If you believe in justice you owe it to yourself to read this review Do the right thing-Costco's motto since its founding But wow, just wow, what I experienced today would make you think that was thrown straight out the window. Oh my gosh, wish I could give this location zero stars, not for the Costco itself, because it seemed just like every other Costco, and not for the employees either.....well, at least not most of them. My family and I usually go to a Costco closer to our house and that at that Costco, we have the best experience. We came inside this one, however, and had a normal experience-at first that is- after a long road trip and went about our shopping, it was earlier evening today and we are a big family and have about three hundred dollars worth of shopping every time we go to Costco. We came to the cashier table, not expecting the horror we were to be met with At the cashier table, the man was tall, had long, brown, unbrushed hair and a not very clean shave, say he was rash and just as we were able to pull through the crowd of other shoppers, he began harassing my mom over whether or not she wanted her items boxed, not which she kindly replied yes, which I thought was odd since Costco usually just does this already. He quickly began taking items out of are carts and tossing them onto the conveyer belt. It wasn't like he was in a rush cause he was chatting it us with a co-worker during this, nor was he intimidated by the larger order, for the lady before us had a similar sized order. Well, he took items out of our hands and began doing the same thing, to which my mom responded we usually go to another Costco and were sorry if me and my siblings were doing something wrong, to which he said haughtily and wryly "really, they usually do things the same at EVERY SINGLY COSTCO, you sure? And then with a patronizing voice "are you sure this isn't your first time at Costco" Like WHAT? It's not like we are stupid; his comments to follow were the same in manner, and honestly plain rude. Then he told his co worker, who told him to put our items in boxes, that he wasn't going to, because we weren't deserving of them after that I guess. He then threw our items to the end of the belt and made us grab the scattered things and put them back into our carts, we were all horrified. I am writing this not to be petty, but because this is honestly terrifying and something others shouldn't have to suffer. This man's name was Isaiah, I really hope Costco sees this review, and I hope that they will do the right thing, because so far, I feel like that motto has been lost with this hiring, because my entire family was literally shaking after this experience. read more

This is my favorite Costco staff is always super nice and Costco itself is just an amazing company. I've never been to a Costco I didn't like, but the hard-working staff at this Costco makes it worth leaving a review. Also the food court has killer deals you can't beat the hotdog and drink and adding a slice of pizza still makes it around four dollars. Best lunch spot for those on a budget, or those that just wanna get good food for less money. read more

Are all Costco's created equal? At first glance you'd likely respond with a "yes": card me at the door? Check. Herd through the featured items along the wall then a quick bombardment of the always-tempting big screen televisions? Check. Into the vast open expanse filled to the rafters with a myriad assortment of stuff you never knew you needed? Check. What DOES set them apart however is the vibe you get in any given location and this one, for me, sets it apart in some way. Aside from the proximity to home there is a more relaxed feel here than in, say, Scottsdale or even the Paradise Valley Mall location - both of which can often give of a bit of a snooty vibe. Could be my imagination but I don't think so. While the store is almost always busy, like any other, it still somehow feels a bit easier to navigate. The staff is cheerful and ready to help, even when busy stocking or tidying things up. Check out is always going to be crowded but really overall it moves pretty quickly and again the staff is engaging and efficient. Unless I'm away from the neighborhood with another Costco nearby if I'm really in need of something quick, I'll stick to this location. It's a winner. read more

This is a nice Costco location. Right off the freeway, so easy to grab and go on our way home to Cave Creek. Prices are a little higher than in our former hometown of San Diego. Nice selection of fresh meats, seafood, and wine and liquor. Four stars for the nice service I've received here, might have snagged a fifth for easier in and out of the parking lot. No lights make it a dicey play especially during the evening commute hours. Overall a very nice Costco with cashier lanes that move quickly and efficiently. We will be back. read more

My son injured himself in this store in July. When it happened, no employees came to check on us, despite one being next to us cleaning up a mess my daughter had just made, and when I called the manager later to tell him about it he brushed us off by offering us pizza. We are a large family who does the majority of our grocery shopping at Costco and are severely disappointed with this location and the callous treatment we're receiving. Even after contacting corporate, there was still no follow up by Costco themselves. My son needed two staples in his head after falling off a bench in the food court backwards and hitting it on exposed bolts. These bolts could easily be covered and shouldn't be exposed in a place where people are sitting as it is! If his sister had not been there to slow down his fall, it could've been much worse, and I'm complaining here mostly because I do not want another little kid injured or worse! read more

If I could leave no stars, I'd do that instead of one! My son went to this location to purchase a Mac Book laptop for me - upon his check out, the cashier Angie called a manager (Randy) over who advised my son he's not on the membership card (photo) and is required to be an authorized user. Completely understanding of the policy, my son said "ok" and began leaving the register. Instead of allowing my son to continue on his way, Randy added, "It's like a license. You can't use someone else's license to drive." Upset at this unwarranted and unsolicited comment, my son turned and replied, "shut the f*** up", and left the store. Upon my return to the same store a mere hour later to buy the same laptop, I purposely went to Angies register and while I was there, she spent a great deal of time whispering to her co-worker and looking around in search of someone (or something). Keep in mind, Angie never even looked me in the face and showed little to NO customer service or basic decency while I stood there. She handed me my receipt and directed me to another counter for my item (still whispering and by this time, behaving very discrete with a gentleman who approached the register). I confirmed with my son, that was not the man who he encountered earlier. We walked to that counter and was approached by Dave (another manager and the man who was being whispered to by Angie at the register) who immediately said to my son, "Just a warning, if you talk to or disrespect my employees like that again, we'll revoke your membership..." I interrupted and said, "I'm the damn member, you address ME, not my child! And if you're at all management material, you'll find out what truly transpired earlier instead of assuming you know what happened just because your little girl over there (pointing to Angie) decided to play childrens games by tattle-tailing instead of being an ADULT and talking to me! YOUR employee (Randy) DISRESPECTED my son and he reacted! So let's get your employee here and have a discussion with HIM about HIS customer service skills! And if you wanna revoke my membership, don't bother - I'm HAPPY to GIVE the damn thing back to you. There's ALWAYS Sam's Club!" Dave calmed down and said he'd listen to my son's explanation of the events that took place. When he explained, Dave apologized and said he would have a conversation with Randy regarding his actions. Dave was also nice enough to give me the names of Randy and Angie so I could report them to Corporate - my next letter is a copy of this review to their corporate office. On my way out, I told Angie, "I'm going to enjoy reporting your lack of customer service skills to your corporate office". She found it funny and said, "Ha, my lack..." and I stopped listening. I rarely meet any professional, decent and well trained employees at this location so I have no idea why I keep going back. I'm concluding that I'm hard up for a bargain but after today's experience with such low class, disrespectful, taunting, and arrogant employees; I think my bargain days are going to be well spent at Sam's Club from here on out! If nothing else; the cashier was Angie and her boy was Randy! Keep an eye out for those two - they seem to believe they're above their customers - the people that keep them employed! read more

Ink cartridge refills! Have you tried it at Costco? Well, today I did just that. I was skeptical, but I was also tired of paying $35 for each HP ink cartridge that only lasts couple of months and I don't use the printer that often. Today I paid $10 to have my old one refilled. It took 15 minutes for them to do it while I did my usual shopping. Came home and used it to print a document and can't tell the difference between the original one and the refill. I highly recommend it. I will edit my review if the ink refill doesn't last as long as the original, but so far the experience and the quality is awesome. read more

I've never been a huge huge fan of Costco. They do however have really good prices and really good healthy food as well as a selection of organic. Other patrons aren't always the greatest when it's super busy. However the staff is usually pretty keen and good at what they do. Their food over at the little luncheon area is pretty decent and passable. All in all having a membership here isn't worth it unless you're a health nut. Do however get one and use it. All Costcos are pretty generic. They all carry the same stuff, have great rotisserie chickens and get you hooked on things they only carry once and never again. However, I have to say how impressed I am with the Costco Pharmacy on Beardsley. The pharmacists get to know you and they remember things (Like weren't you nauseous the last time you took this?). I have had tech staff like Rebecca go miles out of her way to fix a messed up transfer from an out of state pharmacy and frankly, I have found all staff to be polite and accommodating. While my insurance constantly begs me to go with their pharmacy, I feel safer using folks I know and trust. read more

I absolutely love Costco. Whether it is filling your car up with gas or stopping by the food court for a hot dog, it is easy to find a bargain. My only complaint is all my friends from Seattle tell me that they now offer a delicious hamburger, but it has yet to make its way down to Arizona. read more

Chatted with corporate, no refunds without original receipt. Well in my situation that is impossible. Long story short: I won an Apple Watch at an expo. The watch is the 44mm and too big for my wrist. I attempted to exchange it for s smaller watch. The Apple store scanned the serial # and said it was purchased at a Costco in 12/18. So I went into two Costco and was denied because I do not have the original receipt. Well of course I don't. I don't want a refund. I want to exchange this watch and pay an additional $100 to upgrade to the cellular watch. I just do not understand the problem. So I am stuck with a watch that is too big. Oh well live and learn. My wife and I have been members since the early 80's and have relied on Costco across the lower 48 and even Puerto Rico. Costco offers the highest quality products with unmatched support across the business from gas and tires to tools to food and prescriptions, electronics, clothing, jewelry and more. The food samplers are always fun and friendly. The auto center is competent and courteous, and tire rotations and fills are free, capped by a friendly call that your car is ready. The hot dog and soda is legendary but there are many other restaurant choices too. Oh,and their roast chicken provides high quality protein for several meals for 5 bucks. We buy one every week. We actually go to Costco sometimes just to meet, walk and people watch. We can snack and check out product demos while getting a little exercise . We joke that if Costco doesn't have it, we don't need it. Lastly, the Costco Visa is an awesome credit card with great rewards. Bottom line: we trust Costco. Well, gotta go now and work on installing more shelving in my Costco room. read more

Pretty convenient location. Lots of parking outside. Carts can be hard to find and hope they have been cleaned. Lots of new products and Asian goodies. Lines can be huge so better to go there as soon as they open or an hour before closing. Love to roam the aisles and gives a happy vibe to the day. I highly recommend shopping here if you don't mind buying in bulk, it ends up being cheaper in the long run. Every time I visit they suck you into buying something that wasn't on your list. Omg I went with a member and I wanted to buy something for us instead of the member paying. The guy at the checkout refused me buying anything. He kept saying the card is not transferable. This store went from being my favorite to least favorite in months. I have a couple complaints. 1- I'm not sure if they changed meat vendors but they used to have the best steaks. The last 3 times I got meat from Costco it was gross. Their current Prime steaks taste worse than their old Choice steaks. 2- They have a mask policy in place but management doesn't hold staff, or even customers, accountable. I was on the fence about getting a Costco membership, so I went in today to check it out. The greeter greeted my partner and I at the door with a wide, smug smile. He directed me toward the food court, and advised that we'd need a membership card. He laughed when I said, puzzled, "Oh, I didn't know I needed a card to eat here." "You need a card for EVERYTHING here," he snorted. I explained that I didn't realize that because I had eaten at Costco at Christown without a membership card in the past. Just had a ridiculous experience at the Costco on Cavecreek and Beardsley, also tied to the store in the Scottsdale Airpark. Went there to buy a computer that they had advertised at a reduced rate (under $500), purchased said computer at the Scottsdale location, went to pick up the item in there holding area and they told me they didn't have them. They then refunded my money and told me I could pick it up at the Cave Creek and Beardsley location. Once I arrived at their Cave Creek and Beardsley location, found the same computer and they wanted to charge almost $800 for it. In total wasted approximately two-three hours of my day, Not to mention the fuel and left with nothing. With not even as much as an apology or any sense of remorse. Just sorry sucker. Love coming to this Costco when I'm in the area. It's a different layout then the one on union hills. The chips always change like you won't find the same thing you found last week, which is kinda annoying. They don't really give samples at this Costco. I don't understand why this costco has 4 stars?? Butcher was super rude when we asked him a question. I get it's a saturday but it's sort of your job to answer questions? No one working in that department was very pleasant and he didn't offer to help us. One of the cashiers actually yelled at my boyfriend which is so inappropriate!! I wish I had gotten his name. This was just a bad experience with 3 separate employees on the same visit. Someone needs to improve the culture there. Also - it's a small costco without self-checkout. Location is full of depressed, unfriendly and angry Costco managers...aka the usual. The best part of this location was the friendly CDS workers, who gave us our samples with a smile. The CDS has an army of samplers and we had access to about 12 different samples on one decent day. We've been shopping at Costco for 17 years now and at this location (2450 E Beardsley Rd Phoenix, AZ 85050) since it opened. The membership has been good to us and we've purchased all manner of things from Costco. I miss the samples and hope they return one day. I used to shop with store coupons but the days of double coupons are long gone and buying certain items in bulk from Costco more than makes up the the lack of double coupons at the local grocery store. Still I haven't been able to push 1 or 2 shopping carts through the checkout and only pay less than $5 like I was able to do on occasions at the local grocery store. I'm still not sold on whether or not buying a Costco membership is really worth it for me. The store does offer a lot of great items at reasonable prices, but are the prices really that low? I personally don't think I get my moneys worth being single. If you have a large family I think it may be different. If anything, I will break even at the end of the year. I still enjoy going to Costco, I love the warehouse style shopping, and the samples are always delightful. I do wish that they offered self check out. Went today and was really disappointed half my shopping list was "not in". Very frustrating experience

We LOVE LOVE COSTCO... so let's get that out of the way. on our way home from brunch decided to stop at a Costco that we don't shop at but it was on the way home. Everything was as expected as 98% of Costco's are the same more so on a Sunday afternoon. Busy as hell. Had great customer service on the way in, workers were friendly on floor in assuring us locating a few products. Then the downfall at check out. We didn't have a cart so we put our merchandise on the belt with our card. 99% of the time the cashier and the helper are extremely helpful and friendly wellp this was the .1% that our cashier and the helper were not. Sour puss attitude. They proceed to start ringing merchandise from the person behind us on the belt and the car ALTHOUGH we had a separator. I didn't notice right away nor did the customer behind us ( whom stuff was being wrung up on my order) when I realized that there were things being wrung up that weren't ours the helper and cashier proceeded to roll their eyes and huff and stare at us like we had transformed into hippopotamuses directly in front of them. Without saying a single word of acknowledgment they began scanning things on the cart. When again I said the stuff didn't belong to us they got annoyed and said yeah we know we are going to take it off.... ummm I'm sorry that you failed to do your job in the first place and screwed up. I understand the customer isn't always right nor do I expect an apology when it's my screw up ever. HOWEVER! when it's not my screw up it's the employees screw up and instead of a simple apology or even friendly response I get attitude - it's not remotely acceptable. Again I say working in a field where you face customers all freaking day it is expected to that you are kind,friendly and have basic customer service skills. If you hate your job then Quit. Won't shop at this location again. Simple as that. read more
