You have to have patience and take your time. Sometimes I get into trouble browsing these areas. Something you should know (if you don't already) is that all stores don't have the same markdowns. And the prices you see online are not always what's in the actual store. One could be way cheaper than the other, so hold on to those receipts or if you have the app, returns/exchanges are no problem! While you're here, there's a Starbies inside if you need anything lil pick-me-up while you shop. Employees are pretty helpful and friendly. This is one of the closer locations to my office, so it's great for drive-up orders too!

The entire time the cashier was ringing us up, a security guard stood at the door staring at us. Despite watching our entire transaction take place from start to finish, the moment my partner finished paying, the guard demanded to see a receipt. I stepped in and refused. It is completely unacceptable to watch a customer actively pay and then immediately treat them like a shoplifter. I finished paying for my things, told him the conversation was over, and walked out. A second security guard was much more polite and wished us a good day, which we appreciated, but the damage was done. ​If receipt-checking is strict store policy, it needs to be clearly posted at the entrance, registers, and exit. More importantly, security needs better training on customer service. Frowning, staring, and treating paying customers with suspicion is entirely uncalled for. It's all about how you treat people, and we will not be shopping here again.

I visited the store yesterday as it was a calm summer day, and they had some 40% sales on the 2nd floor. Parking on the street or visitor parking in nearby parking structures. It's also a short walk from the Fulton Center, Mountain America Stadium, and Desert Financial Arena (and the rest of the north side of the ASU Tempe campus). On the second floor is a Venezia's pizza location along with a Sun Devil Technology Center with an Apple Computer Repair and more. Every now and then, there are clearance sales or employee or alumni appreciation sales including discounts on Apple educator prices each year. The District is an outdoor mall area that has a number of smaller shops, eateries and a Harkins Theatre. I live just miles from this area and make several stops here each week. I mostly come here to go to the movies or to the bookstore. Coming to Tempe Marketplace makes for a nice day and I enjoy all of the services that they have to offer. One of my favorite things about the District area is that they will decorate for the holidays. During Christmas, they will set up a very large Christmas tree and hang lights up all over the walking areas. They have showcased art exhibits like floating umbrellas during the summer months to draw in people. The District also has a stage where they will have live music and at times will host concerts. There are splash pads for the kids to enjoy when it gets hot out and fireplaces for the colder evenings. I have even done a one mile Kilt run through the District. It is nice that going to the mall has evolved to more than just shopping and has lots more to offer.

We got lucky and found a space right away. The escalator going up and down was out of service. The two elevators were operational so all was good. The plaza features many familiar named stores, a Harkins Theater, food court, sit down restaurants, high end designer stores and many boutiques. Stairs and escalators will take you to various floors. Clean restrooms are scattered throughout the plaza. Be ready to shop until you drop. You'll also find valet parking and WiFi in the plaza.

I like that this mall has high end stores but it also has stores for everyone else. There's a food court and a movie theater, too. Some of my favorite stores include Sephora, Lululemon, VS/VS Pink, and Jo Malone. I don't come very often even though it's less than 10 minutes from work. The parking situation is usually a nightmare and the traffic around the mall doesn't help. I feel like it's congested everywhere around the mall all the time. I do stop in once in a great while if I really need something. It's very clean and they are always opening new stores. The food court has a pretty good selection of cuisines, but if you're looking for anything fancy, you won't find it there. The pickings were slim, and the shoe section which is already small, was pretty wiped out. The employees weren't super busy although there were a few shoppers inside when I walked in. None of them greeted me or offered to help me find anything. I was eyeing a pair of booties, but I didn't bother to ask if they had my size or the color I wanted. I also didn't see a clearance section. I had planned on using my militsry/first responder 25% off deal that was valid in-store only which expires today on Christmas Eve, but it was not meant to be. The good part is, Lululemon usually sends that same email every few months, so it's not the end of the world. Hopefully, I'll have a better experience if and when I come back to this location.
