Before pic - heel tips with a ton of wear
    Brittany R.

Omg I'm so impressed with this place! I needed the heel tips for some louboutins replaced and came to yelp to request quotes from several businesses. This place got back to me quickly and was much more affordable than every other place I heard back from. It took less than a week to fix my heels and they look sooooooo amazing! I was legit very impressed (before and after pics included). & the woman who worked the front desk could not have been sweeter. Highly recommend!

    New stacked heels on sandals

I had purchased a pair of beaded sandals about 10 years ago and the kitten heel style was hard to walk in. Over the years I asked different shoe repair shops if they could put a new style of heel on the sandal but no one seemed to know how. I happened upon this shoe repair shop as I needed my boots reheeled and decided to take along my sandals to see if they knew how to switch the heels. The woman at the counter was very knowledgeable and understood what I wanted but wasn't completely sure if it could be done. Amazingly when I returned to pick up my boots several days later new heels had been put on my sandals and were exactly what I had been hoping for all these years! My beaded evening sandals are now wearable after collecting dust for 10 years in my closet!

    Damaged underside of boot

This shoe repair store absolutely ruined my Italian $500 boots. They scraped and ruined the underside when replacing the tip of the heel. The underside is blue so the gouges stand out. On top of that, the tips are the wrong size and put on crooked! I could have done a better job myself. Do not go to this repair store if you spent any significant amount of money on your shoes or boots.

Arcadia Dry Cleaners does not stand by their work. Look at the lower-rated reviews and trust them…read more They ruined a beautiful structured blazer with shoulder pads and a full lining, and they have refused not only to speak with me, but to inspect the damage in person. Even more bizarrely, when I called on 6/18 after returning from my trip to inform them that the blazer was still unwearable, with flattened shoulder pads and visible distortion, the manager, R, said she would "look at the cameras" and speak to the owners. Huh? I was shocked by that response. I was reporting damage to a garment, not making some suspicious claim that required surveillance footage of me dropping it off. No one ever called me back. And I have plenty of pics pre-damage. When I called again on 6/23 to follow up because I had not received a return call, R mocked the way I spoke and the tone of my voice(!!!), spoke over me, laughed, and offered only a refund of the dry-cleaning fee. I have never heard of a dry cleaner refusing to even inspect an item when a customer reports damage, or refusing to discuss repair options. I brought the blazer to them twice. It had been tried on multiple times for a formal event in CT, including with my 79-year-old mother, and including just two days before I first brought it in. It fit perfectly, and I was obsessed with it. I have plenty of photos from trying on outfits that show the condition and fit before it was cleaned, damaged, and improperly pressed by Arcadia Cleaners. After the first dry cleaning, the blazer came back visibly damaged, sloppily pressed, and highly distorted. I have a full video documenting the shocking condition and have attached photos to this review. There were lines all over the lining, the seams were not straight, the lining had odd dots, folds, and dents, the pockets were sagging very low, and the shoulder pads -- which gave the garment its beautiful structure -- were oddly pressed flat. When they re-did the cleaning, they at least pressed the lining flat, but the shoulder pads came back even flatter. But the structure, flow and shaping was ruined as can be seen clearly in the before and after pic. This was pressed flat as if it were a dress or a shirt, and it drastically changed the shape of the garment. For some reason, Arcadia Cleaners has not even looked at the blazer to see if it can be fixed. R, the manager, essentially laughed at me today which is not how I expect anyone to treat anyone, and certainly not in a local service business. I am deeply uncomfortable with how dismissive and hostile the response has been. As a member of a minority group, I cannot ignore how I was mocked and treated, especially given their refusal to engage with me respectfully and reasonably, or even look at the item and photos. Whatever the reason, the handling of this situation has been unacceptable. I will be visiting a tailor for an estimate to restore the blazer to the condition it was in before Arcadia Cleaners ruined it, and I will continue pursuing this. I would not trust Arcadia Cleaners with anything -- and certainly not structured, vintage, tailored, lined, delicate, or valuable clothing. Trust the feeling you get when you walk in, look at the types of garments they have hanging up, and notice your interactions with employees who seem to be new and not well trained, which is clearly demonstrated by their work and my continued unprofessional interactions with them. Even the woman checking me in made an error and then couldn't tell me how much the dry cleaning would be. This is how Arcadia Dry Cleaners seems to be choosing to run their business and engage with their customers and community. A dry cleaner should stand behind its work, and be competent to clean and press a lined blazer with shoulder pads. Arcadia Dry Cleaners does not.
