I want to recommend this restaurant called El Rinconcito D.F. -- it's absolutely delicious! Everything has the perfect flavor, the food is cooked just right, and the portions are very generous. Honestly, I hadn't seen a place like this in Phoenix, Arizona. If you want to try truly authentic food, come here... you're going to love it! and I also wanna say thanks to my server. She was amazing thank you Jesse.

Al pastor, carne asada, barbacoa

Came here for lunch. Big seating space inside. Friendly staff. Tried their al pastor, carne asada, tripe and weekend special slow cooked lamb. My favorites were the Asada and al pastor. Portions of meats were huge! Especially for 2.50 a taco. Sides they bring some onions, cilantro, green/red sauce. I enjoyed the spicy kick the red sauce had. Wish they had more toppings to go on taco. I also tried their fresa de crema but thought it was okay.

Went for a late lunch to this quaint little restaurant. Appears to be family owned and operated. Service was excellent and the food tasty. We ordered different meat tacos. The meat was overflowing. Enough to make 2 tacos. Also ordered was tinga quesadillas and beef huarache. Definitely coming back.

Ordered a carne asada burro to go and got a huge generous portion of each of their salsas. I call it, the Xmas blend xD

Recently stumbled upon place while I was up late and feeling like I wanted to big back it. Called them up at a little before 10pm and they still picked up right away and confirmed they can still prepare orders. I ordered their carne asada burrito with beans, cilantro, and cheese. Once I arrived, I found it to be a hole in the wall place which got me excited bc iykyk. Service was prompt and friendly. They gave me two ziploc bags full of salsa verde and salsa roja (very generous portions compared to other places that give you 1 dinky to go cup of each). The burrito itself is huge and they do NOT skimp out on the meat. My only knock on it is that I wish it was a tad bit less salty. I felt my BP going up during the meal xD. After my first experience, I explored their website and reviewed their weekend menu which offers barbacoa on Saturdays and carnitas on Sundays. I love both so I ended up swinging by the following Sunday to order a lb of their carnitas to try. I forgot to request tortillas and other sides. I had flour tortillas at home but I do not prefer them for tacos, just quesadillas. The carnitas were seasoned decently, was fatty as expected with carnitas, but I wish it was a bit more tender. Will definitely be back on a Saturday eventually to try their barbacoa.

Food was okay- I think salty without a good component of spices. Tortillas seemed to be made in house which was nice but very dry. Never tried a huarache, so I tried the costillo but it's crazy hard to cut and crazy chewy. Service from the aunty was nice, but we had to call them out from the back (the mid afternoon time we went, it was one chef aunty and the cashier aunty in the back). The cashier aunty spoke 99% Spanish and 1% English, fortunately my high school Spanish was minimally sufficient for the transaction but would've liked to ask more about the food No sign outside and inside was empty.

One of the best food experiences I have ever had. Very friendly and hard working staff. The food was great, definitely recommend the lengua and pastor tacos. They piled it high with meat and it was melt in your mouth good!

Hands down one of the best if not the best Mexican food spots in the valley with handmade tortillas freshly made agua frescas carnitas barbacoa and all the above on this trip I got the chilaquiles they didn't disappoint crisp crunchy and spicy the trifecta and a big shout to our waiter Jose make sure you ask for him and all in all this places makes the must have list with out a doubt

I wanted to try tacos al pastor which brought us to this place. We weren't sure about the place when we arrived as the plaza and surrounding neighborhood doesn't do justice to this restaurant. We went here for the food, not the ambiance.. and we were glad that we did. We ordered a torta and some pastor tacos to share. They were both very delicious and filling. It kept us going for a long day of exploring in Phoenix.

Now these are Tacos !

I absolutely love everything about their tacos !! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll let my photo do the talking.

I remember coming to this taco place uff like 5 years ago. I was driving by the other day and saw they were open and I immediately went inside, I know the outside make look sketchy but food is worth it. Is kinda like you are back in mexico for a instance, they have the trompo outside , the disco inside with all sorts of different meats , but my top top are the pastor tacos no doubt with that slide of pineapple

Barbacoa served with rice and garbanzos

This place was soooo good! A small hole in the wall full of flavor and great customer service! Portions are great for the prices too.

Super slow service, very bland food. Chips were stale. While it's no frills for sure, they don't check up on you thru the meal.

I'm so glad we finally went to try Casa Corazon. We met with a friend visiting from out of town…read moreduring lunch, and everyone absolutely loved it. The restaurant is inside of an old brick home with wood interior and warm colors. The service was good-- friendly and food came out at a good pace, we were checked on regularly. We ordered an appetizer and then entrees from the lunch menu. The aguachile appetizer is SO good. It's bright, fresh, and has a lot of flavor in the green sauce. It reminds me of a ceviche type dish due to its raw butterflied shrimp that is marinated in the house made chile serrano & cilantro citrus sauce. It was awesome. We were also given free chips & house made bean dip. I ordered the mixed two item plate with a chile rellano and taco corazon (grilled taco dipped in a red chile sauce, stuffed with shredded beef & melted cheese. Topped with grilled onions). The black beans and rice is also tasty. I tried a bite of the other dishes, and I also really liked the brightly colored spinach & cheese enchiladas with pink sauce ( signature beet sauce). I look forward to trying other items from the menu, I was eyeing the steak Mexicano or red snapper. Those dishes sound good for dinner.

The restaurant has a small bar of three seats to enjoy some drinks.. initially we were just going to have margaritas for six dollars during happy hour but decided to have guacamole as well for $10 on happy hour. Guacamole was excellent and came with a bean dip. To complement, our guacamole and chips we checked out the salsa bar. The salsa bar has over six choices of salsa. One of my favorite salsas was hibiscus. We enjoyed our quick happy hour so much that we hope to come back for dinner as I see Mole is on the menu. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I hear that they have open a second venue not too far from the original place. They have an event venue. Their original place is in a former church. The architecture inside is very interesting due to the roof structure.

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.
