I've been a loyal customer of China Villa for 10 years. Not sure why it took me so long to write a review. Anyway, the food here is awesome! We love their lunch specials and family dinners. They have huge portions, so most of the time we have leftovers - which we eat for lunch or dinner the next day. The ambience is typical family friendly Chinese restaurant. The aunties here are so nice and the food always comes out hot and service is fast. We also never ran out of water, which my husband really loves and I believe is a sign of great service,

I have a gluten allergy and asked if Mongolian beef could be made gluten free. The server told me that the ONLY thing in their restaurant I could eat was chicken and vegetables. The menu is long with many options but not if you have a gluten allergy. Very disappointed. Wont be back.

Had an amazing dinner at China Villa. Great selection of dishes boasting with flavor. Service was fast and our water cups were never empty. Do yourself a favor and support this small, family owned business!

Have not been in here in years. My family just came back from my mothers funeral and wanted something nearby. We usually go to South Sac for real Chinese dinner. There were 14 of us. I called ahead to see if they had room and she said that we had to be split in 2 tables. They did not have one large enough. They definitely cater to the Americanized version. We had to ask for chopsticks. Forks were on the table. The whole chicken did not include the head or feet nor did they serve any feet for that matter. Did not order whole fish because I didn't see it. The aquarium was just that. No fresh fish. Food was overall good. Only item I didn't care for was the pot stickers. There was something in it that didn't taste good but that was just me i think. Portions were fair to the price. Peking ribs had a lot of bone, little meat. Service was good. There are lunch specials for less than $20. I would come back again.

I am not sure why I've never left a review as I've loved this place for more than 10 years!! They're constantly delicious. Maybe a bit greaser than I'd prefer, but still very consistent and good. My favorite dish is the hunan chicken and I add broccoli. Perfect combo of spicy chicken and veggies with a light sauce.

There were few restaurants and no such thing as fast food. Family... We loved it because we would see my Uncle and Auntie and sit at a large round table and enjoy a great variety of dishes we shared with the whole family , of course only on special occasions. This was well before the Pandas of the world, today's fast food, take out evolution and I can't say that it's better other than the variety of Taiwan, Sichuan, Asian fusion highly creative dishes, every type of Chinese food you can think of. Moo Goo Gai Pan is an Americanized version of a Cantonese dish, Chicken with Mushrooms. Chang Bros prepares a stir fry of sliced chicken breast with a bounty of vegetables: mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, snow peas, bamboo shoots, and red bell pepper. I enjoyed it. A comfort food. Mild flavor. Good size portion. I was in a food coma shortly thereafter. With the lunch special, you have your choice of Hot and Sour Soup or Egg Drop Soup. Although the Hot and Sour Soup doesn't contain meat in it, it has a meat based broth. The Egg Drop Soup had a few cubes of soft tofu. If you want flavor, go with the Hot and Sour. You also have your choice of Steamed Rice, Fried Rice, or Plain Chow Mein with lunch plates. The fried rice was plain, a soy sauce rice dotted with peas, carrots, and egg. Table includes salt and pepper shakers, and I was given a tray with sweet and sour sauce and hot mustard. I wonder if they offer hot chili sauce. The next day, I decided to order Beef with Broccoli, the Wednesday $10 special, to go. I think it's enough to feed 2 or 3 adults, so it is a good bargain. Broccoli was savory. Beef was tender, but lacked flavor. Just add some soy sauce, and you'll be fine. I was given 2 soy sauce packets with my To Go order. Chang Bros cooks to appeal to the demographic, so the food tends to be conservative in flavor. If you want spicy, try requesting for that. I think seasoning to taste is a great option if you are watching your salt intake or are sensitive to salt. Chang Bros is off Stanford Ranch Rd in the same plaza with Celestino's and Boba Lane. Dining room is clean, comfortable, spacious, and formal looking.
