I had a really great experience at this TJMAXX. This store seemed to be a bit bigger and less congested compared to some of the other locations in the valley. They still had a great selection of Christmas clearance items and had started to put out their Valentine's Day decor. TJMAXX usually has really good deals on there things. The line to checkout was long and I probably waited at least 10 minutes. But when I got to the register, the gentleman working (I believe his name was Alberto or Roberto) was very polite. While he was scanning my items, I realized that one of them was scuffed up a bit, and he let me run back to see if there was another of the same item. There was not, so he took off an extra 25%. My experience with the cashier really helped make up for the long wait time. I would recommend this TJMAXX. read more

This is the one chain store I would think of shopping. Two other similar chains, for myself don't begin to compare. I have find quality ar acceptable prices. The atmosphere is conducive to my looking for useful bargains. One example was ladies slippers. I bought about a dozen pairs and then do not need to buy for a long time. Good quality and considerable savings. As time passed the savings increased. My personal experience with employees has always been good. With ladies clothing there is variety and value. The customer service is usually pretty good but i just went in today on Fathers Day and the older lady at register 8 working at the counter didn't say hello or anything so neither did i. when it was time to pay she very rudely gestured her hand at the total on the register? I haven't been inside a TJ Maxx in several years I decided to stop in today and the price tags chased me out the store this location offers luxury designer items they're a little overpriced for the older styles also you don't get the benefits or customer service that the luxury brand offer. It's with Synchrony Bank they give their credit cards thru this online bank can't really pin down a location anyone to talk to....I sent them a payment via money order. They sent the money order back mutilated and with a letter saying it had gone through their processing system. But they couldn't accept it. I called and emailed finally someone reached me said they would honor their mistake. Then I get a letter stating I can't prove it. So now I owe for them mutilating my payment and a huge later fee calculated from when they first refused the money order and sent it back to me. This is a bank and their fault now I am being charged later fees when they couldn't even make up their mind whether to honor their mistake or not ? This is business??? In my opinion this credit card from Synchrony Bank is not honorable I cannot trust them. I am at risk for bad credit and a large bill I don't owe read more

No one enforces the mask policy at all. It's absolutely ridiculous. One woman was carrying hers in her hand and walking about the store. When approached, at my urging, by a manager, he asked her IF she had a mask. She pointed out that she did, in her hand. He replied "oh - ok." And walked away. Pass on this store. No one wants to wear a mask. Enforce your policy if you're going to plaster it all over your doors. It's not ok to let entitled people ruin things for everyone else. My most recent experience Was utterly disappointing to say the least. I was looking around on one of the racks of clothing and there was a skirt hung up on a pant hanger by itself, not tagged. I looked around for the item again on racks near it, but there was nothing like the item around it. brought it up when I was going to check out to ask for a price check and Sylvia, who was not even the cashier who was helping me shouted at me "The item was a set, if I was aware " in a very rude manner. I let her know that it was the only one on the floor and I couldn't find anything else let alone a set. She again was very condescending to me and said that "they have a back room that I can't see." They made me wait several minutes while the supposed manager checked the back room. Only for the "manager" to come up and say that they didn't recognize the item and it wasn't theirs and wouldn't sell it to me. After Sylvia rudely told me it was a set just minutes prior. How was an unknown item hung out and put up on the floor. As someone who has worked in retail management, I do not know how an item is hung up and put out onto the floor by itself If it is a part of a set, let alone if it's supposedly merchandise that doesn't belong to the store. Sylvia needs a lesson on Customer Service and how to talk to customers. And the manager needs to be retrained on how to properly merchandise a floor and run a team . read more

This is my all time favorite TJ Maxx store. It's not overwhelming large and always has awesome things. The manager is awesome. He was walking around asking everyone if they needed help. The staff is unwelcoming at this location and closes the store before business hours. The overhead announcements saying the store was closing were done every 5 minutes beginning 30 minutes prior to closing. They were very harassing and distasteful, and really discouraged shoppers that remained in the store. Lots of staff walking by giving dirty looks as far out as 20 minutes before close. Manager was on duty and condoned all this. They announced the store officially closed 7 minutes before close. I had a cart full of items and decided not to check out as I refuse to give a place that treats customers like this business. Should have gone to Ross like always. Ladies love TJ Maxx!!! Okay, maybe not all ladies but this lady does. I frequent this one because it's up the street from the kids' soccer practice. I typically go in to browse and see what they've got. I've have to admit in the past decade or so my sense for fashion has depleted significantly. However, every now and again I find something I just adore and can't help but to purchase it. I always get compliments on the items I buy here. Considering they don't just carry a few specific brands of items. I prefer TJ Maxx to their competitors as I just feel the quality they sell is slightly better than the other. Though both places are those hit or miss shopping experiences. The household items always amaze me. They've got cool gadgets and they're all decently priced. I love the selection of candles that they carry most of the time and stock up nearly every time I'm in. I also LOVE when they have seasonal items because again, you cannot beat the price. I always check out the kids items since we've got the kiddos. I'd much prefer to pay a reduced price for items that will only last until the next growth spurt than full price and realize that spurt is tomorrow. The boys section is usually lacking compared to the girls but tis life and not really surprising. I know they're good about returns, I purchased a dress over the holiday season without trying it on (I can't stand trying clothes on) and I didn't realize it had no back. I also didn't realize, I'd never wear the dress but for the occasion I was purchasing it for. I'm also one who has the intention of returning items that don't fit or that I don't like etc (buyers remorse), and never ever takes them back because I feel as though it's going to be a grueling process. I have not seen them lately sadly. So between the crunchies and munchies, I have shopped for socks, liquid soap, active work out gear, laundry mesh bags, hangers, and picture frames. It's kinda fun and convenient to shop for random items you may or may not need. They carry all kinds of clothing for any age, beauty products, and home decor for everyday use or for holiday cheer! I bought a purse here , it was made from cheap material and started falling apart after 5 days of barely any use and they said no we can't return used items. T.J.Maxx om Miller and Camelback has always been the best TJMaxx in my opinion. I'm writing this because recently the store has been revamped. Everything is in a different location and it seems really "picked over" and hardly any merchandise available. I personally used to love shopping there but lately I just can't get into it. I don't like the way it is presented _and in fact I don't even look at the clothing at all anymore. I don't know what happened to the cute clothing that used to be front and center when you walked through the door. The place is a mess, the aisles are very narrow and I was constantly bumping carts with other costumers. Also the employees contribute to the chaos, I found about 4 gray rolling carts with items to place on the shelves. One employee, a tall white woman with short hair was very arrogant and didn't ask for permission to pass with one of those gray cart from the back of the store....while I was browsing, neither apologize or say thank you. I'm tired of having the TJX companies put their physically challenged customers on the back burner. What is the point of having handicap fitting room stalls when those who actually need them have to wait time and time again while able-bodied individuals occupy them? The irony at this particular location is that I've been told by two employees that the door to the women's handicap fitting room stall locks itself. If that's true, an employee must have willingly opened the locked door for able-bodied people to enter. There's are other places to shop with accommodations for the physically challenged. The return policy on a customer service level is absolutely outrageous. On December 3rd, I ordered a Queen size comforter. Today (December13th) it arrived as a King, a mistake on your behalf. When I contacted you to remedy this situation, I was told I would not be receiving what I PAID for and that I must take this back to UPS and await for it to be shipped back to your distribution center, in which you will then turn around and refund me. To physically receive my money back will then take 10-14 days on top of the travel time for the comforter to make its way back to you. I am now burdened with the task of repackaging the item, and bringing it to a UPS store. I am absolutely mind blown for many reasons. I am now out of money, do not have the item, and now have to clean up the mistake your company made. I have to take time out of my day to clean this up for you while you hold my funds. I am now having to carry the loss on behalf of your company. There was absolutely no ownership taken by the agent I spoke with on the phone (Sabrina) who represents your company/policies. I cannot fathom the logic behind this kind of policy. 1. You have my money. 2. I do not have the product 3. I have to do a chore on your behalf 4. I am now tasked with having to reorder, only after my funds make it back to me, which will end up being very far from now 5. This order experience will end up lasting me over a month of time, which is absolutely absurd. 6. There was absolutely no solution set up for me--only for you. 7. I offered to drive it back to the store, again, attempting to resolve the mistake made by your company 8. I was directed to just blindly place the order again, as if I just so happen to have extra funds, and as if I were trust you after the first disaster. 9. When asked to speak to a supervisor to directly to provide feedback about this nightmare, I was put on hold only to have Sabrina come back to tell me no supervisor was available. Please explain the logic behind this as I have never experienced such horrendous customer service. This is absolutely unacceptable. Please resolve this issue for me as it is your mistake. I love TJ-MAXX this location is actually one of the better ones but the Paradise Valley location is still my favorite! This is a great place to come for a last minuet affordable outfit. You can get everything for your night out. A dress, heels, jewelry, handbag even new shampoo to get your hair looking fresh and clean! I do love the fact they have a beauty section here, its nice to know I can find those expensive products I never buy for myself here at a reasonable price. Its right next to the jewelry section though so have some self control! When it comes to the fashion here its a little harder to have as much control because they always have the latest styles in fashion and they make sure to keep it clean and tidy so you can actually enjoy your shopping experience. This is also an awesome place to come to find house warming gifts for those friends you love, or just to spice up your own living space! I swear my last house was fully decorated thanks to TJ-MAXX! Majority of the time the staff at all locations are very friendly and helpful, I've only ever had one experience with an older lady working at the dressing room that had a very unpleasant disposition... I was looking around the jewelry area just minding my own business and the lady that is always there I don't know her name but she is old, has black hair and wears glasses looked at me with discuss, and kept staring as if I was going to take something. I shop here ALL the time and today I was treated with the utmost condescension. Not sure I'll be back I'm so offended. I purchased three bathing suits and took them home to try on. Upon bringing two of them back today, coordinator Sylvia nearly refused to take one of them back because the crotch sticker was in the wrong place. The bathing suits were CLEARLY BRAND NEW and unworn with about three attached tags per suit. It was pure ignorance to assume I had tried wearing the suit. I returned it in the exact condition I purchased it in and will NOT be held responsible for someone lazily doing their job and putting the crotch sticker in the wrong place. Ok, I love this place. It takes some patience to sort through stuff & find deals, but sometimes you just find some amazing stuff. I'll go for clothes, or kitchen stuff, or home decor, but I really love finding cute, cheap sunglasses here. I am a huge customer at tj maxx because it is my favorite store in the world . I purchased a bracelet that I loved dearly but it broke. Tyson was able to find the receipt and call me back the next day saying that he could give me store credit for the bracelet. Now usually places will not do that , but my shopping experience here has made me realize that I will forever be a customer at TJ maxx due to the outstanding customer service that everyone has given me here besides the lady with short jet black hair that works in the jewelry department.
