Quick Target runs are my jam and this location at the Tempe Marketplace is no exception. This is a big store that's pretty well-organized most of the time. Occasionally, you'll see some items all disheveled but overall it's got everything you need. If you take the time to browse the end caps, you may find treasures marked down up to 90%! You have to have patience and take your time. Sometimes I get into trouble browsing these areas. Something you should know (if you don't already) is that all stores don't have the same markdowns. And the prices you see online are not always what's in the actual store. One could be way cheaper than the other, so hold on to those receipts or if you have the app, returns/exchanges are no problem! While you're here, there's a Starbies inside if you need anything lil pick-me-up while you shop. Employees are pretty helpful and friendly. This is one of the closer locations to my office, so it's great for drive-up orders too! read more

This Target was located in the Tempe Marketplace at Rio Salado Parkway and McClintock Dr. The parking lot was quite huge so there shouldn't be any issue finding a parking spot. I was in town to run the Mesa Marathon and stopped in here to buy some snacks and drinks for the weekend. The store was bright, clean, and well organized. I was able to quickly find what I wanted. Prices were all very reasonable. I was also able to pay for my items using one of the self checkout kiosks. read more

This Target location is the worst, so racist for no reason. Me and my sister walked in the store to grab some fruit snacks and we were greeted warmly at first by a female security. Me and my sibling are Mexican and we look like it. We had stopped by the hair brushes close to the makeup isle, we were looking around not even touching stuff. Keep in mind we both had small purses. My sister needed to use the bathroom so we had gone back to the front of the store towards the bathrooms. There were 3 employees starring us down....We did absolutely nothing so we didn't react because we obviously didn't do anything wrong and we see that the white security guard grabbed her microphone and started saying stuff and looking at us and proceeded to say "They are walking towards the bathroom now". I was in shock. We walked out the bathroom unbothered and continued shopping. Everywhere we went there was always a damn employee following us and starring us down. I'm a Target gal!!! I'm in a Target location at least once or more per week, for something!! It could be for water or toiletries whatever the case, I'm there!!! Stopped here to buy tape, to mail a package but ended up getting a few sale items while here. I noticed that, their brand paper towels, are tougher than Bounty paper towels but I usually, don't like store brand merchandise so this speaks volumes. I must say that, I'm a little disappointed that none of these stores offer Thanksgiving decor forgetting what Thanksgiving is all about!!! Perhaps next year they will dedicate an isle to Thanksgiving. ‍ The staff were all nice and appear to keep the store tidy. Visit Tuesday evening at about 5:30PM and I had a terrible experience at this Target. The older woman at the front was incredibly rude and condescending. She got upset with me for taking two lollipops because I had two kids with me, and then proceeded to point out the "one per guest" policy as if I was trying to cheat the system. Honestly, it felt very judgmental, I tried getting her name-- but she turned her name badge around. It was by the 20% off teacher signage (which I'm a teacher) and was just trying to treat my kids to the lollipops while I shopped around, she seemed to doubt that. She did later say I could take the lollipops, but by then I was just uncomfortable and I put both of them back. I tried to continue shopping, but I was so put off by the interaction that I only grabbed what I needed and left as quickly as possible. I remember when Target was a fun place to shop around while buying the icee/popcorn for the kids to snack on.. This experience has definitely turned me off from shopping in person. I'll be ordering the rest of my items on Amazon instead since they pretty much have the same things for the same value plus no uncomfortable human interaction. read more

I went to check out at self serve. Looked at the signs that had no mention of how many items. I had 15 small items. I was told that I couldn't go there because I had more than ten items . I apologize and mentioned it not being posted. After that the employee with a blue Mohawk seemed rude. There were customers in the self serve area with twice as much. There was no line and registers available. Good customer service would be to let someone with a few more than ten just check out especially because there was only a few checking out. Great Target. I enjoy the big parking lot, however with so many people walking in and out across the front entrance lane..... it generally park far back and exit out the back lane. It's convenient being in Tempe Market so that I can visit other shops and and restaurants during my visits. I often do late night Target runs to grab popcorn, snacks, coffee, chips or fruit. I also stop in during the day once in awhile to grab a protein shake, sandwich or salad for lunch. They have a great makeup section here too so I always grab a lipstick or lip oil or a lip pencil. I went on a weekday, around noon and had the worst experience I've ever had at a store. I was almost done with my transaction at self-checkout, had a few more items and then was on my way when a rude older man came over telling me I had to cancel out the transaction and go to a lane, because I had twelve items.... I would've been out of the store in about 60 seconds. There was no one else waiting for the registers, the store was dead, and no line for self-checkout, not a single person waiting. I selected to do self-checkout, as the cashiers at this particular store move at the pace of a tranquilized snail and I can do the same checkout process in about a minute flat. The cashier also started rining up batteries that weren't mine, so then she had to go in and cancel these random batteries she started including off of my total. This man forced me to pick up all of my previously scanned, and bagged, items out of my bags and go to a line, which let to a wait behind one single family for 25 minutes arguing with the cashier about coupons. I missed an entire work meeting, standing in this line waiting for the confused family and even more confused cashier to figure out whatever they were trying to figure out regarding a coupon. I would definitely advise management to take a look at the cashiers on duty during the weekdays, as they are PAINFULLY slow. As well as let your employees know that they aren't running a bootcamp over at self checkout. What turned into a quick errand run, had me stuck in line behind some annoying cashier vs. customer confusion, for over a half hour. read more

This is my go to Target in the valley! Other than the parking lot being a bit of a pain in the butt(Gets a little hectic), being located so close to ASU campus and part of Tempe Marketplace, it's a great Target and it's located to lots of other greats stores in the plaza if you're looking for a one stop plaza. I feel they are always stocked well with great product's from food to clothing or home goods. The service is always friendly and it's been a positive experience from ringing out to returns. Compared to other Targets I feel they are better stocked across the board and they tend to have great sale/clearance offerings through out the year. read more

How can one say about a target? They e clean, well lit? Just target is not any better or any worse than any others. It's near a college campus, so you won't find the best clearance prices. So the deals are snapped up before they get to the 90% off category. Targets are known for their designer upscale feel at reasonable prices. We ordered two boxes of training pants because our daughter is completely out of it. It was a drive up order. The store clerk came and we showed him the code. He asked where to put our order and we said "the trunk please, thank you". He loaded the stuff up and we were on our merry way home, or so we thought. After we bathed our daughter, I went to our garage to find her training pants, but to my horror, we were given someone else's order and there was no diaper / training pants to be found. Luckily, we were able to find one remaining diaper in our car so we could get through the night at least. This takes "crap out of luck" to a whole new level at 10pm when you are looking for your daughter's diaper and the horror to find none because of Target's error. read more

I was in dire need of looking around for some baby items as we are pregnant with our first baby! My mama and I went in and found this location to be super friendly! Everyone greeted us and helped us find the items we were looking for. It's so stressful making a baby registry but it was nice to see the items in person :) Lots of parking, they sanitize the carts and I was happy to see how many people were masked :) Great target location! read more

my nephew (he's 12) was ordering a drink at the Starbucks that's inside.. he asked for a Carmel frappe with whip cream on top and bottom and the girl making it said " I don't get paid enough to make these boul shi* drinks" when making his drink the cashier then told her " language." I love Target! But the Tempe Marketplace location has seriously gone downhill. What was once a clean & organized store has honestly become extremely disorganized and slobby over the last year. The dollar section is always completely empty 100% of the time. Your Instagram highlights great product in this section & it's never available at this location. I've tried coming various days of the week & at different times but it's always completely picked through. Aisles like shoes & clothing are complete disasters the majority of the time, product just thrown about. Doesn't seem representative of the brand at all. Some shelves are also completely wiped out. Part of why you come to Target is the shopping experience & at this location it's honestly not enjoyable anymore. read more

The store is clean... and the staff is all friendly... and they have most everything I shop for always in stock. However, there are times of the day, when lines can be painfully slow for someone like me who can impatient when it comes to lines. Review is for SNACK BAR only (the store is great!) 100% of our visits go like this.... We head to the snack bar for a popcorn at about 9:58, knowing they open at 10. Attendant keeps the lights off and ignores us standing there patiently. At around 10:03, there is always mention of the "target time" being later so she will need about 8 more minutes. My children and I continue to wait. At about 10:10 lights come on, she gives us our $1.25 popcorn and we are done. I get so annoyed about how inconsiderate they are with their time, especially seeing that the popcorn is sitting there waiting every time. If this were to happen once or twice, I would understand but it's been this way about 10 times! Ugh. read more

This is genuinely the worst target ever. Every experience the staff that check me out are so rude it's insane. Today I was checked out by Kaitlyn who was so rude for no reason like we were baffled. I regret not speaking to management because Kaitlyn was so passive aggressive and it's just not that serious its target. We would ask a question and the response would be sooo smart like we asked if there were sensors on the clothes and the response was something like " mam I took the sensors off it's my job to do that" (with a passive tone) a simple yes I did! The story is one of the worser targets in the Phoenix area. It kind of just makes me not want to shop at Target anymore. When I come into a Target, I expect ease of access and organization. I could not find that at this Target. I was shopping in the fitness section on my visit. Let me tell you, it looks like a train had ran through this section. Clothes on the ground, everything not in its category. I've seen better organization at a good will. This was really disappointing, and detracted from my entire visit to the store. One of the main reasons I went here was for my concealer (makeup) . There was one left in stock so I placed it in my basket among some other items. I get home and realized the lady never rang it up nor gave it to me. Now they are all sold out. I have medical issues and it's a big deal to get up and go places without feeling like I'm gonna pass out. Horrible customer service! Placed an order, was told it was ready, got there and could not get ahold of the store for pick up. Got disconnected 3 times! Finally asked a guy who was delivering to car next to me, and he couldn't find the order. When he did locate it, I was told to go in and pick up. At that point, with my grandchild in back seat I told him to cancel the order. I feel he should have offered to go get it. I tried calling the store again, this time someone answered, no name, and he proceeded to tell me 3 times I should have ordered this in their app, which as it turns out I did. The unseasoned manager who "helped" me went by the name of Josh I believe. I shouldn't say help as he was pretty useless but he's who I interacted with. On 2/18/24 I went to the store about 10 mins before it was to open we were in the parking lot ready to go shop and give Target business as I always do. I had to go pee I am very pregnant. I went to the door and waved at "josh" where he did hand gesture signaling me to go away rude. He finally comes to the door and I ask to pee and he says you can wait 10 mins I tell him I'm pregnant and am going to shop I ask please as I'm about to pee on myself. This man said no to me and shut the door. I literally had tears in my eyes. The lack of human decency just caught me completely off guard. He had a horrible stank attitude and if he doesn't like his job please find a new one. This is the kind of Managers you hire Target. Shame on you! The privilege and the attitude were so sickening. I'll be contacting the corporate office even tho I'm sure they aren't going to do anything. Do better. And Josh can stick it where the sun doesn't shine. This is definitely one of the best department stores that they have. It is so much better than Walmart I mean as soon as you walk into the place you can definitely tell the difference. I was shopping for a 55" flat screen TV and found the Vizio brand for only $389 at Target. Checking this Target's inventory they showed stock available so I drove over. It took a little while for someone to help me in the Electronics Department, but the sales guy said he would go look in back to see if they had one. I had to laugh because 3 different shoppers asked me questions while I was waiting at the Electronics counter. They guy did come back but he was empty handed. He said the only one they had was the display one and that Target does not permit the sale of items on display. He did check inventory at a near-by Target so I drove there and was finally able to buy my TV. read more

LIAM is RUDE AF! He calls himself a lead. He works at the customer service/return counter. I needed to return a pair of shorts and get the next size and decided to get a couple of more items while in the store. Lame was checking the website to see if the shorts were available in the next size to ship. They were not available so I exchanged for another color in the size I needed. He realized a woman got in line when he was helping me and he decided to flex for her because she was rolling her eyes over the wait...instead of him calling for back up or telling the lady it would be a minute, he starts LOUD talking ME that he had a line now! and he wouldn't be able to finish up my transaction and that I would have to go stand in the checkout line to purchase the 2 other items...WHERE THEY DO THAT AT?! I think all of that gel and hairspray in his hair has his brain frozen. I'm already at the counter to checkout but I have to go stand in another checkout so you can take the next customer. WTF! I reported him to Zach, the manager above him, even though Lame claimed Zach was a lead like him and couldn't do anything about it. Lame needs to work in the back in the stock room if he doesn't know how to talk respectively to customers or "guests" as Target calls them. I certainly did not feel like a guest. He would have NEVER talked to me like that if my husband were with me. Funny how people think they can talk crazy to you behind them store counters but would never talk to you like that on the streets.
