I enjoy their tacos at this Camelback location. Pillowy soft flour tortillas, stuffed with blackened salmon, black beans and corn relish, cotija cheese, and a line wedge with avocado sauce. Side of guacamole and chips to top it off. Friendly, fast and good, what more can you ask for. This place is always busy when I am here. Inside bar if you want to enjoy some drinks. Casual sit down, great for families.

If you're looking for a quick, solid, taco spot, Torchy's will do the trick. Our food came out quickly despite us having a large group. This order at the counter restaurant is quite large with open seating. While the tacos were quite good and decently filling, they were pretty steep at $6-$12 per taco. In my opinion, there are many taco spots in Phoenix with similar/better quality at a lower price point. The queso did stand out though and was very delicious!

Torchy's is reliable no matter the location. Ordering is fast w their touch screens but I appreciate that they still have someone to take orders as well. We went on a saturday afternoon for lunch, it was actually quite empty for lunch so our food came out quickly. Tried the jerk chicken torched bowl, it was very filling but I prefer the tacos. Was worth a shot. The interior was clean, just the standard torchy's location.

This trip not as good as the first! Food is delicious.. I must say...But this Taco Tuesday the lady at the counter was miserable. I mean... miserable. Even after leaving her a %20 tip....nothing. No response. Next time.... I'll use the kiosk and leave no tip. And I will return for the food.

Torchys was absolutely fire!! I was shocked by how good the food was. The trio was the perfect starter. I never expected the queso to so delicious. We literally got more to take home for later! All of the food was so good and fresh. I will be 100% coming back! Also- the restaurant is super clean and plenty of room! The staff is also amazing and so friendly!

We joined some friends her for Taco Tuesday. I've seen it driving down the road, but knew nothing about it. It is an order at the counter place, and the food is really amazing. We were all pleasantly surprised. I had the salmon salad which was $13.85, and we all agreed it was the best deal. I had it the second day for lunch as week. It was huge. My husband had a breakfast taco, because they have breakfast all day, and our friends had a couple of other tacos in the menu. We had a 22 ounce beer and it was normally, $7.15, but was a $1.50 off for happy hour, which is from 3 to 6. One of our friends had the house margarita, and said it was good. We received coupons for a free taco in our next visit and really are looking forward to going back.

Good food, great flavored tea selection! The margaritas looked good, will try one next time. Tried 2 different tacos and they did not disappoint! Very clean seating area. Great service by everyone we came in contact with.

From my visit 2/27/25. Carissa took order. She was helpful and explanatory. It was my first time and so she came from behind counter and pointed things out on the board for me and gave good recommendations. Also, Hayden at bar was cool!! Tacos were good .. but nothing spectacular

In May 2025, I tried this location solo and definitely ordered way too much as their menu just sounded too good not to order a few things. I did take leftovers to share at home, so no food was wasted and one dish ordered with intent to have leftovers. Always find these valley locations to have quick service and fairly personable. The lobby is always clean and cozy enough for a dine in meal.

Called in again! Miss the old joint, but this one's an acceptable option! Used to be by my son's former spot, but this one rocks!

Last year when we were in Texas, I had my first experience eating Torchy's Tacos. We loved it and were sad when we left that we didn't think we would ever experience this amazing restaurant chain again. Last week, we were in Phoenix AZ and stumbled across a Torchy's there. It was every bit as good as I remember from eating there in Texas. We started with the queso cheese dip and chips and also the guacamole and chips. I'm not usually a queso person but their queso dip is amazing. The guacamole is delicious as well. I ordered the Baja Shrimp taco in the bowl. I love that they offer that option because I'm not a corn or flour tortilla person. One taco in the bowl was plenty of food for me because I usually overeat the queso dip! My grandkids got the quesadilla kids meal that came with the option of beans and rice or tater tots. It also came with a drink and my grandkids loved that they could get horchata! If you are a tater tot person, definitely get a side order. They are way too good! My husband got the Moontower bowl. It is basically just a well made delicious salad. Our only complaint about Torchy's is if you want a side of salsa for you tacos, you have to ask for it and they bring you a little bit. Otherwise, you need to order the salsa and chips appetizer. I would love to see a Torchy's open in San Diego, but I guess I should be grateful there isn't on because I would be there every week!!

Let's be honest - no one comes here for the tacos , they come here for the bomb queso . They should rename jt Torchy's Queso . Tacos are maybe 3 stars, queso a solid 5

When I got married we had Tscos Huicho come at the end of our reception and served up street tacos to all of our inebriated friends and family. It was a hit! Literally nobody remembers the formal dinner meal we ate, but everyone remembers DEM TACOS! I'm not sure if they still do catering, but if they do, it is a fun crowd pleaser and affordable. The location is weird, like in a neighborhood. Just keep driving--you'll see it, but the first time I went there I thought I was lost and finally spotted it! They've remodeled and expanded the eating area which is great because before it was so busy and you felt crammed, but don't go expecting some high end taco shop. I felt like the fanciest person there when I went since I went on my lunch break in business casual. Honestly I don't care as long as the tacos keep coming out bomb.

While the line can be long, don't let it fool you because the service is quick and efficient! The restaurant is also adding a drive thru line, so that should help disperse the line inside of the restaurant. Even with how busy the restaurants can get, I've never had an issue finding a place to sit and eat. They make each item to order in front of you, you get to choose which toppings you want to add. I always order my items "con todo" with onion, cilantro, guacamole/crema, and salsa. This trip I ordered 3 especiales: caramelo (steak), gringa (pork), and gabacho (chicken). Unfortunately, they ran out of chicken, so I subbed for an extra gringa, my favorite of the 3. I also got an order of chips and queso, but be careful because the queso is addicting! They also have a help yourself salsa bar, but the salsas tend to be watery and not very flavorful. The orange one is my favorite, adds a good kick to the food. The pricing is reasonable, especially for the quality of food you get, even when I tend to over order. Overall, I will continue coming to Taco Viva any time I'm in the mood for some yummy tacos!

Sometimes the best meals happen because your original plan falls through. That was exactly the case…read morehere, and honestly... I'm not even a little mad about it. I ordered the veggie tacos with roasted sweet potatoes (skin on, which was absolutely the right call), pepitas, feta, and all the right toppings. Whoever prepped those sweet potatoes deserves a raise because they were cut into the perfect sized pieces. Every bite had a little sweetness, a little crunch, a little saltiness... it just worked. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. The salsa that came with them had this smoky, fire-roasted, chipotle flavor that kept me reaching for another chip... and then another... and then suddenly I realized I'd eaten way more chips than I intended. The bottled table salsas deserve their own paragraph because they completely confused me... in the best way. They bring three to the table... a green, a red, and a darker red. I kept tasting them individually thinking, "Okay, these are alright." Then I started mixing them. Game over. On their own, each one was solid. Mixed together? That was the magic. I don't know if that's what they intended or if I accidentally stumbled onto the perfect combination, but from that point on, every taco got the salsa trio treatment. The only tiny hiccup was when we first walked in. We were greeted, asked if we wanted menus, and sat ourselves. We waited for a bit thinking someone would come take our order, only to realize it's actually counter service. Once we figured that out, everything was smooth sailing. Not a big deal at all... just something first-time visitors might want to know. Follow the sign "order here" I also loved the layout. You can actually watch them making the food, which somehow makes the wait even harder because everything smells incredible. Two tacos ended up being the perfect light meal for me. Could I have eaten ten? Absolutely. Those two statements can both be true. Meanwhile, my dining partner polished off four barbacoa tacos and was talking about ordering two more. We only ended up here because another place happened to be closed, and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. This ended up being one of those meals we keep talked about on the drive home. Oh and the bathrooms?. I walked in and immediately thought, "Whoa... this is a cool bathroom" The lighting had this pinkish-purple glow that made me feel like I'd accidentally wandered into a trendy lounge instead of a taco shop. I honestly wasn't even sure there was regular lighting in there and I didn't look... because the vibe seemed so intentional. Finally, the music. .. upbeat, dance-worthy, the kind that had me bouncing in my seat while waiting for my food. Between the atmosphere, the lighting, and the music, the whole place had me want to hang out a little longer. Zero regrets. I'll absolutely be back... and next time I'm ordering more tacos.

Idk maybe I don't know where to look. Second, it's hot AF in here. I feel sorry for the guys cooking. It's 105 today and the restaurant is so small, it's probably impossible to keep cool during the summer. Finally, the food. It all tastes very fresh! NO SEED OILS is amazing. I feel like I have won something when I find a restaurant that uses olive oil and beef tallow to cook in. Best corn tortillas I have had for sure. We basically tried one of each taco. (Although some of the tacos we ordered were wrong, so we just kept adding) not a big deal, because they were delicious and we loved them. I felt like the carne was chewy but my husband loves chewier meat. The taco with the marlin was my favorite. And the one that came out kind of like a cheese crisp. It's loud in here and again the space is very small. They do not serve wine at all. But yummy margaritas! The bartender is working solo and working hard! She busted her butt and did an amazing job.
