Boat Noodle

This place is very quiet and I feel very relaxed every time I eat here. The service is always pleasant. The food is delicious! I ordered their Boat Noodle and I must say, it's legit! I'm very picky when it comes to my boat noodle!

Pad See Ew Noodle

I am not kidding when I say this place serves the best pad see ew of my life here. Like my ideal pad see ew brought to life. Super flavorful, with bouncy wok-crispy noodles. I've never had pad see ew noodles like that ever. They're generous with their noodle portion too. Service was also very friendly and attentive. The interior is very homey. Their music playlist is chill covers of pop songs, which was very relaxing. It was easy to make conversation over the music but also to eat in silence enjoying the music. My favorite Thai place ever! Please never leave!!

Satay (4 Pieces)
Inday C.

Food was authentic, tasty and spiced as requested. We had chicken satay which was lightly buttered and fried and the peanut sauce was delicious. Chicken satay is usual grilled but the fried one was good as well. We shared Mango chicken which was battered and fried in a light sauce with chunks of mango and pad Thai with chicken. Both dishes were mildly spiced and there was just a little kick to it. I can't handle spicy food. I had the panang chicken and it was definitely yummy in a mild sauce. My son in law had red curry chicken, in a mild to spicy sauce and it was just right for him. He was sweating though! There was only one server and she was efficient and detailed, very friendly. The restaurant is not fancy but clean and nicely laid out. This is a must visit and simple place to enjoy Thai food!

Well that what's left after 3 of us stuffed our gords. 1 serving is enough for a person nuts sharing your gonna need a doooogie bag.

Great food across the board. Best Thai in Lincoln with nice sizable portions at a reasonable price. The staff and servers are wonderful and do a great job. We go here on a regular basis and have yet to be dissatisfied. Check this place out you will be glad you did!!!

Pad Thai

Last week, I stopped at Top Thai in Lincoln for lunch. Thai food has always been my comfort, and Pad Thai is my go-to. During pregnancy, I ate it so much my kid came out with noodles in his hand. This time, I ordered the Pad Thai, and it hit just right. Flavor was solid, not too sweet, and the noodles had a nice bite. One part was a little soggy, maybe the veggies, but it didn't ruin the plate. Most of the time, my son loves whatever I order, but Pad Thai is his favorite too. He kept pulling my plate closer like it was his. Only reason it's four stars is the wait felt a bit long, and the inside is simple. It's clean and comfortable, just not a sit-down and hang vibe for me. For sure, I'll be back. Pad Thai stays number one. Four stars today, but next time could be five

I ordered takeout from Topthai Kitchen yesterday. This was my first time trying this restaurant. The to go packaging ... and more importantly, the food was very good. My order included Wonton Soup, Shrimp Tempura, Orange Mango Chicken and Jasmine Rice. The Soup was marvelous - it came loaded with meaty pork wonton along with shredded cabbage, carrots and cilantro. I very much also enjoyed the Shrimp Tempura - not too much batter on the shrimp and, more shrimp meat than often provided at other restaurants. The Orange Mango Chicken was better than average and complimented the Jasmine Rice very well. Competitively price ..... I shall return.

Yelp comes through again. We were looking to grab some food in the area so of course we have to head on yelp. This is a little gem out in Lincoln. Seems like it is family operated. Place was slow since it was 3 pm. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. They give you the spices and other things on the side so that there isn't a question of spice level. We got the usual. Beef curry, pad Thai, fried roll and papaya salad. Everything was very good. Prices are very reasonable as well with most of the menu being around 13-15$. Will definitely be back if we are in the area.

Green curry with chicken after I have eaten most of it already

Just had lunch special today and I ordered the green curry with chicken and my wife ordered the red curry with chicken. They were both excellent Food came out piping hot! When is the last time you had a meal in a restaurant where the food is actually hot? This is definitely going to be our go to restaurant for Thai food. Last time I came I had the eggplant delight with pork and it was also very tasty. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu as the many excellent reviews from recent patrons all rave about the food. On top of this we were able to meet and chat with the owner. She is so nice and friendly. She's only been back for a couple of months so I encourage everyone to give Topthai Kitchen a try. You will be very glad you did! We need to support our local restaurants if we want them to be around for awhile.

I headed over and arrived nearly to the minute. The order wasn't quite ready, which is unusual, but no problem as it only too approx. 10 more minutes, and I was not in a rush. This time I had a difficult time deciding on an appetizer, and opted for the Crab and Cream cheese Wontons, which comes with a nice sweet and sour sauce. They were good, crunchy and the filling delicious. Eggplant dishes are a favorite so I chose the Pad Eggplant w/pork. It was flavorful and very well prepared with just enough sauce. The Pad Kee Noodles (Drunken Noodles) were fantastic as always although I found the chicken selection somewhat chewy. My all time favorite, the Pineapple Fried Rice was right on target and super good. The past couple of times the flavor and amount of pineapple had diminished some, but this was back to awesome status. Usually I get one of the larger salads too, but this time opted for a smaller Cucumber Salad which was perfect. Fresh with an excellent variety of veggies to really compliment the meal off well. I got medium spice for nearly everthing. It was fine for me although quite apparent. I worried about Ed as he's more sensitive. He didn't mention it so I guess it passed the test for both of our spiciness levels. I really recommend this place and although prices can seem high the quality and quantity matches the value.

We decided to stay in and do takeout last night, and it was just as good as dining in. We got their Thai Chow Mein and got it "crazy spicy." They have different levels of spice and "crazy spicy" is the spiciest. If you like a real kick, their highest spice level is the way to go. My husband usually sticks with his favorite, the chicken satay with peanut sauce, which is consistently delicious. I also grabbed a Thai Iced Tea, which was super refreshing.  When I went in to pick up our order, I noticed they've updated the decor recently and it looks really nice. In the past, we've come by on weekend evenings when they have live music, which adds such a great vibe. It's also super convenient because there's usually plenty of parking in the lot. It's just a solid, welcoming spot for the community.

We sat indoors at a window booth. The interior on first glance appears upscale and nicely appointed until one looks closer at the abundance of artifical flowers and plants engulfing the upper perimeter of the room. Plus it could use some sprucing up as well. Overall if you don't look too hard it's nice enough. I have found at both pick up and this time eating in that the service is not overly friendly, just matter of fact and bordering on surly. No one appears to be enjoying their job. Nonetheless the food is consistently good, and the prime reason for a visit. The menu is broad and there are many choices from the usual Thai dishes plus a good array of seafood. This time I selected the Thai Chow Mein with my selection of tofu for the protein. I ordered it "spicy", one step below "Thai Spice". I ordered it with a Saporro beer on tap. Service and delivery of food was prompt and the dish look very appealing and appetizing. All of the flavors were absolutely delicious and the chow mein noodles tasty and perfectly cooked. The tofu was good and nicely cooked as well, still tender and lightly toasted on the outside. I found the spiciness level just OK under what I was expecting and hoped for, which hasn't been the case with my other takeout or delivery orders. Orchid Thai is a good, consistent restaurant. I will definitely continue to have them as a 'go-to' option for delicious Thai food.

The location in Loomis is a little off the beaten path (you think you are leaving town), and in a super small strip mall. Step inside and you find a cute little family owned restaurant that will make you wonder "where did I just get transported to?"... A few tables in the front room and a second dining area to the right. It is important to note that you MUST be patient! There is only the owner running the front of house here. She is doing everything. Super friendly, and being as quick as she can to get tables cleared, people seated, orders taken and served. She does all of this with the most wonderful smile and personality. You will immediately fall in love with her. Many of the diners on this particular night already knew her and appeared to have long standing relationships with the family. We came in on a Saturday evening around 5:15pm and the floor was packed. It remained that way until around 6:30pm. I would suggest coming in later in the evening so the 'regulars' can get in and out. Ok, so now on to the food and why the Green Elephant is such a standout. Everything is super fresh, and flavorful with great depth in the sauces. We started with the tea leaf salad, and pork lumpia. Then Panang chicken and spicy garlic pepper pork and an order of rice. We love spicy food, and requested such (she has a spice scale of 1-10). Our mains were a level 7 and that was sufficient to give us good heat without compromising the flavors. She will also bring you a small dish of chili pepper oil if you want even more heat. By the time we were finished, the floor had cleared, so we know now to arrive a little later. But, return we will !!!

The interiors are cozy and thoughtfully done, creating a calm, inviting atmosphere. The food is exquisite, clearly made with care and experience -- flavors that stay with you long after the meal. Yes, there can be long wait times, but it's absolutely worth it. This is not fast food; it's food made with heart. A place that reminds you why small, family-run restaurants are so special Highly recommended if you're in Loomis and don't mind slowing down for something truly memorable.

The presentation was great. There was however no consensus on the enjoyment of the multiple dishes. A big mix of meh/okay/good. I think a lot of it had to do with any dishes with chicken - the chicken in a few dishes were a tad bit too dry. We requested for all dishes to be mild (just in case), and one of the dishes was extremely spicy for some of the party. Overall, I'd like to give this location another shot solo - some dishes just taste better with different types of protein (for me).

It was a lot of food, but I've learned House of Thai Rice & Noodle is best enjoyed family style where you get to enjoy a few things. The pricing is very reasonable for the portions and the flavor on the dishes is so good! I don't know what they do with their Chow Fun, but the noodles were so flavorful, soft and fluffy and didn't need any extra sauce. The Tom Kha soup is a comfort food for me and this is always a great option. I forgot to order rice with my curry, but eating it like a soup is equally satisfying. I've tried a lot of spots around here since I work nearby, and this has been on my list for a while because of how highly it's regarded. It was busy at lunchtime, but we were seated immediately and brought iced waters. The menu is huge with a lot of great classic options. We ordered the angel wings (personal favorite), pad see ew with fried tofu, and red curry with fried tofu and rice. Everything came out very quickly and was nicely plated. The curry had a great mix of vegetables, always love the tender eggplant the most, and it was rich, but not overly heavy, with great flavor. The pad see ew was also delicious, smokey, and had a nice mix of cabbage and broccoli, which I've never seen before but actually really liked. It was nice getting something other than just straight noodles. Angel wings are a longtime favorite and brought me right back to childhood dinners at Thai restaurants with my family. Not every spot has them, so I had to order them when I saw them on the menu. They were delicious, just how I remembered, and plated nicely with a light, flavorful sauce. The food overall was excellent and service was attentive. My only note is I should've asked for spice. I think they assumed we didn't want any heat, which is probably typical for most people, but I definitely prefer some spice in my Thai food and I appreciate when they ask. We were also two people at a six-person table since that's all that was available, so felt a little bad about that. Toward the end, they sat a single diner with us, which was a bit awkward to be honest, but luckily we were finishing up. Overall really good experience. Just remember to ask for spice if you want it, and maybe consider takeout if it's busy and don't want to share a table.
