedding dress altered here. I love the women who work here! I wish so bad they would open a south location. Couldn't recommend them more! read more

This was my first time taking any of my clothing to a tailor for alterations. I am glad I came here! I was going to a ball that night and my formal dress was a bit too long. Told them I needed it by this afternoon and it was done. Dropped it off at 1pm and picked it up at 3pm. The dress was all velvet. It fits perfectly now and the threading was very neat...they made it look like the original hem-line. The alteration costs ~$25. read more

I was really nervous when choosing a tailor to alter my wedding dress so I asked around for recommendations and Triana was recommended by many - and for good reason - Triana tailors did a spectacular job. The staff is professional, patient and kind. And Elizabeth was amazing! It was obvious that she was a very experienced and professional seamstress and took great care in her work. She made me feel confident that everything that my dress was going to perfect - and it was! And the icing on the cake was that the cost was much less than I had anticipated. Thank you Triana Tailors! read more

I have used them twice now for small projects, mostly fixing seams and such. The first time I dropped off a few different garments and they were ready to be picked up on time and were done to perfection for a reasonable price. The second time they quickly fixed a seam while I waited and for no charge! I will be bringing them all of my business from now on! read more

Unbelievable service and great turnaround time. I was desperately in need of alterations for a bridesmaid dress and they were able to make this dress fit like a glove and within 5 short days. I can not sing enough praises. I will be back. I'd trust them with my most prized possession. read more

I needed my wedding suit tailored and I saw a review of her work on yelp. She has done a fantastic job on the suit and I've since taken another one to her to get altered. The older suit now has a more modern cut and basically looks like a new, very expensive suit. The prices are cheap for the level of work done and I would high recommend her to any guy looking to get alterations done. read more

I got the bustle for my wedding dress done here and they did an amazing job! I have been to so many weddings where the bustle broke but mine held together beautifully. Definitely recommend Triana Tailors and will use them again! read more

The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgable. They are a little more expensive, and can take a little longer than other places. I had them take in several pants in the waist and slim down wider-leg jeans. They also fixed a couple of hems that another tailor had previously done, and the pants looked great. Their hems and stitches have held up for over a year. I would highly recommend them! read more

Excellent work. They altered a tunic for me, taking the gigantic flapping and swooping sleeves and turning them into a tapered and elegant bracelet length. I have had several things altered here and am quite happy with the quality of the work. read more

I have had bridesmaid dresses and most recently my own wedding dress altered by Elizabeth at Triana and she does an amazing job and worth every penny. She made my wedding dress fit me perfectly and came up with a beautiful bustle. She is by far the best tailor in Austin, especially for formal wear! read more

If you're a paranoid bride-to-be, THIS is where you should go to get your wedding dress altered. Elizabeth is amazing at what she does! She sewed cups into the bust, took in the corset, created a bustle and removed some unwanted bling from the waist of my dress for barely over $100. After she removed the sparkles from the ribbon around my waist and sewed the ribbon back on, I asked a question about the stitching (it was slightly visible). When I went to pick up my dress the next week, she had fixed it to perfection, even though I hadn't specifically asked her to do . In addition to doing beautiful work, she and her staff are extremely kind. The hanger I brought my dress in on was bent (my dress is very heavy), and she replaced it with a new one. Same with the bridal bag. Mine was torn and ripped, and I left with a new one to protect my dress. She's also great because she works around YOUR schedule. I asked her when my dress would be ready, and she replied, "When do you need it?" She had it finished in a week! Lastly, she partners with a woman who had a dress steaming business--she picks your dress up, and drops it back off so you don't have to drive around a ton. read more

I have been to this seamstress a couple times after reading great reviews on yelp. I even recommended them to my sister-in-law, who recently got married, after seeing all the rave bridal reviews on here. Overall, I've been happy with the work, but the price is a little higher than I expected on some items. My sister-in-law was happy with the price, the work, the experience....until the day came to pick her dress up. She was quoted an amount for 6 weeks, throughout 6 or so fittings, up until her wedding day. They recommended she or someone she knows come pick her dress up the day of the wedding to make sure everything was ready to go and fit perfectly. She sent a family member to pick her dress up and the price changed $100+ dollars from the original quote. This is a BIG deal to a bride on her wedding day. I went to them to alter my bridesmaids dress for the same wedding and was told that once a quote was written up, I would not be charged more, regardless of the extra work that ended up needing to be done. Now, my wedding is coming up and I fully expected to have them alter my gown. I figured I would just clarify this pricing issue so that I had no surprises before my wedding. I called yesterday to make an appointment to get my wedding dress altered and, after being asked to describe my wedding gown, was told I don't need to make an appointment. I called today, on my way in, and mentioned I called yesterday about wedding dress alterations and wanted to know how long my fitting should take and told them I would be dropping by in about 20 minutes. I showed up with my dress and supplies and was told I needed an appointment because they were too busy. This was a complete waste of my time and a huge hassle on my part, as I can't keep my wedding dress at home (nosy fiance). Not only did I have to coordinate with my maid of honor, who has kept my dress for me, but I even called TWICE, mentioning both times that I needed to alter a wedding gown. This place isn't close to me either -- It takes me 45 minutes to drive to. So to show up after calling and trying to make an appointment, and being turned away, I am not a happy bride. Altering a wedding dress is already a stressful thing on a bride, but to have this as an extra stress is not on my agenda. I'm taking this as my second sign to go somewhere else. They may do great work, but I am not risking a mishap or any more hassle and will be finding a new regular seamstress. read more

There are not enough words to adequately express our deepest appreciation for the excellence and flexibility of the experience we had with Elizabeth and her fine staff in preparation for our daughter's wedding on 3-22-14. The bride lives in London but bought her gown here at Blush, and was being married in Austin. It made sense to do the fittings locally to protect the dress. I have used Triana's for my clothing alterations for several years and knew they would take great care with the wedding gown. Even though all the wedding magazines recommend having your gown alterations done about 6 months out, Elizabeth prefers to make alterations as close to the wedding date as possible since brides are notorious for either gaining or losing weight before the big day regardless of best intentions. Even a bit of monthly water weight can make a difference. With her ideal timing, Elizabeth ensures every bride looks and feels absolutely perfect as she walks down the aisle. Since my daughter was only able to travel home twice during the preparation phase, Elizabeth did an initial pinning at Christmas just to see how much adjustment would be required and told her to set aside a full day the week before the wedding as soon as she arrived in town. With fittings at 10 am, 1pm, and 4:30 on the Monday before her Saturday wedding, we walked out the door with a gown fitted to perfection. I realize this takes a lot of trust but when Elizabeth gives her word, you can absolutely count on it! In addition, she altered and created a nearly custom veil for us. After purchasing a traditional veil with lace trim, the bride decided a mantilla style would more beautifully frame her gown. She also wanted a blusher. Elizabeth removed the gathering and comb from the veil and determined that there was enough material, if we could find matching lace, to create a mantilla. Unable to source a roll of matching lace, I purchased an additional veil. In one month a new veil was created. She and her team carefully removed the additional lace and, rather than using fabric glue to secure it which would have been fine given our desperation and the short time involved, hand stitched it a few small pieces at a time to create an exquisite, heirloom quality mantilla veil with blusher. There is none better than this fine team for wedding gowns or regular tailoring! read more
