This review is for the food court. You can't find a better deal for a hot dog on the go. But, the drink selection is just soda. In 2018, soda is the new cigarette. I know they have "Brisk Iced Tea" which is neither Brisk nor Ice Tea. I know the food is an afterthought there even though it's really good. But to just have soda as drinks seems unnecessarily limited. P.S. There's a padlock on the onion dispenser. Do we really live in a world where this is necessary. I'll start this review by saying I love Costco! It is practically the only place we do all of our shopping and my father has been in the company for 30+ years so It's been our favorite place for ever! Yesterday though we came to this location since we were in the area and got everything we needed and were checked out by Amanda B, who was indescribably rude. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but she had a nasty attitude the entire time. She didn't greet us and ignored all our questions. She threw our items to the side when she was scanning them and was just so aggressive with everything she was doing. She didn't even ask if we wanted boxes, just grabbed them and slammed them down on top of all our items. She spoke to my mother in the rudest, most condescending tone. She was like that with the people before us and after us. Needless to say we won't be back at this location after dealing with her; every other location has amazing people with great attitudes and actually look happy to be there! read more

I'm usually not one to leave a bad or nasty review but this one deserves it based on how I felt after speaking with one of the pharmacy workers. A guy by the name of Brian or Bryant.. Every time I call to fill my prescription he gives me the worst attitude from the very beginning. He shouldn't be working the phone or anything having to do with customers, period! He lies about the time it'll take to fill. Then when you call to check up on it at the time he said it will be filled, he acts even more rude by the call and follows up with, "we're working on it" with an immature & annoyed tone. Still unsure why Costco keeps allowing him to answer calls & deal with customers. I have several friends and family that share the same feelings about this person so I know it's not a sensitivity thing or "just me." read more

Why do they even have a greeter here? Why don't they have card reader to get in, instead of a person costing us paying members 19-24k+ per year, standing, taking up space, and with their smug attitude ..."can I see your card". Well NO, I obviously have one and need the card to check out with, so yes I'm here for a purpose, so now get away from me and my children. Go stock some shelves, make yourself useful, do some REAL work. Also I believe if you use their shopping cart for your groceries that you as a customer need to return it BACK to where you found it. Not leaving it out in the parking lot you lazy-ass for someone else (that we as members have to pay) to go collect & retrieve carts from hell's half acres. Eliminating that job would save countless thousands in cash and the mind-bogging time wasted by the red apron zombies shuffling around inside. I have shopped at this Costco location for many years. Over time I have noted that the store has had a surprisingly low level of employee turnover. While it's true that Costco isn't known for having easy to find customer service staff roaming the aisles, I often found myself talking to the same employees each time I visited. There seems to be a complete change of staff, and the change is not good. To be kind let's just say many of them look "rough around the edges". More times than not they stand around talking to each other and act annoyed if you interrupt to ask a question. When they do take a minute to "help" the customer they are usually still talking to another employee or looking off in the distance without talking to the customer. The impression is that they all hate their jobs. More than once I bought an item in the pharmacy department that had a sign indicating that it was on sale. When the cashier rang it up for the regular price they actually argued with me that it was my mistake and refused to do a price check. When I went back later and took a picture of the sign, the service desk people told me "that sign wasn't supposed to be there" and would not refund the difference. The downward spiral of Costco isn't just limited to this one store. I bought one item there based solely on a claim in Costco's ad that it featured an advantage that the competition didn't have. I paid big premium price for the item that could be bought anywhere else for a fraction of the price. When I got it home I discovered that the feature had been misrepresented by Costco. I checked the manufacturer's website to verify then emailed the manufacturer to confirm. They replied promptly and verified that the product Costco sold me was not as represented and instructed me to take it back for a refund. When I did the returns clerk did not want to listen to the reason I was returning it indicating that Costco's policy was "no questions asked". I wanted to help other customers from being duped so I wrote a letter to Costco customer service. After a month in which they ignored me I wrote a review of the product at the Costco website. Costco removed it the next day. I wrote another and they did it again and then the same thing with a third ... all because of my effort to simply help other people understand that the product was not what they expect. After the third rejection I wrote I letter to Costco's executive offices. Guess what? Yes, you guessed it ... they also ignored me. So much for Costco's legendary customer service. RIP read more

This Costco location is the Best, totally better then the one at Arrowhead mall, and you know why. The location is right off the 101, easy access. This Costco had a tire store, i personally get my tires at Discount tire, so i don't know how they are with that... and gas station, great prices , the lines move really fast. I would however like to see them have paper towels handy for spillage. I would like to give them props for getting more and more gluten free items. Would love it even more if they had Gluten Free Pizza at their deli, I would buy that for sure! Really friendly employees. Very clean store and always have samples available. I had an eye exam at this Costco two weeks ago. The price was exactly what was advertised. The office was running on time and I did not have to wait. All of the employees in the office were helpful and polite. Unlike at other eye doctors' offices they weren't trying to up-sell me or push me into a super expensive brand of contacts. My contacts also came at a very highly discounted rate compared to any other office I have ever gone to. I totally recommend checking out their ophthalmologist for your next exam. It was totally hassle-free and I can rarely say that about other eye doctors! read more

I tend to drive out of my way to have my tires checked here and tonight was no exception! They are busy so expect to wait but Darryn helped me check in and had me back on the road after repairing the bolt/nail within a reasonable time! My only stress was if I should enjoy a hot dog or pizza during my wait! My mom was visiting and she asked if I wanted to go to Costco. She has had a membership for years and loves the place. I am a little iffy on it given the fact that I write articles analyzing pricing of different corporations and know from my analysis that Costco is not really that great of a deal. However, she was into it so we went. I loaded up the cart with a bunch of stuff I didn't really need but was interested in and knew it totaled approx $300 (I feel I can never get out of Costco without spending a bunch of money). We went to check out and I was being my awkward self and jokingly said to the cashier, "yeah I never know what to do in the check-out lane." I was trying to be a little self-deprecating about my slight awkwardness. Well, the cashier, with an alarming look on her face, said, "What do you mean??" and my mom replied that it's her membership, not mine, blah blah blah. The lady went into crazy mode and said, "Well then YOU can't use YOUR credit card to pay." Now usually, I wouldn't have cared. However, my mom had paid for everything this entire week. I didn't want her to pay for my random Annie's snacks and cherries. Also, I didn't want the hassle of trying to pay my mom back, it's not like she has Venmo and I certainly don't carry cash. Given the crazy lady's attitude, I said, fine and we left our full cart of stuff. I know Costco doesn't care. They get a lot of business in Phoenix. However, given the selection isn't great, the prices aren't amazing, and I was spending a lot of money, I at least expected some decent customer service. This isn't the first time I've ever been into a Costco and I haven't ever had to worry about who was paying or being secretive about the fact that it's not MY Costco card we are using. I am writing an article about Costco pricing and how the big box store really convinces people to spend more money than they should. I'll update this review and link the article when it's up. However, in the mean time, beware of this Costco. The customer services is lacking and given the amount of money we are spending here, I would find another store to shop at. read more

I love Costco. I love their company policies, they treat their employees well and they treat their customers with respect. If I get something that doesn't work then I take it back. No problem ever returning anything. Their offerings are plentiful and they've really been adding more organic and gluten free options which I am very happy about. This location has very good selections at it. Better than many of the other clubs around town. You can't beat the deal on the rotisserie chicken and the seasonal items are worth grabbing as soon as you can! Great club...gas pricing is cheaper than other locations as well. If there's a bright star in the Costco universe this Store is the farthest from it. the people have always been rude self-centered self-important and do nothing but talk to themselves and ignore practically all the guests. Please understand we pay to shop here Costco we shouldn't be treated like garbage honestly it's like all these people are from another planet or something are some quirky Scientology cult or something...But then the virus happened they decided to make Costco into a big maze thinking that this was one way to separate people or keep people in a self distancing line similar to Disneyland waiting for a ride. Now 14 floor changes later I think they believe they have it solved, they do not, in fact they don't hold to their own standard of having everyone who works there where a mask because that's just a guideline as people take them off or wear them under their chin or pull them down while they're filling your prescription that's just downright scary... today there seemed to be someone from corporate who was visiting the store and all the department heads were following like faithful admirers but the biggest thing that bothered me was this high up corporate entity felt like he and his need to make his presentation and to pontificate his wisdom upon them seemed to think that his mask was not important where everybody in there as a shopper is required to wear a mask and everyone working there is required to wear one I should not have ever been able to see this guy's mouth or hear him talk but to cement my point I had to wait 10 minutes for them to finally move on as not one of those people paid any mind to me waiting to get to the product that they were all blocking as they all stared vacantly at him while he was talking still not wearing his mask but keeping it under his chin if you're going to demand that we wear a mask then you do the same if you're going to demand that we social distance each other then dear God teach your employees to do the same they shouldn't think that they are an exemption they should be the Pinnacle of that rule. read more

Terrible experience. I live in az, and I am a gun toter! I have never had this problem until today for some reason, it is not posted anywhere on the property NO FIREARMS ALLOWED, so I continued to walk inside, again never had a problem till today, I was asked if I could leave the store because I had my firearm on me, I did, I went back and put my gun in my vehicle and walked back in. If it isn't posted no forearms your are allowed to be inside the store, just wanted to keep anyone who also is a gun toter like me updated so you don't run into this problem. Never going to this Costco again, the lady who asked me to leave was not very nice about it either, in my opinion very bad customer service! read more

i recently came in with my mother and they didn't allow me to use her card while she was with me. they said i had to buy my own membership even though my mom was there with me and we always go in together. they didn't allow me to make my purchase that would have been over $300 because of it. i will no longer be buying from costco and will take myself to sams. i will also be canceling my moms membership. read more

Yelp is not affording me the opportunity to leave a review specifically for the "Costco Vision Center" which is what I came on here to do. I should think it should have it's own review space as the optometrists there are not employed directly from Costco as I understand it. I had used Costco Optical department to purchase my contact lenses for many years. Four years ago, when the I found the selection at my optometrist's office seriously lacking as well as exorbitantly priced, I decided to look elsewhere to fill the prescription. I was hesitant as I have heard about some of the inherent problems one may encounter with lower cost providers such as eye wear chains. On the other hand, I felt I could trust a provider that Costco deemed worthy of being in their store. I could not have been more impressed with the woman who helped me with the selection of my glasses. In that first eyewear purchase I learned something that no other provider in well over 50 yrs of eye glass purchases had ever spoken to me about, which had to do with the sizing of the frame. After two more years of a less than happy experience at my regular independent optometrist, I made the next jump & made an appt to see an optometrist at the vision center (to be sure I reference the correct Costco ---2450 E Beardsley), & saw Dr Huff. He was fantastic! Not only was he able to provide me with a prescription for contacts that I had been told were unavailable for my prescription, for the first time in a long time I did not feel that if I improved my far vision that my close was sacrificed & vice versa. There was a marked improvement across the board in my vision that I have not experienced for years. An inquiry I made of Dr Huff regarding a medication I had recently seen on the market was answered with honesty, providing the much needed background info that let me know it was not anything I wanted to consider. I also then purchased my second pair of frames/lenses from Costco, and the woman who helped me with those was also wonderful. I will not hesitate to see Dr Huff & continue to purchase my vision needs from Costco. read more

I shopped Costco on Beardsley Rd., Phoenix and the parking lot was very full as usual, so I parked near the Tire Department service bays, but not in any of the restricted spaces. I then went into Costco and did my usual several hundred dollar purchase shopping trip. When I left the store, and while loading my purchases into my car, an employee of Costco Tire Department came out and accused of stealing a 5 cent tire valve cap from their department. I was never in the Tire Department and told the employee so, and that I didn't know what he was talking about! He continued to berate me over some unknown accusation, that couldn't have been worth more than 5 cents. It was a very disturbing experience! read more

I would like to review a couple of things that happened to me at COSTCO and I would never shop anyplace else if COSTCO has the item. Bought an HP printer and had it for more than two years and it never worked. I was on the phone with HP support weekly and they could never make it work. Finally, HP told me I would have to pay for support as I had owned the printer beyond the time they would support it. I went to COSTCO to purchase a new printer and told the sales person about my experience. He told me to return the printer. It had been about two years since purchase and I told him I could not return it. He told me that I was never happy with the printer and COSTCO wanted me to be satisfied. I returned the printer and it was done without comment. The support staff was most gracious. They returned the full $220 I paid for the printer and I purchased the one they recommended for $139. Its software was written for an Apple computer and it worked very well. Since that time I have purchased several printer at COSTCO. read more

She also armed me with the right questions to ask my insurance company to make sure I would be adequately reimbursed (since Costco wasn't in-network - which, by the way, is the only reason for withholding a star!). read more

I am always a fan of Costco because they provide so many wonderful items in bulk, offering fantastic savings in comparison to other grocery stores, and providing some of the cheapest gasoline in town without resorting to purchasing products to decrease the price. To further support my love of Costco, the store typically provides samples on many of their products, allowing a customer to try the product before they buy. The only reason I removed a star is due to other Costcos having more products than this location. This Costco is still a great location, though. read more

Went with my buddies for some fun and meat. Had bad blisters but floor is soft. After some deliberation on how much was too much meat for the 4 of us. We settled on 6 lbs of beef and a pack of a gazillion hot dogs. My little friends ran from station to station getting free sample while me and the girl stayed back. I almost decided I didn't want want any free samps but then kaboom! whole chocolate eggs. I thought this was very generous. They were hollow but thanks goodness because I probably would have choked. I jammed the whole thing in my mouth. We found some buns and also chips. Very nice. When I got to the parking lot I cried tears of joy for 15 minutes because I was so happy about that egg. It was great. The cooked samples :D bottled waters, prepared food, crab corn chowder, salads, toilet paper. Merchandise is well organized. The food court which only takes cash but has wonderful prices. I really like the 1.69 HUGE ice cream bar hand dipped in chocolate : ) Makes me happy every time. Friendly greeters. Convenient tire change at the mechanic shop. Would always spend 100+ here no matter how conservative we were. There are volume discounts, but you gotta buy TONS in quantity, which racks up the bill. It was still a four stars until... 2 soiled Starbucks coffees (glass bottles) ruins it. *dramatic music here* Such a pity that quality control is under par w/ Starbucks products. read more
