why bother claiming to have package deals if it's comes out to the same price?
    Joshua P.

I rated this a 2 star review because of confusing signage and the rate it costs to bowl here was too high for my reason to commit to a few games. It's been so long since I've been bowling. Coming into this place, I had expectations that bowling would not be as expensive. I was wrong. The typical costs to bowl here are $10 per game per person and $5 for show rental. They have a sign that reads package 1 ONE game + shoe rental = $15 Package 2 is TWO games + shoes = $25 Considering package one and package 2 is exactly what it would cost of this didn't say "package" on them doesn't make sense. A package usually benefits the consumer to some extent, not just point out the obvious. It can be deceiving to patrons who aren't quick to catch on making them think this is a great deal when in fact package 1 and 2 is the normal charge to play 1 or 2 games with a show rental. And then $10 a game afterwards for a pair would be quick to exhaust. we would probably hit 5 games within 30-40min. So really, $5 shoe rental plus 5 games per person at $10 each person...$110 in a matter of 30-40min. between just 2 players. NOPE! Won't comeback here for bowling. In the other hand, their restaurant inside was packed, so maybe I'll comeback just for breakfast or lunch.

It's been awhile since I've been here and my daughter and I were craving some oxtail soup .. the staff are always friendly. The vibe here is chill. Portions are huge and I always have food to take home!!!

I like it! It's a little hidden gem. Their diner has a robust Hawaiian menu. Unfortunately, I waited too long and was not able to try the food... Next time! It smelled amazing and looked amazing. They said the bacon fried rice with chicken is the most popular. Almost everyone walked away with a fried rice dish. They have popular items like moco Loco, spam musubi, short ribs... You get the idea. They have a cute little bar, simple clean and the staff is friendly no matter what section you were in. They have maybe 10 alley's for bowling, and about 10 pool tables with a small arcade. And a huge parking lot! I will definitely go back!

I'm so glad I found this little gem of Gardena to bring my colleagues for a Friday Fun Day Not only it's a great place to bowl but the coffee shop here has one of the most delish food selections we have had in a long time. Food 5 Stars everything we ordered were delish - Ox Tail Soup, Loco Moco with Portuguese Sausage Pattie, Garlic Chicken, Tempuras, French Fries, Kimchi Combo Fried Rice, Teriyaki Sticks (comes in 3) Service 5 Stars Everyone here at the coffee shop and bowling alley are friendly and professional Ambiance 5 Stars Cozy and clean, so well maintained and welcoming! Parking 5 Stars Plenty of spacious parking spaces Price 5 Stars Unbeatable prices ~ Bowling $5 per game per person, $3 per shoe rental per person ~ As for the food, undoubtedly the best, you simply need to come and try them!

This was cool event from #gethank a website's for adults 55plus sponsored by #Humana. Belinda was very nice and helpful today, can't wait for the next event. It was a great, bowled 10 games today. Thanks Brian for creating a great app for over 55plus. The bowling alley has a cool decor, great color scheme. Will definitely return again.

Bowling Alley's are becoming extinct, and it's a shame. I liked Gardena Bowl for the location and logistics of getting to a bowling alley in the South Bay Beach Cities. It's rather small, I think it has 8 pairs, or 16 individual lanes, so there can be a wait. Although some have made comment that the customer demographics are inner city urban, but it's not 'hoody, and has a family friendly atmosphere, we went on a weekday daytime in the Summer. The staff was helpful and friendly. People who bowl here are experienced for the most part and practice the league etiquette when bowling and yielding for each other when there's a bowler to the left or the right and interchanging to assure respecting not being rude or distracting. I like that. The rates are okay, on par with today's FMV (fair market value) rates per line (game) and for shoe rentals. What impressed me a lot was the PRO SHOP. I brought my own bowling ball and the finger plug inserts came out during play. The PRO SHOP glued them back in FREE OF CHARGE graciously. That's impressive in my opinion in today's world !!!

We waited in the bar area, ordered many many many drinks and played songs on the jukebox then we got pool tables and started playing pool for some hours while talking then we bought 2 lanes of bowling and bowled like 3-4 games and it was fun! We had such a good time after going to top golf. Good times! The prices are decent here and we did order food as well. Chili cheese fries and hot wings which were really good.

What are the bowling prices? I've been trying to call for 2 days and no one answers.

I know they have an all you can bowl special Monday through Thursday from 9 PM to 11 PM for $20 including shoe rental. I agree they rarely answer the phone, sometimes you have to try your luck and just show up hoping there is a lane available. they…

I think the place has 20-30 lanes (forgot to count them), which is smaller than the other bowling alley that we used to go.

Review #966 2026-032…read more This used to be AMF Bowling & was later acquired via merger by Strike Holdings LLC (dba Bowlmor Lanes), & rebranded as Bowlero in 2017. Since our last visit over the summer, they're now defunct & again renamed to Lucky Strike in 2025. Whew! Bowlero is actually closer to home than the defunct Gable House Bowl, & the very last bowling alley in Torrance after the demise of Palos Verdes Bowl prior to GHB. I went through a phase of bowling at least once per month in my YA years & recently started up again after having kids due to bowling birthday parties. I miss bowling... I bowled for the 1st time when I was teen & can even remember my 1st score of 77. I didn't bowl much, but I'm usually in the mid-range of 150 or thereabouts & have scored a few turkeys in my lifetime. At one point, I had planned to purchase bowling shoes so that I'm not using the public ones since I hung out with friends that either like to bowl or shoot pool. We were invited to a teen's 15th b-day at Bowlero & the space is huge! It has a mini arcade, bar, pool tables, & 40 bowling lanes that's equipped with lounge seats, blacklights, & HD screens that played movies, music videos, & sports. My daughter had a good ol' time with the birthday girl & their friends, most were from her Color Guard team. Both lanes seem to malfunction frequently enough that they didn't get a full 2 hours; the girls didn't seem that into bowling so it was fine. They were served pizza, chips & salsa with fountain drinks. I only wished they were either served before or after bowling to clean their hands since none of them thought to wash their hands between frames. Yikes! \(`0´)/ None could really bowl & scoring 50+ points was an accomplishment with a couple scoring 100+; the random strikes helped in between the gutters. After a couple of rounds, the girls hung out at the arcade; it's on the smaller side with some games that offer tickets that can exchanged at the automated prize hub. I thought Bowlero would be a fun place to hold my 15 YO's birthday celebration the following month because there's so much downtime for her friends to chitchat & hangout. And I happened to find a really great Groupon Deal: $84 for 2 hours of bowling + shoes rental for 6... not sure of the normal rate, but this is $7/hour with shoe rental! I kept it small to help H build relationships with her friends. It's been only a month, & Bowlero is still riddled with technical issues that we spent more time waiting for the tech to fix the problems than bowling. Even with a lane switch didn't do much to fix the frequent downtime. I even requested to be closer to the center of the bowling alley, near the front desk due to the far left lanes' malfunctions. Again, scoring 50+ points was a real accomplishment with one g/f hitting 100+ in the 1st round. At the 2nd go, H had the highest score of 81. I'm not sure when is prime time but the parking lot was half-full at each visit & it was quite busy inside with half the alley in bowling action. Bowlero is a chill place for a family-friendly bowling game or two... if only the technical issues doesn't mar the experience.

Great bowling place!…read more The drinks and food are a bit pricey but we hardly come here so we decided to split the cost. The service is good! The food is good! The place gets packed around 8:30 pm so come around 7:30 if you want to get a lane. And come with a group so that it's cheaper bc it was just me and friend and we played good but we finished so quick. We then went to the bar to have drinks and the bartender Esme made our night bc she was so attentive and quick and helpful with our drinks. Kudos to Esmeralda for being the best bartender! Forgot to take photos of our drinks but they were good!

Why tell a league bowler and a season pass owner nonsense like that? If you are a even a semi serious bowler, go to a different ally. The lanes were dry. Ball reaction was inconsistent and the ally uses strings. The approach was OK, but a little too slippery for my preference. Lane 23 called 9 pin strikes more than once. My self serve kiosk failed and the servers also completely ignored the help request. I received no help at any point, but was being watched the whole time by a rep. My lane got an error and I waited for about close to 10 minutes and got zero help with that too. That same rep, who was just watching my lane and saw the error, decided to offer zero assistance. This is when I took a picture because he saw that my lane was down and I had requested help at the kiosk before it went down, but he remained standing around looking. After I left to go to the front, this guy now steps in and starts doing something at the table on the lane I was at. Made no sense because I had no drinks or food because the kiosk failed. Overall, this was the worst Bowlero experience I've had in Southern and Northern California. I recommend going down the street to the Torrance Bowlero, if you have practice games and/or a seasonal pass. This specific ally was the worst experience I've had in my one-year of bowling from any ally. I have multiple pictures to prove the claims.

So there is definitely something about the atmosphere and the idea of the place that caught my attention. However, the condition and cleanliness of the restrooms really took away from the experience. I checked the restrooms inside the bar area and also the restrooms on the other side of the facility, and unfortunately, both needed significant attention. I noticed cracked flooring, cracked walls, deteriorated hinges and fixtures, and a hand dryer that looked like it had seen better days. The overall cleanliness was also not where I would expect it to be. Some of these are relatively small maintenance issues that, when added together, make a big difference. A restroom doesn't have to be fancy, but it should feel clean, maintained, and comfortable enough that customers don't hesitate to touch the faucet or use the facilities. The good news is that these are fixable things. A little maintenance, a good deep cleaning, and some attention to the details could make a noticeable difference. So, Cal Bowl, I'm actually giving you credit for inspiring me to want to bowl. But when it comes to the restroom experience, Maggie says: this needs some attention. I'm not writing this to be negative or disrespectful. Sometimes a business simply needs someone to point out what customers are seeing. Hopefully, this is helpful--and hopefully the next time I visit, I see some improvements.

When we asked for an accommodation, the security guard was rude and told us that if my son wanted water, he could walk all the way to the entrance every time, despite the distance from the bowling area. Hoping to resolve the issue, I spoke with the manager, Luis Gonzalez, but unfortunately he was just as dismissive and uninformed about autism and disabilities. Rather than listening and showing compassion, he was rude and unwilling to understand my son's needs. Businesses that serve families should make an effort to educate their staff about disabilities and neurodiversity. With autism becoming more widely recognized, basic awareness, empathy, and reasonable accommodations should not be too much to ask. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and unsupported. I will also be reaching out to upper management, including Cynthia Torres, to make her aware of this situation and to see whether changes can be made. As an autism mom, it is my responsibility to advocate not only for my son but for other individuals with autism and disabilities as well. No family should have to experience being dismissed or treated without understanding when simply requesting reasonable accommodations. My hope is that this feedback leads to better education, awareness, and compassion from staff so that all guests feel welcomed and respected.
