Terrible behavior from staff. The main card holder of my account has his card temporarily blocked due to a faulty item he bought that broke and Costco is refusing a return even though the item is brand new. While this dispute is on going they blocked his access to enter the store. I went straight to membership services to see if I was blocked too. They said I was fine to shop and when I go to check out to tell the cashier that Steve said it was fine for me to check out. At the register my card is scanned while I'm trying to explain the situation the cashier was absolutely horrendous, was extremely rude about it and refused to listen to a word I said. Then comes two employees, again I try to explain what's happening and instead I'm being interrogated as if I'm a criminal. After a while they told me either I can pay for the items or get a new membership, because apparently doing both was too much critical thinking on their part. The woman at the membership services was great, but the rest of the employees were rude, inconsiderate, had accusatory language for something I haven't done and lacked listening and critical thinking skills. The experience was so bad I'm ready to just cancel my membership and get my money back. To punish everyone on the account because the main individual for the account is in a dispute is unprofessional business practices. read more

What a nice experience we had at Costco, We went for chlorine tablets which is a great deal. It's a 40 pound tub of 3" tablets. The other thing they carry is water softener salt. This item gets moved around the warehouse. Rather than wander, I found a staff member and asked where I could find both. The tablets were close to the registers so that made it easy. Next was the salt which was all the way in the back corner. On my way I was looking for a Lesser Evil Pop corn. I didn't see it with all the chips so we kept going. We were having trouble locating the salt despite getting directions. I asked another staff member, and he pointed to the salt which was on the opposite side of what I was told. It is a 50# bag at an incredible value. We got two large bags and decided another would be good, a young man was waiting for us to move as he wanted the same thing. I thought to ask him nicely if he would help with the third bag. He was strong and happy to do so. On the way to the register, I saw the popcorn in the middle of the warehouse. It's on sale this month so if you like the popcorn, score a bag. We saw our helper on the way out and he offered to unload all into the car for us. How kind of him! This small gesture was so special. This is my favorite Costco location due to the easy availability of parking in a huge lot, and proximity to the 101 Freeway, and several nearby restaurants. The food court has lots of room to sit down to enjoy that pizza slice or hot dog and the staff are usually pretty friendly. This is also the location I always go to for my eyeglass prescriptions. I have been a Costco preferred member for more than forty years. The pharmacy at this store on Beardsley is a poor example of professional performance. I called in two prescriptions on a Monday. They called back and said they would be ready by Thursday. I arrived on Friday and they could not find any prescriptions for me. It should be noted that they have only two registers and the wait line had seven customers when I was there. The Walmart store I patronized had five registers and staff to man them. I'm going back to Walmart for my prescriptions. You might want to do the same. read more

I use this Costco mostly for gasoline. Price lately has been $3.10 order stations across our valley ate at least 10, sometimes 40 cents more. I use my Costco Credit card for 5% back. I can select between regular and zoom-zoomm. When I fumble at the pumps and can't get a nozzle in the tank, card swiped, or pump to work at all, help is on the way! Yelling and degrading a poor instacart worker right in front of me to the point where she was visibly upset. The #1 thing I love about Costco is their absolutely generous return policy. I can try anything out in their store and return it and get all my money back. In fact, you can return items to other Costco's. Sometimes I would forget my receipt and they'd still find a way to give me a 100% refund; it's still easier to do this with a receipt though. A normal membership costs $60 a year and you can share it with at least one person. You get access to tons of good deals. In fact, they have monthly sales which Sam's Club does not have. And if you don't like the taste of one of your groceries, then return it. A Costco membership even gives you access to their gas station which always has people in it because they are a little bit cheaper than other gas stations. Also note that each Costco has slightly different products. Thus, if you're looking to make a minor change up, feel free to visit another Costco in the area. read more

They're getting rid of all of the products I got a membership for, and replacing them with low quality junk. They traded the standard and popular women's secret deodorant for this cheap dove cucumber junk. No one wants to smell like a freaking cucumber and BO!! They got rid of whisps, one of the only crunchy low carb snacks in existence. In fact, they seem to be getting rid of a lot of the lower carb items. They swapped out the 3 bridges egg bites for their own brand that has far more carbs. The entire reason people choose egg bites is to avoid carbs! SMH. Do better, because since I'm having to order half these things online now anyway, I might as well cancel my wasteful executive membership. read more

THIS COSTCO LOCATION DESERVES A MILLION STARS! It checks all of the boxes! MEGS at the customer service front desk is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! She always goes above and beyond to help me. I met her way back when I became a member. She never forgot my name and ALWAYS greets me by name when I leave and walk by the desk. She also educated me on my Costco app and showed me how to request a product that is no longer available (my favorite Don Lee Farms shredded chicken tacos)! She left a lasting impression and I always look so forward to seeing her smile and amazing customer service skills! Over the years-Ellen has also taken the best care of me! I believe I met her up at the front desk but see her all over the store. She also always remembers my name and will stop me in the store and say hello. She is also a huge asset to Costco. Kollie!! I always get in his line at checkout! Always! I feel several others do the same bc his line is always longer but it moves faster than all others! He is so efficient and helpful. He is extraordinary at his job! Silver is always the last person I see while exiting. It must be a prerequisite to have an outstanding personality and exceptional customer service to work at Costco! She also told me about my favorite short rib lasagna. On that occasion-I went back inside and bought it! It was sooooooo delicious! Went to Costco eye center and saw De Vafaee: literally lasted 10 min. I told her about my vision concerns. She seemed to laugh them off. Check eyes...1 or 3...2 or 3...2 right? Next eye...1 or 3...2 or 3 probably the same right? She told me my prescription hadn't changed but it has cause I've had to get different readers this year. She said yes 2+ when literally my readers say 2.5. Sooooooo my script should have changed. $140 bucks for 10 minutes? And, for her to not compare to last year or identify a change. I enjoyed meeting my doctor and he was generous with his time for the money I spent. He was from Thailand originally, and I think his name was DeMille. Anyway, the experience with him was fine but the glasses turned out horrible. \ The old glasses I had were SO MUCH better than the vision that I have from these new glasses. There's only one tiny spot that I can see properly from with the new glasses, and I have to tilt my head to a funny position in order to see properly for reading and so forth. Quite unacceptable! When I called the optical department, they suggested that I have the doctor check the prescription again and I called to arrange that. While I believe that most products and services from Costco are great, I would NOT rely on Costco for quality optical work. I believe they are not as committed to customer service in the optical dept as Costco is in general. read more

Costco has just gotten to a new low. After making you swipe your card before you go in and not taking orders in order at the food court, they have made this place a self serve paradise for them, not the customer. Most Kirkland brand products taste like crap and I don't buy them, if you an find the item you're looking for and they have it you are super lucky. Today after swiping my card at the entrance, and ordering a pizza and paying for it. I went shopping for 20 minutes and then checked out to return to the food court with my pizza receipt. I was then lectured to talk to them before picking up my whole pizza so that call in orders have time to take priority. F*** you I did not make up these stupid rules about how you manage your food output for the food court. My ordered item was paid for and I gave them 20 minutes to prepare the damn pizza and if it wasn't ready I was prepared to wait a few minutes due to your new rules on how you run that kitchen. Not only was I upset that I got the lecture on yet another damn COSTCO rule about how to perform as a customer, I got home and my stinkin pizza was undercooked and basically doughy in the crust. I had to recook it myself to reheat for a palatable eating experience. I'm tired of all the rules that the customer has to follow to shop in your limited store while the price of membership goes up. You owe me a new pizza and I also cannot log into your GD website due to password issues that have taken way too long to correct for a new password. FU several times over. PHARMACY: Where to begin... I've attempted to fill here now 3 or 4 times, every single time is an excuse of incompetence. This last time was called by a Costco employee (female at 4:38p 12/30) told my prescriptions would be ready on 12/31 for partial or thursday 01/02 for all filled. This Costco used to be great and their is a couple really great employees but it has been going down hill even before Covid caused things to get crazy. The person at the exit "Susan" was talking to another employee and didnt even look at the items in my cart nor even look at me for that matter. Whats the point of having them there if they not doing the job? I used to do this job many years ago at a BJs wholesale club. She verified nothing. Also, why do you have vendors (Cable sales) right now? You got posted rules and people are trying to just get their shopping done without any hassle. Last week when I was in there some guy was hounding me about cable. I said no thank you and he kept pushing and pushing. I think it's a management problem because this place used to be a great place to shop. Yes there is those customers who refuse to wear masks and many who are walking around with it below there nose or worse around their neck. I didn't see employee's not wearing them but come on guys if you got a posted rule you need to enforce it. Also, there is a cashier by the name of Kelli, by far the rudest and she just gets more rude as time goes on. She really needs to find a job where she doesn't interact with people because she is so grumpy and her customer service skills SUCK! Costco serves a purpose... and it's great for stocking up on everything from toiletries, gum, snacks, large portions of fresh food, electronics, bottled water, electronic items, etc... I guess it's good for pretty much everything if you're looking for great prices and/or large amounts! I agree with Nadia that this location is primo! However, going to Costco can be an ordeal - you have to deal with parking, showing your id upon entering, finding what you're looking for, and then finding space in your car for everything you end up purchasing (which if you are anything like me, is much more than you anticipated going in). The other day, I convinced future yelper, Alexa M, to join me for a 'quick trip' to Costco. We were going in to purchase an ipod (birthday present for my sister). That's all we were going to purchase. But while we were there, we had to look around a bit... in addition to the ipod, we ended up checking out with a 12 pack of Dentyne Fire (my favorite gum), a DVD of season 3 of Prison Break (for Alexa), a 3 pack of Calvin Klein tank tops, and an itunes card to go with the ipod. Upon check out, I was told that my Costco membership was up for renewal... so add another $100 to my total. I paid and texted Jared that I renewed the membership and he called and said to get it reversed since he did it just a few weeks ago... add a Customer Service nightmare to this scenario as he gets on the phone and tells them it's been paid, Alexa leaves her keys in the ladies room (but luckily gets them back), I try to get reimbursed but the credit card machine won't work so they reimburse me cash instead, and then when we leave, the guy at the door realizes they charged me twice for the tank tops! Ugh - I was happy they caught the double charge, but this trip ended up being even more of an ordeal than usual. I will continue to go to Costco as soon as our membership renewal debacle is taken care of, but I will just make sure that when I go, I am patient and plan enough time...
