Topgolf - Golf Near Me - El Segundo, California

The concept of top golf is amazing, but this place botches the execution completely. Second time there tonight and second bad experience, despite really wanting to love it. First time I tried to pay with gift cards and they didn't take them and instead we paid out of pocket. Second time they couldn't run one of the gift cards and had no work arounds and basically seemed to completely not care that I was out $75. Completely apathetic. Managements attitude carries into the employees. The servers all seem like they hate their job and don't want to be there. Couldn't get them to come to our golf bay and when they did they literally rolled their eyes at basic drink orders. They would get a lot more business if they actually did their jobs. This was consistent both trips. Then servers come over 10 minutes before your time is up and try to get you to close tab even while you're playing; if you're there for an hour they basically are robbing you of your playing time. Servers seem to just want you to leave and don't care about more tips from bigger tabs. They suck the joy out of the experience completely. I will no longer come back and try to make it work; not worth it. read more

We came here for Mother's Day, and it turned into a delightful family outing. If you have a gift card, even better, as prices can be a bit steep. For a party of five, a 2-3 item meal with drinks and a 2-hour game session totaled around $300. It's worth the splurge for special occasions! read more

Top Golf is always a fun experience, if you can overlook the wait times. Getting reservations should be your top priority for weekends. Otherwise be prepared to wait for a looooonnng time. They have a decent bar area for waiting along with some merchandise on sale. Our server at the bay was very knowledgeable and friendly. She even helped get some clubs for left handed players. Typical bar food fare which would get a 4/5. Place was apparently booked for an event but I guess it's big enough to still make it not look too busy. The water treatment plant next door could sometimes hit you with some unpleasant smells but was happy to get a big complimentary parking lot and not have to find paid parking. read more

The place was very nice and the golf was fun. However, the security guards hover over you like helicopters as if you are a felon. As soon as your time is up, the security guard waits right by you, tells you that "your time is up", and that you need to leave. He then accompanies you to the exit as if you have committed a heinous crime and are a flight risk. I get this isn't the best area in LA but treating customers like thieves isn't ideal read more

My mentor has been with me for the last 4 years. As someone who has consistently guided me through highs and lows, I wanted to take him somewhere special for his birthday. I called the day of to make sure that everything was good to go and to see if we would be ok bringing in a group of 6 people. The person on the phone led me to believe that there were plenty of bays open and that a reservation wasn't necessary. Two hours later, I show up with my party only to find out that there is a 1.5 hour wait. Horrified at the idea of making my mentor wait 1.5 hours I started to feel embarrassed at my lack of preparation. I explained to the front desk person my situation. This is where this location gets a 5 out 5 score. Scott was disappointed at the situation and the bad info I received. He went so far above and beyond with helping us out. Looking back on it, i think he got my party situated in less than 5 minutes. I cannot thank him enough for saving me from the monumental embarrassment that was about to explode in my face. Also, special shout out to our serve Kayce. She really knocked it out of the park. Service was on point and she set up our birthday boy with a special song and birthday sign! You guys really made our night special and the birthday boy had a wonderful time. 10 out of 10 would recommend! read more

Came here for my very first Top Golf experience to celebrate my best friend's birthday. I can confidently say I have absolutely no idea what all the hype is about, I think I would've had more fun at a Dave & Busters. The young kids that work here are not trained properly, they just disappeared once they led us to the table. We had to go searching for people just to get our drinks refilled and order food. Also, when they brought food, they didn't bring us any plates or napkins, and like I said, no servers were to be found so we sorta just had to use hand sanitizer we brought to clean our fingers off after eating and also try our best not to make a mess on the table. Nobody explained the games to us so it was all confusing. There was a mix of men and women in our party and we were all appalled by the lack of service and our treatment at Top Golf. Additionally, I think they also need to have a kid exclusive floor and adult exclusive floor. Not sure why our party was put on the floor level bay, there were tons of kids and toddlers running around from other bays. read more

10% OFF FOR HEALTHCARE WORKERS!! Topgolf is one of my favorite places to go - such a vibe drinking and eating with your friends at a driving range with cool lights and technology. I even went on a rainy day, and it didn't affect us at all because of the roof & the heated couch! If you're 21+, drinking is a MUST. Food is pretty standard, BUT THE RANCH is so creamy, so good - essential to ask on the side with the dry pizza. It's also a great combo with the Buffalo chicken dip, which is very hot & tangy. Note: The waiting time is VERY long at most times of the day, so paying the $5-20 for a reservation is very much worth it. read more

I was lucky enough to be invited to a Birthday party for my nephew. It was held at topgolf, which confused me at first, since he does not play golf. Turns out the place is great regardless of whether you play. My sister booked a space and there were about 6 kids and a few adults. They have games that you don't need to know how to play to have a great time. Yes, they are all golf related, but super fun. They also have a full bar and great food. A ton of food was ordered and all of it was gone in 30 minutes. The service was very nice. We will be back. read more

What a fun evening the wife and I had at Topgolf, compliments of Pepperdine University's Graziadio Business School Alumni Network. Invitations for this free event maxed out at some 800 guests. We were advised that parking fills up quickly here, so we arrived early for this 3hr. event; 5:30 - 8:30. Free all you can eat fajitas; beef, chicken, veggies, beans, rice, etc., as well. Non-alcoholic drinks included. A first time for my wife and I, or at any driving range for that matter. Our son is the golfer in the family. I had always wondered wether I would be able to hit a golf ball off of a tee, having only putted in the past. But after stepping into the bay, the wife and I did better than expected. And that's part of the fun of Topgolf, no one is here to judge you. There is always someone stepping up next to you just as inexperienced, and hitting nothing but air on occasion. Just plain fun! For the first half hour or so, we even had an entire table and bay to ourselves. Later joined by 2 young ladies and their mom who was quite excited for us, and even jumped up wanting to take a few swings herself. Which my wife granted her. And after two tapped success rolls that went several feet into the greens, she was elated! That made her day, and we then resumed our game. The drawbacks are the large crowds that bunch up once you step inside, and there are always those either trying to make their way to the restrooms. Heading upstairs to the cafe. Or just trying to get to the front counter. Pepperdine had the entire bottom tier to ourselves. I can't wait for another opportunity to get together with family and friends here, for future outings. read more

Went here after work for a team event, overall the experience was nice however the price was a bit high for what we received. We had 8 people in our group and thus needed two bays, with a couple of drinks per person, some chicken wings, flatbread and nachos our bill before tip was almost $700. About $300 of that was for the bays, since we were there for 2 hours and had a few people that were new members. The food was good, and was about what you would expect to pay at a venue of this type, Drink prices were typical, the games were entertaining and everyone had a good time. Service was acceptable but nothing that stood out. Would I go again? Probably for another event of this type, just to practice my golf swing, No, I would go to a regular driving range and get a couple buckets of balls. read more

I had a company event there on 8/15/2025. We had a bad experience. The service was awful. For our 2 hour event, I had to chase down our "designated server" 4 times. YES, 4 TIMES!!! There were barley any other guests there, large majority of the golf bays were empty. There was NO reason why we received terrible service. When I purchased the event package, since it was a large group, gratuity was included. Perhaps because we "pre-tipped" we got atrocious service? This is very distressing. The top golf event planner who helped me coordinate the event did not follow up directly with me. There was only a generic, computer generated survey sent to me after the event. Again, horrible customer service. Top Golf does not understand how to treat the individuals who attend their events, nor the individuals who plan the events. I would never hold another company event there, let alone recommend Top Golf to anyone who must plan their event. Overall it was a highly disappointing experience. UPATE: 10/2/25 On 9/29/25 I was told the Director of Sales, Amber Stocky would reach out to me regarding the horrible customer service I received. I have not heard from her. This is another example of the shameful customer service from Top Golf. read more

First time at Top Golf for a work social. It was a big group of us 13 of us and we had to call ahead of time to make a reservation. When we arrived they quickly took us to our bays. They explained the ordering process and how to it worked. My coworkers and I all took turns hitting the balls and swinging. I had never golfed before so this was definitely a fun experience. Would come back again. Especially since the drinks and food was all delicious. read more

Highly impressed with the reservation operation, which is processed online. Legit, user-friendly with a 3-step check-in. Honestly, it was minimal engagement with staff because everything is processed through their app. (Which isn't a bad thing) nonetheless my first experience here was hassle-free with an anesthetic vibe. I did flag down a bay hostess for them to explain the logistics. Once that was taken care of, it was missed swings, lucky long drives, laughs, and giggles. Had a pleasant experience here, btw we went during the week on Wednesday and it was super chill. If you don't care for large crowds I recommend going before the end of the week. read more

I came here not too long before they opened and it was a nightmare getting a bay. My ETA was 5 hours on a Saturday and it was pretty accurate. Unfortunately, I didn't do any golfing that day. This time around they seem to have it together where you can make reservations via their website which is such a timesaver. My time driving there was my waiting time to ensure I'd get a bay. I had plans after so I had a small snack. I had the Nacho Average Nachos and I looked at it because they completely changed the plating of it. You hear nachos you think a huge serving of tortilla chips with cheese and possibly toppings. It's a great snack when you're leisurely golfing. When the dish came out it was flat as a pancake. Okay, not really, but look at my photo and you'll see what I am talking about. It was a downer. However, the service was nice and, as always, I enjoyed my time at Topgolf. read more

Overall, Topgolf El Segundo is a great place to spend a couple of hours practicing your swing, playing some fun games, and enjoying time socializing. The technology is pretty cool. Pretty good tracking of your ball, providing nice stats with respect to ball speed, height, distance, etc. The games are super fun. You can choose from basic driving range style, to target practice, all the way to Angry Birds, and a bunch in between. Which games you choose really helps determine how fun it is for the non golfers and golfers alike. I would have to say Angry Birds is a general crowd pleaser. The Callaway clubs that are available to use are actually pretty good quality. The atmosphere is really lively and fun. Great time socializing with friends and/or coworkers but also has been a great date location for my wife and I. The food is definitely lackluster. Bar food options are the expectation, which is fine, but quality and flavor only mediocre. Drink options are pretty good. Nice selection of beer, ok selection of wines (but that's ok given not as much an activity typically attributed to enjoying a glass of wine), and decent cocktails. Service is hit or miss. Some servers are great but others could care less. Consistency from this standpoint needs improvement. Definitely will be back to enjoy some more Topgolf in future. read more

I reserved the flex package (on a Wednesday) for my mom's birthday. I was somewhat nervous about the service and hospitality because I had read negative reviews. However Nic, my bay host was phenomenal, kind, well organized and delivered all around great customer service. I expected food service to be slow, it was not. I was relieved my event experience turned out well and everyone enjoyed themselves. read more

Planned a teamwork building outing for my staff here and it was everything I expected it to be. The venue was nice and clean, the parking was plentiful, the staff was great, and the food was served quickly! The drinks were good, but kinda weak. The games are user friendly and actually make you want to play. We were ordering CONSTANTLY, but Melissa kept up! She was great! I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back for sure!!! read more

Unfortunately had a horrible experience with the reservation agent who promised us a first floor bay. I was told if you pay extra I'll be able to get my preference on the bay. (I paid 450$ for two bays for 2 hours!) When we arrived I was told that the agent had made a mistake and I needed to pay an extra fee to get that reservation for the first floor. I asked to speak to the manager who didn't come out for about 10 minutes. This is already getting into our time slot mind you. she said, "the agent made a mistake. Theres nothing I can do." I said what are our options? She said, **take the time you have left** or forfeit your deposit. I was shocked. If you look at my reviews you'll see I don't post negative reviews often. Here's where it became really good actually. This part gets 5 stars. The staff was managing the bay and taking our orders and helping us was actually really really good. These are the foot soldiers and they deserved every bit of the tip. The food was OK but overall it was good. Just don't expect too much. Again at the end, another manager came by to see if we had any issues. I again repeated story and she said, sounds like it didn't go well. She didn't offer any extension of time, any kind of discount, or any sort of repair. Just like the first manager. The total bill for the slots and the food and drink came to 850$. I emailed the agent I worked with and she was unable to do anything more than to say, I am sorry it didn't meet your expectations. That was the end of the customer service experience. 1 star!! I wouldn't recommend the full birthday package again, it wasn't worth it. read more

I am pregnant and before we were called on the waitlist my husband decided to smoke a cigar outside of the car while I'm inside our vehicle, but Security was constantly doing rounds only where we were parked. They told my husband he couldn't smoke on property, so my husband politely left the property to finish his cigar. As others on the lot were drinking and smoking in groups they decided to continue harassing my husband while he's alone off property. We didn't even make it in to top golf due to security officers harassing my husband in the parking lot and denying him entry to the venue. My husband recently was diagnosed with alopecia and therefore now gets profiled a lot. My husband is very family oriented and was taking our son and nieces to experience top golf but the children were robbed of what could've been an epic night turned into a wrecked night for the kids. Security personnel from allied universal failed to identify themselves, didn't have any identification and were covered with masks. I will most definitely be filing a complaint against them. They also told us never to come back to top golf. Extremely unprofessional and I suggest that top golf hire their own security officers and not from a 3rd party because their training and customer service is far below what Top golf represents. Makes me really not want to ever come back to top golf. read more

I've been to TopGolf a couple of times and I enjoyed both experiences. Both times I went with a group of 4, I recommend getting two bays if you have 6 or more in your party. There's plenty of parking and valet was $7 when I went. The staff has always been nice. The food is pretty good but some of the items are really small for the price. For instance the fries are very small but if you get cheese fries it's shareable. The shrimp tacos are really good. I wish they had more options of food that can be ate with a fork because I don't like touching the golf club then eating with my fingers. Great place for family or date night. Came here with my family. The food we were served made all of us really sick. The TV at the putting range didn't work so you couldn't see where to shoot it would turn on and off. If I could this this place a no star, just because of the security guard there so rude and disrespectful, I'll never come back to this location again, he was so rude not only to me but to everybody in line. I was invited to a birthday celebration at Top Golf today--a reminder of why I never choose this place. The service was absolutely atrocious. As a business person, I can tell you sales must be down because of how poorly customers are treated. The waiters were so slow; I was told someone would be right back to take my order, but after waiting 20 minutes, nothing happened. Frustrated, I took matters into my own hands and walked to the bar for my own drink--yes, I have legs. To my disbelief, I was told I couldn't place an order there because, according to the Top Golf rule book, I had to stay in my bay. I even went to the second bar downstairs, explaining in detail how my waiter had been taking forever to return, yet I was met with the same response: "Hey, you have a bay." Once again, I was told that the rules wouldn't allow a waiter to take my order away from my bay. At that point, I had it. Despite my attempts to get a drink and express my frustration, all I received was a runaround. If this is their system, it's clear that thousands of dollars are being lost due to this nonsense. I won't be returning--unless I'm reluctantly invited to celebrate someone else's occasion. This place is a complete joke. read more
