Kinda disappointed with this place. First let's talk about the price. I asked for a quote for 3 small bags, & 8 shoes. The initial price estimate for the job was between $100-$200. Then it went to $275 when I came actually into the store. Then because I did a deposit instead of paying outright ($200 down, the rest when the job's finished). Gave me my order ticket and it said I have a balance of $125. ($50 more). So my total went from $200 (estimate) to $275 (what the shopkeep told me) to $325 (Because... who knows) . Then I tried to pick up my items on Thursday June 8th at 5:47pm but they were already closed. Hours say from 6:30 am-6pm. So I came back again today (Friday) to retrieve my items. Paid off the rest of my (overpriced) balance and this is the end result of their work. Scuff marks, dried up crust, dirt in crevices. This is not $325 work If you're going to charge premium prices, make sure the quality of your work backs it up. Really wished I paid with a card because I would have DISPUTED this with my bank. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. used this shop as reviews mentioned them being capable of re-nailing a cowboy boot heel that had fallen off. Needless to say, I could have done a better repair myself after you YouTube tutorial. They completely ruined a pair of boots. Glued the heel on, and left residual glue seeping out. They then attempted to dye the glue, dying the heel, the leather around the heel and the front stitching!!! Poor quality of work, poor acknowledgement of owners about the work. This shop used to be excellent with luxury shoe sole protection. Do not recommend it now. They placed wrong sole protector to all 5 pairs and said they will give me discount in future with no writing. Then I get home to see they damaged inside of brand new shoe by scraping off leather. My family has been getting our shoes, purses, luggage, etc. fixed here for YEARS. It is a locally owned shop where the husband works in the back and the friendly wife works up front. They do a great job at restoring worn boots, heels, fixing purses, etc. My favorite purse recently lost a screw and I was not hearing back from the designer so I took it in to see what they could do and they had a similar one!! YAY! They've also restored worn Tory Burch wedges and boots for me. My ONLY complaint is that they can be a tad pricy but hey, sometimes when you outweigh the cost of a new expensive pair of shoes, it does make sense to just get your current pair fixed. I've taken a few clients shoes here in the past couple of months. The service at the counter has been wonderful each time I have gone in to drop off and pick up. They are friendly and kind with welcoming smiles. The men's dress shoes I have dropped off have come back looking amazing. They were well conditioned and looked new! Women's boots dropped off for the same reason also came back looking like new. Recently dropped off multiple pairs of designer heels and was forewarned that it might be difficult to fix the scruffs given the material and location. I appreciated the warning but when I went to pick them up, they didn't say anything and when I checked them it appeared that one pair wasn't even touched. When I asked, I was told that they couldn't match the color. I acknowledge that I was forewarned but it would have been nice to have been told when I picked it up rather than me discovering it for myself. Will continue to take items to them but will just consider what services they need first. read more

I had purchased a pair of beaded sandals about 10 years ago and the kitten heel style was hard to walk in. I have tried several times to support this business, which is in my community, however the new owners have absolutely ruined the good service I once received. I was absolutely appalled at the job that was performed for me this year. The work looked as if a child did the repairs. I asked for blue matching thread and I was given black. None of the stitching was done evenly or even straight. The expense was outrageous for a sloppy job. When asked about the poor job it said it is just for a dog. Well I care about how it looks. This shoe repair store absolutely ruined my Italian $500 boots. They scraped and ruined the underside when replacing the tip of the heel. The underside is blue so the gouges stand out. On top of that, the tips are the wrong size and put on crooked! I could have done a better job myself. I'm torn on this one. I love supporting local, family-owned businesses more than most people I know (try me!), but price is definitely an unavoidable factor as to whether I can continue to patronize a shop like this. I took a pair of heels and boots here and it was $90 total to get them both fixed. Granted, they weren't in the best shape, but that still seemed extraordinarily high. I will give them credit for two things, though: 1. The workmanship was stellar. Worth paying for but maybe not quite that much :) 2. They open at 6am on weekdays. How awesome is that. It gets old for businesses to only open between 9am and 5pm as if somehow the world can get all their errands done during that timeframe. This is my third time I've been to this location, the first time they repaired my burgundy leather satchel and shoes which came out nice, then just this last Saturday 12/28/19 I went in at 8am I had an emergency and asked the gentleman if there was anyway he could get it done by 11am and he said yes, I left them and picked them up no problem, he had them ready on time but not only that my shoes came out WAY BETTER THAN I EXPECTED this pair is an Allen Edmonds 10.5 McAllister wingtips which I wear regularly for work and off work to go out, so you can imagine how beat up they were, they had scuffs and the leather was really worn out in the front, I am definitely going back again for my loafers, of course don't expect for a cheap brand of dress shoes to come out nice, really invest in real leather shoes and you will get the same results. read more

Please note that I went to The Shoe Shop to repair two leather jackets-so I can't speak to their shoe repair services. I had two leather jackets with tears on them. One down a seam and the other on the arm(not on a seam). The gentleman that helped us was very short and rushed when quoting us a price. After being a bit flustered and agreeing to the $80 for both jackets to be repaired, we left. He told us we should expect to have our jackets fixed a week from when we dropped them off. Three days later we got the call that the jackets were done. (Which was a plus as the turnaround time was quicker than originally quoted). When I picked up the jackets the lady behind the counter was much nicer and more accommodating than the man that helped us when we dropped them off. She brought our jackets out in a plastic trash bag and I looked them over to see the repair. The jacket with the tear on the seam looked to be repaired well, yet the stitching used to fix the tear was black, while all other stitching on the jacket was tan. I brought this to her attention and she asked if I wanted to send it back to be redone. I told her no, as I wasn't very thrilled with the idea of another interaction at the shop. The jacket with the tear on the arm looks to have been glued, and the tear (now glued back together) looks to be bigger than it was when I dropped it off. For $80.00 I would have expected more. Maybe this shop is better at shoe repair than leather repair. Disappointed overall. read more

I am amazed! I wear heels...all the time. I fall in love with certain pairs and inevitability need to have the tips of my stilettos replaced. I had been putting it off, because I thought I would be without my favorite pairs for a few days. I called The Shoe Shop. They were so friendly and said if I can in before 2pm they could fix my shoes while I waited. What??? I got there about 1:30 and (having a blonde moment) was wearing one of the pairs i needed fixed. The gal took the shoes I was wearing and the other pair to the back, where the magic happens. She came back seriously 2 minutes later with perfectly repaired heels. I could not believe it! Have had two horrible experiences with this place and will never use them again. The first experience was my wife brought in a vintage coach purse to get the handle fixed. They said they would be able to fix the handle on the inside so you couldn't see the fix. They did the opposite, very clearly fixing it on the outside, making it look cheap. Second experience was I brought two pairs of dress shoes in to get shined. They wrecked both pairs, causing discolored spots all over both shoes. They refused to fix them and blamed it on me saying they were like that when I brought them in. Will never use them again. read more

Another specialty is leather repair, which they can work on broken or damaged straps, handbags, and belts. If your new diet is working so well that your belts are too big for you, the guys in the store will punch you a new hole to save you from having to buy anything new. I come here often to replace the rubber tip on my high heels I use for work. I walk around a lot and prob reach a max of 6 months each pair but at some point, I do have to maintain and replace the rubber tips. This place does and amazing job. I trust their work and the gentleman there is very kind and super fast. I've requested same day service and they were able to accommodate that.
