We have eaten at Taco Boys for years and noted that I have never reviewed them. They are a street taco stand with several locations. The 32nd street is a newer site. The floors are stained concrete, plastic chairs and a large salsa bar. The music today was so loud that a conversation across the table was impossible. I have never been in a restaurant that the music was that loud before. Food is ordered at the counter and then picked up once ready. We started with chips and salsa, carne asada and el pastor tacos and flour tortillas. The meat was grizzly but the tacos were stuffed. The el pastor meat was fine but could of used more flavor, perhaps a hint of pineapple would be nice. To be honest, Taco Boys are simple street tacos with a large salsa bar. The meats are fair, decent price point, and flame cooked over charcoal. For what they are, they are fine, use to be better. In that neighborhood there are other great options that are not blaring music. You need to be the judge and tell us what you think. read more

I ordered through door dash yesterday, March 8th., chicken items. I got severe diarrhea. I believe it was caused by food poisoning as The location is temporarily closed today. Such a great spot. My favorite was the barbacoa quesadilla, which was pretty oily at first, but with the addition of some lettuce, onions, and salsa it was absolutely phenomenal. This location is more spacious than the Tempe location and has its own designated parking lot. Everything else is just as consistent as the other locations. It has a full bar as well. Food, price and portion has always been 10/10, even it did get more expensive over the years it is still very reasonable when compared elsewhere. IMO their vampiros aren't as good as their tacos so I'd stick to the tacos. Their flour tortillas are the best! And so cheap to order some extra on the side too. read more

In December I had the opportunity to eat at Taco Boys. The open kitchen was great as you see the food being made and see the many options for food. I decided to have some tacos and was not disappointed. The taco meat was fresh and the salsa bar had the heat level you would look for. The meats tasted great and were very filling. Really good food. Decent portion size but a bit pricey. I got a carne asada burrito and it was packed with steak, but note the burritos are just meat and cheese (& beans if you want). Last weekend, I spent my birthday out in Phoenix and the only thing I could think about I wanted to eat were tacos. My friend who lives out there said that this place is amazing and she did not tell one lie I don't have that many pictures because I was so greedy, but I will say that the customer service was on point! They are open late night, and it is definitely cooked to order extra fresh! My husband and daughter are obsessed with the pastor tacos at Taco Boys and for good reason! I finally had the chance to visit myself and while I tasted and was impressed with the pastor tacos, the chicken quesadilla is more my jam! A friend of ours had a taco platter and that looked awesome too. Service is friendly and fast and the "salad bar" is clean and offers some great salsas, fresh cabbage, lime, and cucumber. It's not the most eco-friendly but it's easy on the wallet and you can walk away with a full belly for a very fair price. We'll be back! read more

Got two carne asada burritos and they have them down as $11.99 on the menu. When they ask you if you want them with everything they dont tell you about the 3 hidden charges. One charge for meat? (why am I paying $12 for it then). Two more charges for beans and cheese. I thought this was included in the price, if it isn't then why is it being advertised as $12. This didn't used to be the case. I'm pretty upset about it but I was already here so might as well pay the $3 extra dollars. No frills taco joint. Just how I like it. Got two pollo tacos and side of beans (wish they had some rice-but not a big issue). The Tempe location is a 10/10 I would recommend it to any friend any day of the week. This location was sharply disappointing. The staff was unwelcoming and the food did not match the quality nor freshness of the Tempe location. The carne asade was left sitting in oil for a decent amount of time before being served. The flavor became bland and it was pure grease. If you want good Mexican go to the Tempe location or tacos and more across the street. Do not waste your time with this one. read more

I've eaten a ton of carne asada over the years and this place has the best carne asada I've ever had. They grill it on mesquite and the flavor is incredible. I had to go back to the register to order more. The guy at the register said next time to order an asada plate as it's a better deal than getting multiple tacos. The pastor was good but kinda greasy and the asada is too good to get anything else. If you get corn tortillas, you get 2 tortillas per taco and can make 2 tacos out of 1! Loved the salsa bar. I was driving down the street today...minding my own business, when I looked to the side and saw Taco Boys. I've heard of them, but never knew they were so close to my house. So instead of going home to cook myself lunch, I decided to stop on in for a Friday treat! I'm trying to save money so I can purchase a house...laughable in this economy I know.. so I ordered a small pastor quesadilla for $5. There was no false advertising- it's definitely small. Awesome experience here! Came in around 8pm on a Tuesday night, It was on the busier side. Short line and all the seats were taken. The wait was a little long but understandable with how busy it was. My husband and I shared the Barbacoa Quesadilla... it was huge. definitely a good portion size to share and well worth it for the price you pay. it came with the meat and cheese but in the middle of the seating area is "buffet style" toppings (lettuce, pickles onions, salsa's, pico, etc. I really like this because you can customize your food how you like it! My daughter had a cheese quesadilla which was the perfect size for a toddler! The workers were very nice and super patient. The man taking our order let us sample some juice and horchata! beside it being busy, it was a friendly/welcoming environment. lots of families enjoying dinner and they had some Halloween decor too! I had Taco Boy's in 2022, after hearing many good things. I ended up getting the worst food poisoning I've ever had. It lasted almost a week, and affected my ability to work. I swore this place off, especially after reading about how they have numerous health code violations, and other people have complained of the same thing on Yelp. Well, I was on the way to an appointment for work, but I was very early, and for some reason (people talking it up all the time lately) decided to give Taco Boy's another chance (I'd never been to the 32nd st one). I got a Pastor and an Asada taco. The place was packed, and the staff was incredibly rude. They clearly didn't want to be working, and it felt like a bunch of kids out of high school working together, no structure at all. I honestly can't imagine who would have been the manager. That did give me a bad feeling, because no matter the restaurant you always feel there is some sort of accountability. Within 3 hours, I was extremely ill. I honestly couldn't believe it, but also am not surprised given it's happened before! I just don't understand, how the place can be so packed, and everyone isn't sick. My guess is it's the pork, not the asada, and that 90% of people are buying the asada. When I got sick in 2022, I only had the pastor. I've had pastor at so many different restaurants, food trucks, taquerias. It also didn't taste good, though the asada was good. They need a health inspector to come, I guarantee there is something bad about how they store their pork, and it is truly scary. That is how you get parasites, like it can actually kill people. I will make sure no one I know ever eats there again. read more
