Boat Noodle

This place is very quiet and I feel very relaxed every time I eat here. The service is always pleasant. The food is delicious! I ordered their Boat Noodle and I must say, it's legit! I'm very picky when it comes to my boat noodle!

Pad See Ew Noodle

I am not kidding when I say this place serves the best pad see ew of my life here. Like my ideal pad see ew brought to life. Super flavorful, with bouncy wok-crispy noodles. I've never had pad see ew noodles like that ever. They're generous with their noodle portion too. Service was also very friendly and attentive. The interior is very homey. Their music playlist is chill covers of pop songs, which was very relaxing. It was easy to make conversation over the music but also to eat in silence enjoying the music. My favorite Thai place ever! Please never leave!!

Satay (4 Pieces)
Inday C.

Food was authentic, tasty and spiced as requested. We had chicken satay which was lightly buttered and fried and the peanut sauce was delicious. Chicken satay is usual grilled but the fried one was good as well. We shared Mango chicken which was battered and fried in a light sauce with chunks of mango and pad Thai with chicken. Both dishes were mildly spiced and there was just a little kick to it. I can't handle spicy food. I had the panang chicken and it was definitely yummy in a mild sauce. My son in law had red curry chicken, in a mild to spicy sauce and it was just right for him. He was sweating though! There was only one server and she was efficient and detailed, very friendly. The restaurant is not fancy but clean and nicely laid out. This is a must visit and simple place to enjoy Thai food!

Well that what's left after 3 of us stuffed our gords. 1 serving is enough for a person nuts sharing your gonna need a doooogie bag.

Great food across the board. Best Thai in Lincoln with nice sizable portions at a reasonable price. The staff and servers are wonderful and do a great job. We go here on a regular basis and have yet to be dissatisfied. Check this place out you will be glad you did!!!

Pad Thai

Last week, I stopped at Top Thai in Lincoln for lunch. Thai food has always been my comfort, and Pad Thai is my go-to. During pregnancy, I ate it so much my kid came out with noodles in his hand. This time, I ordered the Pad Thai, and it hit just right. Flavor was solid, not too sweet, and the noodles had a nice bite. One part was a little soggy, maybe the veggies, but it didn't ruin the plate. Most of the time, my son loves whatever I order, but Pad Thai is his favorite too. He kept pulling my plate closer like it was his. Only reason it's four stars is the wait felt a bit long, and the inside is simple. It's clean and comfortable, just not a sit-down and hang vibe for me. For sure, I'll be back. Pad Thai stays number one. Four stars today, but next time could be five

I ordered takeout from Topthai Kitchen yesterday. This was my first time trying this restaurant. The to go packaging ... and more importantly, the food was very good. My order included Wonton Soup, Shrimp Tempura, Orange Mango Chicken and Jasmine Rice. The Soup was marvelous - it came loaded with meaty pork wonton along with shredded cabbage, carrots and cilantro. I very much also enjoyed the Shrimp Tempura - not too much batter on the shrimp and, more shrimp meat than often provided at other restaurants. The Orange Mango Chicken was better than average and complimented the Jasmine Rice very well. Competitively price ..... I shall return.

Yelp comes through again. We were looking to grab some food in the area so of course we have to head on yelp. This is a little gem out in Lincoln. Seems like it is family operated. Place was slow since it was 3 pm. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. They give you the spices and other things on the side so that there isn't a question of spice level. We got the usual. Beef curry, pad Thai, fried roll and papaya salad. Everything was very good. Prices are very reasonable as well with most of the menu being around 13-15$. Will definitely be back if we are in the area.

Green curry with chicken after I have eaten most of it already

Just had lunch special today and I ordered the green curry with chicken and my wife ordered the red curry with chicken. They were both excellent Food came out piping hot! When is the last time you had a meal in a restaurant where the food is actually hot? This is definitely going to be our go to restaurant for Thai food. Last time I came I had the eggplant delight with pork and it was also very tasty. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu as the many excellent reviews from recent patrons all rave about the food. On top of this we were able to meet and chat with the owner. She is so nice and friendly. She's only been back for a couple of months so I encourage everyone to give Topthai Kitchen a try. You will be very glad you did! We need to support our local restaurants if we want them to be around for awhile.

I headed over and arrived nearly to the minute. The order wasn't quite ready, which is unusual, but no problem as it only too approx. 10 more minutes, and I was not in a rush. This time I had a difficult time deciding on an appetizer, and opted for the Crab and Cream cheese Wontons, which comes with a nice sweet and sour sauce. They were good, crunchy and the filling delicious. Eggplant dishes are a favorite so I chose the Pad Eggplant w/pork. It was flavorful and very well prepared with just enough sauce. The Pad Kee Noodles (Drunken Noodles) were fantastic as always although I found the chicken selection somewhat chewy. My all time favorite, the Pineapple Fried Rice was right on target and super good. The past couple of times the flavor and amount of pineapple had diminished some, but this was back to awesome status. Usually I get one of the larger salads too, but this time opted for a smaller Cucumber Salad which was perfect. Fresh with an excellent variety of veggies to really compliment the meal off well. I got medium spice for nearly everthing. It was fine for me although quite apparent. I worried about Ed as he's more sensitive. He didn't mention it so I guess it passed the test for both of our spiciness levels. I really recommend this place and although prices can seem high the quality and quantity matches the value.

So the chaos was kept to a minimum. When it was our turn to dine in, the staff were fast and efficient with bringing a carafe of water and glasses to the table. Our food came out in less than 5 minutes of being seated. I had the black garlic tonkatsu (thin noodles) and my husband had the chicken paitan (thin noodles). The pork broth and the chashu were flavorful and tender. The chicken broth was good with a light creamy layer of flavor. The chicken chashu were nice cuts of white meat. The restaurant is on the smaller side and is cutely decorated with all the holidays (check out the ghost near the restroom), anime, and other Japanese motif. There are also shelves of Japanese snacks, candy, and knick knacks for sale. Congrats to the owners and staff of Umami Ramen-Lincoln on 1 year in business! Automatically taking in the ambience of the restaurant, it felt really clean and has a nice dim light that makes the dining experience feel private. The service was very attentive and they'll do a temperature check on how the food is with you after you receive your meal and they were all genuinely very friendly. 10/10 for the service, no doubt. For food, we ordered their "Fukumi Ramen" and their chicken karaage . Chicken karaage came out first and was freshly fried. The coating was amazingly light and the chicken itself was flavorful. It comes served with a lemon wedge and tiny pieces of salad and the dressing in the salad was delicious! For the Fukumi Ramen bowl itself, the initial taste of the broth was flavorful and the black garlic oil was a nice touch. You'll immediately notice how thickkkk their chasu slices are and I think the free order of extra noodles is a nice plus. However, the thin noodles served with the Fukumi Ramen bowl seemed like a lighter color than I normally see at ramen places and the noodles were overcooked so I feel like it obscured the overall taste of the ramen itself since ramen noodles make up so much of the bite. Even though the extra noodles were free and a nice complimentary addition, I feel like I could tell why because the ramen noodles lacked the quality the rest of the bowl had. The tamago egg was decent and I was surprised because it looked like a plain white boiled egg rather than the traditional brown seasoned egg you get in ramen. Overall, I think Fukumi Ramen can do the job of satisfying a cold rainy day, and I think with their wide variety of ramen options, you'll definitely have to try and find one that might hit for you! Portions are huge here too so it might take a couple visits to try more options!

The soup dumplings xlbs had perfect, delicate skins and were incredibly juicy; the classic pork and the crab & pork were my favorites. The pork xlb had tender meat and was juicy, flavor was clean, the crab one is definitely for the seafood lovers, it has a nice SF umaminess too like a crab roe fishball lol. Other standouts included the spicy wontons in a great chili oil sauce and the truffle Angus beef fried rice, which featured surprisingly tender beef and a subtle, well-balanced truffle flavor. For dessert, the chocolate xlb, was excellent and tasted just like a strawberry Nutella crepe, though the matcha version was a bit too concentrated and bitter for my liking. Overall, the food came out quickly, the staff was friendly, and the service was great. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

There's a nice parking lot and, the collection of restaurants/stores in this little plaza give a nice vibe. There isn't a ton of seating inside; you kinda get an idea from some of the various Yelp pics.... and, there are a couple tables outside as well. The Food: - Pork Xiao Long Bao: this was fine...... I guess it's about as good as my memory of Journey to the Dumpling. Honestly, I'd say it's in the ballpark of goodness as the frozen Mila XLBs you can buy at Costco. again, Din Tai Fung has kinda ruined XLBs everywhere else I've gone since no one else comes close. - Spicy Pork Xiao Long Bao: this had an odd tanginess to it.. like there was a bit of kimchi in it or something... I didn't care for it (and, I do happen to love kimchi).. and, it wasn't very spicy either. pass on this one. - Spicy Wonton: this was probably the best thing I had here. it was fine. not particularly spicy. and a bit salty. but, it was fine. - Pan-Fried Juicy Pork Buns: I think the filling in this is the same as the XLBs... you just get it in a pan-fried bun instead. I think I actually preferred the regular XLBs bc the larger size of this thing made it kinda hard to eat. - Garlic Noodle: I don't know what I was expecting here... and, I know I shouldn't expect Crustacean (just like I shouldn't expect Din Tai Fung) bc this certainly wasn't anything like Crustacean. These were okay.... the flavor of oyster sauce dominated my palate in an unpleasant way. - Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings: these were okay. they ask if you want them spicy or mild. I got mine mild, but I probably should've gotten it spicy. The outside was nice and crispy, but the wing itself was kinda bland despite being covered with chopped garlic. Other things: - The food comes out fairly quickly & scalding hot..... so, don't burn your mouth! - I'd never really thought about it before, but every place that serves XLBs should also have spoons with flat bottoms; this place does not have flat-bottomed spoons. I like to rest my XLBs in my soup spoon while it cools, and since these spoons had rounded bottoms, my dumpling was always kinda lying sideways. - There's only one single-room unisex bathroom in the back, which is probably fine for the size of the restaurant; though, I did get stuck waiting behind a couple people when I needed to use it. so, I guess if you're not an XLB snob like myself & find Journey to the Dumpling and frozen Mila XLBs to be fantastic, then you may like this place quite a bit.... but I was rather disappointed....

We sat indoors at a window booth. The interior on first glance appears upscale and nicely appointed until one looks closer at the abundance of artifical flowers and plants engulfing the upper perimeter of the room. I have found at both pick up and this time eating in that the service is not overly friendly, just matter of fact and bordering on surly. No one appears to be enjoying their job. Nonetheless the food is consistently good, and the prime reason for a visit. The menu is broad and there are many choices from the usual Thai dishes plus a good array of seafood. This time I selected the Thai Chow Mein with my selection of tofu for the protein. I ordered it "spicy", one step below "Thai Spice". I ordered it with a Saporro beer on tap. Service and delivery of food was prompt and the dish look very appealing and appetizing. All of the flavors were absolutely delicious and the chow mein noodles tasty and perfectly cooked. The tofu was good and nicely cooked as well, still tender and lightly toasted on the outside. I found the spiciness level just OK under what I was expecting and hoped for, which hasn't been the case with my other takeout or delivery orders. Orchid Thai is a good, consistent restaurant. I will definitely continue to have them as a 'go-to' option for delicious Thai food.
