Today was our first visit with friends from South Dakota and we had a blast! We did the VIP Package and so had our own section with a comfortable sofa and a red carpet! Speaking of red carpet, that was our experience. Jeff was our host and did an amazing job, starting with a phone call a few hours before our "tee time" to welcome us and to see if anyone in our party had allergies. Impressive! When we arrived, Jeff greeted us, walked us to our reserved area and then clearly and passionately explained everything we needed to know. Included in our package was a pretzel supreme, cookies and water!! Everything was delicious! We played three different golf games and enjoyed them all. If you're hosting a group event, I highly recommend Topgolf!! We hosted about 15 people for 2 hours of game play and everyone had an awesome time. Coordinating the event was super simple; Jazmyn was great to work with! Topgolf made it easy, paying for everything including gratuity prior to the event so we could just enjoy ourselves. Originally, we planned for 28 guests, and paid a 50% deposit. One week prior, we finalized the guest list, and since we had 20 RSVPs, we were able to reduce the headcount. The final payment was due 3 days prior, so Jazmyn sent an email and I paid online. Quick and easy! They reserved the last 3 bays on the top floor for us, which felt very private. We had an awesome breakfast buffet that included French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, tater tots (oh yeah!), fruit and muffins. We also had assorted desserts which included cookies, lemon bars, and donut holes with injectable filling. Everything was incredibly tasty and there was plenty of food. They even brought out boxes for the guests to take home muffins and dessert. Our host, Heather, was awesome! She was dedicated to our group and took everyone's drink orders as they arrived. You are either able to walk in and get a golf day, or you can pre-schedule ahead and reserve a spot as well. The location is nice and clean, and has plenty of space for groups, parties, or if you just want to go and practice your swing individually as well. They have a full menu available of all types of foods. The foods are reasonably priced and they also have drinks available. Many types of beers, mixed drinks, wine, and specialty drinks as well. The food that they have is very delicious. We were able to get a couple of appetizers to share a monks eight of us and they were very flavorful and fresh. We ordered the cheesy fries, the chips and cheese, and the delicious macaroni and cheese bites. All typical barfood, but fresh and delicious. It was a chilly day outside but they did have heaters right above you that kept you nice and warm while you were waiting for others to finish their swings. The prices for top golf are reasonable. They do have different specials on different days so make sure to check their website to see what is available. You do have to pay a five dollar membership the first time that you participate. It is a lifetime membership and it only has to be paid one time. The bays are reserved for one hour at a time and you are able to stay as long as you would like. If you have played golf or if you have never played golf this is the place for you. They have all the clubs that you need you're able to go in there and have fun if you're a novice up to a professional. They have targets that you try to get your golf ball into to get points and participate in different games that they have available on the computer. Such an amazing time every chance we get to come back! Our family loves to come, and this time we were able to get the couch table with the high top in the back. RSVPd 2 bays here for 13 people, but only 12 played. We arrived at 12pm on a Sunday and quickly familiarized ourselves with the set up. I arrived after the bays were set up, so I wasn't sure if the score boards were set up for us or not - I'm assuming they were since the players were generically names and not our names. Overall the gaming experience was good enough, but you are definitely set up to not score as well, since the end bays aren't facing the score holes directly. I've been to both the Scottsdale and Gilbert Top Golf locations and have better experiences there. The biggest downfall during this experience was the service. However, I think closer bays and smaller parties would receive better service. I just wouldn't reserve bays here for a larger group. I think the total bill was around $600 after we extended the 2hrs by half and hour for two bays. Service: I don't know if it was because we were on the far side of the complex, but it was so difficult to get service! With such a large party and with how expensive the package was, we expected more frequent check in's. The package included $300 worth of food for 2 hours, but it was hard to use the budget up when they hardly came around to take orders! There was also a moment of confusion when a party member was trying to order the French toast, but our waitress said that brunch wasn't being served...the menu states that brunch goes from open to 3pm on the menu however. I had to clarify with another waiter who then pointed at the menu times, like I couldn't read it the first time! Food: the food was pretty good when we did get food, although it felt like it took awhile to get any drinks and food delivered. This is about an annoying habit I am seeing all over. I believe the customer is King. I always treated my customers as such and expect it when I am the customer. During two different visits to the bar here and watching football TV, drinks and food I paid my bill with cash. On both occasions they didn't bring me my change. They rounded up to their benefit. One bill was $42.41 I gave them a $50 and they gave me back $7.00. It's not the 59 cents it's they assumption they can just keep my money. If any resturant / bar / establishment doesn't want the nuisance of change, then round off to the benefit of the customer. Once I got so pissed about this that I left no tip, the server chased me down and asked why I didn't leave a tip. My work hosted a Christmas party here during the pandemic. Top golf is one of my favourite spots to have fun but the timing was kind of off. Staff did take precautions by wearing masks, using gloves, and limiting party size. They also have plastic dividers in between the bays and I saw them constantly sanitizing. We had a good time here with our friends and our kiddos. I wasn't sure how the kids would do here but they had a good time taking their turn at hitting the balls. They also had small clubs for the kids. I would just recommend keeping an eye on your kids at all times - so that they do not intrude in other people's area - especially in the area of their swing so that they don't get hurt and of course also keep them from getting to close to the edge of hitting green (they do have a net - in case someone falls?). That being said , this place is best enjoyed within kids older than 7. The food was good, however I would not recommend the nachos the portion was very small and highly priced --they were not that great. The kid meals were good quality and choices were fairly priced. We would have ordered more food if our waitress came around more often. It seemed like she was a Ninja because we would turn around and our drinks would be refreshed (without even asking) but there was no one around to order more food . It is expensive to play and each person ideally is supposed to pay $5 for a card and then their name shows up on the screen (kind of like bowling) but we just paid for two cards and let the kids take turns on our name/turns. (This charge is in addition to the hourly charge thats is paid). There were our door heaters to keep you warm and the DJ took song requests. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. We were assigned a bay within 5 minutes of registering. Most times, we'd have to wait 45 min-2 hours and just kill time in the restaurant or playing pool in the complimentary game room. The menu has something for everyone. It's American pub food at a decent price. The Cobb salad was an appropriate to large serving size. I very much recommend their flatbread pizzas! Their desserts are also very very good. I was pleasantly surprised that heaters were installed. It was a beautiful day to be outdoors but a little chilly for Tucson so the warmth was a welcome addition. The player console is very user friendly and offers several very fun games to play with your party. I'd recommend at least 3-4 guests to make the stay worth your money because it's $25 an hour. I tried a margarita, mojito, and local beer. Stick with the beer as the mixed drinks are not made correctly. The bay fee for two hours will run you around $80. If playing at night or when it's windy bring a light sweater with you. They do offer discounts for military on bay fee. You can bring your own clubs. If you are competitive with buddies I suggest a 3 iron and 7 iron as they don't have those and the clubs they carry are too flexible. I do like night play as the flags look cool with the lights. A tip though is ensure you order and eat food while playing because once your time expires on bay and you don't want to play anymore you can't linger on tables just eating your food. They are uncomfy high top tables with only 5 chairs. Not a deal breaker, but not as cozy fun as you anticipated. I wanted to be that group in the picture! Anyways we made it work. We were given a brief on how things work, I'd say it was informative, i personally didn't follow it (that's not saying much) but others in my group did so yay. Also minor complaint, there is no where to put your purse. Need cubbies, hooks, something, hole in chair so it kept falling, didn't want it on floor while I was in high chair... table barely had room for all our food, so it was a constant battle my whole time there. We were 3 couples, who escaped our children for a night out of fun! I'd say it was pretty successful! Good menu selection. Drinks were kind of slow but not a big deal. Food was good for what it was. My friends and I had a very bad experience here. There were 10 of us and we had an hour and a half wait which was fine. The people upfront told us that usually 1 bay could only accommodate 8 people, but left us know they would give us a bigger bay, or that it would just be fine. We decided to wait at the bar. Bartenders seemed undertrained and new and took forever to get to us, and took forever to get us our drinks. When we got our bay, it wasn't bigger, it was just normal sized. The server didn't come until 20 minutes into our game which was unusual. They didn't let us order either and only got us waters. Not to mention the fact that the server was very rude and had attitude. Then a manager came up and told us two people from the party had to leave even after notifying them that the person upfront said it was okay. He forced our party to separate or else we would have to leave or wait another 45 MINUTES. We finally ordered drinks 30 minutes into the game, and we got them 10 minutes before our game was over.
