Cleanliness and customer service I give you a 5 but if a DM ever tried to shop for bedding, curtains, home goods you'd know the frustration. As a consumer in the day and age that retailers are making it easier and easier to let us order from Amazon while complying that Amazon is the devil. Most big chain retailers don't give a s*** about the horrible customer service that drives their bottom line in the toilet. Doesn't seem like that with Target. Your customer service is usually pretty good. True my standards have been lowered over the years. I've men in retail upper management most of my career. Retired now. So stop disappointing me w/your constant out if stocks on these items. The male associate that helped me today was great. Offered to find matching curtains from another Target. Its 117° here today. I was looking for a quick fix. Not travel in this heat. It's not that hard to keep enough stock on pillow shams. Your buyers should know that if you have 2 queen comforters to have a min of 6 shams. Same w/drapes. It took me 3 trips to the Scottsdale Target to get 4 matching drapes. The hook only holds 2. Each time I came back there was 1 on the hook! We shouldn't have to do your guess work. Maybe I'm just heat bitching now but I ended up leaving a cart w/a min of $600. After changing my mind on colors to get what I needed. I could not succeed. Sorry for your loss. Your employees were helpful. Just didn't feel like driving around. I'll order at Amazon.... read more

Definitely don't come here. They charge WAY more for literally the exact same drink than other Starbucks, like 25% more. You can go down the street to another Starbucks and order the exact same drink for less. Everything here is market up and they're rude about it. read more

(Target Security) Earlier today my car was robbed at my apartment complex and my purse was stolen. The thieves tried to use my cards at this target. The security guard named Conner was extremely professional and helpful when it came to explaining what the next steps I should take and answering any questions I had. He worked with the police offer by gathering all the evidence such as videos, receipts and clear description of the thieves. If it wasn't for the evidence we wouldnt have found them that SAME DAY! I was in your store at Tempe Marketplace on Friday August 16th and again on Monday August 19th. On both visits I observed a Target cashier wearing a BLM facemask. Is it company policy to allowyour employees to wear racial political messages on their uniforms? I find this type of behavior completely unacceptable. Why would you want to make your guests feel uncomfortable, and violated in this way? I spoke with the store director, Craig, who said that he fully supports this employee wearing a political logo on her company required uniform. Big store, right in the heart of Tempe Marketplace. Always full of people. That's a good sign that the store does great business. I've been to this one a few times and each time it's been busy, no matter what time of year, or day, it is. Easy access to other stores in the Marketplace. Great customer service from their cashiers. Much better than any Wal-Mart I have ever been to! Target is way better and their stores are by far cleaner and friendlier. I have no complaints. This is a really good store. read more

Um, what to say about Target? It's Target! Everything is displayed nicer than Wal-Mart and it's a litte bit more expensive because of it. Other than that, I'm a big fan of their clothing for men. Yes, they do have the crazy looking vintage t-shirts, but also a handsome selection of casual/formal clothes that just look good for a won't-break-your-budget price. 2 stars because I like the convenience of having a self check out. 1 star for the dirty dressing rooms. Generally you need to take your shoes off when trying on clothes. The floor is nasty covered in clumps of dust and the walls have bloody looking smears. And I purchased a portable charger. Get home and open it to find out it was already opened and someone stole the charger out of the box. So now it's literally useless. Will be returning it. read more

I had stopped frequenting this location because the toy department had a stocker who is also a collecter, so he would always hide items in the back, not bring them out until he looked through them to cherry-pick himself so he can profit from them and resell. He blatantly lied to my face about it and was sweating and looking extremely obvious. If he's gonna do that, do so secretly!! Anyways, it had been at least a year since I'd visited, which I did today. It looks like the man is still working wonders in the toy department. Situation looks even more dire than before. How can supervisors walk past this, and not SEEEEE something is wrong (picture attached)?!? This is the ONLY Target in the entire valley I have ever seen a sight like this, bravo! Please fix your rat situation as it is costing you. Have a sup visit another location and see how it's done. After asking for a pretzel the cashier unapologetically stated they were out because the openers didn't make any. After asking about a hot dog she gave the same answer with the same attitude. This store stocks yogurt that is 2 weeks past it's "use by" date. I never write negative reviews, but I absolutely can not believe the service I received here. I spent a entire day throwing up from this yogurt and had to waste 4 hours of my sick time (I don't get much) and they offered me a $5 gift card. Like I could care-less about $5. How about compensating me for the sick time I wasted (gave the employee my hourly rate) and my gas. I refused the $5 gift card and will be taking this to the better business burrow if I don't find some sort of resolution. It was also 4 yogurts that were 2 weeks expired, so I am sure others who shopped here Sunday had the same experience. I also believe this target needs to find better management. I don't understand how someone can just decide not to restock perishable food and no one picks up on it... it's called a quality check you're employees work. read more

The pharmacy gets 5 stars because I love David! He always is so friendly, smart, and extremely helpful. I have been going to this pharmacy because he is so wonderful and this pharmacy is in a place visit all the time, Tempe Marketplace. As for the target, it gets a 4 out of 5 stars because it is missing some of the top brands of things I like, such as Hornsby and I think it could have a better produce isle. The lines are usually relatively short if you look into the second row. Sometimes I wish there was more workers walking around in case I have a question, but sometimes there is not. There clearance is pretty large compared to other targets or other stores. When I am very thirsty, there is a convenient Starbucks and a Target Snack Bar. read more

This is a very busy location. They do offer self check out which is awesome. Their $1.00 or should I say $3.00 section is a hit or miss. Many of the cute items are grabbed up quickly. This location offers groceries. While the grocery section is smaller, you are still able to the basics. They offer a lot of things catered to the college crowd which I like. The store is clean and the staff works hard to avoid the long check out lines. They continue to check and will open up extra check out areas. I enjoy coming here and being able to shop. read more

I am super disappointed with most of my experiences here. This is the closest location to my home but 6/10 times I get followed by security or encounter huge piles of anything and everything everywhere. I have nothing to hide, and I do not appreciate being followed while I'm trying to pick new things out for my home. I'm indecisive, and may or may not put things back in different areas because I always have a budget that I can't stay under. I never bring in my purse anymore just to avoid someone walking 2 feet behind me asking if I'm doing okay. Target is my go to place when feeling down or whenever I need anything. I'd rather go to the target that's 15 minutes away than go to this location now. I hope that others have better experiences here, because target is up there with Disneyland - such a happy place. read more

I really appreciate this Target! I live in Mesa near by and normally come here when I need something last minute. But I live coming here to collect my toys, video games, and just everyday items. I want to shoutout the worker Alex. I have been dealing with difficulties with my bipolar treatments and just needed someone to talk to and Alex spent a good 10min just listening to my stories and then I needed help with finding a video game and he pulled out the phone they provide him and he found what I was looking for. I would like to give a special shoutout to the manager Joan. She was nothing but nice and helpful as well listening to my stories as well as Samantha. Both of them were working at customer service and they helped me out big time with moral support which I appreciated. I do go to target from time to time. Like today. Because target is pretty reliable especially when you need something and you don't want to deal with Walmart and that freak show. So I would say that target usually has what I want at a pretty decent price and it's much less of a hassle than Walmart. Although there are some pretty strange people at target as well but they're much more polite. And that's a plus. read more

As most people do I love going to target, today and the last few months not so much. I've witnessed on multiple occasions Justin better known as "JJ" being targeted and bullied by several coworkers. It's a Super Target. There's a nice large area inside in the front of the store to enjoy your Starbucks. When I think of the other Target store in Tempe, there's no comparison. This is a much newer facility and it shows. This location is close to ASU to take that into consideration when coming here for items that may be advertised. If a college age person would love it, it might be gone before you get here. I live in the middle of 5 Target Stores with 5 miles of my house. I can pick and choose which one to visit. Because there are so many other shops in Tempe Marketplace, this is a very convenient location if I have other shopping to do. This location also has Self Checkout, which none of the other 4 stores do. Pretty cool. Convenient location. OK Staff. Product availability can be difficult. Newer facility. 4 Stars. read more

I work in the area so I find myself at this Target *easily* once a week, if not more (spoiler alert: its usually more!) and I'm always impressed by the fact that I can always find everything I'm looking for. It isn't the prettiest, cleanest store, there have been computer issues that once made a "quick" trip for less than five items take forty-five minutes with thirty of those minutes just waiting to checkout (but the employees were visibly working on the issue and doing everything they could to help accommodate the guests) and, for some reason, they don't seem to carry distilled water anymore (seriously, what??) so while it has its problems I would still frequent this location even if it weren't right by work. One last positive about this location is a young man who works there named Ali. He is *incredibly* nice and outgoing. He isn't always there when I am but the times he has been I've been uplifted by my encounters with him. His kindness and general happy attitude are so awesome! He's a genuine people-person and he makes the checkout process enjoyable. Definitely an asset to the store! read more

This location always seems to have a decent selection of clearance clothes. But they hide them in the far back left corner. Start back there and work your way up ladies! The staff are very friendly and helpful, even late at night when you know they probably just want to go home. I feel like I come to this location all the time. I've also had to do some returns and it is always an easy process if I come with my Target card and receipt. It is always well stocked with everything I need as well as clean and very easy to navigate. AND There are always good sales if you check the cartwheel app and come back regularly to check items. If you know me you know I LOVE target, but this location is absolutely ridiculous! I have had several drive up orders with incorrect or missing items. Most recently it was a protein I purchased among other items. Since I have been burned many, many, many times by driving off and not checking the bags until I get home , I checked the bags and the protein was the incorrect flavor. I got out of my car and walked up in attempts to return it. I know target has a 24 hour return policy, which is ridiculous, but I informed the young lady at the front this was the incorrect flavor if I could switch it out. She said yes. I checked the aisle and they were out of the protein brand completely. I asked her for my money back and again the 24 hour return policy was reiterated. She kindly looked up the protein at another target and informed me I could return it at that location. I then drove to the location the next day and they informed that I couldn't return the protein there bcuz the barcodes didn't match I had to go back to the original location. A few days later I place an order of hygiene essentials and decided to get off and return the incorrect protein and pick up the items I ordered. After the the protein return the young lady at the front handed me ONE bag of my items. I pulled them all out and informed her I had EIGHT items missing not including the two items they canceled bcuz they were out of stock. She looked confused and I pulled out my phone and counted the items. She then consulted with a few people in the back and came out with my two other bags. I am beyond frustrated with this location. I understand errors and mistakes happen but every time I come the this location it is something. On Sunday again I was giving the incorrect dog food and I didn't notice since I had the guy place it in the trunk. Earlier this afternoon I placed another order for 4items that show they have several in stock on the app and all 4 items were just canceled "out of stock" at this point it's just pure laziness of the employees. I will no longer shop at this target. I rather drive the extra 5miles to the target by MCC. The overall quality of employees you are hiring at this location is very poor. Employees seem to be annoyed anytime they are asked anything or are fooling around. Corporate needs to look into their internal leadership as this store has a high turn over of employees and it could be the cause of just hiring anyone that applies at this location. read more

This Target is pretty large, with a good selection of clothes, food, and household items to shop for. I love shopping the end-caps for clearance deals here, and there are usually enough check out clerks that you aren't waiting too long to pay for your items. read more

This is one of my favorite Targets in the area. I like the way it is setup, it's not *too* big but has a good selection, and is always pretty tidy. The biggest issue with cleanliness is people leaving their cups or drinks around on shelves randomly. Generally it's not too busy, and even when it's been busy I've never really had to wait for a register which is absolutely unheard of at Target. That alone deserves 5 stars. The employees working here are outgoing and extremely friendly. Overall, this is a great Target, and the best I've found in the area thus far. read more

Target, whether your pronounce it correctly or not, is great! When I need to buy a few things, I love going to Target. This location is always neat and clean. I like that the grocery department has expanded. It's not quite like a SuperTarget with almost a full grocery store inside, but it covers the bases. Whenever I need to pick up a prescription, I can't help but scan the visually pleasing make-up aisles for a new product. One tip- avoid this particular store during back-to-school. Being so close to ASU, it's a mad house. But after the students are settled, it's safe to return. Which I will! read more

If you need an in depth review of Target you're either living under a rock, or in very high prestige. Either way, I can't help you. This location is big, spacious, clean, and well stocked. There's plenty of employees roaming around if you need to ask for help. However, it does suffer from that same strange phenomenon that all Targets seem to suffer from. There's 20 registers, but only three are open, and there's always a manager just standing around and watching. How about opening up a fourth register so I don't have to wait to check out? read more

Who doesn't love Target? I know I do, but it can be so dangerous to my wallet. I always find too many things I don't need, but today's excursion was frugal and fruitful. I got some great buys on mundanities like boxer briefs and paper towels. Best deal of the day: Kraft Mac-n-Cheese 10 for $10! W00t! My 2 fave things about this Target: 1) the Starbucks just inside the door so I get get my addiction on 2) my buddy Scooter works here What I'm not down with: they don't have drink holders on the shopping carts so my iced coffee slides around in the basket of the shopping cart and verges on disaster when we push the cart. We used to have those cup rests on shopping carts in Boston, but come to think of it -- that was probably a Dunkin Donuts at the Stop & Shop dealio and I don't know that I've ever seen those in AZ. The other thing that struck me as we walked in is that I must be getting really old. 2 times in the past week I've heard what was once considered "alternative" music playing in pedestrian locations. Today we heard Nirvana blasting in the parking lot at Target. Last week it was the Cocteau Twins at Chilis. I think I'm turning into my Mom. read more
