My bridesmaid dress was bought from Azazie so it wasn't super complicated but it had 3 layers to the hem and also needed chest padding removed - I can't even see where Lily cut and hemmed. It is professionally done. My only quip about my experience is that Lily doesn't always respond to texts. Nothing bad happened but there was a quite delay to getting responses. Lily did an excellent job altering my wedding dress! My dress need to be lengthened, which did not seem like an easy task, as there wasn't much extra material to work with. She meticulously removed and reattached a very delicate piece of lace on the top layer of tulle, on my dress, to add some length. And she also added a wide piece of lace to one of the sheer under layers of my dress to get it to the perfect floor-length. I am really glad I found Lily's alterations. Previously I had a Tailor in Cedar park who had passed away, and I had not been able to find a Tailor that I trusted my expensive clothes with. Lily is not only affordable, but I have to have a lot of my clothes, especially pantsuits, completely redone to fit my body type. She can completely remake outfits to fit like a glove. Her prices are affordable and she is very kind to work with. She only accepts cash, I believe, FYI. My only slight negative, which clearly wasn't enough to change from 5 stars to 4 stars, is that she doesn't always keep store hours. Her home is her store and you need to call ahead to make sure she is home, before stopping by. Afternoons tend to work best for her to be home, but not always. Lily's Alterations was a great experience! I knew before I even found Lily's that my bridesmaid dress was going to be a pain to take in. It's a beautiful dress but it was a size too large for me and covered in sequins so it had to be taken in from both sides and a lot had to be done by hand. It also needed to be hemmed. I had heard what the bride had paid for alterations elsewhere and was prepared for the worst price-wise. I was happy to find out that the price was super reasonable and much less than what I had expected. She told me what work would be required and it confirmed my suspicions about the dress but I gave it to her more than a week before I needed it and it was ready to pick up on time. She takes cash and checks: usually half at drop-off and half at pick-up but I ended up writing her a check for the full price after the initial consultation.
