Potatoes Three Ways, Asparagus
Erin W.

Came here for my wife's birthday last weekend because all she wanted was a good steak. And that's exactly what she got! The restaurant is on the third floor of the Four Seasons hotel. It's warm, cozy and perfect for a date night. The staff is super attentive and nice, they really made sure we had the best dinner possible. We got the filets, potatoes three ways and asparagus. The steaks came with their homemade chimichurri sauce that I honestly could have just drank. It was so good and the perfect addition to dinner. The potatoes were a fun take on mashed potatoes with an absolutely unreal oxtail gravy. They brought out a sundae with a candle to celebrate the occasion and it was the best ending to a wonderful meal.

My friend and I were staying at the Four Seasons and decided to have breakfast at Toro Toro. There isn't a dress code in the morning or at lunch time, but there is a strict dress code for dinner. It was a little more busy than usual so the service was pretty slow but our waiter was very nice and was absolutely doing his best. We did have a Bloody Mary for drinks- pretty standard and nothing too special. For food, I had the chilaquiles with shredded chicken. It was odd, I will say because the chicken wasn't really shredded and for an additional $8, it certainly was a lot less than expected. My friend had the eggs Benedict and salmon and said it was a little different than what he was expecting, but still good. I think the menu may be slightly overpriced, but you pay for the ambiance I guess.

We stopped into Toro Toro inside the Four Seasons Houston and had such a great experience. The servers were super friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu, which made deciding much easier. We went with the summer special, which was three courses for $55. and it was definitely worth it. I started things off with the Ube Be cocktail. It was just the right balance of sweetness with that mellow ube finish, and the toasted coconut flake garnish added a nice little texture. For starters, we tried the Bison Tiradito and the Amarillo Ceviche. The bison was like beef tartare with really interesting textures from the pickled shimeji and greens, plus a drizzle of truffle oil that gave it extra depth. It also had just a touch of spice. The ceviche, mostly ahi tuna, was fresh and delicious--served with plantain and tortilla chips. The plantain chips were definitely the winner for me. The tortilla chips could've been a bit fresher. For mains, the chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy, with a nice charred skin and plenty of flavor from the sauces and greens on top. The steak was also solid, and the sauces really made the dish since it didn't come with sides. The sauce with the sesame seeds was mellow, while the chimichurri packed more of a punch. Dessert was the last round. The chocolate semifreddo tart with vanilla ice cream was rich and tasty, though a few of the salted pecans were very salty. Still, most bites were excellent. The churros, though, were my favorite. Even though they aren't a show stopper. They were fresh, hot, had the perfect crisp on the outside, and served with a brandy dulce de leche sauce that was incredible. Overall, I left really impressed with both the food and the service. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when in Houston.

Excellent food! My aunt used to live at the Four Seasons and everyone was so friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend the La Bomba dessert. Although everything was fantastic, the salmon was my favorite. Honorable mention for the Duck Confit Tacos - my aunt loved them. Ate here both nights while in town and will be back.

My friends booked a table for us to have mu birthday brunch. It did not know what to expect. I had not been to the Four Seasons in years since my cousin took me for brunch. She has since passed away from breast cancer, so returning was special for me. Getting there was no issue. We had reservations for Sunday October 19 at 1pm. Pulled in and immediately greeted by valet. Now the restaurant is upstairs on the second or third floor. Finding the elevators was challenge coming in so took the stairs. You think you are there after one flight. Nope. One more my friend. Now welcome to Toro Toro. Now after you catch your breath you can view the restaurant. It's open out onto the floor. It has beautiful art and the interior decorating is superior. We sat at a round table. The chairs were okay. Let's talk about the experience. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly. Was not busy at all, so we got to enjoy a really intimate experience. We started off with some drinks. I had go to for the pain killer. I had not had one since I used to eat at Cheddars. I have never stepped a foot back into that place, so being able to have one that is elevated was great. We also did a flight of mimosas. We had fresh orange, mango, passion fruit, pineapple and grapefruit juices. They were divine. For brunch I went with the steak and fries. Added a side of soft scrambled eggs. We also got an order of the tres leches pancakes to share. I ordered my steak medium and it came almost well done. The fries were excellent. The eggs were perfect. The real star of the experience was the tres leches pancakes. OMG. Decadent and filling. I would go back for those again. After all the champagne had to pop into the restroom. The restrooms are beautifully put together. The star here was the soap. I legit went back to the table and raved about it. All my friends said the same thing. It was so good we asked the front desk who makes the soap. They sent my friend to the spa to inquire. We found out it is Diptyque softening and comforting wash for the hands. I went home and immediately ordered it. It came in today and my hands smell like heaven as I type this review. Worth every penny. Overall, the brunch experience was superb. Don't forget to have your valet validated by the restaurant. Check them out. It was a great time.

We've been meaning to try this place since Quattro closed after the Pandemic. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. We arrived and valeted, make sure to get your ticket stamped for a discount. ($7.58) The restaurant is on the 3rd floor, you can take the stairs or the elevator to your right when you walk in. When we got upstairs there were only 2 other patrons, so I didn't have high hopes. App: Crab Toast (Best Bite) Redfish Ceviche (Spicy) Shrimp Aguachile We ordered from the brunch menu and everything was actually tasty. Crab toast has guacamole with tons of fresh crab and pickled veggies. Redfish and Shrimp are served with Plantains and tortilla chips. The plantains were sliced thin and really crispy, but the tortilla chips were thicker and stale. All in all, it was a good meal.

Located in the Four Seasons hotel in downtown so parking may be an issue. We walked from our office building. Restaurant is tastefully decorated. Modern, sophisticated taking advantage of the floor to ceiling windows. Our server was great and very attentive. The menu had a variety of options but since this is a steakhouse I went with the steak frites which was a ribeye perfectly cooked and seasoned. Others ordered the salmon with chili jam which was also delectable.

My husband said it was the best meat he's ever had in his life but to me it was a 7/10 maybe be got the fattier softer side but def try it out we're from LA and wanted to try most meats available in Texan

Stylish and tasty. Service and ambiance: This restaurant is part of the hotel but walk ins are welcome. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good vibe. The hostess was very nice and accommodated our request without any problems. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful as well. Food and drinks: The menu is designed differently for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We arrived during brunch time. I highly recommend hanger steak with sunny side eggs. I ordered medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. The meat paired well with eggs and side of rice. Our citrus salad was delicious. Tangy and sweet. All dishes were presented very well on the plates. Selection of cocktails was excellent. Pricing: $$ and worth every bit of the food quality.

My first time at this fancy steakhouse located in the Four Seasons Hotel. Came with a group, for my friends bday. Birthday girl made an early resy. We had the dining room, essentially to ourseleves. At first, they placed our party of 6 near their fireplace. And while it was asethetically pleasing, we were very hot. So the staff were kind enough to seat us elsewhere, and it was much cooler. The place is modernly decorated with a beautiful bar outside the dining area. Food - I wanted to keep it light. So I ordered the Octupus Antichupo. It was pretty tasty. Grilled octopus with what I can describe as a some kind mash potato cup underneath. Everyone else seemed satisfied with their meal as well. Service - was great. I believe our server was Manuel, a cutie. But my receipt says Rakshman? So I'm not sure.

Came here to have dinner with colleagues. The restaurant is beautiful and has a very open concept. Our server was very attentive and assisted us with all our needs. We ordered a few appetizers which were all good and also several entrees which were not bad. The star of the show were the desserts. If you're ever downtown it's worth stopping by for a drink and dessert.

I really like the bar and restaurant concepts at The Four Seasons Houston. I've eaten at Toro Toro twice over the past year and both visits were good. 1st visit: HRW 2023 We had dinner on a Tuesday evening. We didn't realize that they have live music on Tuesday nights. The duo that performed were great, however the volume was extremely loud! We had a hard time hearing each other even though we were seated towards the back of the restaurant away from the band. I had the Tamarindo cocktail and I enjoyed it. I started with the Wedge Salad for my first course. It's pretty simple, but tasty. I really enjoyed the bacon on the salad. I subbed the poblano blue cheese dressing with ranch dressing. For my entree, I had the Salmon. It was really good and I enjoyed the bok choy that accompanied it. For dessert, I ordered the Churros. These were excellent! My dining companions and I tried each other's dishes and we all enjoyed everything we had. I can't recall our server's name, but she was really nice and did a great job. 2nd Visit: July 2024 I came with a group for my friend's birthday dinner. We were seated in a room off the main dining area. It was more quiet which was nice. We were initially near the fireplace, but it got hot very quickly so we were moved to a different table. The fireplace provided a nice ambiance, but we didn't need the additional heat! I started with a cocktail called Loquito Por Ti. It tasted like a spicy berry margarita. It was a pretty drink because of the butterfly pea flower and I wish I would have taken a photo if it. For my entree, I had the Zarandeado Red Snapper. It was so good! The grilled avocado with corn and the chayote salad were tasty too, however the chayote was salty. The flavors overall complimented each other well. My main criticism of this dish is the portion of the red snapper. It was soooo small (I would estimate about 4-5 oz.). It wasn't worth the price. I was hungry an hour later and ended up going back to Bayou and Bottle for a snack after having a drink at Bandista. Manuel was our server and he was excellent! All of the staff that waited on us were great! I like Toro Toro, but I would probably only come back for a special occasion or for HRW.

We walked and and you had to have reservations however they had 2 spots at the bar upstairs so we sat there. It was a fine dining place and we were a bit casual but still nice where we didn't stick out so terribly..lol SERVICE: We were probably at the bar I would say at least 10 mins before anyone greeted us. And 2 ladies to our right may have been there I would say about 15 mins before us, only b/c they didn't have anything in front of them just yet. Looked like thwy hadn't been there long, however, evwrytime I turned around this guy kept checking on them making sure they were good. He seemed to be some sort of manager. Anyhoo, finally a server came and greeted us. She had a unique name that now I have forgotten, but anyhoo, she was really nice. It was restaurante month there so we took advantage of there pre-made menu that came with a 3 course meal excluding drinks. We were served our drinks and not to long our apps. And the ladies next to us may have been 5 mins in between us ordering. However their food would come out fast. Once our apps were finished I know it had to have been 20 mins or longer before our food came out whereas the ladies next to use finished there apps not to long before us and had their food in the next 10 mins or so. They were actually just about done eating their main course and our food hadn't even came out yet. Then a server brought us over the desserts and I was like we hadn't had our meal yet. At this point I was a bit upset b/c I felt like since we were 2 women of color we were being over looked. There wasn't many ppl of color in this place. Matter-of-fact I think I only saw one other table that had ppl of color sitting at it. Other than that it was just us. So I th3n ask for a manager. He came, same guy that had been fawning over the ladies next to us, amd he gave some lame excuse for th3 delay and mix up with the desserts and offered us a glass of Champagne, I don't even like Champagne, he could have offered either a drink of our choice of maybe a bit off the bill for the delay. I understood it was busy, but they also know it was restaurant week and they wasn't a delay with the ladies next to us. So I felt like he was a bit dismissive and I did t appreciate it. If it hadn't been for the service or our waiter we might not have stayed. FOOD: Now I will say the food was soo good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the beef salad although it came stacked and looked so great and my friend had the meatballs which she raved about. For dinner we both had the salmon which was superb. So no complaints here. Then the desserts. I had the carrot cake and she had the chocolate genache cake. They were delightful AMBIANCE: It was packed but not uncomfortable it was just a lot of ppl. But it also was quite a big place. They had a downstairs, upstairs and an outside area, so lots of seating, however they were extremely full. The bar was quite roomy and luckily we were able to take the end corner part which was perfect, b/c not a lot of ppl passing by us. Like we had our own little section. All in all is was nice, I would only go back during restaurant month or with a date who was paging b/c outside the prepaid menu which was $55 (not including drinks) most meals went from $40-$200pp and that is no exaggeration. So yea it was quite the fine dining experience.

Good food and great ambiance. I feel like I struggle to find nice Italian restaurants in the city…read moreso this was a pleasant find. Recently went for a late dinner on my birthday and it was a good experience. I really enjoyed the aesthetics both externally and internally. While we were there music began being played on the piano, which I didn't know was something they did beforehand, so that was really nice. Our waiter had me doubtful at a point in time but in the end I really enjoyed their service. We took a while to decide but ordered the Tuscan Fried Chicken antipasto. It was taking forever and when we asked our waiter he said he didn't think we had decided on it and this was after we had ordered our entrees. At that point I figured I wouldn't want it because it would come out with the entrees. But nope! It ended up coming back really quickly and well before our entrees, which allowed us to enjoy it separately. Due to the mix-up and delay he ended up taking it off of our bill which was very generous of him. Upon finding out it was my birthday he also brought out complimentary in champagne. I'm never too proud to inquire about if a place offers a free birthday dessert so even though I don't always do a dessert I asked for the dessert menu. I later asked if they offered a complimentary birthday dessert to which you said yes but since I asked for the menu he wanted to allow me to order if I was going to get something else. But nope give me the free one lol. It was nice seeing a waiter happily taking photos of a group that was sitting nearby. Funny enough we thought to ask for photos after leaving our table and someone else working there happily took photos in multiple locations for us. So my service experience was great. Bread squares with Parmesan cheese are brought to the table. For me personally they were okay but not my favorite. I would have liked if the butter served with them was a little bit more whipped for an smoother spread. I don't remember precisely what cocktails were ordered but they were both pretty good. The Tuscan Fried Chicken with artichoke pieces was pretty good. I wish it had a little bit more umph flavor wise but it was good. I came for Italian food so I had all intentions of ordering a pasta dish for my main entree but after I went by and saw the dry age meat section that they had I knew I was going with a dry-aged steak. I ended up going with the 14 oz New York strip dry-aged 45 days. The steak was good And I went with the Italian Chimichurri sauce for it but wasn't much of a fan of the sauce. My date got the Gulf Red Snapper and requested to not have the head served with it. It was pretty decent and had a strong lemon flavor. I like the flavor profile on it but feel like it could have been a bit more balanced. I came for pasta and pasta I got. I ordered the piccolo Bolognese and it was my second favorite item of the night by far. Really good pasta, really good sauce, I was thoroughly pleased and felt like it was a large portion for the piccolo. The favorite item of the night by far not even close was the Smashed Potatoes. The potatoes themselves were just cooked so amazingly. They had the right amount of crisp outside with softness on the inside. I was not expecting them to wow me as they did. It came with a nice sauce that I believe was cheese based. They were delicious without the sauce but the sauce actually elevated them even more. 10 out of 10. The chocolate cake is the free birthday dessert and while it's not overly delicious and decadent it is a solid chocolate cake with very rich flavor. Marmo is a restaurant that I would readily attend again. Now step aside as I eat 10 more of those smashed potatoes!

The branzino was fresh and cooked well, but the seasoning was a little too subtle for me, so it didn't stand out as much as the other dishes. I also wasn't a huge fan of the cabbage. Overall though, Credence absolutely delivered. Great food, great service, beautiful atmosphere, and plenty of dishes I'd come back for.
