This Marshall's typically has a solid selection of clothing styles and sizes, along with a wide selection of personal and kitchen stuff that gets me every time. items that draw me in. I walked in and it was crowded (holiday shopping has started). I was pleasantly surprised to see the racks full and the variety was on point, but trying to navigate felt like an obstacle course. The first thing that caught my eye, a hat from my favorite sports team, which is a rarity in Arizona, so I wanted to take advantage and grabbed it... And that's when the weird vibe started!!!! I feel like that hat was like a "bait hat"... after I grabbed it, I literally saw & felt multiple employees constantly glancing my way or looking at me discreetly through the aisles during my time here. I figured it out quickly as all the corporate people were in the store, as they had purple folders walking around and commenting on display setups, mini gatherings, talking about engagement, and more. Not gonna lie, it was definitely weird. Even when I went to the fitting room, I kept that hat out in plain sight because the energy was already awkward. The shopping itself was fine, but the overall vibe was... **DIFFERENT***. I even slung them across my body to see the fit and look. I talked myself out of it since I just purchased a new bag recently. I wanted it but didn't really "need" it. I did see two new swim suits. I tried them on and decided on one. Extra bonus was it was a name brand. I was also humored in the dressing room hooks. One said possibly and the other said definitely. LOL! Perhaps it is just this location, but this has been the worst Marshall's Shopping experience ever. The staff was demeaning and entirely unsupportive. I was browsing through the isles, taking my time, and there was not one instance where I looked over my shoulder and did not find employee eyes watching me. Initially I assumed that they were making sure that I didn't need anything, but by the fifth time I caught the employees staring, I was positive they were watching to make sure I wasn't stealing. Now, I understand the need for security and product protection in an establishment such as this, but what I don't understand is how they can justify two floor associates following, watching, and obviously whispering about a customer. For context, I came in on my day off. I was dressed very much so for a relaxing day lounging at home. Even so, when did wearing loungewear become a sign of impending theft that would illicit the unwelcome and wildly uncomfortable attention from floor staff that I received. I'd also like to mention that I was never approached by either of the employees tailing me. No offers of assistance or pleasantries of any kind, just the deafening silence that would follow any time I walked near them. The cherry on the cake was the incredibly distasteful look that they gave me as I was checking out. If this is how customers are treated, I will gladly take my hard earned money and spend it elsewhere. I am very disappointed. read more

This is my guilty pleasure stop when I'm in the area. There's a tire shop across the street, a best buy nearby and several grocery stores. When our family is out and about, I'll pop by here while everyone else does their own errands. They typically have fantastic stock. I've purchased home decor that was straight from West Elm (mango wood and marble bookends). I've also found some high-end dresses at incredible prices. And, surprisingly, they also stock food and have a pretty eclectic gourmet selection of frivolities. Lavender syrup, for example. The lines, even if long, move very quickly. The only caveat/downside to coming to this location is the heinous parking lot. Even though the lot is huge and shared with something like 30 other shops, it's hard to find parking and the people here drive like maniacs. There's also a fair share of homeless hanging about. The store was clean and well organized, which isn't always the case for Marshall's. The checkout process was efficient and the employee that helped us was friendly. This location is pretty gross. The men's department sucks, but beyond that, half of the customers are actually TWEAKERS who flood the store and steal underwear and other items. I was wondering why they have a disappointing underwear selection until one day I saw a dude who was obviously high out of his gourd walking around with one of the large birthday gift bags they have at the front of the store and then an armful of socks/underwear go to the back of the store. Then he went around and went out the front. I've seen people run out with pillow display boxes full of merchandise. Today an obvious tweaker with the shittiest face and arm tattoos is talking crazy while he stocks up on undergarments. They finally have a security guard at the front when I stop in (some days). I'm always on the lookout for Crabtree & Evelyn products, and they occasionally show up at this store. I found Somerset Meadow hand cream for $6.99. I found clothing for my son, it is his first year attending school. I have discovered and fallen in love with Lady Jayne creations. I found the most amazing storage box, and it was only $7.99. The employees here don't understand the word "Customer service". I came in today and picked up a pair of $30 shoes and at the register the girl tried to charge me $50. I told her the price was wrong and that I was certain they were $30 and she told me that there was a 5-0 written on the bottom of the shoes with a sharpie and that was the price. I told her that wasn't the case and that the display of shoes clearly stated $30 and she just stood there and blinked at me. So instead of going and checking for me, she stood there while I did this myself. I brought a pair of shoes back from the display and showed her the price was in fact $30 and she corrected it. I said thank you and she didn't even say "You're welcome". Employees here need to not be lazy and do their jobs. read more

This store used to be a mecca for men's suits by Armani and Ralph Lauren at Rock bottom prices. The dress shirts came were top name brands. In both regular and slim fit. And they had an extensive collection. The store used to be the store to go to for businessmen in the Biltmore area for great prices for nice men's clothing. Now we are stuck with a Walmart like selection of brands like chaps and unknown Chinese brand plaid shirts. We have camouflage jackets and polyester short sleeve shirts. Not sure if management changed or the clientele. But to have a Marshall's this close to the Biltmore and no longer even have dress shirts is disappointing at best read more

I like coming to Marshalls when looking to save a few $$ off brand name clothes, accessories, and house hold items. They always seem to have a clearance rack that brings cost down on their shirts, shorts, pants, etc even more so than their normal value prices. They're great for picking up new work out clothes about 1/2 the cost that you would down the street at Sports Authority. I've never bought shoes here, but they're decent prices also. Most of the items they carry are last years styles, which most people wouldn't really care or notice. I like to swing by here and last chance when I'm in the discount shopping mood, you can usually find at least one or two things that work for you. Happy Shopping my friends! read more

I love Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Home Goods. These stores are so fun to browse! You can find me in the candle area sniffing literally ALL THE CANDLES. They sell some great acrylic makeup storage cases that would cost a lot more elsewhere. I like how the employees just let you shop instead of following you around, but at times there are no employees around to help you when you need them. Regardless, this is a very clean store that is great if you have some time to kill. read more

I had a problem with a $13 exchange, 2 days after purchase. I had the receipt and tags but two employees were under the impression that no exchange can be made when the plastic tag fasteners have been cut. Some items cannot be tried on without cutting those things and I just wanted to exchange for the correct size. I didn't want to cause a scene or make the line wait so I didn't ask for the manager. I went home and called corporate Marshall's to see if that was, in fact, the policy. It isn't. So I called and spoke with the store manager Phillip and explained my issue. When I say Phillip went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make it right, I mean he demonstrated EXCEPTIONAL customer service and I HIGHLY recommend anyone to shop there and if you have the slightest problem, Phillip will resolve it for you. I plan to shop there as much as I can! read more

Even in another city, Marshalls doesn't disappoint. I needed something suitable other than a purse to take to the baseball game -- I wanted one of those cinch-backpacks and thought I'd be able to find one here. Sure enough, and for $4 too!! Otherwise, it's your typical Marshalls, though this one is much cleaner than most others I've shopped. The home furnishings section seems to be larger than some other stores too. This store has a nice array of items and a fairly large men's section, which you don't always find. I was really impressed with everything inside this store. Marshall's has a lot of great prices for clothing, shoes and home stuff. There is only a few Marshall's around Phoenix. So, it is nice that I have a Marshall's by my house. I like coming to this Marshalls. They always seem to have what I'm looking for and most of the time it is on clearance. So, it is a win-win for me. :) Also it is nice that Marshalls is part of the TJ Maxx Company. If you ever had something to return and you only had a TJ Maxx by you can you return your item there too. Terrible service from the manager Dave at this marshalls location. I tried to return something and he literally yelled at me and belittled me in front of a line full of customers for not having everything I needed to return the items. Get the hell over yourself! It blows my mind that the customer service at these establishments are so terrible considering how much competition there is in this day and age! Not only was he rude to me but also to the woman that was trying to help me do my return. Will never shop at this location or let anyone I care about give there money to this shitty store. read more

Marshall's Rocks. I love coming by here to pick up any house stuff, stationary, decorations, wrapping supplies like gift bags, fancy soaps-- just a bunch of stuff I don't NEED but like to BUY. The shoe department is sad but the clothes are a great deal and lots of variety, you just have to go looking thru everything. SO if you have the time, it's worth it. But basically I purchase house stuff and crap I don't need and then I go home and look at it all and wonder why I just spent all this money of "stuff"-- but I get the shopping rush at a bargain price. What can I say, I love Marshalls. This location is clean and always filled with a ton of great finds. My only complaint (hence the 4 stars) is that they don't have a jewelry counter. I came here to find a cute necklace for my boyfriend's mother for her birthday. NOTHING like that in this store. I settled on a cute tank for myself, but still left with no present for her. This location has the most upmarket men's selection I have found in a TJ Maxx or Marshalls, and you don't have to deal with the ridiculousness of mostly made-for-outlet and private label Off Fifth Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom Rack have degenerated into. Brands I have seen include D&G, Armani, Corneliani, John Varvatos, Versace Collection, Valentino, Diesel Black Gold, McQ Alexander McQueen, Ralph Lauren black label, and even several Fendi tees and polos! They even had some (too small for me) off-white Dior Homme pants! Their underwear selection often has higher-end items too (D&G, Versace), plus lots of Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, and the like. Several contemporary designer and luxury denim labels are sprinkled in, like theory, Hudson, Joe's, and AG. They also carry a very wide variety of mid and low brands, from Polo Ralph Lauren to U.S. Polo. Macy's staples like Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, Guess, Tommy Bahama, Perry Ellis, and Kenneth Cole are all well represented, plus Adidas, Nike, and Underarmour athletic clothing. Minus one star for the selection being hit-or-miss and having to share parking with Last Chance. Note that for some reason, Ralph Lauren anything carries a premium in pricing here. read more

First time at this location, just like all the others the selection was cool. As always it's hit and miss, you go in looking for t-shirts and come out with a brand new easy storage hand truck. There were a couple of sales as they were rotating inventory getting rid of the winter merchandise. We did actually find what we set out to purchase so everyone was satisfied including me (Dad) pretty reasonable outing. The lines were somewhat long but they moved rather quickly. I should add that its in a heavily congested shopping center so be prepared to circle the parking lot a few times. read more

The lines are forever holding you up from running to your car and wondering why you keep coming back. While shopping at Marshall's I came across an item I really loved. It was slightly damaged but I decided to still get it. Upon going to the register I asked the cashier Janet if I may receive the item at a discounted price. She rolled her eyes at me and said "i guess" then disappeared for a few minutes. When she returned she was laughing and saying that she can get me a "99 cent" discount. I was just tired of being there and felt bad for wasting both of our time so I said sure why not. After paying pretty much the same price for the damaged item Janet went over to other coworkers and began whispering while I walked out of the store. I am very disappointed in my experience at this Marshall's and it's making a loyal customer not want to return. read more
