This salon went above and beyond for me to get my nails done. They opened an hour early because they were booked solid (New Year's Eve is tomorrow) so I could come in early, thanked me so much for taking the time when they were the ones who went out of the way to open the salon early. And I got a fill with one of their cat eye nail colors and they were so intentional about reshaping, buffing and getting the design exactly how I envisioned it. After my pedi, I was rushed out of the salon (most likely from overbooking). I was sitting in the waiting area to dry my feet and because I wore slippers I was told that my nails didn't need to dry. Turns out they weren't dry enough and both my feet are ruined. I called to share my experience because I'd much rather speak with an employee rather than leave a negative review. I've come to Tri Organic Spa a few times now for regular manicures and the service has been consistently wonderful each time, regardless of how busy it gets. The ladies here are so nice and go out of their way to make sure their customers are taken care of. Having moved from San Francisco within the last year, I've found that nail salons are not as plentiful in my neighborhood (Cap Hill), but Tri Organic Spa is a gem! 2 things I won't do, LIE for you, or LIE to you. I resent your response to my review implying that I am not telling the truth. I agree with you that it's impossible to do a pedicure in 15 minutes, which is why my pedicure, that was done by you in 15 minutes, was so awful. Not only was the pedicure done in 15 minutes and awful, my dip started chipping on day 3. I will always give my 100% truth in my reviews. I did state that the staff was polite and kind, and that was true as well. But my review is based on my experience... and my experience alone. If anyone else had a better experience, then I am very happy for them. My experience was not good, and NOW for two reasons..... the very bad 15 minute pedicure and NOW my dip that chipped in 3 days which should NEVER happen. As a customer, I would not take the chance in going here again. My money spent, should be good money spent, and I don't think this was a good nail salon to spend my money at. read more

They were pretty efficient, which was impressive. However, our shellac pedis did not last. Both mine and my friend's pedis chipped after 10 days; not worth the extra $15. Shame on me for not reading through the reviews to see so many "one-time reviewers" (typically bogus reviews) This was definitively the worst nail salon experience I've ever had, and it became obvious I wasn't the only one who felt that way. I called to make an appointment with just an hour and a half notice. The woman that answered said they were available for me and a friend. With traffic, we were about 9 minutes late (yeah I'm precise) and I made sure to call ahead early to let them know, and it still wasn't a problem. When we arrived, all four pedicure stations were taken and we were told it would be a 5 - 10 minute wait. Once that passed, we were told another 15 minutes - I let them know I'd need to cancel because I had a dinner to attend but somehow they persuaded me to stay. And about 40 minutes after our appt time, I was finally taken and 10 minutes later my friend was. Every person arriving after us of course was impacted by the domino-effect of delays. Because I was short on time now, they offered to do my manicure simultaneously with the pedicure. I agreed and wished that I hadn't. The nail artist spilled lotion on my dress and tried to wipe it out but the oils had already done their damage. I was pressed for time and now I'd be arriving to my own rehearsal-type dinner in a damaged dress. Once I was finally done and went to dry the polish as my friend finished her pedicure, I overheard another customer so angry that she was told she'd be seated after me but they instead gave my seat to a customer that had just entered. Yikes. If you're unable to make time for someone, it's better to simply state that then agree to take them in and put them way behind schedule, which compromised quality and ultimately lost the business a repeat customer. read more

Been here twice, showed up on time for both appointments, and walked away satisfied each time. First visit was an average salon visit. Waited a few minutes for spots to clear up, which never irritates me because it gives me enough time to pick out my favorite color(s). The manicure was nice, I loved the almond shape they gave me! Pedicure was also nice. Nothing special, but no complaints. I was very impressed with their ability to balance appointments and walk-ins- especially the manager, who seemed like she was balancing scheduling, waxing and pedicures during their rush. Walked out with simple, pretty (real) nails and was content! Second visit, I got my first Brazilian wax and another manicure. The manicure was really nice, once again. Had a lovely chat with my lady this time, they were less busy and more relaxed! The Brazilian wax is the main reason why I decided to write this review. I went in for a mani and a trim - I'm growing my hair out and wanted a few layers added in. The woman who cut my hair took off at least 3 or 4 inches after glancing at the picture of some long layers I showed her. My hair is so damaged, so I've decided to get a 2-inch or so trim to get rid of the spit ends. While I normally wait until I visit Las Vegas to get my hair done at Trend Beauty Salon (https://www.yelp.com/biz/trend-beauty-salon-las-vegas), but the heat is making my hair extra dry and unmanageable. As such, I told myself that I would spend no more than $25. During my 2 hour search, I found a salon in Capitol Hill with a Yelp rating of 5 Stars that is within my budget. To my surprise, they're having a Summer Sale Haircut Special for new clients. Women's haircuts are $15 instead of their normal $25. On top of that, Yelp offers a 10% discount for first timers. Talk about a deal! I have an appointment today at 4PM. We shall see how it turns out. How I found the deal: -Went on Groupon and sorted by price -Looked at those with descent ratings -Cross-referenced Yelp ratings -Clicked on salons' websites -If they were within my range, I read the reviews --- Post haircut thoughts: Ambiance: the spa is a bit small, but it has a very warm and welcoming vibe. Staff: the staff was very kind and offered water to their clients. Service: my hair is very dry and damaged, which is an understatement. I was very embarrassed that the stylist - who I believe is the owner - had to deal with my unmanageable hair. She asked me what type of hair style I was aiming for, but provided some suggestions as well. I absolutely love that she spent so much time delicately handling my hair even thought it was an absolute struggle to run her fingers through them. In the end, she provided me with names of products to treat my hair. Overall: I'll definitely come back; with or without specials. Hehe. She definitely left a wonderful impression... so much so that I may just become a regular. ;) Cannot wait to visit them again and try their other services. Thanks to Yelp, I received a 10% discount on getting acrylics ($35) which was a nice treat! Not being from the West Coast, I wasn't able to find a branch of my bank nor an ATM in time, so I called ahead and found out that they accept tips by card (which I normally wouldn't do) which was helpful if you find yourself in this situation. I called ahead and asked when the next available appointment was, and the woman I spoke to said I could come in "now" so after getting out of bed, I walked there (20 minutes from Seattle U) and was seated quickly, which was extremely convenient! Another review stated how she had the same experience, but had to wait. I can see how saying you can come in "now" can go wrong. While getting my nails done, I noticed that some of the acrylic nails were a little crooked. My fingers are a little crooked so maybe that's why? However, the manicurist shaped them well and any crookedness wasn't immediately noticeable. I got regular polish because I didn't want to pay more for shellac, but it lasted very long before chipping, which is great. Around two weeks later, I noticed that one of my nails was starting to peel from the edge. I'm a very impatient person so I plucked it off, and thus the others because I don't like walking around with once nail gone. I was very surprised to find how easily the nails came off. I'm assuming this isn't a good thing because it demonstrates the quality, but on the bright side I didn't have to trek somewhere to have them taken off, or spend hours doing it myself. read more

I've yet to actually make an appointment as my schedule is always changing and I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes before I'm seated and receiving their amazing care. I would say the ambiance is rather poor, but the services are inexpensive and the staff is very friendly. I went in on NYE and had a minimum wait time. The color selection for gel and regular polish is good and they wrap the bowls for cleanliness. I had the gel mani and regular pedi. I like their service, and I like they accept walks-in. Even though it was near their closing time, they are very thorough. I like their colorful light for the pedi tub, but I don't like their massage chair. I think the massage chair needs to be replaced. It hurt my back sitting on it for a few hours.
